“Nothing…I didn’t know.” Owen said and she smiled. She suddenly felt very relieved. She thought she had admitted all her feelings for him. She wouldn’t doubt that happening. It seemed like something she would do while she was drunk. She felt so relieved. Running a hand through her hair she walked out from behind the screen and smiled at him. She was newly dressed in her fitted red t-shirt and jean shorts that showed off her legs, but not too much. “You don’t remember anything?” He inquired. She thought back and shook her head. “I only remember up to when you ordered me another drink. I don’t remember drinking it though. After that it’s all a blur.” She answered honestly. She really wished she would have been able to remember what she did and said. It would have made a lot of things easier. She felt like she had said something last night, but she couldn’t remember what. It had been something important. She must have told someone else beside Owen because he already said she hadn’t said anything to him. She believed him. Why would he lie to her? There was new reason unless she had something serious like- wait no. Delilah, wake up. Owen said you didn’t say anything to him so you didn’t. Okay? She thought. She really was forceful to herself wasn’t she? As she walked out of her bedroom she watched Owen follow her. She turned around and walked backwards so she could still see him and those brilliant blue eyes. “Did you have fun last night?” She asked smiling. “I hope I didn’t ruin your time.” She said twirling a loch of hair. Delilah really was worried that he hadn’t had fun because he was too busy babysitting Delilah. The last she wanted to be was a burden especially to Owen when he was supposed to be having a good time, not caring for her. As they made it to the kitchen and she grabbed her cupcake box and smiled. Opening it up, she lightly grabbed a red velvet cupcake and then closed the box again. She put it back in its place and smiled at her cupcake. “This looks sooooo good.” She smiling twirling around again. This time she didn’t stumble or fall like last night. Skipping to the seat next to Owen she sat down a smiled at him. “ Bon appetite.” She said smiling. Delilah unwrapped the cupcake and took a bit of it. “ Nom nom nom.” She said quietly as she ate the cupcake happily. “What did you to do today?” He asked as he finished off his vanilla cupcake. Delilah took a couple more bites of her cupcakes and then it was done. She smiled and answered, “ I don’t care. I’m tired and I feel like being lazy. Very un-Delilahlike I know, but I just really don’t want to anything today.” She smiled weakly at him and drummed her fingers on the counter. “I’m good to do whatever.” He said to her. She smiled and said, “Good.” She said. She looked at him happily and remembered her dream. It had been so amazing. It was the first day they met. Delilah remembered it so clearing. It all started on the full moon. She was so weak and hurt. She’d barely eaten anything since the attack. She hadn’t had anything to eat. Full moon always took a lot of werewolves so you could imagine that Delilah was about to just give up. When Delilah woke up she got dressed and tried her best to walk, but she was so weak that she kept collapsing. She couldn’t even make it out of the forest. She thought that it was the end for sure. That was when she saw those blue eyes. It was like he was her angel. Delilah remembered him talking to her and her weak responses. Suddenly he asked her if she wanted to live with her and she nodded. She didn’t think he would do anything to her because he looked so nice and she was so weak. Owen had even carried her to his apartment. When she got there she finally ate something and then slept in the guest bed room for hours and when she woke up she felt great.
“Umm..I hope you’re free tonight.” He said smiling. She raised an eyebrow and smiled. “Well you’re lucky that I am.” She said smiling. Where would they go and why? Hmm…where would Owen bring me? She thought. Biting her lip she listened as he said, “I…want to invite you somewhere with me tonight. I won’t tell you where.” She laughed and hit him on the arm lightly. “You butt much! I want to know! Tell me! Please!” She said. Delilah put on her puppy dog face and batted her dark eyelashes. She wondered if this would work on him. It had worked before on some guys, but she wasn’t sure. Then she stopped her face with she felt Apollo’s wet nose poke her leg. She giggled and stroked his head. He seemed satisfied with this and trotted off to one of their rooms to probably sleep. “So Owen, want to go lounge around?” She asked smiling at him.

Damn did he feel horrible. He felt like dirt, like scum lying to Delilah, well, technically it wasn't lying. He had had his hopes, and his thoughts about it, but she had just confirmed them last night. Pausing, Owen opened his mouth and mused softly, "Well...things I thought of anyway." he added, not wanting to lie to Delilah first thing in the morning. Ever. As she spoke of not remembering much after the other drink, Owen felt even worse. So he'd been pretty much responsible for getting her another drink and getting her drunk. Way to go, wolf, he swore at himself, and scowled slightly, hardly noticing if Delilah had seen it or not. He felt like crap now. She didn't deserve him, not when he kept chickening out on everything. Groaning slightly, he looked up as Delilah finished off her cupcake and had the same feeling he did about today. Just have a lazy day. Pausing he mused, "Or.." he grinned lightly, it was supposed to be a cloudy day, which meant less people out in the forest, "We could go 'hiking'." he suggested, his tone of voice saying it all. He wouldn't mind going and messing around up in the forest, playing around and tailing Delilah, having fun in a way they could only speak through mannerisms and growls or whatever. Then they could lounge up there, besides, Owen then commented, "There's...also something up there too..if you want to see it. It won't take too long if we want, an hour tops, then we can come back here and lounge, watch movies or whatever." Owen suggested, patting Apollo as the dog came by for his morning pets. The dog whined happily and Owen mused, "I'll take you for a walk later."
Hearing her begin to beg, Owen wrinkled his nose and shook his head. He wouldn't tell her anything. Secrets were his kind of thing, and he loved them. Therefore, Delilah wouldn't get a peep out of him unless she really coaxed him. The wolf then mused, "Nah...let's stay in today, weather's horrible anyway. You pick the movie." Owen suggested, ruffling his thick hair slightly as she asked if he was ready. He was so ready. Owen was about ready to just sleep on his couch all day with Delilah right next to him. Now that would be nice. Flopping onto his couch, Apollo jumped up right next to him, and Owen patted the spot next to him for Deli after she picked whatever they would be doing first. "I don't bite...much." he teased, flashing an innocent, toothy smile towards the brunette.
- - - - - - - - - -
The day had passed without incident, Owen had taken Apollo out a few times to do his business, and other than that, they hadn't left the apartment. Owen didn't mind, playing video games with Delilah had been the best, both winning and losing some. Now though, the sun had set, and the sky was darkening. He looked to Delilah and spoke, "I'll tell you enough to wear something you're comfortable in public in." he grinned lightly, letting Delilah do whatever she needed to do. While she happened to be in the bathroom though, Owen sneaked into her room and snatched up a few of her songs, not looking at them and he hid them casually behind his back as he nudged Delilah out the front door, "C'mon." He grinned lightly, remaining near her before he then, once they were outside the building, he offered to her some of her songs he'd grabbed. "I'm sorry...but..." he smiled weakly, "I wanted it to be a surprise." Owen sighed softly, as they walked together, and he then soon led her to a nice-looking bar, restaurant area, and then the stage up in the back, with a mic up there and someone, who looked like a regular person up on stage reading poetry or something. Keen eyes landed on someone he recognized, a talent spotter for a local company. Grinning eagerly, Owen nodded to Damien, the bartender and owner, before he mused, "Deli...I...got you a spot tonight, to sing." He mused, hoping she liked the surprise. God he wanted her to be happy, to be as happy as possible, course he would let her not sing if she didn't want to, but Owen wanted her to sing for others, but just as long as she was happy.

was going to bring up suddenly stood like a stone as you stood quietly you're making it hard for me - - - - - - - - - ► all i can do is freeze “Or…we could go ‘hiking’.” He said grinning lightly. Delilah knew exactly what he meant. He meant that they could shift and run around as they pleased. It did sound like fun. Sometimes it was a lot of fun to shift and then run around as a wolf. It gave the two something different to do. It gave them to chance to do something different than they normally did on a day to day basis. “ Sounds like it could be fun.” She smiled looking at him while her elbow was propped up on the table and her head rested against her open palm. “There’s…also something up there too…if you want to see it, it won’t take too long if we want, an hour tops, then we can come back and lounge, watch movies or whatever.” He suggested petting Apollo. Delilah smiled a bit bigger and then looked off the side. It was what she did she was thinking or deciding something. She tapped her chin lightly and then turned her gaze back to Owen, where it belonged. “ Whatever you want to do is fine with me. Either way seems like it could be a barrel of fun. So you choose.” She said leaving the decision up to him. She smiled at him and began to hum quietly to herself. Then when Owen said he was going to take her somewhere tonight, but he refused to tell her where. She used her puppy dog face, but he didn’t crack. He only made a poor adorable face being wrinkling his nose and shaking his head. She sighed and pouted. She should have known better. Owen was as loyal as a dog…ha ha…ironic much? But in all seriousness he was loyal and was great at keeping secrets. If you ever had to tell someone a secret the best person to go to was definitely Owen. He’d hear you out and try to help you most likely. He would never tell your secret. Delilah had never been able to get a secret out of him. Well, there was this one time when Delilah really wanted to know what Owen was getting her for her birthday and well she basically had to put him in the most awkward situation she could think of without freaking him out too much. That was the only time she had been able to do such a thing. She was lucky to even get that. It had taken a lot of work to get it out of him, but Delilah was determined when she really wanted to know something. But she knew that Owen would never tell this and she decided to wait. It might be more fun that way. “Nah…let’s stay I today, weather’s horrible anyway. You pick the movie.” he said ruffling his midnight hair. Delilah nodded and smiled. She skipped over to where they kept the DVD’s and scanned over them. Then she spotted ‘Green Hornet’ and she smiled big. It was one of her favorite movies. Pulling it out she walked to the TV and turned the DVD player on. She put the disc in and then moved to the couch. “I don’t bite…much.” He teased. She shook her head and said in reply, “ Let’s hope not.” She watched him pat the seat next to him and she smiled. She plopped down next to him. She then adjusted her position so she was leaning up against the arm of the couch with her legs on his lap. She winked playfully at him and then giggled. “ Let’s watch the movie!” She said happily. - - - - - - - - - - Delilah watched the day fly by so fast. She had spent the whole day with him and no one else. Well Apollo too of course, but no one else. They had watched the movie then played video games. Delilah had always played video games with her boyfriends and Hayden when she was in high school. She didn’t want to boast, but she was pretty good. Owen was her biggest rival when it came to video games though. They were equal in their video game playing ability. The day had been so much fun. Then when the sky darkened Owen looked at her and said, “I’ll tell you enough to wear something you’re comfortable in public in.” Delilah arched an eyebrow and nodded. Delilah guessed they would be going to the place that Owen wanted to take her to. “ Okay.” She said simply walking into her bedroom. She grabbed a pair of black jean shorts and a white layered top. Going behind her dress screen she changed. Then moving on to her bathroom she brushed her still straight hair. Then she brushed her teeth again and decided to put on a little makeup to cover up her blemishes. So she only put of a very light layer of foundation and concealer for her dark under eye circles. She ran a hand through her hair and looked at herself in the mirror. She smiled and then walked out of the bathroom. “C’mon” Owen said as soon as she walked out of the bathroom. He led her out of the door and once they reached the building Owen said, “I’m sorry…but…I wanted it to be a surprise.” He offered her some of her songs. Those were her songs. The ones that she had written. What was he doing with them? She looked at Owen confused as she grasped her sheet music. “ Owen…what’s going on?” She asked looking up at him. He didn’t answer though. He just led her into the bar/restaurant. She looked all around and bit her lip. She was so confused. What was she supposed to do? “Deli…I…got you a pot tonight, to sing.” He said smiling. Her eyes widened and she almost tackled him she was so happy. She hugged him so tightly she wondered if he could breathe. “ Thank you, Owen. Thank you so much.” She said her voice muffled by his shirt. She then saw that it was now her turn and she took a deep breath. She knew what song she was going to sing. “ Wish me luck.” She smiled walking to the stage. As she walked unto it she saw the bright lights shining in her dark eyes. She smiled and walked to the mic. “ Hiya, my name is Delilah and I’d like to sing a song I’ve written myself called ‘A Year Without Rain’.” She said smiling. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath and opened her eyes singing, “ Oooooh. Can you feel me when I think about you? With every breath I take. Every minute, no matter what I do. My world is an empty place. Like I've been wondering the desert. For a thousand days. Don't know if it's a mirage. But I always see your face, baby. I'm missing you so much. Can't help it, I'm in love. A day without you is like a year without rain. I need you by my side. Don't know how I'll survive. A day without you is like a year without rain. Ooh, woooaaahh woaahh. The stars are burning. I hear your voice in my mind. Can't you hear me calling? My heart is yearning. Like the ocean that's running dry. Catch me I'm falling. It's like the ground is crumbling underneath my feet. There's gonna be a monsoon. When you get back to me. Oh, baby. I'm missing you so much. Can't help it, I'm in love. A day without you is like a year without rain. I need you by my side. Don't know how I'll survive. A day without you is like a year without rain. Ooh, woooaaahh woaahh. So let this drought come to an end. And make this desert flower again. I'm so glad you found me. Stick around me. Baby, baby, baby, oh. It's a world of wonder with you in my life. So hurry, baby. Don't waste no more time. And I need you here. I can't explain. But day without you. It's like a year without rain. Ooh. I'm missing you so much. Can't help it, I'm in love. A day without you is like a year without rain. I need you by my side. Don't know how I'll survive. A day without you is like a year without rain. Ooh, woooaaahh woaahh.” The whole time her eyes were locked on Owen and when she finished she looked waiting to see what he’d do. She didn’t care if she got booed off the stage; all she wanted was to see what he’d do. all I need is just a little emotion

To say he liked the slightly panicked but mostly confused look on Delilah's face was an understatement. It was adorable on her. That he would...most likely not admit, but she had confessed to him supposedly last night that she loved him. But his major concern was, had it been the alcohol and she wanted to tell that to someone else? A strained look fell on his features for a few moments as she then noticed and it all sunk in. Owen smiled eagerly. Hearing her tell him to wish her luck, he gave her a gentle look and mused, "All the luck in the world....I doubt you need it though." he smiled lightly, and hovering off to the side of the place where there were tables, mainly because he didn't see one yet. Blue eyes glanced warily towards the man in the dress pants and button-down shirt with glasses who had a notebook in front of him, looking moderately professional. Owen hoped he could perhaps introduce Delilah to him if he didn't go to her. Stuffing both hands into his pockets on his pants, he jumped slightly, as Delilah headed up on stage, when Damien approached him behind the bar and inquired, "Want anything Owen?" The wolf shook his head, drumming on the counter nervously, "No...I'm good. I'm just here for her." Damien snorted, which got him a curious and a partial death look from the black-haired wolf. Damien commented, waving a towel at Owen and then gestured to Delilah, "It's always so fun to see you younger couples. You're in love Owen I see the way you look at her. Ignore your logic, like I know you love to listen to." Damn him, Owen thought. Damien had been the one person Owen had gotten drunk around a few months ago and probably rambled on about everything. Narrowing his eyes, Owen spoke, "Shush, I gotta listen."
Damien chuckled and playfully tossed the towel at Owen as he headed to a table to sit down, crossing his legs as Delilah began to sing. She sounded just as beautiful as he imagined. Running a hand lightly through his hair, Owen gave Delilah an encouraging smile before he then leaned back in the chair he was in and listening to her quietly. Hearing her, it just confirmed it. He knew she had to be an outstanding singer. It just had to be true. Swiftly glancing away from her and towards the record guy, who was jotting notes down, Owen looked back to Delilah just to notice her eyes still on him. He swallowed nervously. Had she been looking at him the whole time? A few people shouted, not in the bad way, but in the way like, woo! Things like that. At least there was a bit of music in her background, but otherwise it had just been Delilah. Nervously watching her, Owen then grinned brightly when she finished as people clapped for her, granted they probably did that for everyone, or at least people they liked, Owen joined them, and stood up as Delilah approached, giving her a happy hug, feeling like the luckiest guy in the room being able to hug her right then and there. "Wow...Deli.." he mused, "I didn't know you could sing like that..."
Even though Damien knew what Owen was feeling, the wolf...shivered slightly. How could he tell her? It wasn't like he was the smoothest man alive, god only knew he could and would make a fool of himself if he attempted to be suave about it and try and tell Delilah how he was feeling. No, knowing him he'd most likely do something stupid. The man then approached them, his dark eyes locking onto Delilah, "I'm Neil Avoy, with DZX Records, and who might you be?" He asked, his eyes locked onto Delilah, Owen standing there quietly, a small, knowing smile falling onto his lips. The man offered his hand to both of them before he then offered Delilah a business card, "Give me a call sometime. I'd like to speak with you a about possibly working with us." Owen nodded politely as the man vanished back into the background and he smiled innocently towards Delilah. He had no words...no...he wasn't sure how to go about it. Delilah had sung just as wonderfully as he had imagined. His fingers twitched nervously before he then looked around swiftly, then back to Delilah. God he wanted to show her.

She felt her nerves melt away and she said, “Thank you for listening.” She waved once and walked off the stage. Delilah instantly walked toward Owen and gave him a happy hug. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. God he smelled so good. She hoped he liked it, she really did. She had written the song for him. She didn’t know how she would react if he didn’t like the song. She’d definitely never sing the song again, that was for. Wow…Deli…I didn’t know you could sing like that…” He mused. She smiled big and looked at him. She was so happy that she didn’t even know what to say. “R-really? You liked it?” She asked excited. “You liked the song?” She asked hoping with all her heart that it was a yes. She felt her heart flutter and butterflies sprout in her stomach at the thought that Owen could possibly love her song. She just hoped that Owen thought that she had potential. She wouldn’t have care if they booed her off the stage as long as Owen thought she was good. If he still thought that Delilah could make it in singing business then life was still good. Then the man that had been in the audience while she sang came up to her and said, “I’m Neil Avoy, with DZX Records, and who might you be?” he said looking straight at Delilah. Her eyes widened and she pointed at herself. “M-me?” She stammered. She cleared her throat and said confidently, “My name is Delilah Jeggard. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Avoy.” Delilah shook his hand and then took his business card holding it like it was precious gold. She looked down at it with wide eyes. She was getting a business. A business card! Delilah’s heart skipped a beat when Mr. Avoy said, “ Give me a call sometime. I’d like to speak with you about possibly working with us.” Delilah nodded unable to conjure words. She cleared her throat and said, “O-okay.” Delilah couldn’t believe what she had just seen. She had just gotten an offer sign with a recording company. A real recording company! This was a life changing experience. She couldn’t believe this was happening to her and it was all because of Owen. She couldn’t believe he was doing this for her. Why was he so nice and perfect and uh! SO AH-MAZING! Meh! So wonderful. When Delilah turned around to him seeing his smile she just wanted to kiss his face off. She had to restrain herself though. That would ruin their friendship. She had to stay his best friend. “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! Owen! AH! This! Is! So! Amazing!” She said freaking out. She jumped out and down excited and hugged him so hard the wind was probably knocked out of him. “ Thank you so much.” She said smiling so much it hurt. After a few minutes of hugging tightly she said happily, “ Come on Owen, Apollo probably is missing us.” She said grabbing his hand leading him out of the bar smiling. The two walked out smiling brightly and they both walked home. Delilah couldn’t stop smiling. This was the best thing that anyone had ever done for her. Once they got into their apartment she smiled and him and hugged him once more. “You’re the best best friend ever.” She whispered into his ear. She let go of him reluctantly and waved goodnight to him. She skipped into her bedroom where she would be smiling the whole night.
