“I supposed, but I don’t think…I’d like to be away from here for …very long.” Owen said. Delilah nodded in agreement. If Delilah ever had to travel she’d probably miss Owen way too much. She’d have to invite him if she would want a good time. If she didn’t the whole trip she’d be wondering about him and where he was. Most people would be bothered if they always thought about someone like that, but Delilah didn’t. She liked having Owen around and it was fun to have him around. He always kept her entertained no matter what they were doing. Their conversations just never seemed to end. “ I understand that. I have someone here that I’d miss a lot if I ever went out of this town without them.” She said trying to be vague about who that special someone was. If Owen asked who it was well she wasn’t sure what she’d say. If she said it was him then she’d have to make sure to assure him that it was because of the fact that they were best friend. She really didn’t want him to know that it was because she loved him yet. He’d freak out and well it would just go terrible. Owen could never think of her as anything, but just a best friend who had a few problems here and there. She wasn’t his girl or at least she didn’t think she was. She couldn’t remember him ever having a girlfriend and well she didn’t know if she was his type. She was kind of direct and she wasn’t exactly the most innocent. She had had her fair share of relationships and one night stands. She wasn’t exactly proud of it and she didn’t really share that kind of stuff with Owen. She had never asked him, but she was almost positive that he was still a virgin. She just wasn’t sure if he would like that about her. Sure they had a lot in common, but didn’t all best friends? Oh why did she have to be so confused about everything? And he didn’t help her out with those big, bright, blue eyes and midnight hair. He was just too fricking perfect. If she ever got the guts to ask him out she wouldn’t even know what to say. She’d see those eyes and her heart would start to beat so loudly that surely Owen would hear it. It would be a train wreck in the making.
Probably Asia…or Europe, preferably the UK; where my mom’s from.” Owen answered. Her smile spread from ear to ear. She was right. She knew he’d go to either Asia or Europe. Asia was ahead of almost all of the continents in the world and their technology was great. Someone like Owen would just eat that place up. Europe was full of art and science and great stuff that Owen would also love. It was easy as pie to figure that out. “I knew you’d pick that! I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I’m an awesome best friend. It’s settled. I’m the bestest best friend in the history of the world. Admit it!” She said feeling very happy with herself for being such a good best friend. Then Owen inquired, “What about you? Where would…you go?” Delilah bit her lip and drummed her slender fingers on her bare thigh. She hummed a little bit as she thought. It was a tie between South Korea and France. They both were great to say the least. Then Delilah finally decided and said, “I’d love to go to South Korea because it’s just so amazing there. I love Korean fashion and their music is pretty good as well. Also if I had a second choice I’d choose France. Then I’d go to Paris, the city of love.” Delilah quickly glanced at Owen after mentioning Paris and how it was the city of love. Would Owen ever want to go there with her? Doubt it. Why was she even thinking about it? The chances of it ever happening were slim to none. Delilah needed to get her head out of the clouds and come back to reality. Delilah poked Owen and then he growled at her playfully. He gave her a gentle push and she smiled. She moved over only about an inch because it wasn’t a very hard push. Then he poked her back and she growled at him playfully. “ Rawr to you too.” She said playfully. This was just another one of the their little games that they played with each other. Then after talking about cupcakes Owen said, “Perhaps I’ll hide them…so you can go out there and eat in the middle of the night.” Delilah smiled at him and nudged him with her arm. “ Yeah, that’s smart, wolfie. Get me all hyped up in the middle of the night and I’ll never sleep then you’ll have to deal with me in the morning when I’m all cranky. Sounds like a plan.” She teased biting her lip still smiling at him with her happy dark eyes. Delilah wasn’t the best morning person so having no sleep the whole night would be a nightmare to any one that knew her. Most likely she would have some cupcakes then get all hyped up, but once it ended she’d crash and then fall asleep. She had done that a couple times before. She remembered once she had gone to the midnight premiere of her favorite movie and then barely got any sleep. She had still been in school so she had to go through a whole day of school then afterwards on the bus she totally crashed. If Hayden hadn’t carried home she would have stayed on the bus the whole day until the next morning. Thank God for Hayden.
“Well…it would probably just require a bit of care afterwards.” Owen said as he ruffled his hair. She smiled and played with her suspenders that she was wearing. She loved wearing suspenders. They were quirky and weird like her. Also they made her feel like a hipster with her fancy suspenders. “Well if you’re paying then okay because well I don’t have job yet so yeah.” Delilah laughed. She was very chill about talking about her lack of a job. She just hadn’t found what was right for her, but she had worked before she had a lot of money saved for stuff like food, rent, and a little leisure. That was about it. Luckily Owen paid for some stuff that she needed because he was that good of a friend, but it made just another thing she owed him as if she needed something else. Then Owen spoke, “I’d probably just…cut mine if I needed to.” Delilah’s eyes widen and she shook her head. “Nooooo. I like your hair. Don’ cut it, wolfie. Please. It’s cute.” She said without thinking. The moment she said it she wished she could take it back and cover her mouth with both hands. She had just said his hair was cute. God that was such a dead giveaway that she liked him. But maybe if she just winked and played it cool like it was just another joke she’d be safe. So she laughed and then winked playfully at him. Hopefully she was good now and he wouldn’t figure it out…hopefully.
“Well…why don’t you?” He asked. “I haven’t really heard you sing…” Owen nudged her playfully. In return she nudged him back and said, “ You never asked. If you want to hear me you could just ask. I love singing, but you just got to ask. Very simple, wolfie.” She smiled at Owen and she started skipping, but she made sure to stay at Owen’s pace so they could still talk. Then Owen said, “I don’t think it’s a silly dream. It’s your dream, not anyone else’s” Delilah smiled and felt like hugging Owen. He was so sweet and always knew what to say to her. She loved that he supported her like a good friend, which he was. “How do you know all the right things to say to me?” She asked smiling at him. Then suddenly Owen poked her and yelled, “Tag!” She laughed and watched as he ran. She ran after him and found herself jumping over trunks and sticks. Soon she lost him and she bit her lip. She walked around slowly and said in a sing song voice, “Come out come out where ever you are, wolfie.”

So Delilah had someone else she would miss if she went out of town. He wanted to know. Owen's heart thudded, and he pondered why, it was probably a family member or something. Who knew. Now only if he weren't so darn oblivious. He did remain silent though, attempting to just...figure things out. Though when she did speak, Owen nodded, understanding and commented, "Well...might just need to take them with you." he grinned slightly. The wolf did laugh as she claimed she had known he'd pick that. Anyone in their right mind would go to those places, no? Well, he'd go for multiple reasons, one of the say, top five or so would be the technology, and he'd most likely end up poking around the technology they had, try and improve it or just have fun with it. Aidan had told him though the Chinese weren't as welcoming as the US government was when it came to their technology being toyed with. Grinning fondly at that memory of Aidan having to prove he hadn't been the hacker in their system - though he had been - to the Chinese government. Yeah, Owen would probably aim to not get caught unlike Aidan, but Aidan was the type for that rush once in awhile. Owen wasn't. He'd much prefer to just...live rather than worry about someone finding out he put a chess game into their defense system if they should decide to do absolutely anything, including attempt to turn their computers on and off. "Course, you would!" Owen explained, chuckling softly, "You of all people should know where I would go." he teased. He opened his mouth to speak, though it snapped shut the moment Delilah spoke of Paris, the "city of love" and he swiftly glanced towards her. That was a mistake. Their eyes met and Owen felt a rush flow through him. Oops. He immediately shifted his gaze away from Delilah, attempting to avoid any parts of their conversation, or just them becoming awkward.
Oh, the city of love. Owen had been tempted to go there, see if he'd be able to find "the one" or someone there. Aidan had suggested it and bought both of them plane tickets. Aidan was going for some type of convention, allowing Owen to do as he pleased. Thank goodness Owen's parents had bothered to teach him not only English but French as well, since his father was Canadian. A winning look fell on his face at her being cranky in the morning, "Oh...how could you ever be mad at me?" Owen pulled the puppy-dog face, and glanced up to the shadows of his hair. So she didn't want him to cut it? Wait...did she just say...? Did she think it was cute? Falling silent, Owen then tensed when she winked his way and gave her a light, playful look. She hadn't meant that. No, of course. Why would she? She most likely had a guy anyway, it was something they'd agreed on, Owen had asked her - since he most likely wouldn't bring any girls home, that Delilah let him know if she happened to bring a guy to their place, or if she was going to be coming home later and spooking Owen. Most of the time when she'd gone out anyway, Owen had been slaving over the stupid project. Now though, since all it required was fine-tuning, he was eager to be able to get on with his life outside of college and his graduation project.
"What if I do cut it?" he teased, pinching some of it between his fingers, and eyeing how much he'd cut off. Probably a good inch or so. He looked to Delilah's hair, her hair that smelled absolutely wonderful every day. It was just her scent too. A mixture of vanilla, honeysuckle, and just....sweet. Not overly so though, which was nice, but it was definitely there, and Owen enjoyed it. It wasn't a woodsy smell like some werewolves got, he didn't - fortunately, but mostly only the werewolves that stayed out in the forest a lot. Unlike him and Delilah did. He was glad though he had managed to cheer her up. Deli was always so full of life, always moving, always doing something. Always...up to something in a way. Owen was envious of that, or he had been for awhile. Owen enjoyed it that Deli was always so full of life, ready to move around, to do whatever, as he happened to be spontaneous 70 percent of the time, now it would probably jump up a good ten percent once he graduated in a few days. Hell, he already had his clothes he'd wear underneath the red gown picked out. He allowed his thoughts to travel to graduation for a moment as he pressed his back against the tree, allowing it to block him from Delilah's sight.
He heard her. It was hard not to, then again they happened to be one of the few people actually out here and moving around as freely as they were, with no guns either. Owen cocked an eyebrow slightly before he then grinned deviously as he heard her approach. Muscles tensed, ready to pounce on her when she got close enough. The moment he could, Owen pounced, tackling Delilah to the soft grass-covered ground. The wolf grinned in a teasing manner, "Aha!" He scrambled up and took off away from her, pausing as he had fully entered the field of ankle-high grass, looking to the brunette quietly, "I thought you'd be faster..." he pouted, blue eyes looking happily to her darker ones. She could usually catch him, if he allowed her to in either form with his longer legs, but she did have endurance, a bit better endurance than he did. Owen did keep an eye on the time, he wanted to get back to the apartment and let them get ready in enough time so he could call a buddy and cash in a favor for him, to get Delilah a little gift. Owen waved to her, backing away, and grunted when he tripped over a rock. Whoa. Landing on his butt, he groaned and ground his teeth slightly in the slight stinging pain as it soon began to vanish, and sighed, looking up only to spot Delilah there. Sighing in defeat, he groaned, "Ok, ok..."

“Well…might just need to take them with you.” Owen said not even knowing that he was the person she was talking about. Why did this boy have to be so oblivious? He was so smart, yet so stupid when it came to subtle hints. Soon she’d just have to make a big banner that said, ‘Owen Jesse Collins, I love you!’ and hang it up in their apartment. Would this girl really do that? There was a high chance that soon she would. Delilah had tried dating other guys and even girls. Yes, Delilah was bi-sexual. She was proud of it to. She was willing to say it to the world. She didn’t care who knew. It was her life and she had the right to love who ever. Also being bi-sexual just gave her more options in life. She was very open in telling people about. Owen was aware of her sexuality and he had accepted it as well. She was grateful for that. She knew that sometimes that there were homo-phoebes and didn’t approve of her lifestyle. Did she care? No, she didn’t give a crap about them. If they couldn’t get over that she liked both guys and girls then it was their loss. She was happy with herself and how she lived her life. That was really all that mattered in life right? You had to be happy with yourself if you wanted to be happy and have other accept you. Wasn’t that really the key to happiness? Delilah didn’t know and this all was too deep for her. She didn’t feel like evaluating the key to happiness and what not so she came spiraling back into reality. Right then she heard Owen say, “Course, you would! You of all people should know where I would go.” Delilah smiled and nodded in agreement. “Of course I would. I’m your best friend. I know everything about you.” She informed him smiling. Then Delilah shared that she’d either go to Paris or South Korea. After saying that Paris was the city of love she glanced at Owen and found him look at her two. He’s looking at me. He’s looking at me! HE’S LOOKING AT ME! HOLY CRAP HE’S LOOKING AT ME! DOES HE LIKE ME? DOES HE LOVE ME? AHHH! She thought during there one second eye contact because once it happened Owen turned away. False alarm, Delilah. She thought sadly. Soon she turned away too and played with her fingers wanting to forget that it even happened. Why was she always bringing her hopes up to have them crashing down? She had no idea. It sucked though. It sucked big time.
“Oh…how could you ever be mad at me? He asked with that adorable puppy dog face. Why did he have to be so fricking cute? It was making it really hard to act like she wasn’t completely and utterly in love with him and everything about him. She couldn’t stop looking at him with that face. Grr. He was adorable or adorkable as she secretly called him. She laughed and ruffled his head of luscious midnight hair. “ You’re right I can’t stay mad at you, wolfie. You win this time.” She teased smiling brightly. Her dark eyes sparkled with happiness and ultimate joy. Then Delilah let it slip that she thought his hair was cute. Oh God how could she do such a stupid thing! Now it was completely and utterly obvious of her family, but Delilah was a quick thinker. She faked a laugh and winked playfully at him. She knew she was safe when she saw Owen relax. She would definitely need to be careful. That was close, way too close. She would have been so screwed if she hadn’t pulled out the fake laugh and wink. She thanked God for that idea.
“What if I do cut it?” He teased pinching a loch of his hair. Was he planning on how short he was going to cut it? NO! She loved his hair. Sure, she’d still love him if he cut it, but she just adored his hair. It was just so cute on him with those eyes and that awkward little smile. Oh God she secretly melted every time he did that smile. IT WAS SO CUTE! She just couldn’t help it. Yes, she was in love. She loved him so much it hurt! It was bad and she needed him, but she had to wait. She had to if she ever wanted to even have a chance with someone like him. He was so intimidating some times. He was so smart and kind. Delilah on the other hand had no job and wasn’t going to go to college. Yeah, a great pair for a genius like him. She was doomed. Very doomed. Delilah then made herself come back to reality so she could look for Owen who had poked her and said tag. Now she was looking through the woods looking for her lover best friend. She inhaled and picked up his scent. He always smelled the same, but Delilah didn’t know how to explain it. All she knew was that she liked it! It was quite a lovely smell in her opinion and it made her very easy to find. Following his scent to walked toward and once she neared it Owen came out and tackled her. At first she was shocked, but then it faded to her smiling. It was nice to not be the only one that tackled people. It was a good to know that he did it too. “Aha!” He said as he quickly got up and ran to the higher grass. She laughed and got up as well. She ran after him as fast as her legs could carry her. Sadly her legs weren’t as long as him so she couldn’t catch him. “I thought you’d be faster…” He pouted and she opened her mouth wide. That imp. “ You are such a butt munch!” She said running through the high grass toward him. Then as he waved to her and walked backward he tripped over something and fell on his butt. She laughed loudly and listened as he said, “Ok, ok..” “That’s what you get, butt munch.” She said sticking her hand out for him to take. She looked to the sky and saw that it was getting later. “We should probably leave soon, wolfie.” She mused looking at him.

The wolf couldn't help himself around Delilah. For some reason it was just always so...easy around her. Like he would never need to worry about being judged or anything. Like he wouldn't need to worry about getting hurt - well - as much as someone could anyway, since he had a habit of being a bit worry-wart, something Cade told him to at least not voice his worries of when he was with someone else, hanging out or whatever. Sighing softly, Owen grinned sheepishly towards Deli, "Aha, I knew it." he accused her, pointing a finger in her direction before chuckling softly. Good, so at least it seemed to work on her, now if he could get it to work on pretty much everyone he could probably start to get away with a lot more than before. Course what he hadn't been expecting when he was taking a few steps away from her, was for a random root from a nearby tree to knock him on his butt. Wonderful. Most of the time he could catch himself, but obviously not going backwards. The wolf looked up at Delilah as she approached him on the ground, and he wrinkled his nose in her direction. Really?
His eyes though, suddenly landed on her hand as she offered it to him to get up. Hesitating on the ground, Owen then threw up his hand opposite of hers and took her hand, using it mostly to help him get up. Brushing off the slight debris from his pants, Owen then realized his fingers had lingered intertwined with Delilah's for a moment. No, he told himself. She was too good for him, she definitely wouldn't go for anyone even remotely close to him. As he soon put his mind to it, Owen knew he needed to cash in that favor and see when it could happen, he wasn't so sure though if he should tell Delilah, then, he inquired, "About your singing...do you just write your own songs...or sing ones already written?" he inquired lightly, finally releasing her hand as he finished brushing himself off, nodding as they headed back towards the city of Manuka. Owen grabbed her arm as they walked past the bakery, "C'mon." he urged, wanting to get themselves a little treat for later on or when-ever. Besides, they could both go on a binge tonight and just burn it off tomorrow, since Owen had nothing to do tomorrow, as it was Saturday. Maybe he and Vivienne could meet up, if not, he would definitely want to spend time with Delilah.
- - - - - - - - - -
At his apartment, Owen stood staring blankly at his closet. He didn't know what to wear. Honestly. Club clothes? Yeah sure, the only clubs he'd seen were the Jersey Shore ones and he doubted he could get away wearing a bloody tank-top or a wifebeater to a club. No way. His eyes lingered on a shirt and then a jacket he could wear. Yeah, he'd worn those before, and plenty of other guys did too. Well, ones that got numbers anyway. Scoffing slightly, Owen opened his door as he tossed his jacket away, walking out in just his pants as he spotted Delilah getting ready in the guest bathroom, and Apollo keenly watching Owen from the living room, looking down the hall. Sliding on the shirt Owen inquired to Delilah, seeing her do her lovely, awesome-smelling hair, "Let me know when you're ready." he grinned lightly, and disappeared from her vision. Owen shrugged on the jacket and flopped on his couch, inviting Apollo up there with him. The dog whined eagerly and jumped up, nuzzling close to Owen.
The wolf eyed the bag that held their cupcakes in them. The two of them had gotten a full dozen, he liked seeing the woman's face when they ordered six each, two, skinny people ordering that many cupcakes. Stroking Apollo for a few moments, Owen then stood up, leaving his jacket off for now as he then called down to Delilah in the hallway, "By the time you get ready, the club will be closing!" he teased, unable to help it. The wolf did get ready before the other wolf did, but that probably led to the fact he was a guy. Yes, he did do his hair every other day, but today happened to not be one of those days, and now fortunately it was beginning to stay pretty straight without him having to do much to it. Owen was - even though he'd rather die than admit it - excited to see what Delilah would wear. Feeding Apollo for the night, he crouched down to the dog, "You be good while we're gone now, you hear?" Apollo gave Owen a doggy grin as the male strode over to a coil that happened to be on the dining room table. It had taken up most of that space, but he and Deli could eat at the bar in the kitchen. Checking some things, Owen turned as Delilah entered the area, and his heart thudded. She looked...gorgeous, breath-taking, stunning. Well, Owen would argue there was a time Delilah would never look ugly in the slightest. She could pull off any look she desired.
Clearing his throat slightly, Owen scratched the back of his neck nervously, and finally swallowing past the lump in his throat, he spoke, "Y-you look.." stunning? Gorgeous? He figured most girls would appreciate any of those words, but he wanted to tell her all of those words. Wanted to tell her how much he just loved spending time with her, and how gorgeous she looked no matter what. He figured she could be wearing a potato sack and still look as pretty as she did, and still maintain her bouncy attitude. "Stunning." Owen finally forced out, falling silent after he spit it out. Placing his right hand on his left forearm nervously, letting it hang down and his right arm in front of him, he gave her a shy smile, but he did believe the compliment he paid her. Delilah looked really nice. Tilting his head slightly, Owen mused, "R-ready?" How could someone like her every go for someone like him?

was going to bring up suddenly stood like a stone as you stood quietly you're making it hard for me - - - - - - - - - ► all i can do is freeze Owen took her hand and pulled himself up. Delilah took note that his hand was warm and not very rough like some guys hands were. She also noticed that his intertwined his fingers with her as he brushed off whatever had come onto his pants. Delilah bit her lip and saw how perfectly their hands fit into each other. Delilah watched closely as he also noticed that they were still holding hands. For a few moments they both seemed to just look at their hands not sure what to do. She bit her lip harder as she felt her heart sped up. It was so loud she could almost hear and she bet Owen could as well. She then looked at him with hopeful dark eyes and blinked a couple times. Instead of speaking about their intertwined hands he asked, “About your singing…do you just write your own song…or sing ones already written?” Then Owen let go of her hand and she felt all the warmth just fall from her hair. It suddenly felt cold, very cold. To warm it up she rubbed it together with her other hand, which was normal temperature. Soon it warmed up, but she still missed his hand in hers. It was warm…and nice…and stuff. “ Umm…a mixture of both I guess. Whatever I feel, but I usually just write my own songs. Fits me better.” She answered drumming her slender, white fingers on her thigh. She still found herself glancing at Owen though even though she tried to force herself not to. She had to stop being so obvious. Owen didn’t like her and he’d never like her. Why couldn’t she get that through her thick head? Ugh. Difficult…too difficult. It was just hard not to look at Owen. I mean look at him! He was as cute as cute came. Delilah couldn’t resist him and all his little quirks. It killed her to think of him with someone else. It literally killed her. She could feel the pain inside of her near her heart. Maybe it was because the part of your brain that felt pain was connected to your emotions or something like that. Basically if you were heartbroken it could literally feel like you were getting stabbed. Funny how life was like that. Thanks life. So when we feel like crap we get to literally feel pain. Great, just so fricking great. Delilah was doomed for sure. There was no question about it. She was totally screwed. Then Owen intoxicating voice pulled her out of her thoughts as he said, “C’mon” He grabbed her arm gently and lead her to the bakery. She smiled and forgot all her thoughts. She was going to have fun with Owen no matter what. - - - - - - - - - - Delilah ruffled her curly mess that she called her hair. She went through her closet wondering what to wear. On any other night she wouldn’t be putting so much work into her outfit, but tonight was different. She was going with Owen so she wanted to look her very best. She wanted to look beautiful and stunning and great in every way in her eyes. Soon she decided on black skinny jeans, a black and silver off the shoulder top and a pair of intricate red high heels. Closing her door so Owen wouldn’t accidently see her strip she began to do just that, strip that is. First she slid into her black skinny jeans and put on her off the shoulder top. Looking in the mirror she smiled. The jeans hugged her hips and slender legs just how she wanted them to. The shirt was cute and showed of her waist. Then she sat on her bed and slid her foot into her red heel. She then did the same action with the other foot. She stood up and loved how she felt tall. Owen would certainly feel stupid now. Then opening the door she smiled and walked to the guest bathroom that was basically hers. Owen had his own bathroom so he never used the guest bathroom meaning it was hers. Leaving the door open she looked at her reflection. She then turned on her straightener and then moved on to her makeup so the straightener so heat up. Delilah lightly reapplied her foundation and then took out her blush. She lightly brushed it on her cheekbones to give herself a little color. Then taking her mascara she stroked her dark lashes making them longer and darker. Once she was satisfied she put both her foundation, blush, and mascara. She decided not to wear too much makeup. She didn’t want to be one of those girls that wore too much makeup and got talked about all night. Then she decided to paint her nails to give herself a little color of her nails. She took out a very red color and stroked her nails with it. While it dried to walked back to her room and picked out a ring bracelet, which loved. She put it on careful not to ruin her nail polish. Delilah then walked back to the bathroom and saw that her nail polish was dried. She smiled and took her straightener. She began to straighten her curly hair with a little difficulty. Before she had even done one layer of her hair she heard Owen say, “Let me know when you’re ready.” When Delilah turned around she didn’t see him and pouted a bit. She wanted to see his outfit. “ Okay.” She called out. Then after awhile her hair was perfectly pin straight. “By the time you get read, the club will be closing!” He called out. “ I’m done, butt munch!” She called out walking out of the bathroom. She blinked at him and looked at him up and down. He looked hot! I mean his hair was perfect and his clothing was pretty appealing. God, she wished she was dating him. Why did he have to do this to her?! The thing that made her happy though was he was looking at her like that too. HE THOUGHT SHE WAS PRETTY! Well she didn’t know that for sure, but she was almost positive. “Y-you look…stunning.” Owen said scratching the back of his neck. Her heart skipped a couple beats and she smiled unbelievably happy. AVONEALVKNEOVHAOIHALVNEOIHGALNVOEHGALHFLANVOIEHGOAHRNGO!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She thought so happy. “ R-really? Thank you, Owen. You look…” She started looking him up and down. “ Really good.” Delilah was tempted to call him hot, but he’d get freaked out by that so she didn’t say it. “R-ready?” He asked. She nodded and walked toward him. “ Yes, but just one moment.” She said. She began to fix his shirt and jacket. She then adjusted it again and then again and then again and then she was satisfied. Then she started messing with his hair. It was so soft and clean. She couldn’t believe she was actually touching it. Finally she stopped messing with it and said, “ Perfect.” She said smiling big. “ Now we can go.” She said stuffing her hands down her pockets. She took a few steps away from her and realized that she was now almost his height. She smiled at this fact. “ Look, I’m tall now.” She teased. all I need is just a little emotion

Butt munch. Whatever that meant. Owen scoffed silently. Eyes scanned over his his graduation project to Apollo who was sitting, perked and his attention down the hallway, as if waiting for something. Tossing a piece of paper at the dog, Owen mused, "Oi, eat your dinner." The dog whined lightly, and looked to his master quietly before his tail began to wag and he started to finally eat his dinner. Obviously Apollo was intent on seeing what was going on, as most of the time he'd been around, Owen had to stay home, not only keep an eye on him while he was being trained, but also for his project, which was done, all it needed was some fine-tuning and then set-up at the college. Producing his phone, Owen sighed as he got Damien's voicemail and spoke, turning his back towards the hall to help make sure Delilah wouldn't be able to hear him leaving his friend a voicemail, "Damien...it's Owen. I'm cashing in that favor you owe me, I want a friend to get a spot the next time you need a singer. Call me." He quickly ended the call upon Delilah entering, and him finally managing to pay her a compliment she deserved. His eyes did notice her scan him up and down and then give him a compliment. Swallowing past the lump in his throat, Owen smiled lightly, "T-thanks." Hey, manners were still needed, even if he hardly ever got a compliment. If so they certainly weren't on his looks. At least to his face, and especially by the original person saying it too. He'd gotten compliments, most of the time when he wasn't around and by someone else, not the original person who said it. For whatever reason. He blamed his height, but who knew. He wouldn't worry about it tonight though.
Tonight he was doing something either that would end up being totally and completely fun or else he would end up absolutely hating it. Personally he hoped that it wouldn't be the latter. Suddenly, Owen then heard her say one moment, and then approached him. Stiff, the male then frowned curiously as she started to fiddle with his clothes. For much longer than necessary. "Delilah..." he mused, but she continued, "Deli..." he repeated after a moment, shifting his gaze down to notice her heels, having caught that she was much taller than usual. Were those things comfortable? Ugh, he didn't want to even think about having to wear something like that - ever. Keeping that to himself, he then suddenly jumped in mild surprise when she began to mess with his hair, looking up to her hands, he spoke, "Deli? It's okay...Deli..." he repeated calmly, and she finally then stopped, and he chuckled slightly. "Am I ready?" Following her taking a few steps back and comment on her height, Owen rolled his shoulders slightly and arched an eyebrow, "Still shorter." he teased back.
His own boots nudged slightly those of Delilah's shoes, the tips, as if testing them. He didn't aim to knock her off balance, but hey. They were werewolves, having some extra balance came in handy. Owen shook his head slightly, "I still get curious how girls wear those." He would never even think of wearing something remotely close to those things. Never. Owen then grabbed his keys and muttered a see you later to Apollo, and let Delilah exit his door first, being polite and locked his door behind him. They headed to the club, walking since it was only about two blocks away, which was nothing, but Owen did keep an eye on her shoes though. She walked pretty well in them, something he was relieved for. Running a hand anxiously through his hair, he told himself to remember to breathe. Last thing he needed to look like was a blueberry from lack of oxygen. As they approached the club, the werewolves could easily begin to smell the change in atmosphere, all the supernaturals that came here, and all the humans as well. Most of the time it was other supernaturals, but there were definitely humans here tonight, Owen could easily recognize the difference in the smell of the place. Entering the club, Owen's eyes adjusted as he suddenly found himself even closer to Delilah. They always took him by surprise.
Gulping, Owen shook away his nerves. No, you can do this, he told himself. He'd done it before, granted there had also been a girl's party there as well, and said girl had invited him. This time he'd just come to the club with Delilah, and he immediately became aware of other people looking their way. He didn't notice any looking at him - mainly because his eyes were trained on those who happened to be looking towards them at Delilah. A soft growl rippled in his chest, though nothing more as they approached the bar and Owen looked to her quietly, "What...do you usually drink?" he inquired, getting himself a En Las Ronchas, a "manly" drink some called it, he just preferred it by the flavor. Drinks were drinks to him. Blue eyes keenly scanned their area, watching out for anyone heading their way, though Owen's attention soon fell back onto Delilah, as he eagerly waited to first hear her reaction, and secondly, see who she exactly became when at a club.

“T-thanks.” Owen said with a light smile. Delilah matched his smile and twirled a loch of her newly straightened hair. “ No problem, wolfie.” She said her nerves coming back. Why did he have to look like that all the time? So…so perfect? It was definitely distracting. Biting her l very lightly she glanced up at him and licked her bottom lip. She began to fiddle with her fingers trying to send her nerves away. He needed to stop; he really needed to stop this adorable thing. It was getting to irritable to just tackle him and hug him so tightly that he couldn’t breathe. Yeah, it was that bad. It had been that bad for awhile. Lately she couldn’t get him out of her mind. She had even dreamed about him a couple times. They weren’t those sick, twisted dreams though. They were sweet and innocent. One was her and Owen just laughing together and hanging out. It was nice and Delilah loved thinking about it. It just made her smile and giggles and sometimes blushes. This was the innocent side of Delilah. That side was the side that Owen brought out of her and that he made her cling to. She appreciated that. It made her feel youthful and more bubbly than usual. Then as Delilah fixed his clothes Owen said, “Delilah…” She ignored him kept fixing his clothes till they were perfect. Then she moved on to her hair. Running her hands through her she bit her lip trying to make it perfect and how she imagined. “Deli? It’s okay…Deli…” He said calmly. That’s what Delilah liked about him. He was always patient and calm with her while she did her thing. Most people would just yell and her and push her off them. Hayden had done that a couple times. She understood this, but still. She just had to do it. It was one of her pet peeves. Owen never yelled at her though. He just dealt with and let her do her thing. That was why he was amazing. He was like no other person she had met. That was why she loved Owen as much as she did. She liked different people and Owen was definitely original. Yes, he paused in his sentences and stammered, but actually Delilah loved that. It was quite adorable. Some people would find that annoying, but Delilah never had. “Am I ready?” He asked playfully. She giggled and nodded. “I believe so, but hey, you’ll be thanking me when you’re getting all the girls in the club.” She said playfully. The Lord knew though that Delilah would hate to see that. Owen with a bunch of girls? No thanks. She’d rather be hanging out with him rather than see him with a bunch of girl that she didn’t know. It just made her uncomfortable even thinking about it. “Still shorter.” He teased. She shook her head and hit him lightly on the stomach. “ You are the king of butt munches.” She said smiling. Owen moved toward her and nudged the tips of her heels lightly. Because of her balance due to being a wolf she didn’t fall over. “I still get curious how girls wear those.” He said shaking his head. She smiled and shrugged. “I don’t know either. We just do. It’s a girl thing. I don’t think you’d understand, well I hope you don’t understand.” She said with a teasing tone underlining her words. Then Owen grabbed his keys and opened the door for Delilah like a true gentleman. She walked out and smiled at him. The two walked together to the club because the club was only two blocks away and they loved to walk places. They did like to get exercise. There was nothing really wrong with it. As they neared the club Delilah inhaled the air and could smell many different super naturals. Tonight would definitely be fun. She could just tell. Things were always fun with Owen though. He always had a way of making her happy. It was one of his greatest talents in her mind. As they entered the club she noticed that she got much closer to Owen. She smiled up at him and ran a hand through her hair. “I hope you have fun tonight.” She mused with a gentle smile. As they walked further into the club she noticed eyes following her and Owen. She was used to people staring at her because that was what people did at clubs. Simple as that, but she wasn’t too fond with people looking at Owen. She saw some girl whispering and glancing at Owen. Delilah narrowed her eyes and while Owen wasn’t looking she turned to the girls and waggled her finger silently threatening them. ‘Mine’ she mouthed and then turned back to Owen with a smile. “What…do you usually drink?” He asked her as he ordered a drink himself. She bit her lip and answered, “I usually get a few shots and see what happens from there.” It was honest. She usually drank whatever she felt like drinking at the moment after a few shots of course. They always loosened for the party and to have a good time. Delilah then leaned her back on the bar and set her elbows on the wood gently. She turned her head to Owen and smiled wait for him to respond.

Owen arched an eyebrow towards Delilah at her words, "getting the girls" right. The wolf gave her a toothy grin and he spoke, "Totally." Which may or may not have been given with sarcasm. Owen looked down to whatever she'd been messing with, and didn't really want to even think about looking at his hair. No, not really. He shrugged in his jacket as they approached the club. Oh yes, there were definitely supernaturals here, it was easy to smell them out - course with their noses a lot of things were easy to smell out. Psh, heels, he scoffed silently, "Ankle breakers." he commented, looking down at them as they approached the club, "I don't understand, aren't they painful?" he inquired, a slight grimace falling along his features. Yes, he certainly knew he was glad he'd never have to wear something like that. Ever. Unless of course he was one of those...weird people that dressed the opposite sex. No, not weird, he told himself just - different? Or personal preference. Whatever it was he didn't care, as long as they respected him, he'd respect them. Simple as that. Blue eyes did widen as they entered the club and he felt his pulse pick up slightly. Yeah, this had to have been a major mistake to come here with Delilah. His eyes warily fell on the dance floor and he shook his head. No way, he'd have to be black-out drunk before he even thought about that.
Sitting beside her, allowing his legs to swing down beneath him, his feet hit the ground anyway. Damn height. The werewolf listened in to Deli as she spoke about getting a few shots and going on from there. Whatever she wanted. He shrugged and let her order her shots, he declined any if offered. No way. He liked drinking, well, as a social drinker, but he wasn't sure how he'd handle his shots. Looking to Delilah with a slight worried look on his face, he mused, "Are you one of those that dance all the time or hover near the bar sometimes?" he inquired lightly. Shrugging slightly, he turned in the stool and then his eyes landed on Lauren, she was from an advanced math class, her major being math at college. The blonde out on the dance floor grinned when she spotted him, and he shyly responded with a nod, his eyes soon fixating back on Delilah, "Have you come to this one before?" He knew Lauren was only human, but she had also been the one to invite him to her party. For whatever reason. That was when he glanced over behind Delilah and noticed a pair of guys, one obviously a wing-man looking her way.
Owen's face darkened and a soft growl rippled from his lips. No way. If they came over here, he didn't care what species they were, he wouldn't be a happy camper. Wiggling his fingers slightly against the glass he was holding, Owen sighed softly and looked to Delilah quietly, curiously. He had a feeling she could probably hold her liquor moderately well for someone of her stature. Nevertheless, he was going to make sure to keep an eye on her tonight. No way was he going to let her go somewhere or bring someone home. Hell no. Wait...why did he care? Delilah didn't like him - as far as he knew - besides why would she ever think about going for someone like him? Hell, she could have any guy she wanted here. Wrinkling his nose slightly, Owen sighed softly before soon finishing off his En Las Ronchas. Blue eyes landed on the different people in the club, people-watching as he sometimes did. His eyes landed back on Deli by him, and he told himself. Yes, he was definitely going to be keeping an eye on her tonight, but still see about having fun himself.

“Totally.” Owen said. Delilah shook her head lightly and just smiled at him. He didn’t know it, but if he really wanted to he could probably get any girl in that club. Owen was definitely charming and attractive. She always saw girls looking at him and it bothered her profusely. She couldn’t show it though. She had to act like everything was peachy keen and that she didn’t care. It was terrible to say the least. She had gotten used to acting like everything was okay though. It all came from that Delilah couldn’t show her feelings. She was horrible at it. She wasn’t good at explaining her feelings to other people and showing them. She was really only good at was showing happiness. That was it. It was bad. “Ankle breakers.” He said still talking about her heels. She laughed and looked at him. “I haven’t broken my ankles yet.” She pointed out glancing at her heels. They were actually pretty comfortable for heels. Usually whenever Delilah wore heels in about an hour her feet started to hurt like crazy, but these heels didn’t seem too bad. “I don’t understand, aren’t they painful?” He asked. She shrugged and looked at her heels again. “ Sometimes high heels hurt, but these are actually pretty comfortable.” She answered as they entered the club. The music was loud, but she could still here Owen. As he walked to the bar she followed him and watched as he ordered an En Las Ronchas. Delilah had never had it before, but he seemed to like it. Then Owen ordered her some shots as she requested. “Are you one of those that dance all the time or hover near the bar sometimes?” He inquired. Delilah bit her lip thinking and came up with an answered. “ I usually dance, but sometimes I hang around the bar if I want to drink and talk to someone.” She answered smiling at him happily. As her shots came she smiled and took the first one. She drank it in one gulp and then licked her bottom lip smiling. “Have you come to this one before?” He asked. Delilah looked at him and nodded. “Yeah, I come her a lot actually. Then I won’t have to worry about any hunter trying to kill me while I’m drinking or dancing.” She answered smiling at him. She picked up another shot glass and traced her finger around the rim of the glass. “ Do you want one?” She asked wanting to be polite. Taking another shot and swallowed. Wow, it was strong. She giggled and smiled at him. With only one left she drank it and then smiled again. Running a hand through her hair she looked toward the dancing figures and felt tempted to go dance with them, but didn’t want to leave Owen. She had to watch over him so no supernatural like a vampire would come over and try to drink his blood. She understood that they had to drink it, but she didn’t want them feasting on Owen. He was too good for them. Way too good for them. He was sweet and innocent and she couldn’t let anything like that happen to him. She’d rather die than see that. Literally die. She wasn’t kidding when she said this either. Delilah never kidded when it came Owen. She was honestly when she said something, she never bluffed. That was just how she was. That was just Delilah. Then Delilah heard someone approach her from the back. She turned around and saw that it was pretty attractive guy, but he was no Owen. He leaned up against the bar and nodded toward her. She did a dainty little wave and then turned back to Owen. “Hey, you have a name?” the mystery guy asked with a slight smirk on his lips. Delilah looked over her shoulder and lied with a slight smirk, “I’m sorry to say I don’t. My parents were very forgetful.” She turned back to Owen and smiled big. “Come on let’s dance.” She said taking Owen’s hand. As she led him to the dance floor she felt the warmth of his hand again and how perfectly her hand fit into his. She smiled at him endearingly. As they got into the crowd she made sure not to let go of his hand and asked loudly so he would be able to hear her over the music, “ Do you know how to dance? I mean like are you good?” They had never really talked about dancing. It just didn’t seem like a subject that needed to be talked about. It was really just dancing. As she waited for an answer Delilah moved to the beat sway her hips with her. She smiled at him and continued dancing waiting for him to say something, anything at all.

He still didn't get the whole thing about her high heels. They did certainly make her look taller, but Owen still knew the truth. He still knew she was shorter than she was now, but hey, she could wear whatever she wanted, it wasn't like he was going to tell her what she could and couldn't wear. First off, that was just plain wrong and secondly he doubted he had any right - in a sense - to suggest for her to wear something else, something that might be a little more comfortable since she had claimed high heels hurt. Then why did girls wear them? Ugh, he thought quietly. Girls would always confuse him no matter what he did. At least Delilah didn't seem to be one of those types that liked to beat around the bush, she just went for it. One thing he had always appreciated since they first met over 6 months ago. Noticing her get a few shots, Owen shook his head shortly, "No thanks..." he was keenly watching Delilah though, making sure to keep an eye on her that she wouldn't do anything she might regret later. Or any other males for that instance too. Though that hope was squashed the moment one of the guys Owen had spotted looking to Delilah earlier approached. His teeth elongated slightly, feeling his canines grow longer as blue eyes flashed towards the guy. Tension immediately coiled in the air as Owen listened to the exchange between the two of them. Arching an eyebrow as if to say, 'I win' to the other male, Owen tensed when Delilah suddenly grabbed his hand. "Uh...Delilah..." he voice. He didn't dance. Well, he could, but he was...okay at the club dancing. Fortunately it only required a few things unless you really got into it, but Owen didn't, but he did want to be by Delilah, stay near her as much as possible if he could.
Hearing her question him over the music, Owen scowled slightly, taking note of her behavior as he waited for the alcohol to settle in her system. If she couldn't handle three shots. Nevertheless, Owen nodded, and put a hand over his heart as if she had just jabbed him there with a knife, "That hurts, Deli. Just because I," he shifted, suddenly colliding with Delilah as he did so due to the closer space they had now, he paused but continued, clearing his throat, "don't usually come the clubs, doesn't mean I don't know how to dance." he gave her a light grin, following her. Course he didn't happen to be the tallest male out on the dance floor, more like the second or third tallest, or about the same height. Thank goodness, Owen would prefer to draw a little attention to himself as possible. Course after a few songs of dancing with Delilah - god she was an awesome dancer, Owen paused when he heard the DJ then announce something, whatever it was didn't seem that important as he and Delilah stumbled off the stage, Owen laughing lightly, their hands still intertwined. "You're...an awesome dancer, Deli."
They fell back to places at the bar, and Owen looked to the beautiful brunette with him, eyes shooting up the moment the guy from before approached her once more. Whatever or who-ever he was, Owen didn't like him. Adrenaline - and definitely testosterone flew through his systems as the male got closer, Owen stood up and moved over to Delilah's side that the guy was approaching. Persistent little bugger, he thought quietly to himself. Growling softly in his chest, Owen heard him greet Delilah and then he spoke, straightening his frame and locked his gaze with his, "Hey, Cujo." Owen growled, his voice strained, "Leave her alone." He spoke, his voice calm, though deep and threatening. No way was anyone going to be hitting on her while he was here. Wait dammit, he told himself. Why did he care? It wasn't like Delilah would like him anymore than a friend anyway. His hand coiled into a fist before he then quickly shoved it into the back pocket of his jeans, and the guy spoke, "Tell your puppy to sit down or I will." Owen growled and spoke, placing himself between Delilah and the guy, "Back off." he growled, upon realizing the guy was just a human. An idiot human for that matter. Eyes flashed yellow as the werewolf stayed still, not backing down. No way.
The guy soon left with a scoff and a few less than pleasant words. Owen sagged and sat down by Delilah. What the hell was with him? He never confronted anyone, especially other guys for that matter. He just didn't confront people, very, non-confrontational he'd been called. Owen ran a hand through his dark hair, feeling his adrenaline and testosterone lower as he then ordered himself a smaller drink, letting Delilah do as she pleased. He did remain silent though, and looked to her quietly, wondering what was going through that pretty head of hers. Sipping his drink, Owen sighed softly as he swung one leg, his foot tilted up slightly so he could swing his leg back and forth slightly, before stopping and remaining still. What did Delilah think? Probably nothing, just him being protective. Their eyes met and Owen felt a shiver run down his spine faster than the chill he got when he shifted run down his spine. Looking to the brunette quietly, Owen spoke, "Ummm...do you want a drink?" he inquired, smiling shyly.

was going to bring up suddenly stood like a stone as you stood quietly you're making it hard for me - - - - - - - - - ► all i can do is freeze “Uh…Delilah…” He said as Delilah pulled to the dance floor by his hand that was currently intertwined with herself. She smiled at him and continued to pull him to the dance floor. He needed to socialize with others. Lately it really had only been her and sometimes Viv, but other than that he didn’t really socialize. It worried her. He had been working way too hard and too much on his project. He had to live a little. The poor wolf looked so tense on the dance floor that Delilah had to ask him if he was good at dancing. When she said this he put a hand to his heart like he had been shot in it or something. She shook her head as he said, “That hurts, Deli. Just because I don’t usually come to the clubs, doesn’t mean I don’t know how to dance.” She smiled at him and noticed that he bumped her lightly by accident. She didn’t care. She was used to be knocked into when she was at the club. It was natural. Sometimes people were drunk and they were tipsy. It was quite understandable. Actually she had seen a lot of people get drunk at the clubs. It was a natural thing to do. She knew that she got drunk most of the time she went to the clubs. She just did it because she could and Delilah loved to party. She was a bit of a party animal to say. Delilah just loved to have fun. She wasn’t exactly known for being the most responsible, but she wasn’t completely unreliable. Well at least she liked to think she wasn’t. She never knew what people thought about her behind her back and she didn’t care to know. “ Well then dance and loosen up, wolfie.” She teased nudging him in the side. Finally he danced with her and he wasn’t half bad. Definitely better than she had expected him to be. Then after a few songs of dancing with Owen they both stumbled off the stage smiling and laughing. Surprisingly their hands were still together and they hadn’t felt awkward about it at all. It was like it was natural and they didn’t even notice. Still they held hands that seemed to be made for each other as they walked back to the bar. They reclaimed their spots and smiled at each other. Out of the corner of her eye though she saw the same guy that had tried to ask for her name in a rather poor way walking toward her once again. “ Hey Delilah, that’s your name right? I heard your…friend…say it earlier.” He said with that same signature smirk planted on his smile. Delilah nodded and said, “ Yes, that’s my name.” It was only when Owen said, “Hey, Cujo. Leave her alone.”that she noticed that he had moved to her side as if he was protecting her. Delilah’s eyes widened a bit at the sound of Owen’s voice. It was threatening and she had never heard Owen like that. Why was he so angry? They were just friends right? Sure, Delilah always wanted them to be more, but did he? No, that was ridiculous. They were like siblings and nothing else. He was only protecting her as she would him. Then again Delilah would protect him because she loved him. Gr. This was confusing. “ Tell your puppy to sit down or I will.” The guy said to Delilah. She narrowed her dark eyes and threatened, “ I happen to be a “puppy” too so no. Don’t talk to him like that or I’ll make you.” Delilah watched Owen move between her and the guy with a growl. Had Owen just growled? For her? Really? A light smile tugged on the corner of her lips, but she then stopped smiling because she didn’t want Owen to see her smiling. That was just being way too obvious for her liking. “Back off.” Owen growled. Delilah watched shocked as his eyes flashed yellow. That only happened when werewolves got really, really angry. Was Owen really, really angry? Obviously so, his eyes had changed color. But why for her? She was just his best friend right? No one should get that protective or someone unless they love them. Wait. Delilah, stop. You’re going to get your hopes up and then they’re going to come crashing down when you see Owen with another girl tonight. Don’t even think that he likes you because he doesn’t like you. Get over that and move on! She thought to herself. Why did her mind have to be so mean? Probably because Delilah was so thick headed and stubborn. She never listened unless it was shoved into her head like that. In a rude, mean way that is. She with a gentle, silent sigh she ran a hand through her still pin straight hair. She took a seat next to Owen and realized that he had let go of her hand. She looked down at her hand and felt that it was very cold again. Rubbing her hands together she warmed them up, but kept looking at her hand. Then she glanced at Owen and their eyes met. She smiled at him and asked, “ You okay? Oh and thank you. I appreciate it a lot.” “Ummm…do you want a drink?” he inquired. She nodded and said, “ Sure. I have nothing to lose.” - - - - - - - - - - Had Delilah had a little too much to drink? Well you’d have to describe a little too much because well…she was drunk. All the alcohol had started to take affect a little after Owen went to go talk to a friend from college, which was alright. The two didn’t have to be glued at the hip the whole time. Right now Delilah was on the dance having a great time. Sure she stumbled, fell, and laughed too much, but she was having a great time. Getting drunk at a club was no problem for her nor was it difficult. But you want to know what was difficult and she had a problem with? Getting home. When she was drunk and getting home she usually had to some great adventures like falling asleep in some guys yard cuddling his lawn gnome or like when she had actually found her way home, but when she woke up in the morning she had pancakes in one hand and a stop sign in the other. Now that was an interesting morning. Delilah had made sure to return the stop sign though because that was dangerous. That was an accident waiting to happen. Delilah never tried to get herself into these situations, they just happened. It was just the kind of stuff that happened when you were drunk. Then as she danced she looked over and saw Owen. She waved excitedly toward him and then smiled. She stumbled a bit and then went back to dancing wondering what Owen would do next. all I need is just a little emotion

Hearing Delilah ask him if he was okay, Owen growled softly in response, but not towards her, no. Never towards her. Towards the persistent male. As his eyes returned to their natural icy blue, natural state, he spoke calmly, "I'm fine." he spoke, through straight teeth. He wouldn't do that again, it was a one-time deal most of the time. Course as time went on, Owen found a college friend and dismissed himself from Deli's side only for a few minutes. These minutes of course, Delilah had gotten drunk, and was now out on the dance floor, having...problems. Blue eyes narrowed in concern and Owen smiled lightly towards the other student, who too was graduating in the top ten. Owen was graduating first. Surprise. "It was nice to see you. I'll see you at graduation." The guy chuckled and nodded as he returned to his own time, while Owen pushed aside his half-finished second En Las Ronchas. His eyes locked onto Delilah as she waved at him from the dance floor, obviously having problems standing. Noticing a bunch of males around her, Owen's eyes flashed, not out of anger, but...protectiveness for Delilah. Even jealousy. Owen soon strode up to the dance floor, and spoke, swiftly grabbing onto Delilah's arm gently, drawing her close, "Delilah, are you drunk?" he inquired, looking right at her eyes, noticing the delay and the glazed look in her eyes. "Let's get you home, no?" he inquired, lifting his gaze to a guy who looked pissed. "Don't even think about it." Owen growled, offering Delilah his hand, "C'mon Deli, you can get a cupcake if you come with me." he helped coax her, just in case she should be hesitant to want to leave this place. Managing to get her away from the dance floor, Owen was glad she seemed to be okay with coming with him, though he wasn't so sure about her shoes. Wrinkling his nose, he then slapped a bill on the table to cover his drinks and hers, "Here." he grunted.
Upon exiting, Owen's arm still around Delilah, he could easily smell the alcohol on her breath. "Deli....can you walk home?" he inquired, figuring he'd probably get a giggle in response. Blue eyes filled with concern, as he sighed and nudged her shoes with his own, still holding her steady, knowing her balance definitely wasn't the best, "Take them off, Deli." he mused gently, his temper gone, he was with Delilah now and she was with him. How he thought it should be. It felt weird not to be near her anyway. Upon managing to get Delilah's shoes off, Owen then sighed and swiftly bent down, picking up Delilah bridal style, allowing her to slip her arms around his neck if she so desired. Heading back to his apartment, Owen remained quiet, just listening to Delilah talk about...whatever she was talking about. Looking to her curiously, a gentle look on his features as he got them into the elevator and finally up and in his apartment, Owen dumped Delilah onto the side of her bed, and sat down on the bed by her, looking at her gently, "Apollo's gonna sleep with you." He commented gently, nudging her shoes away with his own, before looking away shyly as Apollo entered.

She twirled around to see who it was and saw Owen. He had come! I mean she had waved at him, but he moved so fast! He was like…a super fast person that moved fast. Yeah…that sounded about right. Delilah’s eyes widen and she smiled big. She turned to guys that were dancing with her. She pointed to Owen and said excitedly, “ Guys. Guys. Guys. Guys. Guys. Guyssss!!! This is him. This is Owen! The guy I was telling you about. Remember? It’s Owen! He’s here! Isn’t this just so super fabtastically fabulous! Don’t you all agree? Ah! This is so cool!” She laughed loudly and twirling a bit more. She stumbled a few times and then laughed. “ Woopsie Daisy!” She giggled. “Delilah, are drunk?” Owen asked looking her with those icy blue eyes. Delilah smiled and blinked a couple times. “What you say is drunk I call a healthy dose of living!” She exclaimed moving to the beat of the music which had turned to a techno upbeat song. She banged her head back and forth and all the guys around her did it with her. She laughed and started twirling. Then she almost fell, but one of the guys caught her. She smiled and winked at him. “ Thaaannnkkk yooouuuuu” She said dragging out her letters. He kissed her cheeks and she giggled. “ Stop it. You’re so silly.” She said hitting him on the chest playfully. Delilah stumbled back over to Owen and looked at him happily. “Let’s get you home, no?” He inquired. She looked at Owen confused and batted her dark lashes many, many times. “And do whhhaaatt? Because I don’t want to be bored because this is a rocking party! Imma eat you if it’s boring, wolf wolfie wolertons wolfson wolf.” She threatened smiling while she pointed her finger at him. She poked him in the chest then giggled. “Don’t even think about it.” Owen said to one of her guy friends. “ Oh Owen, have you met Derik, Anthony, Michael, Jack, and Tyler. Aren’t they nice.” She said pointing at her guy friends. Owen held out her hand and she held it smiling. “You’re hand is warm.” She blurted out. Of course when she was drunk she didn’t care if she admitted that. Now if she was sober she would have blushed terribly. Delilah tended to say many secrets when she was drunk. It was terrible. It often got her into a lot of trouble. Very bad. “C’mon Deli, you can get a cupcake if you come with me.” He said with a gentle smile. Her eyes went to the size of saucers and her mouth dropped. “LET’S GO!” She exclaimed running off the dance floor. Then Delilah tripped and fell flat on her face. Scrambling up she laughed and rubbed her face, “ That hurt. Kiss it better!” She demanded. Delilah then laughed loudly as Owen paid the bill. Then Owen led Delilah out of the club gently and as she stumbled Owen said, “Deli…can you walk home?” She laughed and hit his arm lightly. “ Of course I can, silly wolfie.” She laughed. “Take them off, Deli.” He said gently. Her eyes widen and she put a hand on her chest surprised. “What! Wait…oh…my shoes… okay.” She said smiling. She kicked off her red heels and twirled around. Then she fell again. Scrambling up again she smiled and let Owen pick her up bridal style. She wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled her head into his chest. He smell AH-MAZING! “ Guess what, Owen? Derik said I was pretty. He said that I could come over to his house later. He said we’d have a lot of fun. Do you think we would have played a game? Like Twister! That would have been a lot of fun! I think Anthony was really clumsy though because he kept touching my butt. I think he was stumbling. Silly boy. But it was weird. Whenever I talked to him he’d look down. Maybe he has ugly eyes. Do you think he has ugly eyes? I do. I mean why wouldn’t he meet my eyes? I mean their nice and friendly. I don’t think they’re mean. Do you? I like my eyes. Their dark like dark chocolate. I love dark chocolate! Do you? Have we ever eaten dark chocolate together? I don’t remember, but I don’t remember a lot of things. Well not know I guess. Probably because I’ve had a few drinks, but I don’t think it is. Maybe. I don’t know. Did you know when you text the abbreviation for I don’t know is idk. Idk sounds like ick, which sounds yucky! Don’t you agree wolfie? Guess what!? You smell really nice. Like really, really, really nice. I wish I could bottle your scent and just spray it in my room every day. That’d be lovely. Don’t you think? Oh yay we’re at the apartment! Goody goody gum drop!” She rambled about anything that came to her mind. Delilah nuzzled her head again into his chest again. “ Up and up and up and up and up and up and up and up and up and up and up and UP!” She said giggling. Delilah looked around excitedly as they walked to her room. Owen set her down on the bed and she smiled up at him. Then he sat next to her. She hugged him tightly and set her head on his chest. “Apollo’s gonna sleep with you.” She smiled and exclaimed, “DOGGIE! YAY!” She took a deep breath and closed her eyes happily. “ I love you, Owen.” She admitted smiling up at him.

Owen grumbled quietly as Delilah spoke about the boys. The other guys, giving them names. The wolf hissed, and spoke, "I'm sure they were all very nice." But as she continued, he scowled, about Derik, then the others. They were lucky Owen hadn't been there the rest of the time he would have given them a piece of his mind. Imbeciles, they were the type of guys that gave guys like him a harder time to deal with girls. Guys who actually wanted to care about a girl. Wrinkling his nose in disgust, before hearing her comment on his scent of all things. Well of course, he told himself she'd be able to smell it. She had her face pretty much buried into his chest for some of the time he had carried her back here. Sitting happily down on her bed, Owen became painfully aware of just how pretty Delilah was. Too bad she'd never...his attention was distracted as she then hugged him, her arms around his neck once more and she buried her face into him. Pausing, he raised a careful hand and gently brushed some of her hair, attempting to calm her down - which he doubted. The wolf grinned lightly towards her as she commented about Apollo, causing the 8-month old puppy to whine happily and look up at the bed, his tail wagging back and forth as fast as an electron. Owen suddenly tensed as Delilah uttered three words he never expected to come from her lips. I. Love. You. Three simple, yet powerful words. His mind whirled to a stop, as he felt like a fish out of water. She said she loved him, did she? But why would she even consider someone like him?
Owen cleared his throat, reminding himself with his logic, telling himself she was drunk. She had to be exaggerating. Grinning weakly, Owen wished she had meant it, no he didn't. His mind spun, and he felt like he was drunk too from being so close to Delilah. Offering a gentle smile, he spoke, placing a hand on hers as if to reel her in back to the real world, act as her anchor, "It's..okay Delilah." He offered up gently, knowing she was definitely drunk. After a few moments, he then spoke, "Umm...hold on." He left her in her room, fingers twitching as Apollo jumped on at the foot of her bed when Owen left and returned with a glass of ice water. Setting it on her bedside table, he would make sure it was cool in the morning, as he knew that he would definitely wake up before her tomorrow morning. Blue eyes locked onto her darker ones, and he then answered her question from earlier he'd avoided till now, "I...really do like your eyes, Deli." he commented gently, his gaze locking onto hers, before he spoke, nudging her forehead, encouraging her to lie down, "But I think the best thing for you to do is sleep." he spoke gently, knowing she'd fall asleep soon enough as it was. He did remain there for a few, letting Delilah talk, and the shock roll off him in evident waves. Finally, Owen looked to Delilah in surprise once she finally drifted off to sleep. Gulping past his nerves, Owen patted Apollo, who curled up with her neatly. Pausing at her door, Owen took one look back at Delilah for the night, "Good night...Delilah." His voice said it all, had she heard it? He wasn't sure, maybe she did in a sense, but his voice betrayed him as he let her sleep.
- - - - - - - - - -
Well, last night had been...something. Owen woke up before Deli of course and slipped into her room in his boxers to exchange her water, and set down a few aspirin to help her with the obvious headache she'd most likely wake up with. Right now, he didn't want to think about what she'd said. She had been drunk, there was no way she meant it, was there? Owen placed both hands on his temple, ruffling his hair as he rested his head in his palms, his elbows on the counter in his kitchen. So confusing. Owen's head sagged, he was spared from a hangover, but that didn't mean Deli wouldn't have one for awhile, till her metabolism fully woke up anyway. He refused to get dressed, Owen wanted a lazy day. A day to just relax, watch a movie or play video games. He knew Delilah wouldn't mind it most likely, but he wanted to check on her. He wanted to be sure she was okay. He had had a dream about her...and him. It was a nice dream, a good one, not a weird one. Just one he would like to see happen in reality. Fighting internally, Owen finally had made up his mind when her door opened. Looking up, muscles moving as he shifted, he looked to the beautiful woman who had crashed last night, "Hi, Deli." he spoke, his voice strained, betraying what had happened last night. It didn't hold the same emotions he had told her in his good night, but it was darn close enough.

She blinked a couple times and felt sad. He didn’t believe her. If he had he would have felt more surprised and would have said something different from, “It’s…okay Delilah.” She blinked a couple time and bit her lip. “ No Owen, I don’t think you understand. I-I’m not kidding. I lov-” She started, but stopped when Owen said, “Umm…hold on.” She sighed and looked at her bare feet. Before she knew it she was back and with a glass of ice cold water. She blinked at him and muttered, “ Thank you.” She watched him set the water down and then turn to her. Their eyes locked and she blinked her dark eyelashes at him. “I…really do like your eyes, Deli.” He said nudging her forehead to make her lie down. She said with a small smile. “ Thank you, Owen. It really means a lot to hear that. I always wished you thought I was pretty because I love you. I don’t know why you don’t believe me. She sighed and looked at him feeling like she could cry. Why wouldn’t he believe her? She was being serious. She loved him and she couldn’t go a day without falling more in love with him. “ Owen, I don’t think you understand. I love you. I really do love you. I can’t go an hour without thinking about you and those beautiful icy blue eyes. I love everything about you and I’ve loved you since the second month I met you. I probably loved you even before that because I remember first meeting you and you looked like an angel that was sent to save me. I remember thinking that you were so beautiful. Owen that’s about two years I loved you. I want you to believe me. Please say you believe me. I can’t not love any of you. I love you midnight hair and how you straighten it. I love those big, bright, blue eyes that always seem to be shining no matter what light you’re in. I love your flawless skin and how soft and warm it is. I especially love how you stutter and pause during your sentences. It makes me swoon and every time you smile I melt. I love that you’re so tall and awkward. It’s amazing. I know you could never love me, but please believe me when I say that I will never get over to you. I love you and I hope that nothing will change because I can’t live without you. Please believe me.” She pleaded. She hugged her pillow and her eyes fluttered closed. She had had a long day. “ I love you, wolfie.” She whispered as she drifted off into sleep. - - - - - - - - - - - Hi, Deli. Owen said sending her spiraling back into reality. She blinked her eyes open and say Owen. What a wonderful thing to wake up to. She smiled and sat up. Suddenly she noticed the terrible head ache she said. She held her head and squeezed her eyes shut. Sighing she opened them and saw a glass of water and some aspirin. She smiled and said, “ Thank you, wolfie.” She said taking the water in one hand and the aspirin in the other. Throwing the aspirin in her mouth she quickly drank some water sending the aspirin down her throat. Smiling she ruffled her hair and noticed that she was still in her club wear. Standing up she walked to her closet and pulled out a clean red fitted t-shirt and a pair of jean short. Going behind her dress screen she began to strip and said, “ Hey did I say anything last night? Everyone always tells me that I’m really honest when I’m drunk and I say a lot of secrets. It’s terrible.” She asked shimming off her jeans and then her shirt. She then moved into her clean clothes and then walked out from behind the dress screen with her dirty clothes in hand. She threw them in the hamper and laughed. “ I remember one time I had blurted out to of good friend about how her fiancée had made a move on me. Well, it was definitely an interesting night.” She laughed. Smiling at him she looked at him and said, “ I’m hungry. Let’s go get a cupcake.” all I need is just a little emotion

Owen's mind felt like it was going to explode. He wasn't entirely sure what to say about last night. In simple words - and he didn't really have any other way of explaining it, Delilah had confessed her - undying - love for him. What was he supposed to do when his best friend told him that? Gulping as she woke up, Owen adjusted the shirt he had slid on, as well as a pair of pants. He had showered when he'd gotten up, and was already ready for the day to do nothing or to do everything. Blue eyes followed her quietly as she got up and moved behind a dressing whatever it was called, he forgot, and spoke. Wait, secrets? The wolf's brows furrowed slightly. He had told her she was pretty, gorgeous, and he liked loved her eyes. But...she had to feel the same way then. She had pretty much told him all about it last night. Last night when she had been drunk. She said though it was secrets and such, did that mean she really felt it? Shock rolled through him as she spoke about telling a friend and a fiance and all that. Swallowing past the lump in his throat, Owen spoke, "Nothing...I didn't know." he fibbed, feeling he'd hopefully get away with it. "You don't remember anything?" he asked quietly, following her movements before she came out from behind the screen dressed and then led him out to the kitchen to get breakfast, well, a cupcake. Owen smiled lightly and scooped up some dog food for Apollo who happily went to eat his own breakfast while Owen rummaged into the box, and produced Delilah's six cupcakes in their own box, then his own six cupcakes as well.
He was wanting something light. Vanilla perhaps. Grabbing that one and putting his box away, Owen sat down silently beside Delilah, wanting to know what to say. He wanted to ask her, god did he want to ask her, to ask her what she really thought, if it hadn't just been the alcohol talking. But it did have a way of loosening people's tongue when they didn't want it to. Owen swallowed some water and sighed lightly. Should he ask? Glancing swiftly towards Delilah, Owen opened his mouth to ask something, though decided against it and closed his trap. Running a hand anxiously through his newly straightened hair, Owen then inquired gently, "What did you want to do today?" He stood up, finishing off the cupcake and approaching his calender, marking yesterday off, one day closer to graduation. It was this coming Friday, which was in two days. Today though, as Owen looked over his schedule, he was wanting to go out to the forest. But not as humans. He wanted to run, to avoid talking to Delilah right now as much as possible while he sorted out his thoughts. Twitching anxiously, Owen then looked to her quietly, almost as if he were defeated. "I'm good to do whatever."
Sitting down beside her, Owen swiftly looked towards her as she ate her cupcake. Should he ask her? He desperately wanted to. Wanted to know if it was true. Owen had wanted to be with her, she was funny, smart, outgoing and passionate about everything. She cared about people, selfless and took herself and put others before her own health. Owen then paused and mused, "Umm..I hope you're free tonight." Owen grinned innocently, tonight was also the night Damien had his free mic night too, where people could get a break with a local company if they were good enough. Keenly eyeing Deli, Owen spoke, "I...want to invite you somewhere with me tonight. I won't tell you where." He would need to grab her music though, fortunately he knew where most of it was, and he could just grab it right before they left for the open mic night. Blue eyes gleamed with the idea before he stood up and set his cup in the sink, as Apollo poked Delilah's leg with his nose, tail thudding against the bar as he then padded off to go sleep on someone's bed. Owen felt like curling up too and sleeping, or just lazing the day away. Maybe Delilah wouldn't mind spending it with him...
