dreamed the long day just wandering free though i'm far gone you sleep nearer to me
Rabid fans of dinosaurs did not often visit museums as most had little to no interest in art whatsoever, but when it so happened that said museum was hosting a dinosaur exhibition, you can bet your ass that they would be there. It did not matter if art was boring and pretty much as uninteresting as fuck to them, but when there was dinosaurs, everything was suddenly catching their attention. The same concept had no doubt applied for a certain young werewolf, but there was an exception, she did have an interest in art. Heck, exhibitions were held in her name for crying out loud. Monica hadn't found the time to go poking around museums to check out art because she was indeed capable of becoming quite the lazy fart, but the announcement of a dinosaur exhibition popping up in Manuka was enough to catch her attention. Without wasting any time, she was on her way there, eager to see the bones of the extinct reptiles.
Monica had no idea how long she spent staring and gawking at everything around her, but hours breezily flew past her like nobody's business. She was busy engrossing herself in the exhibition that even her basic needs did not penetrate her thick skull. Feeling hungry, and even going to the toilet were unsuccessful in occurring to her that she was mortal. Clutching a plushie dino doll, she scampered around the museum oohing and aahing. No one took notice of her even if she wasn't acting her age because she was just that young looking, able to pass off as a teenager anywhere and anytime. It was impossible to tell her to act her age at certain times like this, because like hell she was going to listen to you. No wonder her pack were super protective of her, and hardly let her out of their sight whenever she was around. She was just too fragile and naive.
In circles she scampered around the museum, dino plushie in arms. The behemoth of the skeleton of the tyrannosaurus rex suddenly caught her eye, and even though she had already checked it out, Monica was on her way there. Her long brown locks smacked into the face of another as she turned around, and she was too preoccupied with her jumbled thoughts to even think of apologizing. She wasn't usually this scattered, but well, there was always an exception.
It only seemed a matter of time before she crashed into someone. Hellbent on getting to Mr. T-Rex, she didn't see the dude in front of her before she whacked into him and fell onto the floor with a loud thunk. "Heeeeeeee!" she squeed, clinging onto her plushie and ignoring the new electric pain on her butt, ready to shoot whomever down for getting in her way. Her loud words were lost when she saw who it was, and it took the young lady a few moments to recognize who he was. Hey, it was Harper's brother! Did he come to see the dinos too? "Cameron!" Monica greeted him cheerfully, still on the ground and oblivious to the looks that she was receiving. "Did you come to see the dinosaurs too? They're wonderful aren't they!"

across the universe, images of broken light, which dance before me like a million eyes. they call me on and on across the universe. thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box, they tumble blindly as they make their way.... nothing's gonna change my world, Cameron's photographing career was going well. He was triumphant because he knew his family (and especially his dad and oldest sister Harper) had been very skeptical about Cameron pursuing his passion as a career, and the only reason he still was in college was because his dad had thought that his son needed at least a decent education and a diploma so he could fall back onto something. And secretly Gavin had probably hoped his soon would let go off this madness and pursue a normal, 8-to-5 job, but that wasn't really happening. Cam didn't like to stay seated in an office the entire day, locked up doing boring stuff. He wanted to be out there and travel, explore and experience things and feel like he was still young. He didn't like college but he was intelligent so he flew through it anyways. He loved his family, sure, but they should give him the freedom to do what he wanted and now he had to prove that things were going well. Which they were, really. Cameron had been hired by a magazine to make pictures for them. A legit, international magazine. Every time Cameron saw his pay scroll his eyes still popped out by the amount he was earning right now. It was sure as hell more than what he had earned filing papers for his dad's company, he was sure of that.
Cam had an eye for the perfect angle, the perfect lighting, or maybe he was just lucky, but he never made a 'less than gorgeous' picture, as his boss/manager described it. For him it was like capturing a part of someone or something's soul and being able to look right through it, if you only looked closely enough. It was how he had met Marley, and though everybody had told him he was nuts for pursuing her, the picture had told him something else and he always followed his pictures and his intuition. And it had turned out amazingly. Cameron had fallen crazy in love with the feisty witch who turned out to have a sweet side too and it was exciting. She was exciting, she was new and amazing and he just couldn't stop thinking about her, now that they were finally dating. It had taken the hybrid all his convincing skills to convince Marley, but she had wanted to be with him and the thought of that alone made his heart flutter. He was so deep in his thoughts that the boy nearly skipped the Museum of Art, where he was supposed to make pictures of the exhibition today. Chuckling to himself for his silliness, Cameron took a final drag from his cigarette (he could nearly feel Harper glare at him from the corners of his mind for his disgusting habit) and then strolled inside, telling the employees there why he was here so they wouldn't freak out as he suddenly started taking pictures.
And then he got started. Whenever Cameron was focusing on his camera, whenever he was in the zone, the entire world outside of that didn't matter anymore. It was like he was hunting, stealthily sneaking towards the pictures and skeletons and capturing them at the perfect moment. It was what the boy was good at, it was what he got paid for. People didn't often believe Cam was really a photographer, nor did they believe you could actually make a living out of it, but as said above, you would be surprised. Even he himself had been surprised with how much photographers got paid, at least, the good ones. His boss was a very rich and generous man and when he liked Cam's pictures, then Cam would get a shitload of money more than he already got anyways. The world of photography was weird, it was different but it was also exciting and new and Cameron loved to just dive into it and explore every aspect it had and stay as long as he could. After all, this was his passion. And he was so taken up by his passion that he really didn't notice the frantic dinosaur fan storming towards the T-Rex just as he took a step back to take a picture. He did notice when the person bumped into him though, but since he was so tall, the girl bounced back and he turned around. "God, I'm so sorry, I should pay better atte- Oh, hi there Monica." |
The boy said with a chuckle as the girl on the ground turned out to be one of Harper's pack members and thus a member of the female pack that would soon be linked to theirs when Wyatt and Harper got married. Cameron still didn't like it that his parents were arranging his big sister to be married and he didn't get why she didn't do anything about it. He just hoped they wouldn't do that to him, because he was now dating a witch and he just really didn't want to get married to some stranger he didn't love. And in fact, he felt way too young to get married anyways. "Even better, I'm here to take pictures of the dinos." Cam said with an amused smile, pointing at his expensive camera (his baby, even) before reaching out his hand to help her up, since Monica -in all her enthusiasm- was still bouncing around on the floor. Monica Younger was an interesting phenomenon, hyperactive and enthusiastic, always smiling. He would like to get to know her better, friend-wise, but she was always so far in outter-space that he really didn't know where to start. Ah well, maybe this was a start. "C'mon, you want a picture with the T-Rex?" He asked with a grin, nodding his head at the colossal skeleton. Not exactly what he got paid for to do, but hey. Who cared, really.[/div] tag || MOMO/NAGA || words || 975 || outfit || click ! notes || SORRY FOR THE WAIT

TEMPLATE BY ANYA OF CAUTION 2.0 LYRICS BY THE BEATLES

Yay to dinosaurs. Yay to herself. Yay to meeting someone she hardly even knew! Momo could feel herself celebrating inside, her own heart deciding to throw a little party for herself. Her day was just getting even better and better. Of course Momo knew who Cameron was, he was Harper's brother for pete's sake, but she didn't know anything more than that other than he was a phorographer. She continued beaming at him from the floor, clutching the dino to her chest tightly. She could so stay there all day if she wanted, the floor was cool and nice and comfortable. Monica wouldn't mind sleeping with the dinos too, but the nasty security guards had this awful habit of chasing people out after six. What meanies. The tiny werewolf never understood their problem, and the fact that they were probably just doing their jobs to keep on living. They were still goons anyway in her own humble opinion.
She let out a loud, very loud squeal when Cam mentioned that he was here to take pictures of the dinos. "As you should!" The brunette shot him a thumbs up in approval with a free hand, still on the floor of course. "Dinos are the best! Look at this little guy here!" Momo raised the green plushie, grinning from ear to ear happily. Impervious to the odd looks she was constantly receiving, she barged on. "How is this NOT cute?" Despite being in her early twenties, it was appalling at how young Monica truly was. She had the heart and optimism of a happy seventeen year old, and from the looks of it, there was no way she was going to grow up anytime soon. She liked being innocent and immature, growing was boring, and it sucked big time. The werewolf was going to embrace her youth as much as she could before it was too late for her. At least she would die happy.
"Dang right I want a picture!" She grabbed his offered hand and hauled herself up, brushing off invisible specks of dust and dirt off herself. She scampered towards the colossal skeleton of the t-rex and daintily posed with her plushie in front it. As Cameron snapped away, Monica posed here and there in ridiculous, amusing positions. Her face changed with each shot as well, each expression becoming even more appalling and entertaining. Momo really was having the time of her life. It didn't take much for her to get pumped up. It had always been easy to entertain her, she had the mindset of a child after all. It was no wonder she was adored and loved by young children, she was in truth a five year old stuck in a twenty-two year old body. Momo could grow up anytime she wanted to, but there was no way in hell that was happening right now.
The werewolf scampered back towards Cameron and glanced at his camera with a shrill "Lemme see!" only to start roaring with laughter at herself. "Aww yeah, this is awesome. Email me all of 'em when you get back, will you?" she said and smiled after she stopped laughing and managing to compose herself. Monica wanted to add those pictures to her art collection, she liked keeping the works of others as mementos. "So, what are ya up to next, Cameron? Are you gonna take pics of more dinos?" The brunette gazed at him expectantly and curiously, quite ready to step away if need be. She had a feeling that she would get in his way especially if he was working because she simply went apeshit whenever it came to the extinct reptiles. Momo was just that crazy about them.

across the universe, images of broken light, which dance before me like a million eyes. they call me on and on across the universe. thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box, they tumble blindly as they make their way.... nothing's gonna change my world, Cameron loved photography more than anything else in the world. It was his passion and his dream, the one thing he wanted to do for the rest of his life, no matter what everybody else thought of it. He was used to his parents' and siblings' skepticism, and he had learned how to deal with it, because he believed in his own abilities and he believed in the possibility of him becoming a photographer with a paycheck. And he had been right, he had managed to do just that. And they paid him quite a lot too, compared to the other jobs he had done to earn some extra money to pay for his equipment or parties or whatever. Sure, his folks would never let him quit college, though that is what he wanted to do, totally focus on this, on what he wanted to do more than anything in the world. He loved it more than his girlfriend, which said something, since Marley Reynolds had wormed her way into his heart and nestled there pretty deeply, deeper than he had expected her to be. He loved her, he knew he did, and they were a perfect match, no matter what other people seemed to think.
But that didn't matter now, since he was at the museum and he had to focus on what his task was; taking pictures of the dinos. Not the most exciting and challenging jobs he had gotten so far, but it was alright. He generally liked dinosaurs, and the movies about them, so that was something. And as he bumped into someone who he seemed to know a little, his grin widened. Monica Younger was.. something alright. She was so different than any girl he had ever met, the brightest ray of sunlight that he had ever seen, and he thought she was fascinating. The way she stood there with that dino plushie in her hands, screaming rather loudly, it brought a smile to his face, and she amused him. "That is definitely a cute dino, Momo." |
The hybrid said with a grin, quickly shooting a picture of the plushie before asking her about whether she wanted any pictures with the T-Rex. Her child-like enthusiasm was infesting and he found himself getting more excited to take pictures of some statue made up out of old bones, but he did it anyways. When Cam made pictures, he focused, like a predator sneaking up on it's pray, silent and calculating. He moved around until his head made a click that meant he had to take a picture and then took one. And it was never bad. He didn't know how many pictures he made of Momo in front of the T-Rex, but quite some. Well, it was his own camera anyways, so he was the person who got to decide what was on it, that sounded about right. He nearly dropped his camera when she let out the shrill noise, before chuckling and turning his camera to show her what he had made. "Of course! I don't have your e-mail but I can ask Harper." The boy continued, situating his camera back on it's proper place around his neck, watching the girl as she seemed truly child-like excited to meet the dinos. He shrugged at her question, because honestly as long as he brought back good pictures, Cameron could do whatever the hell he wanted. "Oh yeah to give my boss a view of the collection and pictures for his article about it. But I've got time enough, c'mon," He said, gliding his hand around her wrist, gently tugging her along further into the collection. So many things to see, so little time, after all.[/div] tag || MOMO/NAGA || words || 616 || outfit || click ! notes || EEP

TEMPLATE BY ANYA OF CAUTION 2.0 LYRICS BY THE BEATLES
