Nick needed a car. This wasn’t exactly a car’s salesman place, but it was in the upper state. There were a bunch of people wandering around that knew exactly what he wanted. It was why he was there. He actually hadn’t really been driving before, but it couldn’t be very hard to figure out. He had been watching it since the very first production came out years ago. One of his charges had been enormously wealthy (many people had wanted that guy dead, let Nick tell you), and one of the first to own a vehicle. Nick couldn’t continue to just walk around. When he was a guardian angel, he could just fly and poof from place to place without another thought. It was one of the things he had to give up, but it was worth it. If getting a car was the only thing it took, he would take that a thousand times. Freedom was everything. It was his hope, his dream, and his air. The whole reason he fell.
That was the entire beauty of it though. He had the freedom to walk over there as he pleased to observe what he needed in his own car or truck. There wasn’t that little thing itching at the back of his head asking him to see where his charge was at. There wasn’t a constant pester that his charge was just growing up and having a life while Nick only had the company of other angels. A couple of times, he had decided to become visible and a part of his charge’s life, but he realized people noticed too many things. Noticed it wasn’t going to change ages. That was the biggest point. If he were human, and he realized that from Vladimir in the first place, perhaps he wouldn’t be in this mess. The mention of the vampire’s name really struck an angry thought in his mind. That damn little sucker was in Manuka. At least he wasn’t able to go anywhere. Another reason why Nick really wanted a car. He felt like that would be easier. There was a small chance he was going to be able to have his own ship again, so this was going to be as close as he could get.
He had talked to a few guys about car mechanics. They always tried to dumb down the language, so when Nick replied in such a manner, they were surprised and continued. Nick only talked to one woman. Women in places like these were prodigies. All the attraction came to them because they were the only attractive thing besides some of the brainless chicks coming in with a flirty smile and a broken car. Now, Nick wouldn’t consider himself sexist. He just had a hard time respecting women and feeling attraction to them. If he wanted to sleep with a woman, there was a pretty good chance that there was no way in hell the pair would get along on an emotional level. It was why some of his charges had been difficult to handle. (Man, he sounded old when he talked about those charges). Sure, he believed in them rising up or whatever. Go for it- he didn’t care. All the social classes liked to change and form with time. There was nothing that Nicolas could do to really stop it, so there was no point in making a large fuss.
It was about time he head back. Nick learned about as much information as he could in whatever time frame he was into. Plus, he could see the tension the other guys were getting since they had work to do. He decided that he wasn’t going to be obnoxious that day and move on. It was interesting that this place was found in the upper state yet had decent prices. It wasn’t the dirty part he was worried about- as the simple fact was cars were dirty. Anyone who was really worried about the grime really needed a double check. Nick was pretty tolerable of people, but one thing that drove him nuts to even be close to tolerating was those that were so stupid the head was full of air. It was amazing how many just wanted to swarm the earth too! Made him shake his head. As a navy officer for Britain, he was allowed to smack those guys around and make them clean something. Now a days, he would become arrested for not treating those guys with respect. Men and women had to earn their respect. They didn’t just get it. Nick went from a blacksmith to an officer- an unheard of concept in those times. If he had to work hard, so did everyone else.
Speaking of working hard. Nick had been talking to someone out the door, walking backwards and smiling a last goodbye to the fellow gentleman who helped him. When he turned around, he found himself not looking at the door, but looking at one of the people that also came in. Whether this woman was lost or not was questionable, but as Nick stepped back and looked at her, she seemed to be here with purpose. ”Oh, my apologizes miss.” Nick grinned, gripping onto his shirt for a moment almost as if he was in an authority position. Why not? He had nothing else to do this day, and Nick was always looking for some sort of entertainment.

This was the one thing she hated about cars , yeah they got you places but it totally sucked when they decided not to work anymore. Thus leaving you with a rental or just having to walk everywhere neither of them were that great but Indy had done it enough times to be able to handle it. Her car was a classic Sting Ray it was something her dad and brothers worked on after their mom died. Since then it was her pride and joy, so when it broke down well it made Indy a little more then upset. So after many drinks and ranting with bouts of anger she took her car to the only shop he knew in town. It wasn't that bad of a shop but she wished that she didn't have to deal with that either. Yet she did , paying in cash to make sure everything was going to go smoothly. Now after many stress filled non car days she was finally able to go collect her car again. Glancing at the time she huffed grabbing her towel wrapping it around her sweat covered neck. Having worked out from home today she figured it would be to shower and then head over to the shop.
Working out was something Indy always needed to do , it made her body the beautiful thing it was now. As well as helping her anger ,and urge to fight and punch things stay in check. Turning on the shower she let out a soft sigh and hum it was going to be a better day as soon as her car was in her hands. The steam filling her bathroom as she washed and cleaned her hair and body. Thoughts of what else she had in store today filtering though her mind. Nothing too drastic stood out , but she figured that always could change. Exiting the steam filled bathroom digging though her clothes she found a worn pair of jeans and plaid shirt . With her lime green necklace she grabbed her boots and headed out the door. Even though spring was coming it was still rather chilled depending on the day. Which pissed off Indy , why the hell was it still sometimes winter in spring what good did that do for anyone. Absolutely nothing it was just a pain in the ass that no one liked dealing with. Grumbling that to herself she glanced around the streets as she started her walk to the shop.
Pulling out her phone she noticed her had gotten a few texts from her pack mates , with a tisk noise she slipped her phone back in her pocket. Why they always tried to talk too her about girly things she never understood. Indy never hid the fact that she disliked doing anything remotely feminine. In fact if ever asked she would usually be blunt and say " Fuck No." So it annoyed her to no end when sometimes they would ask if she would want to par take in any of it. The one who semi wormed their way into her heart though was Monica if asked Indy wouldn't be able to tell you how it happened but it did and she couldn't really do anything to stop it.
With her thoughts running away from her she never noticed the body that she would now almost run into. " Fucking A." Quickly stumbling back she grabbed her bearings and glanced at the warm wall of flesh she just encountered. Eyes flicking up she was happy to see she was at the shop , but displeased by her run in , although she couldn't deny the male in front of her was a sexy she had a goal in mind but he was causing a slight distraction. " Naw your good , my mind was else besides walking it seemed. " Seeing people working she yelled loudly ." Jerry my car better be ready by now or it's your ass." Shaking her head always hating people who too their sweet ass time.. Eyes flicking back she took in his posture and tilted her head. " Can I help you with something , or are you trying to get help here. Cause if so well it usually takes some yelling for them to get this done. " God why did this man have to be so striking on the eyes.

[style=border-left: 20px solid steelblue; background-color: #ffffff;] [style=background-color: #f5f5f5; margin-top: 13px;] [style=font-family: Open Sans Condensed; font-size: 20px; color: steelblue; letter-spacing: -1px; text-align: center; line-height: 23px; padding-top: 5px;]TWO PLASTIC HEARTS [/style] Nicolas had been on his way of leaving the place in order not to be too obnoxious, but the man was far too himself to really resist when yet another opportunity approached. It was another woman, quite stunning actually. In that raunchy beautiful blonde type of way. Eyes that almost matched his eye except his were more blue and hers were very light (almost green tinted next to his). All of these details were important to him in case the pair would meet again. While Nick often forgot faces and names that were not important to him, he could not determine what she was just yet. This could very easily be a woman who looked at him and walked away. Something that wouldn’t really bother him. Make him shrug and move onward to what he was doing before. A small decision and nothing to really pout and cry about. People took rejection too seriously. It never occurred to everyone else that it was probably the other person.
First impression of what came out of her mouth actually made Nick laugh. Looked like she had a bit of a mouth on her. This should be fun. Those were almost always the entertaining ones. If anything, Nick could just sit back or watch the show. Better yet, why he not be a part of the show. What started out as an expression of not knowing what to do turned into a small bit of looking at him and changing her mind. She stood with her posture up, almost looking proud as she stood there looking at him. It was a good thing that Nicolas didn’t really mention how he felt about women and pride. Probably wouldn’t look good on her. Although getting her angry might be fun, he was thinking of some other intentions. All she needed really was not to be wearing anything and he would be set. Getting her to that point was never really a challenge for him. Nor did he care if he didn’t reach his goal. She was like any other woman walking out there. Nothing special- maybe a good deal better looking- but nothing to interest him beyond. ”So it seemed.” He mused, his eyes rolling over her once again. Yep, he was attracted to her. No doubt about it.
She snapped back over her shoulder. Nick looked over to whom she was referring and yelling at. The poor Jerry man just looked at her, almost as if he didn’t know what to say. Yes, it was true, people were caught off guard when people yelled at them like that. It made him chuckle, ”Poor fellow. He’s probably thinking of a way to get out of it.” Very observantly. If Nick would be in the same position, that was probably what he would do. Although he was certain that he would be able to come up with a much faster plan that the man standing away from them. Take this instance for example- he would simply tell her it was finished. Even if it wasn’t. Then take a break. Quick simple way to get out of it and he was long gone before. It wasn’t to say he was a coward. It was just be the best way to deal with an angry customer.
From what he was observing, he also saw she had a very dominate and authority position here. Maybe it wasn’t just here. It could have very well been just everywhere around Manuka. He hadn’t seen her enough to tell, but he had been with people enough to tell what type they could be just by first impression. ”Unfortunately I’m not the yelling type.” If there was a time that Nicolas yelled, there was some serious business. Him in his angry mode wasn’t something that was easily pushed. It really got to him something different. He started with a stern very short tone, but it increased. He hadn’t been that mad for a long time, even when he was frustrated in heaven for keeping him there like a prisoner. He hadn’t even gotten that mad when he saw his true enemy- Vladimir. Mostly, Nick was ticked, but never angry. Oh, no one wanted him angry. If he had been angry when falling, he was sure he would fall further than a demon. Even if that level did not exist- he’d make it exist for the need of somewhere to put him.
He used this line and his manipulative little smile, ”So maybe you would be so kind as to help me? I have no car. And I don’t know what to look for. It has been… a while since my last purchase.” Actually, he had never really purchased one, but for a man that was supposed to be over his 40’s, he didn’t think that would really be very logical. The lie was very clean. Almost as if he were embarrassed to say how long it had been. If needed, he could make up a time or date, but he didn’t expect that would be important to her. Nick actually didn’t even know if she knew anything about cars, but it was something to go for. She seemed like the type. All she needed was grease on her hands and her face and she’d probably fit into this environment rather well. It fit the cliché. Nick didn’t really enjoy clichés as others did, but he did admire when it was in fact- true.

Well and she enjoy giving people shit when she could. More so she wanted her car back , not that she didn't mind walking. Just sometimes she would rather drive places instead of walk around everywhere. Hearing the crash and clanging of equipment she could only imagine that her car wasn't done and that the better part of their time was spent just messing around. Rubbing her head she stepped further into the shop her eyes flicking around trying to at least the job done on her car. Having it be there for close to week she was looking forward to it being done.
Hearing him she couldn't help but chuckle now and give a slight shake of her head. " Yeah well he is a dumb ass and going to get his ass kicked if he doesn't finish my god damn CAR" Her words louder at the end to get her point across. Trying to find Jerry she noticed him trying to duck into the office. That little chicken shit , he was trying to run away. Well that spelt it all out right there , her car wasn't done it meant she would have more time to kill before she was able to get it. Fantastic , her eyes narrowed slightly as a angry sigh escaped her breathe. Why did this have to happen to her , was it karma possibly. Naw she didn't believe in that shit , with the way her life was it was hard to actually believe in good karma or bad karma. Life just sucked sometimes and all you could do was roll with the punches and hope you survive it all. " Yeah well sometimes yelling is the only way to get your point across with stubborn people. or in this case idiots who don't know how to do a simple job." Knowing she got her point across with Jerry she slowly stepped back out of the shop and back towards the male she was talking to.
She wouldn't lie he was rather good looking on the eyes, sexy even if she admitted that to herself out loud. Hearing his question she pondered this for a moment, trying to figure out what type of car he could possible want to drive or had driven in the past. " Well I guess the main question is what type of care do you want to drive and what would the purpose of the car be. " Leaning against a frame of a door she allowed on of her hips to slightly pop out as she relaxed against the door. " And do you really want to have this conversation here in front of the shop where I more then likely if we stayed will yell and probably hit someone to make sure they do their job. Or go somewhere more comfortable so we can discuss such matters of what type of car you want." Okay yeah she if truly wanted to she would sleep with him , but that wasn't what she was looking for at the moment. It was just a matter of how the rest of their conversation went.
Rubbing her neck she stepped away from the door frame and perked a brow still pondering his question. "So you have just been walking around everywhere , damn I don't think I would have the patience to do that all the time. I mean hell it is a pain in the ass now." So even though she suggested that they go to a more quite place , the didn't mean she had to stop talking. Since both of them would have to walk anyway it was good to have conversation or something right. Maybe after this she would get in a work out. Those usually helped her mood when she was annoyed which at the moment seemed to be pretty high. " So do I get the name of the man I am going to help with a future car purchase for , or are we going to go all cloak and dagger."

Though he can’t say in his human life, he had been around a lot of women. Mostly wenches where the pirates occasionally lurked. Nicolas- at that time Destin- hadn’t done much of that though. It wasn’t honorable for a general to go for such things. All of it had to be in secret. Though he had been powerful in his time, he hadn’t been a king. He had to be the respect of the people. His entire life protecting Britain and it’s huge empire. All the fun things that were frowned upon weren’t open to Nick. Still, it never bothered him all that much. Probably one of the reasons he never got married or even thought of marriage. He had been old in terms of that time period when he died. To not be married was a shocker to most, but no one really questioned it. It wasn’t as if he were an old maid. One of the many perks of being male.
Though she didn’t seem like she cared. In his days, he pictured her as a wench. They were very bold like she was. Cursing and drinking all over the place just wanting to look for a good time. Though she looked far better than they did, let him tell you. He still wanted to make sure he was casual about it. The man knew that sometimes looking back and observing was better than anything that could have been said. He didn’t do it very often. Quite frankly, Nick loved to listen to himself talk, but even he did have to admit some of the best strategies were caused by what was observed with the senses. Let someone else rattle on and on. Eventually they’d slip up. He discovered many spies that way. As well as drinking involved, but details. ”Don’t be rude to those that serve us miss.” He warned very casually and calmly. Only because at one point he had been a blacksmith and knew the pressure of that work. It had made him incredibly strong for things to come, and he was not merciful to those who had deceived him.
Oh, so naïve. That was not the only way to get stubborn people to do what they wanted. But the alternatives might not have been her style, so he didn’t correct her. Instead, he made a small chuckle to himself, clearly amused. If anything- she was very entertaining. ”You seem like a woman who has a lot of fire.” Feisty was what it was. ”I understand the burden of someone not doing a simple job.” He sighed, knowing that in his time, that would have meant the man would have been thrown off the ship. Those that did know how to swim ended up dying later anyway because how long could a man really survive at sea? Eventually you have to stop swimming and float there. Before some type of sea creature grabbed ahold of you, you might have just wanted to fall asleep. Exhaustion and dehydration. What a terrible way to go. At least Nick’s had been quick. Him versus the hurricane hadn’t worked out so well. All because of that bloody pirate.
So many technical questions that Nick didn’t care about. That had been the trouble with these guys in the first place. They were talking in details. All these details he could care less about. Who knew there was so many things to consider about with a car? Nick just wanted something. All this other tasks and such was useless for him. He was a big idea type of guy. Did it work? Was it useful to him? He didn’t care about the fun features on the side or he would have went to a car dealership. He heard they had plenty he could choose from, ”So much details to think about. I want one that suits me.” Probably not even a single clue of help to her, but he added, ”Something that works.” He told her. Nick liked nice things. He just didn’t think that a car was a nice thing. It was a thing that took people places. Nothing compared to wings, let him tell you.
While he wanted to tell her this was indeed the perfect place or he wouldn’t have gone there, he was curious. Where else was she planning to take him? Was she just finding this nice little excuse to leave? He eyed her carefully, knowing that he should make sure he was cautious but always go for having fun. That was his entire life now. Amusing himself for entertainment. Hell- if she were here to try to attack him, that would be enough to amuse him, wouldn’t it? A new smirk appeared on his face as he followed her out, not agreeing nor disagreeing. He was interested. What was this little cat planning? Nick not understanding the irony considering she was a werewolf.
As he walked along side of her, she asked him if he walked everywhere in the past, and he just laughed. Oh, if only that small child understood and knew. He had been flying everywhere in the past and before that, been taking a ship from place to place. Before cars. Such impatient little people, weren’t they? ”It never bothered me before.” He told her, having a small glint in his eye. His eyes rolled over her again. Hot damn. ”My name is Nick. And who might you be?” His full name wasn’t really something he liked to say. Sometimes the name Destin didn’t get a good reputation.

Hearing his comment about not being rude to service people caused Indy to raise a brow, who the hell did this guy think he was trying to tell her act. She was paying someone to do their job, and it wasn't getting done. Why being nice to them or not mattered to him was beyond Indy. At this point she was just getting annoyed that the time and effort she was paying for her car was not done yet. " Yeah well I'm paying them for a service which has not been to my satisfaction so I am can be as angry as I chose to be. I will take your advice into advisement though thanks." That was about has nice as she was going to get at this point in time. Why the hell people thought of interjecting themselves into others situations was a good idea Indy never understood, although it wasn't like she was really being secretive about this particular moment, in fact she was shouting loud enough for the whole store to echo. That was beside the point though, she just wanted her freaking car and it seemed like it would be taking even longer then what she had originally planned which was annoying to say the least. Although the guy beside her wasn't anything to be displeased about, he was rather attractive which was something Indy had missed looking at. It had been awhile since she had such interesting company.
A chuckle escaping her tense lips at the comment about having fire, out of all the things she could be called that was the least offensive. People didn't understand how to handle Indy, she really didn't care how people took her, but over the years you tend to notice what sets people off and what doesn't. Indy didn't have any cares about being delicate or lady like, there was no time for it, life was too short and could end in the blink of an eye. What mattered was how you lived your life and what you did with the time you had. Which was why Indy would be crude mean and rough. Who gave a shit in the end really, this was how she wanted to be so why would people even give a damn. It wasn't there life so they could just butt the hell out of it. Well a few people she cared about and their views, Shay her pack not that she would ever admit the latter one out loud. How they saw her though was important, not important enough for her to change but important. She would fight tooth and nail for those who injured her pack and defend any one who needed help from there. But if she would ever be asked to change, she would just laugh and walk away, change wasn't part of Indy's plan and she had no hope or joy to want any of it. Why these thoughts were coming up now were beyond her but she really wasn't in the mood to question or truly dwell on her line of thoughts.
" Fire is one way to put it, most people just call me bitch or anything else along those lines. I just don't really care what people think I am who I am and if people have a problem with that, well then they can suck it or just deal with it. Cause I am not in the mood to change and I say what I think and go after what I want. People tend to have a problem with that, so I guess fiery is a good way to put yeah." Slowly blinking at her now word vomit and had would go to her forehead as she slowly rubbed it, this guy probably didn't five a shit about her issues, hell she didn't care half the time about her own stuff. Beer and venting to Shay was how she dealt with that , so why she was telling this all to a complete stranger was beyond her. She wasn't some girl talking feeling chick, no she was down and dirty which was something she was starting to crave more of as they continued to talk. Thoughts of how dirty and down he would possible get and how much he would want to if given the chance and possible persuasion. " I think people just to forget that some things truly aren't that complicated they just make it that way, then it takes even longer for them to solve something simple it is rather annoying in my opinion. "
Her eyes would scope out his frame once more, just trying to picture what type of care he could possible be driving. " Well hell everyone wants a car that works, that doesn't mean it can't have a certain style it because Jesus everyone should be proud of the car they drive." At least that was Indy's thought on the whole thing, people can think what they want but that was here view. " Hmm I think a classic muscle car would do you good or just a classic car something along though lines. Or maybe a sports car if you feel daring, up to you though." Well that and the money he felt like putting down for a car but since he was willing to buy one, he should at least have a decent amount of money right.
God this man was sexy her teeth would pull on her bottom lip, unable to stop certain thoughts from filling her mind. Despite all of the issues at least she had something good to look at, cause damn she wasn't going to complain at all. " Nice to meet you Nick. I'm Indy." Her hand would be held out for him to shake if he so chose to, if he didn't well no harm no everyone liked shaking hands with strangers.
