Talking one thing Indy hated more then anything was talking even more so with woman. Because no matter how hard she tired feelings always came into the picture and that bugged Indy even more. That was girly crap and something that Indy never seemed too have time or patience for. Yet here she was heading to place that she never wanted to step foot in. Probably more then likely about to start to talk about things she never really wanted to mention or discuss again. Yet it couldn't be helped , she was having to go in and talk. Yet at least the person she was about to speak too Indy trusted in a sense. Kenize at least what she liked too call her was their pack leader. Even though Hansen turned them all. She was the one who brought them altogether as a family. And that was something that Indy respected. It was one thing to say they were family , another to actually treat them as such as that was what was happening even though she butted heads with most of the woman their. Kenzie seemed to be able to keep everyone in line and safe.
Rubbing her neck, a shaky breathe leaving her lips it had been a few weeks since Wyatt had found her in the woods. Since then Indy had tried to keep her life going on as normal as she could. But she knew that her anger for everything was not getting easier and she if she knew her pack leader like she thought she did. Then she also knew that something was up that Indy wasn't spilling. But weren't they safer that way ? by not telling them everything that happened. Indy thought they did but it still did not stop her from coming her to heading inside that building and go looking for alpha. At least that was what was playing in her head. At the moment she was still outside the building staring at the entrance door like some stunted child. Her feet tapping quickly on the ground, whispering to herself about just being able to step though the door. No movement was happening though. This was the thing Indy was never good at talking and explaining feelings. The last time she did that , was when her mother was still alive and had not died in front of her. That day changed Indy more then she would ever bale able to admit so now she needed to try and suck it up make those first steps and stop being a coward
With a weak self growl she pushed open the door as her senses were assaulted with the music and smell of relaxation and contentment. Eyes flicking around , glancing down at her own outfit of boots torn jeans, a t shirt and leather jacket. All she could do was sigh and rub her neck. Heading to what seemed to be the front desk she leaned against it looking to the woman sitting there. " Hey I was wondering if you could page a Mackenzie for me. I am pretty sure she expecting me. " Never one really more manners and the like she leaned against the desk and waited. Her mind running over in her head of why she was here now about to talk about things that caused her pain , and anger at herself for still being caught and and not able to find freedom for herself. Maybe talking to Kenzie would help , although she highly doubted that.

[/style][style=width: 390px; height: 250px; background-color: #d6d6d6; font-family: arial; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; line-height: 115%; padding: 5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; opacity: .5;]This was by far one of Makenzie's favorite places to be. Everyday she looked forward to coming down the stairs that connected the spa to her apartment above it. Just the sense of accomplishment and pride at running her own business, a successful one mind you, was one of the best feelings. Especially after being told most of your life that you were good for nothing more than being a pretty piece of arm candy and popping out babies. Brains? Women weren't supposed to use theirs and most certainly couldn't run a business as well as a man. Ha. Take that all you chauvinistic pigs back home. A little bitter sounding true but Kenzie honestly couldn't have cared less because as far as she was concerned she had earned the right to a touch of bitterness towards the people in her hometown. Her father specifically. A small part of her almost wished there was a way to let him know just how much she'd done with her life mostly to rub it in his face.
That, however, would mean digging up a whole other can of worms and she had absolutely no desire for that to happen. So for now she could settle for simply enjoying the fact that she had proven them all wrong even if they might not have known it themselves. Plus there was also the other issue of her no longer being exactly a human anymore either that would likely create even bigger problems with her family if they were to ever find out and that was only added motivation to keep herself as far away from them as possible. She didn't really have to imagine what the man would do if he discovered her secret and the thought that he might not only do something to her but potentially her pack, well that was not something she wanted to contemplate. If there was one thing that scared Kenzie more than anything it was something bad happening to her girls or Larson. The attack that had left them with less than half the original members still alive had been bad enough and now that she was the alpha her goal was to make sure something like that never, ever happened again.
In the year since then things had started to go back to normal again for them all, with new members joining since that only made it stronger and more united. There were still a few of them that Kenzie wasn't sure were quite over her taking Hansen's place but she didn't feel threatened by any of them and genuinely liked all of the members. Warming up to people had always taken her more time than some but it was a trait she was working on and doing quite a bit better with than she used to. Chalk it up to finding yourself left with a group of scared and grief stricken people who were looking for someone to hold them together. You were sort of forced to open up and share things that you normally kept to yourself and suffering through it alone could only last for so long until someone noticed.
Most of the girls seemed comfortable enough with her or at least one or two of the other members to do just that. Even Bandy was doing better at being less standoffish and letting people in unlike before. There was still one though who was most often the exception to the rule. Kenzie really liked Indiana when it came right down to it. The girl was tough, knew her own mind and wasn't about to be told what she should and shouldn't do by anyone. Kenzie admired that attitude really seeing as she was quite a bit like that herself. Indy, though, had yet to learn when to tone down that attitude and at times it left her hanging high and dry as some of the girls disliked her for it. Still, Kenzie was glad to have her as part of the pack and though she hadn't pushed herself on the girl was working on getting to know her better. Or at least let her know that she could trust her with things. Progress, however, had been a bit slow.
So it would have been accurate to say Makenzie was a bit surprised therefore when Indy had called her and asked if they could talk. More than happy to do so she'd told the girl to stop by the spa anytime throughout the day. She half wondered if the girl would actually show up especially as the spa wasn't exactly her favorite place to visit for extended periods of time. The phone on her small desk rang that afternoon though to let her know Indiana was there looking for her and she got up to head out to the front of the spa a moment later. Seeing her standing there by the front desk, she smiled in greeting. "Hey, Indy! You said earlier you wanted to talk to me about something?" She questioned, tucking a strand of her dark hair behind her ear. "We can either use my office or go someplace else if you'd rather," It didn't really matter to her where they talked so long as Indy felt comfortable.

It was not that she disliked spa's they just were not her thing. Girly did not apply to Indy and she made no qualms about hiding it. But here she was , to talk to Kenzie about something that happened with that stupid fae and a cage. God that woman still brought anger in her veins. Wyatt was helping somewhat hell he did save her life in a sense from wandering around a forest. Rubbing her neck she let out a weak sigh and closed her eyes. She could do this , it was not going to be hard just talk and allow words to form. Even a simple child could do it right , so then why did it feel like a big lump was forming in her throat causing her words to fall silent and unable to speak. Yeah this was going to go so well. Hearing footsteps she glanced up , Kenzie had arrived and it seemed now like their fun little gathering was going to get started. Leaning back against a wall slightly , her hands moving to her back pockets to rest she sighed. " Hey Kenzie this place looks great , I mean I remember it looked good , but it looks really good now. " Wow she was horrible at small talk , coughing slightly to try and semi get herself together eyes flicking back to Kenzie.
" Uh your office works I guess , you know im not really great at this sorta thing so I suppose whatever works for you or whatever." Her tennis shoes slowly making soft noises as she walked towards the office. " Letting out a soft breathe she glanced back to Kenize with a teasing smirk. " I suppose you don't have any beer in your office do you , cause that will probably help a lot. " There we go good old Indy , liquor always helped conversations she never had a good time talking about. So if Kenzie had some liquor things would be grand. She wasn't really sure where her office was she she stayed back slightly and waited for Kenzie too lead her towards it. " How are things going with you by the way. I haven't really seen much of the girls lately , Younger dropped by my apartment though for a bit , damn she has a lot of perkiness and energy. Kinda annoying yet sweet I guess I don't know I guess she is growing on me. I kinda want to teach her to fight brought up the idea she seemed kinda interested we will see how it goes though, " Rambling was something Indy was rather good at , well at least when it came it avoiding things to talk about. When it came to serious topics Indy became even more rough and abrasive and that never ended well.
Making her way inside the office , she let out a low calming breathe and rolled her shoulders. A work out after this would probably be best , or a good long run something that helped her work though everything she was probably going to talk about. It was always a roll of the dice when Indy was involved. No one ever knew if she was going to be serious or just a rough vulgar wolf they all knew. " So yeah I actually have no idea even how to start this conversation. Since we both know I don't really babble or talk about stupid pointless shit. So yeah uhh if you want to start by all means. " Indy knew what she wanted to say and explain it was the process of getting to that point which seemed to be the problem. Fingers clenching slightly as she remembered bits and pieces of her cage and abduction. Why did she want a wolf so badly , she had a sick smirk of amusement on her face as well as she talked to her. That stupid woman would hate the day she crosses Indy's bad side and all she could do now was wait for the rest of the chips to fall.

[/style][style=width: 390px; height: 250px; background-color: #d6d6d6; font-family: arial; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; line-height: 115%; padding: 5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; opacity: .5;]Kenzie wished she was one of those people that others seemed to be drawn to when they needed to talk or were searching for help. She knew people like that and it had always dumbfounded her at how easily they could get even complete strangers to open up and share what was on their mind. Unfortunately she doubted that would ever possess that fined tuned ability but she was still a compassionate person at heart and if someone did choose to seek her out for advice to simply someone to listen to their troubles she didn't mind in the least. As the alpha she wanted her pack to know they could come to her with anything and she'd give them her time and offer help if it was needed. Some of the girls seemed more willing than others to do that but with time hopefully that trust would be there for all of them. That was her goal at least.
So the fact that Indy had asked if they could talk Makenzie had been pleasantly surprised seeing as she was one of the last people she would have expected that from. Though she wasn't sure whether she should be worried or not seeing as it was so out of character for the normally self-reliant werewolf. She was fidgeting a little when Kenzie came out into the lobby and greeted her with a slight sigh before complimenting the looks of the spa. Glancing around at the place herself, Kenzie gave a half smile. "Thanks, I've been updating a few things here and there for a while now," She honestly couldn't remember the last time Indy had been inside the building but clearly it had been before a few of the minor changes she'd made had happened. She liked how it looked now. Tranquil and homey but classy too.
A knowing look did cross her features as she raised an eyebrow slightly at the other girl's remark she knew she wasn't very good at this. "My office it is then," Turning on her heel she led Indy across the hardwood floor and down the hall, a soft chuckle blowing from her lips at her comment about having an beer in her office. "Beer no. Wine yes," She wasn't a big drinker but every now and again a glass for lunch or if she happened to stay over through dinner was nice. "That work for you?" It wasn't really as if she was giving the girl an option either she took the wine or nothing but it was less harsh than simply saying as much she supposed. Not that Kenzie had a problem with being harsh but she'd learned to temper herself over the years. A smile turned up the corners of her mouth at Indy's mention of Younger and she glanced over her shoulder then. "Things have been going well enough I guess. You should come by more often Indy. Everyone misses seeing you,"
Kenzie understood the girl's independent streak and had no desire to squelch it but she did wish the blonde would be more involved with the rest of the pack. Everyone needed a good support system after all even those who didn't think so. "If only I had half the energy Monica seems to possess I'd be able to get ten times more done in a day," She continued with a soft laugh. She was rather fond of the girl even if she had yet to fully gain her loyalty as alpha. It was basically impossible to feel down when you were with her and she loved the positive energy the girl always brought to the rest of the pack. "I've taught her a few self defense moves and she's a quick learner," Whether or not she'd be able to hold her own against Indy when it came to actual attack moves was hard to say but Kenzie imagined she'd give the older girl a run for her money eventually.
Reaching her office, Kenzie waited for Indy to walk inside before shutting the door behind her and heading over to her desk. There were two cozy looking chairs on the far side of the room and she motioned for Indy to have a seat in one as she pulled the promised bottle of wine out one of the small built in cupboards plus two glasses. Pouring a small amount in each she made her way to the other chair, handing Indy one of the glasses before settling comfortably in the seat. The girl was clearly nervous, obviously out of her element, and she faltered a little in her words before handing the floor over to Kenzie. Tilting her head slightly, she pursed her lips thoughtfully. "Not a big fan of small talk myself so how about you just tell me what's on your mind?" She had all day and didn't want Indy to feel pressured in any way to spill her guts and go but neither did she see the point in wasting both their time in babbling about unimportant bull crap. Whatever it was it had Indy rattled which had Kenzie a bit concerned inwardly as that was not an easy thing to do to the girl. "I can't promise I'll have a solution for you but I'll do whatever I can to help or just listen if that's what you'd prefer,"

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place ) [/size] Kenzie this woman and Indy didn't always see eye to eye then again Indy liked just staying in the background not causing a fuss. That was the way she always though , even though Hanson brought her into this life , Indy never was one to fully jump in and embrace it all. Yes she was going to be there for the pack , but she could keep her distance and offer support in terms of fighting and a barbed mouth then yes Indy was all for that , but girl talk something deeper naw that was something she wouldn't cross at least not that at this point in her life. Glancing around she couldn't help but rub her hands on her jeans , yeah she didn't fit this at all but she wasn't here to have a spa treatment but to talk to their leader and hopefully be put at ease a little bit. Wyatt had found in the woods that day , beaten up from her own doing against the cage but found her none the less , she owed him and she did say she would talk to Kenzie so that was what she going to do. Not that it would get very far but at least an attempt would be and and she could move forward.
“ Well it looks nice , so you doing a good job with it.” Had it really been that long since she dropped by . Must have been with out different it looked now. Running fingers though her hair a sigh would escaped her lips. Continuing on wards towards the office. At least she was honest about it although not much of a talked. Indy never lied about her intentions or what she was and wasn't good at , what good to it do with lying not truly good ever came out of it so she would need to move forward and just not beat around the bush. Holding a grimace back at the offer of wine at least it was liquor so that would do. “ Yeah that will be fine thanks.” Her shoes would echo across the floor then the subject of her dropping by more would be brought up. Why couldn't anyone understand she never was good at gathering or the types of thing where they actually got all girly and wanted to talk. “ Yeah I know they do , I just it isn't my thing we both know I am not good at actually having conversations when it comes well with anything really. I will make a effort to try more though , that is about all I can give.” She knew people missed her but Indy wasn't sure of how they accepting they would be of her , she hadn't changed much if anything she had become more rough and vulgar then they remembered.
Oh Monica remembering her dropping by not to long ago brought a hint of anger to her face , being attacked by hunters . A group against one person they were a bunch of chicken shits and she hated them for that , what right did they have to hunt people who were different then them. It didn't make them any better then they hunted down people and killed them for being different in face it made them worse in her mind. “ Yeah Monica is a bundle of energy I will give her that, oh yeah she asked me the same so I am showing her a thing or two as well. It isn't good to be defenseless at least people should know a thing or two if they get into a tight spot.” Monica was a quick learner but she did have a ways to go but she had promise which was good enough for Indy to keep training her.
Finally reaching the office , taking the offered seat and the glass of wine already taking a small sip to calm the hint of nerves. Something she admired about Kenzie was she was like herself , not one for bullshit straight to the point no pussy footing around. So now it was time to actually do what she came here to do instead of being coy. One thing Indy never was , she knew what she wanted to say and she should feel at ease for wanting to be able to just let it all out. Closing her eyes she would take a slow exhale before looking to Kenzie. “ Awhile ago when I decided to go out on my own instead of a hunt with you guys , I got trapped or caught I should say. Was kept in a silver cage as a wolf until I shifted back banged myself a good bit actually from trying to escape. A woman detained me in the cage , watching me like I was some test subject, just seeing what I would do. She let me ago eventually but then just vanished. I ended up collapsed in the woods until Wyatt found me , and I just I can't get over this anger Kenzie the weakness I had for getting caught and not being able to be free. And I don't know how to get past that. So there it is all laid out , I want to get revenge so badly to just beat the shit out of the woman who did this to me. I don't know what to do for the first time I feel so lost and I hate it. “

[/style][style=width: 390px; height: 250px; background-color: #d6d6d6; font-family: arial; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; line-height: 115%; padding: 5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; opacity: .5;]Makenzie could almost see the grimace on Indy's face when she had informed her the only alcohol she had on hand was wine and it brought an inward sort of chuckle to the older woman. Typical Indiana, not caring much for what most people considered a more classy drink. Still she wasn't rude about it and accepted the offer with a thank you. Neither was Kenzie surprised at the reluctance she could hear in the girl's voice when it came to the possiblity of coming around more often to spend time with the rest of the pack. Smiling a bit at the honest response that came in reply from behind her as they continued down the hall, she glanced over her should briefly. "Trying is all I ask of anyone, you know that," She wasn't going to force any of her girls or Larson to do something they weren't comfortable with just because she was their alpha and had that sort of power. If Indy made the effort to join in a bit more then that would be wonderful but if not it wouldn't change Kenzie's behavoir towards her or make her consider the girl as any less part of the pack.
"And if it makes any difference we don't always just giggle and talk about girl crap," She added with a slight smirk pulling at one side of her lips before they entered the office. "Sometimes we even punch things," That of course only happened in terms of sparring but still that was more up Indy's alley she figured even if it wasn't a regular occurence during their meet ups. It didn't take long for them pair to sit and with a glass of wine now in her hand Kenzie was quite at ease. Indy didn't appear to be as much which piqued her curiousity slighty, wondering what it was that could be bothering the girl so much. Normally she was the hard as nails sort who didn't show much emotion aside from anger or sarcasm. Which would of course explain the nervousness although for some reason Kenzie was getting the vibe that there was more than just the discomfort of actually sharing personal details with someone.
Taking a couple sips of wine to perhaps calm her nerves the girl across from her shifted slightly before taking a deep breath and slowly retelling her the details of events that had taken place a while back. How far Kenzie wasn't quite sure even as the story unfolded but that really was the last detail she was concerned about. Quietly she listened to each word, tucking them all away in her memory for later use and a bit of anger boiled in her chest at the description of what Indy had gone through while in the hands of this unknown captor. It didn't sound like a hunter. They would simply kill you without bothering to try and poke and pry. Another supernatural creature perhaps? There were plenty out there with psychotic tendencies. Humans too, ones that knew about what lurked out in the darkness and were far too curious for their own good. Indiana didn't appear to really know what this woman had been aside from cruel and enjoyed seeing others suffer.
A slight frown had settled upon Kenzie's forehead by the end of the story, not missing the mention of Wyatt either. She'd have to thank him at some point for helping Indy out like he had. Not that she wouldn't have expected as much from him. The man had proven by this point that he had a good heart beneath that cocky and boorish persona of his. Considering the other girl for a moment she set her wine down on the small table beside her chair. "First off you need to stop beating yourself up over it. You aren't perfect, neither am I and neither is anyone else. So you made a mistake, learn from it and move on," In typical Kenzie fashion she was pulling no punches but her tone was gentle and it was clear she wasn't reprimanding her but simply stating the facts. "I get it though. The anger. Wanting revenge. I lived with that feeling for more years than I care to remember and in the end the only person who actually got hurt was me," It had eaten at her really, made her miserable and frustrated.
"You say you have no idea who this woman was and clearly have no idea how to find her again so holding all that anger towards her isn't doing you any favors," Picking up her glass again she took a small sip of the red liquid. "In fact she'd probably enjoy hearing you want to beat her brains out because that means she won," Shifting slightly in the chair, she added in conclusion, "Take it or leave it but my advice would be to put it behind you and focus on more important things," Meeting Indy's gaze squarely she gave a small almost coniving smile. "Such as keeping at the top of your game so the next time you run into her you can beat her ass before she can lay a finger on you again," Having Makenzie Myers on your list of enemies was not a wise idea. Touch one of her pack and you became just that though. "Putting it behind you doesn't mean forgetting after all,"
Heaven help this mystery kidnapper if she were to ever run into Kenzie or the rest of her pack too. If she was willing to risk capturing a werewolf who knew what else she was capable of doing if she had the chance and Makenzie for one wouldn't wait around and let her live long enough to find out if it came down to it.
