She wasn’t even really one for drinking, if she was going to be completely honest. The demon had rarely had the chance to drink when she was a human and the couple of times she did, things almost always ended badly for her. Most of the times had included her and her master drinking together with him attempting to make a move or two. Luckily, he almost always passed out after drinking a couple of drinks and it wasn’t something Gabriella had to worry too much over. Still, it hadn’t left that great of a taste in Ella’s mouth so alcohol never held all that much of an appeal for her.
And by the time Ella became a guardian angel, what was the point of drinking? She had to drink way too much to even begin to feel the effects of it and of course it wasn’t responsible for her to reach that level. She had Darien looking over her shoulder – at least at the beginning – and a human that she was in charge of. Alcohol, and enough to get her that drunk, didn’t fit into the equation. After all, a drunk guardian angel? Who had ever heard of such a thing? No one, that was for sure, because they didn’t exist.
It wasn’t until after Gabriella fell that she actually started drinking. Again, not really enough to ever get her close to being drunk. The demon was a classier sort of girl who wouldn’t be caught dead as a sloppy drunk. If anything, Ella was more of a social drinker. She drank when the occasion called for it and not really any other times. There wasn’t a point to it otherwise, in the girl’s mind. Sure, people disagreed with her, but Ella had never been one who put too much stock in other people thought if it differed from her opinion.
Needless to say though, it was highly rare that you’d ever see the demon at a place like the Dive Tank. It was pretty much the opposite of everything that was Ella. The place itself was worn down and falling apart. And there wasn’t much that could be said for its patrons either. They weren’t the greatest lot, definitely not the kind of person you’d want to run into at night when you were alone, to say the least. Probably didn’t really want to run into them when you were alone here anyway. Ella doubted there wasn’t much difference of what they would do to you here than what they would do if you happened to run into them in an alley.
So in other words, it was a perfect place for Ella right now. She wasn’t too worried about the people. What could a bunch of nasty humans really do to her? With her being a demon, very little. No, what Ella was more concerned about was finding a place where she wouldn’t run into anyone she knew. Or more specifically, a certain angel that she wanted nothing to do with. He’d never be caught in a place like this and neither would his charge, which really was the bigger issue since Darien had to go wherever his charge went.
Ever since they had run into each other in the alley, Gabriella had been seeing Darien everywhere, even in places she least expected and it was driving her insane. Every single time she ran into him, old wounds were freshly opened and the demon wasn’t sure she could deal with it much longer. It would have made so much more sense for her to just move away from Manuka, find a new city and start all over. Then she wouldn’t have to worry about it, at least not until his charge died of natural causes and Darien was assigned to someone else. But in Ella’s book, that’d be admitting defeat. She wasn’t about to give Darien that satisfaction. Instead, Gabriella went to the one place she’d be certain he wouldn’t be and ordered a beer. At the very least, it’d offer her a couple hours of peace.

[style=width: 450px; height: 400px; background-image: url(http://wallpaperpassion.com/upload_big_thumb1/33893/marion-cotillard-image.jpg);] WHERE THERE IS DESIRE t h e r e i s g o n n a b e a f l a m e
Seeing Reminy brought back many emotions for Noelle, joy was one of them but also anger and a sense of longing. Noelle never thought she would see her again,so now that she had her back in her life. She knew that things would need to be slightly different, that she needed to make sure she was even more cautious and sneaky with her trade and taking of girls. Although her and Ryanna met in secret and no way they could be traced. It would do Noelle good to make sure even more so that her tracks her covered. Checking her phone, she set down her glass of wine, after her shipment of girls she was doing well, but there was still room for improvement and more. Katherine was wondering how she was doing and if Noelle wanted any chance or letting Reminy back in her life. Making sure Katherine was pleased and stayed away was one top of her list. So that mean she needed more girls. Ryanna was busy so she would need to venture out on her own to make this happen. Grabbing her jacket and glancing in her mirror one last time, she stepped out of her condo and headed towards the city.
Now there were many options on where she could go,and it all depended on the type of woman she wanted to bring back with her. If she wanted high class girls, well going to a more expensive and classier part of town would be wise,so not venturing far from her neighbor hood. Although since she knew better then to draw attention to herself, she would venture farther out. Noelle did not get this far,but suddenly becoming sloppy over the feels that seemed to be resting inside of her mind at the moment. So going to a slightly darker seedy part of town would be where her night would take her. Woman who usually were found her, were easier to subdue and make promises too. They were ripe for the picking and sometimes would take anything offered to them. So hopefully her search would not be in vein. Noelle knew though that she wouldn't go empty handed though. Slowly driving down city streets in her car,her eyes looking to see possible prey on her drive towards an type of destination. So many people were out so she had many options which would be good that meant her night would be useful. Pulling to a curb she slowly killed the engine slipping out of her car. Heels echoing across the empty cold concrete. Yes this would do perfectly,it was time to hunt and Noelle was always told she was a great hunter.
Walking past people she offered them a soft smile and a calculating glance weighing her options on if they were worth taking or night. So far no one seemed to jump out at her,but then again with this part of town it was fifty fifty, she knew she was getting glances because of her appearance. A high class woman in a seedy part of town brought stares but she did not let that bother her,she had a certain objections on her mind and she would see them though.
Thinking that made this part of town was a dull and waste of space she found herself at the doors of a bar. With a soft tisk of disgust but not wanting to have her total night of driving here a waste she made her way inside. The scent of beer, smoke and a slight hint of something else passed her nose. With a wrinkle and a grimace of disgust she continued on inside. Eyes tracking everyone who was moving, and seeing what the bar had to offer. Stepping further inside she licked her lips, then she spotted it a woman alone. She was a gorgeous female, with a beautiful dark complexion and stunning eyes, yes finally it seemed like her search was not in vein. Slowly making her way towards the bar she stood besides the female and waved for the bartender. Waiting for him to arrive she spoke with a soft french accent. " Now normally a woman as beautiful as yourself wouldn't be here alone unless they were looking for something or searching. The question is what exactly are you looking for. " Noelle had a thing for beauty as well and she couldn't help but admit this woman was stunning. NOTES: Creatures that go bump in the night [/style]

There was very little need to, as cocky as that sounded. As far as supernaturals went, demons weren’t the strongest species out there and Ella knew that. Others that were known for strength could overpower them. But overall? Demons – especially original demons like her – were damn near indestructible. She could really only be done in by a guardian angel and Ella didn’t think she had done enough to draw their attention. So she really had nothing to worry about, especially when she was in a room full of people well on their way to being drunk and already entirely smashed humans.
Besides, the point of tonight was to forget and to relax. Gabriella didn’t want to spend the night on edge, especially when she didn’t have to. No, now was the time to let go, to see where the night took her and let it surprise her. Only spontaneity. No plans. It was the type of night Ella needed to unwind, to remind herself of why Manuka was her home and why she belonged here even if Darien was now invading the area. It was all she thought she needed to be able to deal with anything else that might come her way over the next couple of weeks.
Even with that thought in mind though, Gabriella wasn’t being dumb about the entire thing. She dressed down her normal wardrobe in order to come here. Normally she liked to be dressed in higher end clothing. Dresses and heels and anything that looked generally nice and well put together. It was a luxury she never really had until she had fallen and became a demon. She didn’t see the harm in wanting to look nice, but here wasn’t the place for it. She’d stick out way too much and would attract the wrong type of attention. Instead, Gabriella took the opportunity to try a different fashion. She had on jeans that were tighter than she’d ever normally wear, a top that ended a couple inches above the waistband of her jeans, and a leather jacket that was the same length as the shirt. All in all, Ella thought she looked pretty much like every other girl that was in this bar.
Well, almost every other girl, the exception being the woman who had just walked up to the bar next to Ella. The demon hadn’t turned to look at her but instead caught the woman in her peripherals. Just the quick glance told Ella all she needed. The woman was clearly the classy, eloquent type. The kind of woman who owned the most expensive things money could buy, who had to look perfect and put together before she could step out of the house. Even though the woman was out of place, Gabriella couldn’t imagine her in clothes like Ella herself was wearing. The slight French accent only solidified it for Gabriella. This stranger was far from home.
Ella waited until the entire question as out of the woman’s mouth before turning slightly to look at her. She wasn’t quite sure why this woman had singled her out to talk to her. Maybe because they were both alone, from what Gabriella could tell of her at least, in a not so nice place? Though there were other women who seemed to be alone, too from what Ella had seen when she walked in. Maybe Gabriella wasn’t as blended in with everyone as she thought she was, which could explain it, but she wasn’t sure how she wouldn’t be.
Either way, Ella decided she had to go about this carefully. It was natural to be just a slight bit wary of anyone who came up to you in a place like this, she thought. “Or I could just be having a good time,” she said to the woman, not ready to give her a straight answer. Not only was Gabriella not a huge fan of spilling her guts to a stranger, she also didn’t like talking about herself. If she could avoid it, she would. She’d turn the question around instead. “Mind me asking why you are so curious?” Ella asked, hoping that’d be a good enough question to get attention off of herself.

Maybe it was trying to find out what exactly brought the appeal of certain people here. She knew she needed to expand her girls, they were great but they were starting to become all somewhat similar, she needed a change. Maybe some rougher around the edges less clean would help with that. Well she had certainly found the place for that, this place was anything but clean and classy. Eyes flicking around licking her lips holding back a scoff and some inner comments about the class and selection. She slide into a chair and crossed her legs, feeling eyes on her buy ignoring it for now. Waving the bar tender over she offered a small smile. “Martini very dry." She knew that a place like this probably did not have a good wine selection. And she would not waste money on wine that was not at least the best she could afford. Seeing the glass placed in front of her, allowing her fingers to run across the stem, taking a small sip she swallowed it down. Well it certainly was not the best liquor, but it worked for what she wanted to accomplish.
Thoughts of what Reminy would think of this place was playing in her mind, she probably wouldn't mind a place like this. To people watch and try to guess what they were up too to waste their time here. It was something Noelle never enjoyed but Reminy liked it. Then again she tended to see the good in people, as where Noelle only saw them as food and wanted nothing more to do with them. Now was not the time for those thoughts though. She had a woman to entertain and the moment and was hoping her question posed would be answer. Laughing softly at that she glanced back to the female who she had first spoken to and perked a brow. “Yes I the joy of this evening shining brightly on your face." Who truly enjoyed themselves coming to a place like this. No if Noelle had too guess people came here to get lost, too not be able to find themselves for a while, at least that was what she had been thinking. This type of place you didn’t come to be found you came to be lost. The reasoning of why they had come in was their very own.
" Just making polite conversation, unless you want to talk with one of these wonderful gentlemen around us. I am sure they will more then entertained with the idea of talking with someone as pretty as you." Her words slightly colder as she mentioned the men, then going back to a more friendly demeanor. Noelle did not share a love for men, even less when they were seedy and lurked in the shadows, looking for a woman to warm there bed. Yes she doubted a few gems were here tonight. Then again she doubted good men where anywhere. They were good for business some even had good money, but beyond that. Noelle thought of them as food and barely wasted a glance to them. " But if you truly are here to just enjoy yourself, then I will leave you be. But,from what I gather from this place it doesn't seem like a place a young woman like yourself would go to enjoy a fun night. This looks like a place to get lost and forget why you came. " Glancing to her once more she took a sip of your drink. " But I will leave you too it if you wish." Waiting for the dismal or a more clear answer, this woman was curious indeed.

Sure, it was okay for her to be on her guard at least a little bit, given the part of town she was in and her exact location. There weren’t the best characters here and to let her guard entirely down would be a big mistake. But it also didn’t mean she had to be a complete bitch to anyone who came and talked to her. Ella had come here to forget and how was she going to do that if she didn’t distract herself? Besides, this woman seemed easygoing enough and definitely more desirable company than a majority of the people in here.
She quirked a small smile, replying “Is it that obvious? I was trying to keep my joy down to the minimal level.” Ella started to play with her beer bottle ignoring eye contact for the time being. She felt a little dumb now after her earlier snippiness and planned on just downplaying it until it was forgotten. This was why Ella rarely got along with other people. She had spent way too much time around other demons to remember how to socialize correctly. It was always a different set of rules when you were around the likes of them. If you weren’t rude, then there was something wrong with you.
Clearly though, the woman had caught it and Ella found herself making a face at the mention of the “wonderful gentlemen” patrons that were also in this bar. While Gabriella didn’t think they were anywhere near as awful as the demons she spent a lot of her time around, it didn’t mean she wanted to have to deal with their drunken, barely concealed attempts at trying to get her to go home with them. Ella might’ve had little problems hooking up with a stranger, but she had higher standards than what was found here. And that wasn’t her aim at all, anyways. She was more looking to forget men in general instead of picking up another problem.
The word pretty didn’t escape Ella’s notice and she took that moment to glance up at her companion. It had been a long time since the demon was called pretty and she was pretty sure she had never heard it from another woman. The comment earned the woman brownie points in Gabriella’s book, not because she was vain enough to want to be called pretty all the time but because a compliment was a compliment. Who didn’t enjoy hearing them from time to time, especially when they were feeling as down as Gabriella was right now. It was almost like this woman knew exactly what to say and it caused Ella to relax a little bit more.
“Oh no, don’t feel the need to rush off,” Ella assured the woman. She waved a hand as if to dismiss her earlier rudeness. “You’ll have to excuse me for my snippiness. Can’t say I’m in the greatest mood and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.” As if to illustrate her point, Ella brought the beer bottle to her lips and tipped it back, finishing the last of it. She placed it on the counter and waved the bartender over, not wanting to be without a beer to nurse while she was here. The whole point of being here seemed to be to drink as much as possible, after all.
Ella was silent for a few moments while she waited for her beer and once she got it, she lightly rolled it between her hands. She was feeling as if she should start the conversation back up but she wasn’t quite sure where to go with it. Finally, she decided she should answer the stranger’s first question, since Ella had decided she was okay with this woman’s company and all. “I did come here to forget and get loss for a little while,” Ella admitted. “It feels like my life is spinning out of control and I figured I mind as well continue the trend.” But if she was going to give up something so personal, she figured the woman might as well too. “What are you doing here? This doesn’t seem like your kind of place.” That was true enough and it made Ella extremely curious.

Noelle would pause in her moving and then take a seat again her eyes taking in the woman beside her. Yes something did seem to be troubling her but Noelle never really was one to pry unless it suited her. Her took another sip of her drink and just offered the woman beside her a small reassuring smile. " That is quite alright we all have those days and moments. We wouldn't be human if we didn't." Not that Noelle could even be considered human with some of the things she had done, but that wasn't important she knew what she was doing to woman, was inhuman but she truly did have little care for that. She was doing a job and she was rather good at it. It wasn't like the woman would be treated poorly, she knew how to take care of them. That was one thing she did different then Katherine, while Katherine didn't care what happened to her girls. they were just bills to her. Noelle still thought that as well yes, but she also like seeing them healthy and semi taken care of. What good was a product if it was broken down and sickley at least that was her thoughts on the whole thing,
Listening to the young woman speak Noelle would offer a small nod and a smile,so she was right in that aspect. Well of course because who in their right part of mind come to place like this to enjoy your time. No this was the perfect place to try and forget yourself and things that haunt you. That was the funny thing with humans while they all tried to escape their problems with getting drunk.Nothing ever truly got solved they just allowed themselves to sink back into the madness. So eventually the pain would overwhelm them and they would need to try and find something else to help balance it all out. It usually never worked out but it was fun to watch them try and piece their lives back together. But in times like that, it was the perfect time for Noelle to strike , for either a meal or a new person to use. While others would probably feel sad for that fact, Noelle didn't to her it was business and that is what it would always be.
" Well I hope that you can find what you are looking for tonight , sometimes it does help when we get lost for a little awhile. It makes things clearer at the end of the day." Hearing her own question fired back at her caused a small smirk to form, she was right this wasn't her place at all. She couldn't stop the amused thought of what Reminy would think if she found her down her. Having never pictured herself in a place like this either.
" Well like I said we all want to get lost sometimes, your right this is not a place I would normally come to at all,It doesn't seem like a type of place you would like either. I just wanted something different to see if I would like anything I saw." Their was some truth in that, but what she really wanted tonight was to find easy prey , but that didn't seem to be happening. While she was enjoying the tempting woman in front of her,she had a feeling she would be harder to fool then most. So maybe a night of pleasant conversation would be exactly what she wanted.

She had resigned herself to a night of attempting to get drunk but being unable to and thwarting unwanted advances. Certainly not an ideal way to spend an evening, but Ella had thought it was better than accidentally running into Darien again. Fate seemed to think it was funny to throw the two together when both wanted anything other than that. There was no point in tempting fate to do that yet again. Hanging out in a place like this only helped lower the chances of that happening yet again and why not lower the odds if Ella could do so?
Still, it didn’t mean she was excited about the prospects of her night either; it just happened to be the lesser of two evils. The demon couldn’t say she had been expecting to have a conversation with anyone in this bar, especially not a conversation of the civil variety. And yet she was having one. She didn’t trust the woman who had come and talk to her, simply because Ella never trusted anybody with any sort of ease, but she was still a nice distraction. Besides, Gabriella was hoping that talking with this woman would act as more of a deterrent to anyone who tried to bother either of them. It was easier to harass someone when they were alone. Two people took too much effort, especially for the drunken variety here.
And the conversation was harmless enough, so Ella didn’t have to worry herself too much. Despite the initial prying of the woman’s question, everything else had seemed to be of a rather neutral tone. Gabriella could do this. She didn’t often like participating in small talk, mostly because she wasn’t always the biggest fan of talking to strangers, but in this case she thought it was a good thing. Maybe a little but more beer would help her out with the small talk though, and keep her from sounding so nasty. She had already been a number of beers in before this woman showed up, and Ella knew if she drank enough, it could make her loosen up just a bit. Finishing up the last of her beer, Gabriella waved to the bartender and then turned to the woman again.
“Yeah, I actually have,” Ella said, answering her question with a small half smile. She had accomplished what she had set out to do tonight. With the amount Ella had had to drink coupled with the fact that she had been worrying more over the other patrons and what they might do than other issues in her life. She had said she never wanted to be a sloppy drunk, but just the right amount of beer would keep her in a lighter mood and would keep her mind cloudy enough to not wander into other topics she didn’t want to think about. She was getting lost alright, at least for tonight.
It would seem the other woman was on a similar mission, at least from her answer to Ella’s question. The demon wondered what the woman was trying to get lost from too, but she wasn’t going to question and show a personal interest. Gabriella tried to avoid that the best she could. Start showing some sort of interest into someone’s life and the next thing you knew, they wanted to be best friends or something. She definitely wasn’t aiming for that. But for sake of continuing the small talk, Gabriella felt like she should comment on at least one thing the woman had said back to her. “Well have you liked anything you’ve seen so far?” Ella asked, glancing over her shoulder to survey the other people in the bar. She couldn’t imagine this would be the type of place you would want to meet people at, but who knew?
