we posed to be something that we're not Lana was really not a fan of these massive dinner parties, but it seemed like it was a big deal to her parents. Every once in a while, her mum and dad would have a weekend at home together, and instead of spending time with their children, namely Lana, they threw these gatherings that she felt more than uncomfortable at. But she was a Cavano, she was expected to mingle and look pretty, say intelligent things and provide people with future plans which she didn't have. Talking to her was a disappointment compared to Jocelyn and Adam. She stood in front of the mirror, running a hand down her cream coloured dress, feeling like a fake as she must preferred to wear simple jeans and shirts, but her mother would have none of it. She loved her parents, she really did, but she hated the expectations and obligations she had for being a Cavano. But that was Lana's major flaw, wanting to do anything and everything to please her mother and father, say the right things, even want the right things which she may not want herself but knew that her parents would want of her.
Brushing some stray hair off her face a little, Lana straightened her shoulders, because she knew she was already late to descend, and she would have to keep the guests company. She put on a smile on her face, knowing her cheeks would ache by the end of the night, as well as he feet in the unnecessarily high shoes. Yes, she complained a lot, but as long as she kept it in her head there was no harm in thinking such thoughts. She walked down the stairs, there were a few people milling about with champagne glasses in their hands, and the sight was really tedious. She was eighteen now, so she picked up her own glass. Yes, the age for drinking in this country was twenty-one, but she was hardly going to make a bad impression with a glass of champagne. She spotter her parents, and acknowledged them by walking over. She gave them both a kiss on the cheek. "Are Adam and Jocelyn not here yet?" She enquired curiously, as they were both here usually on time. "Not yet, honey, but they'll be here soon." Her mother assured her and Lana nodded, looking around at the people.
She could hear soft piano music playing, but the sounds of murmurs and people conversing were louder than the sound of chords. Pity, Lana enjoyed piano music. With another smile, she left her parents to talk to some fancy looking people. She really wished she could have invited Jasmine and Rory, but that was not possible as they both were busy. The traitors. It meant that she knew none of these people, no matter if they had or not had been here before. Blowing out a soft sigh, Lana didn't want to spend a second longer in this establishment, feeling really hot, she headed to the door of the balcony. She needed fresh air, and she knew that dinner would not be served for a long time. She had only been walking around for twenty-minutes and she has already had enough. She was really just trying to avoid questions.
In moments like these, she wished that she smoked, if only to have something to do with her hands and her mouth. None the less, she shivered a little as she leaned onto the banister of the balcony, green eyes taking in the view of their massive back garden. Who even needed so much space? She knew when she finished school and got a job that she would move away to a much smaller house. She had been to visit Jocelyn, and for a wedding planner, she lived in a mansion. Taking a sip of her drink, she felt goosebumps cover her flesh from the cold air, but this was much better than what was going on inside. She had basically ignored mostly everyone, skipping over faces and just being in her own little world, she assumed that her parents wouldn't appreciate her being rude.
notes: hehe so fletcher should get some fresh air too ;DD or something.

fletcher liked parties, but dinner parties were an exception. he didn't like having to sit still for so long during the actual food part - a lot of the ones recently were more sit down style rather than buffet - but he did like talking to new people. his parents hadn't been taking him to many worthy 'dinner parties' recently, though. mostly, it had just been his parents dragging him off - he was the eldest and their only son, after all - during a business dinner or something. those were terrible - there was no one to talk to! there were only ever boring old people, and that was never any fun. tonight's party was exciting fletcher, though. his parents had guaranteed him that there would be other people around his age there this time - always a plus! - and that they would almost all be supernaturals. he felt a little bad for evelyn; she had practically begged their parents to let her go, but they wouldn't budge. she was only fourteen, and letting her to somewhere like that? something bad was bound to happen, and these ellis's weren't willing to take that risk. they had gotten to the house a little after the official party had started. fletcher stayed by his parents' side for a while - he was mostly there because he was being showed off, though he didn't understand why he was really something to show off - but quickly left them. he didn't want to be with his parents all night! looking around, fletcher noticed that there weren't really that many people that looked around his age in the room. he frowned a bit and picked up something to nibble on, not paying much attention to what it was. it only took the firetamer about ten minutes to start feeling stuffy. too many people in such a small amount of space . . . okay, the place wasn't small, but he still wanted some room to himself. he had been wondering where to go to get out of this predicament when he noticed someone alone, on the balcony. she looked like she was around his age - well, from what he could tell of her, that is - and what harm would it do? she was all alone out there. everyone needed a bit of company, right? with that resolve, fletcher straightened his tie and made his way outside to join the girl. the chill that came over him caused him to shiver, but it was something he could easily get used to with the fire that ran through his veins. he cupped his hands over his mouth and nose, blowing a small bit of fire to get his hands to stay warm. the male made his way to the girl and leaned against the railing, a few feet from her. " lots of people here, hm? " he asked, trying to start some light conversation. we posed to be something that we're not The fresh air coursed down her throat and into her lungs, and she enjoyed every second of it. It was much much better than the room inside, where she was forced to talk to people who were twice her age. 'Oh Lana, you're doing so well at school right? Follow right in your siblings footsteps!' and 'All the boys must be falling over their feet for you, have you got a boy yet, darling?" Lana shuddered at the thought, and it made her aggravated. She could never be as successful as Adam and Jocelyn, who finished with A's in school. She was more talented at art, and she had more street smarts than book smarts. And the boy issue ... well, that wasn't something she even wanted to think about, since her lips tingled when she thought about kissing girls not boys. But she knew, that eventually, to please her father, she'd ave to get married and have kids. The brunette hated it when there were so many expectations of her, but she was a pleaser. You could even say a pushover to some extent when it came to her family. She sighed, leaning forward on the edge of the balcony, her eyes looking over their large garden. Some of the lights really did look pretty.
However, it seemed like Lana was startled out of her reverie with the sound of the door opening. She turned back to see who had come out to join her, and her eyes widened a little because ... well, usually it was unusual to have anyone near her age at one of the dinner parties, unless she invited Rory and Jasmine. She smiled at the boy who she's never laid her eyes on before, watching as he blew on his hands, and she had to admit that it was somewhat cold. Even with some fire in her own veins, Lana enjoyed the chill. She preferred it over overly hot days. Which was why spring was her favourite season, it was not too warm and not too cold, the least rainy season too, and a warm breeze often flew by. She appreciated things like that. Rubbing her neck a little timidly, she watched as the boy moved to stand next to her, and shifted her body so she was facing him.
A soft smile graced her lips when he spoke, and she nodded her head. Lots of people. None that she cared about. "Um, yeah ... my mother likes to go overboard." She laughed a little, her green eyes glinting a little with mirth as she took in his half smart half casual attire, and she decided that she liked it. "Lots of people, but no company for me." She complained light heartedly, and she supposed that he'd understand her, if only because he was the only one apart from her, so young here. With a small shrug, as if it didn't matter, Lana smiled a little brighter and stuck her hand out for him to shake. She didn't know what caused her to do it, but she figured it could be a polite thing to do. "I'm Lana, I'm guessing you came here for an escape yourself?" She chuckled, of course it could only be an assumption, but he was free to decline it or affirm it. It felt nice, to not have to be alone with a house full of people. Even though she was used to that, the atmosphere was clear and the small silences weren't awkward. She just hoped that the boy felt the same way and would not go running. He seemed a similar age to her, and she wondered why she hadn't seen him before. Maybe he went to a different school?

fletcher never really knew why he always loved to talk to people. he just knew that when he saw someone that was by themselves, or a person that was just looking down, he was drawn to them. it was like he was the positive end of a magnet being drawn to anything that could be remotely negative. sure, that's a cheesy comparison, but it was pretty accurate. he had always been drawn to those that looked like they needed some sunshine. well, there were always a few exceptions . . . but that couldn't be helped. sometimes there were circumstances that lead to him not being able to be friendly towards a person. it wasn't a pleasant thought, knowing he was ever mean to a person, but it was the truth. it was his strange urge, though, that had lead him to the girl standing outside. she was by herself when there were a lot of people to socialize with inside. well . . . there weren't many people that were worth talking to, but there were still people! fletcher didn't like some of the others there - they would comment about his hair, which even now was standing every which way, or say he's not like his cousins or that he should start planning his life - but quite a few of them were good company. it was nice being treated like an adult sometimes. key word: sometimes. as much as he liked being treated his age, fletcher would really just love to act like a little kid. the firetamer looked over at the girl as she spoke, smiling politely. he tried to get a good look at her while she was speaking; she was really pretty. her outfit wasn't outrageously over the top like some of the others - which was greatly appreciated - and was, overall, adorable. " yeah, parents do that sometimes . . . especially when they have money. geez, you'd think the world would end sometimes if they didn't have a big party, " he added to her comment, laughing softly. fletcher nodded in understanding, looking down at his hands as he idly messed with various parts of it. " no company for you? none at all? you wound me, " he teased, looking back up at her with the slightly goofy grin that people had grown to know him by. " lana? pretty name. lana . . . short and sweet! 'm fletcher, but you can call me fletch, or whatever nickname that suits your fancy. and kinda, but kinda not. i saw you out here and you looked kinda lonely, so i thought maybe i'd come out here and see if you wanted to talk or something, " he answered truthfully. fletcher knew it would have been easier - and perhaps a little less weird - if he had just said he had wanted some air, but that wasn't true. he had wanted to see if she wanted company. " so, lana, " he wanted any excuse to say her name, " tell me something about yourself. "[notes] pretty good for slightly brain dead |D [outfit hurr] <div class="stylediv" title="font-family%3A%20%27Open%20Sans%20Condensed%27%2C%20sans-serif%3B%20font-size%3A12px%3B%20text-transform%3A%20uppercase%3B%20text-align%3A%20right%3B" >thanks![/style]

we posed to be something that we're not Lana couldn't help but return Fletcher's laugh as he spoke about parents, and she was pleasantly surprised that someone understood her so well. And really, his laugh seemed like it was one of those contagious ones that you couldn't help but mimmick. "Right?" She agreed, a bring grin on her face. Honestly, she hadn't expected to smile much tonight, maybe the forced pleasant smile whenever she'd be forced into conversation that her sister knew. But she liked that there was at least someone her age here. "At first I though big parties were exciting, now they're getting tedious." She scrunched up her nose, words flowing out of her lips easily. "Plus, you're always dressed in monkey clothes. I like dresses as much as the next person, but my sister always go over the top." She rolled her eyes a little, because really, Jocelyn had an ... out there style. Her dressed were expensive and made a statement, meant to show off her wealth. Lana was more under the radar girl, and she didn't envy Jocelyn's attention. Of course, she was jealous of her sister sometimes, Lana was like a little duck next to her, everyone would always pay attention to her over Lana, but over time, she had gotten used to it.
Lana rolled her eyes a little teasingly at his next words. She had to admit that they were getting on well, like they hit it off from the moment he walked outside. It was refreshing, and Lana would certainly embrace it. "It's hard to say yet ..." She grinned at him, and leaned against the railing of the balcony. "What are your feelings of hanging out with old people over people your own age?" She tilted her head. Really, from the outside Lana might seem solemn a lot of the time, hard to approach, quiet. But here, there wasn't anyone in her family to put her down. She was sure that Fletcher wouldn't be asking her about school or what she wanted to do in the future, and even if he did, she doubted that he would judge her. He seemed as young as her, she was sure that he wouldn't know what he wanted to do with his life either. Maybe his parents had expectations of him too, after all, he was at a snobby dinner party. She wasn't afraid to admit that it was snobby, and that she didn't really want any part of it. "I would have had company of my friends hadn't ditched me, some friends they are ... but looks like it's make a new friend day." She chuckled and licked her lips absent mindedly, her green coloured eyes facing towards the glass doors where the party was going on.
"It's a pleasure Fletcher." She said, sticking out her hand to shake as if it was a business transaction, but not really. She was just polite, and why the hell not? "Ah yeah, I actually like my name. My sister is called Jocelyn, thank God my mother had brains to call me Lana." She laughed and grinned lightly at Fletcher. "Hm, I could call you spiderman, you kinda look like that guy from that new movie." She mused and eyed him innocently, really not meant to offend, just some light hearted comments. And he did say she could call him whatever she pleased. Lana shook her head when he said she looked lonely. "It's always like this when my parents decide to throw one of these stupid parties, never anyone my own age, and the old people ask awkward questions. It's a pleasant surprise to see you here though." She nodded pleasantly, because she really was glad that he was here. Of course, she didn't know him well at all, but she could get to know him, would make this whole evening so much less tedious. Lana was glad to see someone close to her age, it made her feel less alone in a house full of fake air.
Something about herself? Really, Lana was not that interesting. There were things about her that she didn't want to tell anyone, and the other things were less than interesting. Literally, the excitement in her life had ended with Rory and Jasmine dragging her out to a concert of a band she couldn't even remember the names of. She almost flushed at the memory of that night, and the girl she'd met. Jamie her name had been. But she always reminded herself of what was expected of her. "Well, I like sunsets and long walks on the beach ..." She said in the kind of voice that dating ads usually put on, clearly teasing with a smile that played around her naturally pouty lips, crossing her arms a little as a cold breeze flew past. Really, she wished she had at least brought a cardigan out. "Just kidding, but I am really rather boring, my idea of a good time is visiting the local art museum. Though I do wish I had a talent for it myself." She told him, her mind on the dating ad she did a second ago. Looking at Fletcher, she was amused to think that he'd be the kind of person that her father would approve of. Ha. "How about you? You must have something way more interesting than that to share." She smiled kindly at him.

i'm waiting some some kind of miracle [atrb=border,0,true] [style=width: 250px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto] it didn't take fletcher long to decide that he really liked lana's laugh and smile.yeah, people always complimented fletcher on his own, but he wasn't a fan of it; other people's laughs and smiles, though, he loved. she was so pretty, too, and that smile just brightened her up immensely. he gave a nod to what she said, understanding all of it quite well. he was his parents' only boy, and the eldest child, so he was used to being paraded around like some show toy. he didn't really mind, though, since it kept his parents happy. " big parties stopped being exciting after i was ten, i think. i mean, i like being around people and all, but i can't usually be me around most people. " he said, being sure to add the 'most' in, smiling at lana.
fletcher made a 'pft' noise when she mentioned wearing monkey clothes and dresses. if she thought wearing dresses got tedious, she should try wearing something like fletch had to! " you're lucky you can wear a dress. if it's cold, you put on some tights or something, and a jacket. if it gets hot, you just wear the dress. if i get hot, i have to suck it up and hope i don't get all nasty, " he said with a laugh. fletcher liked having these giant parties inside - or at least during the colder seasons - but there were a few times his parents made him go to one that was outside in the middle of summer. seriously, who ever thought that would be a good idea? it was hot and sticky from the humidity, and he had ended up begging his parents to let him wear a dress and pretend to be his sister that hit some freaky growth spurt. needless to say, it didn't work.
the firetamer jokingly thought about the question of hanging out with old people over ones his age, giving it a loud hum as he did so. " y'know, i think it's about a tie. i mean, i like people my age and all, but sometimes it's refreshing to talk to people that are fifty or sixty years older than me. broaden my horizons by talking about things i have no clue about, y'know? " he said with a bit of a laugh, obviously joking. fletcher figured she understood he was joking; it was really awkward when people took him seriously. fletcher wasn't a very serious guy, but when he was, it was pretty obvious. for the most part, though, he really just liked making people laugh and smile and be happy - something that a serious person just couldn't do.
" aww, whaa? your friends ditched you? that's lame. they're lame, " he laughed a little. " heck, every day is make a new friend day! " fletcher declared, leaning against the railing. to the ellis, every day truly was make a new friend day; he never passed up on the opportunity to make friends, even if they weren't going to speak to each other again. well, he hoped he would speak to lana again, but a majority of the time they met once, became friends, and parted ways. he'd made friends in the grocery store before, on random walks, or just being out and about. it was easy for him to talk to people, which was what made making friends so easy.
seeing her put her hand out, he straightened up and took her hand in his, semi - mockingly (of course, not mocking her. though) giving the back of her hand a kiss. " the pleasure is all mine. " fletcher let her hand go soon after, smiling. hell, when wasn't he smiling, really? " your sister's name is jocelyn? " he questioned, eyebrow arched. " heh, kinda rhymes with my sister's. evelyn. but jocelyn isn't such a bad name. i mean, you can play around a lot with nicknames. joce, jocey, cc, jo, uh . . . lyn. cel. i think that's it. " he thought for a little more to see if he could get another nickname to pop up, but none did. it was a pretty hard name to come up with a good nickname for, but it was easier than fletcher. okay, seriously, other than 'fletch', what nicknames could he possibly have? exactly.
fletcher let out a bit of a laugh as he leaned with his back against the railing, hands supporting him. " spiderman, peter parker - either works. " it wasn't new, being told that he looked like andrew garfield. fletcher took it as a compliment; andrew was a pretty darn attractive guy, and peter's character actually reminded fletch a lot of himself. " yeah, my parents tend not to invite many people around my age over, either. the best thing i get is my cousins, but pretty much all of them keep to each other. i try getting in and they usually push me aside or something. " he said with a shrug. the only person in his family that really liked talking to him all the time was calan, which was probably because they were allowed to share rooms in the hospital most of the time.
he let out a laugh at her making fun of dating sites. " do you also like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain? " the firetamer listened to lana speak, nodding a bit to show he was listening. " for one, you don't seem boring. and i'm sorry i don't have a jacket or anything to lend you. i mean, i could take my shirt off, but that might be taken the wrong way if someone saw, " he quickly apologized. fletcher really did wish he had something to make her less cold other than- . . . fire. smart, fletcher. " actually, i have something. c'mere, " he grinned and turned so he was facing away from the crowd of people inside. there was no one out in front of them, so he was in the clear. when she came up to him, he scooted a little closer to her and held his close between them, palm up, as a bit of fire started in his palm. he let it grow so that it would be at a comfortable temperature and let it sit there.
okay, so normally this would be seen as something really stupid to do, but in fletcher's mind, it had to be safe. his parents brought him here, and his parents hated humans; they wouldn't go to a human party. if these people weren't humans, they had to know about supernaturals and approve, and also know that there was a part of the ellis clan here. " but, uh, as far as interesting things with me, there's this, obviously. i play guitar and can sing a bit. and i, uh. visit the hospital whenever i can. " okay, so that last part was only half true, but it wasn't a lie! he couldn't just come out and say he didn't know if he was going to die anytime soon or not and that he went to the hospital a lot because of his own issues. he'd let her take it any way she wanted, but if directly asked, he'd be honest. after all, only jerks lied directly.

we posed to be something that we're not Lana was so glad that Fletcher had decided to grace the Cavano residence on this day, that this dinner party wasn't sucking as much if he weren't here. She could relate to him, and he could to her, plus, he was her age and this instantly lifted up her mood. Made her smile more, smile bigger, the natural laugh lines on her face brightening up her whole essence. The brunette nodded at the boy's words, sighing softly in agreement. "It's all for appearances and I hate it. All the expectations." She spoke softly, her eyes looking in through the glass door as she saw all the people milling about. Drinking a drink of their choice and talking things that one day would have to interest Lana. She hoped that it wouldn't come to working for her family, she wanted a life as much as Jocelyn and Adam had. "Sometimes I just want to be spiteful and bad." She laughed at her own words because, well, that would never happen. She was an obedient daughter, and it would stay that way. Lana smiled at the 'being me' comment, looking up to meet Fletcher's eyes. He was quite a bit taller than her. "It's alright, I can't be me around anyone." She didn't say 'most' because if people knew her preference for liking girls, she'd never be the perfect daughter in the image that she was seen. "Two misfits trying to fit in, huh?" She mused, a sparkle behind her cat coloured eyes.
Lana appreciated Fletcher's jokey nature, and turned to face him as he spoke of wearing clothes in all kinds of weather. She did think about that and figured that he was right, yet the way he said it made her laugh. It seemed like this boy had an easy way of making her laugh. "You could always just strip naked, though that may be bad for the image of your family." She teased, a low blush gracing her cheeks because she barely ever spoke of people being naked with such ease and that seemed to be brought out in her. She decided that she really liked Fletcher. "Dresses are uncomfortable most of the time, sometimes you shift wrong, and sometimes there's wind so the dress blows up. Guys aren't the only ones who suffer." The girl nods her head, and eyes him. "You don't have to wear a sweater over your shirt, you could just wear the blazer. Or just the sweater." She offered, eyeing his outfit and shrugging like she didn't know. Just because she was a girl, didn't mean that fashion was her thing. If she could, she'd only wear jeans and t-shirts all the time, they were certainly more comfortable and practical. But she was cursed into this family that she, beyond anything, wanted to please.
Lana's eyebrow quirked up at the 'tie'. She could tell he was joking, but it was still an amusing thing to play along to. "Ahhh, I see. I mean, if you're into that kind of thing. Some even have stories that make sense." She grinned before looking over the balcony railing and into their impressive garden. Jocelyn had been the one who designed it, she had a penchant for such a thing, which was why she became a wedding planner. Lana did admire her work, she was even jealous of her sister. "I really hope you're not wishing you were with someone sixty years older than you right now, that would certainly bruise my ego." She said, teasingly, glancing at the boy beside her. She liked being there, but her body felt restless, as it always did when in a single position too long. Which was why she was shifting so much. "Walk in the garden with me?" She asks, wanting to move, and walking they could still talk. But she'd wait for Fletcher to agree first, though he was certainly free to disagree if he so wanted. When Lana mentioned that she was ditched by her friends, his reaction made her pretend to be a sad little puppy, pouting and looking all butt hurt. "Yes, because they can't stand these things as much as me. Yet I am left alone to suffer." She admits and shrugs. "Not ever event there is a new friend to meet, but I'm glad I found a friend in this one." Her voice was full of honesty, and Lana was really starting to think of Fletcher as a friend, even if they haven't known each other for long at all. They were still practically strangers, but well on their way. "And your friends? Do they ditch you in times of need?" She asks, not wanting to pry, but was interested.
Lana had only put out her hand for a manly handshake, but of course she should have been expecting the kiss. It made her giggle and give him a look. "I like the fact that you know how to treat a lady." It was a subconscious flirtation, one that she didn't realise she was saying, but she did honestly like that he knew how to treat a woman. It was flattering. Speaking about her sister didn't make her as uneasy as it usually did, simply because she wasn't being compared to her, but she was merely referencing her name. It was refreshing, and she shrugged. "I just call her Jocelyn, but it's not the best name ever given to a person. Hard to spell, get's butchered a lot. No going wrong with some names." She smiles and thinks. "And I don't have all kinds of weird nicknames either, it's hard to do that with such a simple name." She beamed, actually ecstatic about the fact that she was able to be free of name taunts. Not that she did anything to get taunted, she was from a big ass, powerful family and people wanted to kiss up to her and not mock her. After the incident at prom, and her kissing that girl, there were rumours about her. Bad rumours that she had to squash away, and Lana genuinely thought she should get a boyfriend just to make people forget she ever kissed a girl. She blamed it on the alcohol, even if she hadn't really been drinking at all.
She smirked at him agreeing to the spiderman comment, and really, he was an awesome superhero and the actor really was attractive. As was Fletcher. "Got any superhero powers, Mr. Spiderman?" She asks, chuckling a little and eyes him. But then his words turn to a more serious subject, and her eyes warm because she understands. Being alone within a big family, she really does. Lana places a hand over his and looks up to him. "Hey. Come on now. Family has a tendency of not appreciating what they have." She tells him, offering him a reassuring smile. "But they're fools to push you aside. You're an awesome guy." And he really was, there was nothing but honesty in Lana's tone, and even though they hadn't known each other long, she felt confident that she could say these things and they were accounted for. However, Lana's laughter was musical as he went along with the dating site shaming, and she grinned. "Mm, definitely. Sunset kisses and summer romances." She shakes her head as she speaks of almost every teenage fantasy. She didn't know how real they were, since she's never really had a fantasy of something like that herself, but it was still amusing.
She smiled as he said he didn't have anything to keep her warm with, yet she didn't mind. She shook her head. "Keep your clothes on, big guy, I can very well keep warm." She tilts her head when he does say he has something. The 'c'mere' has her coming closer, and her eyes are on his extended hand and she grins at the fire that rises. "That is a beautiful fire." She tells him, but Lana herself was a firetamer, witch hybrid, and although she was stronger on the magic, the firetaming she had been practising on. "This is certainly interesting, I'm half of what you are, you know." She tells him softly, her hands cupping his his, fingers skimming near the fire and they were so close, so she was speaking in a much quieter manner. "Half firetamer, half witch." That would explain why her eyes weren't violet. "I'm not very talented at the firetamer side." She shrugs, meeting his eyes and her eyes brighten at the guitar part. "That's really great! Do you just play for yourself, or have you even played for an audience?" She asks, genuinely interested in Fletcher and his life. He was interesting, he was a potential new friend and Lana liked that. The hospital part also had her looking at him with curiosity. "Oh, volunteering? Or visiting? Or something else?" She asks, no judgement in her eyes, just wanting to know really. Lana took the smallest step closer, to him, to the fire.
