Addie was never a sheltered and quiet girl when she was younger. She used to be bubbly, talkative, and such a people person. Throughout her childhood, that changed. After a rage outbreak, Addie shut down. and crawled into her own shell and shut out anyone and everything. Shortly after the discovery that she was different, she was ostracized by almost everyone. Now, she doesn't mind being how she is. She knows it's a change and a step down but she's comfortable this way.

Addie is comfortable being quiet, harmless, and an introvert. She has her reasons for her change like other people have for theirs. If you're lucky, Addie will let you in a bit and you'll get to know her and some of her past. Addie is a giving person, she gives mainly because she has a guilty conscience and think she owes. All in all, Addie comes off as a well put together woman but deep down she's pretty torn up and trying to prevent her anger from showing.

Addie was born to her mother Jasline in Italy where she also lived with her older brother, Peter, and eldest sister Samantha. After Addie was born, their mother almost immediately moved the family to the states. It didn't bother Addie much that her father wasn't in the picture but It did bother Peter who was constantly being punished by their mother for searching for him. Their mother kept it a secret that she was a mermaid even when Samantha discovered she was one. At eighteen, Samantha left home to dodge the way she was being treated. Peter was the odd one out for he was just a human and he wasn't too fond of this..

When the discovery was made that Addie was a mermaid, she knew she'd have to follow the path of her older sister who was the same. Addie's mother and older brother had somewhat turned on her, her brother the most. They were close and Addie being the baby sister led Peter to believe he was to protect her from the other species. That was before he knew she was one of them. Her older brother Peter, who vowed to protect her, turned on her when he discovered she was just another "freak".

Angered at her brother and sister for abandoning her, Addie took a turn for the worst. She noticed her anger issues worsened and she did nothing to control it. Last year, when Peter and Samantha finally came back home, The three siblings got into a heated argument. Addie finally snapped, all the anger she had bottled up had broken through her. She hit her sister, knocking her out and when Peter tried to restrain her, Addie broke away and ran. Peter chased her down into their family's back yard which had a pool. Addie was tackled by Peter and they both fell in. Addie, being a mermaid, was stronger and Peter was no match for her. She drowned him and she doesn't regret it. Addie felt he had what was coming but Samantha and her mother didn't feel that way. After the incident, Addie ran away. Her sister Samantha is full of pure hatred for her and has been attempting to track her down.
