OVERALL
Known as the idealist of the Ellis clan, Asher is often looked down upon by his family. While he has many of the same personality traits as his siblings - charming, smooth talker, handsome, arrogant, and clever - he is not readily cruel. By no means is Asher a sappy, goody two-shoe hippy who promotes peace, though he could've been had his kind heart not been shoved deep inside of him as a child. He was taught that all of those feelings were weak. However, Asher has a compassionate and gentle side, something that had been nurtured by his mother without his father’s knowledge. On top of that, Asher is stubborn, driven and passionate. He sets high expectations for himself and others and is very intolerant of his own mistakes. He experiences an inner turmoil that is slowly tearing him apart. Asher is impatient and hot-headed. The young man knows that the view his family holds about humans is not right. In order to do what would please his father, Asher has to compromise his own conscious. Such conflict torments him everyday and has led to anger issues. It isn’t uncommon for Asher to lash out at people and it isn’t hard to set the kid off. What is difficult is getting him to settle down.
Asher is forced to hide such inner conflict both from his family and from the humans he goes to school with. Around humans, Asher comes of as standoffish and snobby. He seems to only get along with certain groups of people (most of whom are also mythological creatures) and makes fun of others. While he seems cool and collected, Asher is also that one kid you do not want to mess with. He blows up easily over small things, which has resulted in one too many fights. It’s fair to say that there is a number of people who are afraid of him. Asher always gets out of them unpunished because his father is able to, one way or another, convince the authority figure to do so. He often pushes people away when they try to get to know him or help him with his problems, though that doesn't mean that there aren't a few people that Asher loves and trusts absolutely. They are people he would do anything for, even lay down his.

OVERALL
The Ellis clan is one of the most notorious ancestry lines in firetamer history. The clan itself is comprised of many families who bear the surname, as well as others who follow the same ideals. They are strong, powerful, wealthy, and cruel. Held firmly in their beliefs, it is most likely - thought not a proven fact - that the Ellis clan was one of the main catalysts for the ongoing war.
Enter Conley Ellis, the youngest of the Ellis family, but not necessarily the weakest. He was charming and clever, both of which masked his cruelity.Called the most cunning out of his brothers, Conley slowly worked his way into the position of his father’s favorite son. Through this trait, Conley was also able to win the hand of another powerful firetamer, and Italian beauty by the name of Serafina. By the age of 20, it seemed clear that Conley was to be the head of the Ellis Clan, though his brothers were more deserving. Conley learned the ins and outs of being a firetamer and how to be a leader of the Ellis followers. When Conley’s father passed away, Conley was given not only the family fortune, but control of the clan as well. The older Ellis boys were upset and spoke out against it. Soon after, they began to die from accidents or disappear mysteriously until only Conley was left.
Conley and Serafina went on to having children. The first was Aiden Conley Ellis. From an early age, Aiden had already exhibited traits that mirrored his fathers – cool, calm, handsome, and clever. It was clear that Conley was proud of his son. Serafina – who was somewhat softer than Conley – was horrified. A few years later, the couple had another child, this one a daughter by the name of Calida Bree. Calida turned out to be a true Ellis as well, though arguably more cruel than Aiden. Conley couldn’t believe his luck; he had two perfectly capable children who could take his place if needed. Asher came as a surprise for Conley and Serafina, though he wasn’t necessarily an unpleasant one. One more heir couldn’t hurt anything.
Aiden, Calida, and Asher were raised with the notion that human beings were nothing, meant only for slaves of more powerful creatures. Even other mythological beings were inferior to firetamers, thought that was another battle. Aiden and Calida had no problem accepting such ideals. Asher was the one who questioned the Ellis lifestyle, though never voiced those opinions. He often fell behind his sister and brother. Asher was seen as a disappointment by his father, even though he had attempted to live the way his father wished.
Now the war has started and Asher is forced to choose a side. His family, as well as his whole clan, has aligned themselves with the darker side. Expected to do so, Asher has also joined it. He doesn’t believe in what they’re fighting for, feeling as though its wrong even though it’s the same ideals he’s followed all his life. The question is, does he have the courage to go against his family?

RP SAMPLEWhat was he doing here? The thought kept repeating itself in the young man’s head. What the hell was he thinking? He really should be careful about when he got drunk, and who he was around when in such a state. That was mistake number one. Never get drunk around highly persuasive people. Especially people you just met. Yet that was exactly what Tristan had done. The first night he had been in Providence, Tristan thought it might be nice to go to a bar. Cool off a bit, relax after so much travel. And that was where he had met Chet. Chet was a good guy, at least from as much as Tristan could recall from his drunken memory. Easy to talk to, fun to be around.
At some point during that night, Chet had mentioned knowing this really great girl. Thought that she and Tristan might hit it off. Even went as far as saying he could set the two up. The way Chet talked, the fact that he was so enthusiastic about this plan, convinced Tristan to go along with it. Sure, why not? Anything seemed possible at that moment. Everything was alright. One date wouldn’t kill Tristan. So he gave the guy his mobile number, telling him to call when everything was set up.
It wasn’t until the next morning, when Tristan woke up in the billionth hotel room with a splitting headache, that he realized what a horrible idea this was. Tristan didn’t date. Not that he had anything against it, but he had been out of the game for a year. And he was really no good at it, seeing as how his brain liked to turn to mush and he could never think of things to say. Or worse, he’d blurt out stupid, random, or awkward things. The young man thought about canceling, searching for Chet’s number to tell him to call the whole thing off. Except, Tristan had forgotten to get that from him. The thought hadn’t even crossed his mind. And by the time Chet had called Tristan, well, the whole thing was already in motion. Tristan couldn’t just write the girl off without giving her a chance.
So that was why he was stuck at this bowling alley. It smelled of stale smoke and cheap beer, filled with sounds of people talking and laughing, of bowling balls striking pins. It really wasn’t the ideal location for a blind date. Though maybe that was for the better; if the date started off bad, then maybe it’d end early. That was a bad thought. He should be thinking positive, yet that was hard for him. Instead, Tristan found himself running a hand through his blond hair, messing it up even more than it had been. He felt like a dork, sitting there in his Batman tee and those horrible bowling shoes. Should he have dressed up more than this? Yeah, he should’ve. Should’ve planned better than just grabbing some clothes that looked clean. The guy had no idea what was required, how formal this date should be. It was in a bowling alley, after all. Tristan glanced at his watch for the fortieth time as he paced around the alley, reminding himself that she wasn’t late, he was just extremely early.
