human. 25 to 27. single mother.
So this here girly, let's call her M for now, is gonna be my boy Holden's soulmate/final. Before I fill you in on their adorable bit of plottage let me give you a few basic facts about M.[/center]
- She's a single mother of a 5 year old boy
- Is between 25 and 27 years old (up to you)
- Works her butt of to provide for her little boy but is still barely getting by
- Too stubborn/prideful to ask for help from people
- Doesn't know anything about the supernatural world
M grew up in a loving home in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. Her father was the owner of a large oil drilling company and money was never a worry in their house. She grew up with the best of everything and if she wanted something she got it. Their only child she was spoiled from day one but really wasn't what you would call a brat. Granted she had her moments of temper tantrums and tears but didn't last long. The girl had an independent and stubborn streak in her that often had her proving she could get what she wanted on her own without anyone's help. Still she was used to not wanting or having to really work for most of what she had. Being an only child did have its downfalls though as well and one of them was being somewhat overprotected by both her parents. As she got older their smothering had her wanting nothing more than to get out from under their watchful eyes and be independent. College provided her that exact opportunity and she purposefully chose one out of state, figuring the farther away the better.
She'd always been considered 'the good girl' back home so once she got to college she did everything she could to be the exact opposite. Partying and drinking became an every weekened, all weekend thing. She wouldn't have even made it through her fresheman year unless her parents hadn't stepped in and worked something out with the president of the college. With promises of settling down and concentrating on classes she did better her sophomore year all the way up until after finals. The plan had been to simply go out for drinks to celebrate the end of the semester. One thing led to another, however, and she found herself in a strange bed the next morning, her memories hazy at best. Four weeks later had her staring at a postive pregnancy test and that's when everything had changed. After informing her parents they quickly urged her to get it taken care of as quickly as possible. When M told them she was keeping the baby they threatened her with taking away the monthly allowance they alloted her as well as their payment of her college tutition. Though they likely thought that would make her change her mind it simply hardened her resolve to prove she could do it on her own without their help.
And she did. Dropping out of school she moved to a small apartment in the city until the baby was born, living off of the remaining money in her own personal savings account. Once that was almost gone the baby, a little boy (we'll call him G), was almost a year old and she was able to put him in daycare and work. It wasn't easy. Some weeks they barely made it by but she did whatever she needed to provide a good home for her son, even if it wasn't the fanciest. And you couldn't tell by looking at the boy, who was all smiles and full of mischief like any other boy his age. Hearing about the job opportunities in a city called Manuka, M moved them there the summer before G started kindergarten. Without a college degree it was hard to find anything above minimum wage but like usual she made do as best she could. You'd never hear her complain either. She didn't want anyone's pity and wasn't going to beg for their help either. She was strong enough to take care of her son and make it on her own.

So now that you know M and G's story this is pretty much the plan. About a month after G starts kindergarten she gets an unexpected visit from child services saying they had received concerns that G was not being taken care of as well as he should be. So this is where Holden comes in, being a social worker and all he ends up being the one assigned to look into things and make sure whether or not the boy is being cared for like he should or not. He and G really hit it off and in the course of his visits to her house, Holden and M start to form a good friendship (and obvious attraction to one another hehe). Seeing that M takes more than sufficient care of her little boy Holden reports that back to child services and that was supposed to be the end of their investigation. Now this can go one of two ways from here. A) Child services ends up taking G away from M anyway and he gets put into foster care and M and Holden end up fighting to get him back to her or B) G gets kidnapped by supernaturals(for reasons we can plot out at some point) and Holden and M go after him.
I'm really up for either plot or anything else you might be able to come up with or add to it. Obviously throughout this whole time Holden and M have been falling in love and there is plenty of fluff and angst and just all around JFIOSADJFOIASJOASI because I mean, that's the best part. <3 Although I've been calling her M this whole time I really don't mind what you name her. As far as the PB goes I'm pretty much dead set on using the lovely Lindsay Ellingson, though if you want feel free to run suggestions by me for kicks and giggles. I pretty much lined up her basic history but as far as the little details go you can have full creative freedom. I described some basic personality traits for her obviously but other than those feel free to have creative freedom there too just so long as you run her by me in the end. Also this isn't necessarily a first come first serve thing. I need to know you won't make her and then poof a week or two after and that we can rp well together and mesh and such ya know. Otherwise my muse for them will die just like BAM.
