The hybrids are an important part of a supernatural community, and there can be almost any kind of hybrid which you cant think of. However, everything about them must make sense. These characters do give you a lot of free reign; and I say that as long as you can make two species work, them go for it. However, you must also make it realistic to the site. Hybrids might be more powerful, but they are not invincible. Some are born, and some are made, so please consider these aspects when making a hybrid. If the staff do not think you've portrayed a hybrid well enough, or if the history doesn't make sense, we will ask you to tweak your application, so do not be deterred.
Taking into consideration of a member, as well as speaking about this, the staff have decided the following ratios for members in regards to members.
- Upon joining you must first apply with a regular character, a fallen, guardian, etc. Keeping in mind if an angel went against a fallenximmortal hybrid, the guardian would win, due to them being an angel, same thing with demons (new), due to them being a "pure" version of it. Kapeesh? - Once you reach 25 IC posts with your regular character, then you may apply for a hybrid, make sure to list their weaknesses, and their strengths, they're not all powerful. <3 - If you desire to create a second hybrid, then you must have 50 IC posts in each of your accounts. Mind you, this does not affect if you want to create a human or something, then you can create as many regular breeds as you desire.
Here are some examples of hybrids, but certainly not all of them.
Immortal-Human. These will be a rarer breed, as Immortals tend not to have children if they can avoid it, but that if it does happen when an Immortal has a child with a human, this child will end up living to be about 500 years old. They'll stop aging when they please, and then shall remain that age for awhile, so it's best not to mention this till they're well into the 20s, no? They can see auras, but in order to be able to hear thoughts, they must physically be touching the person they want to hear the thoughts of, sometimes it can get in depth too if they hold on long enough. (0/3)
Vampire-Human. Half-human, half-vampire, wonderful right? Not really, like vampires they need to drink blood and they don't get harmed by the sun. But the hybrids are much stronger than normal vampires, just not as fast. No one's sure why as to the way this is, but if it comes between strength of a vampire-human and a vampire, then the hybrid will win. Also, they don't need to drink blood as much, only a minimum of five times a week, normal human food doesn't hurt to eat either. (2/2)
Shapeshifter-Human. Basically, just a shapeshifter, though they can't stay in their animal form as long as normal shifters, though with training they can. Otherwise, the same. (0/4)
Werewolf-Human. With this breed, they will turn on the full moon, and any time that they do shift, they will also be able to keep their human wits about them. Though, they do tend to be slightly smaller than the normal werewolves who were either turned or born that way, but they make up for it by being slightly faster than a normal werewolf, born or created. Plus they get their enhanced senses of sight, smell, touch, etc. In their human form, they get the werewolf strength, but it isn't quite as strong as a normal werewolf, therefore instead of being able to lift a bus, they could lift a Smart Car. (0/3)
Witch-Human. This breed can be quite popular, though with their eyes being purple, this hybrid's eyes can be any shade, from bright green to a dull orange. That's a little quirk with their genetics. Otherwise they do have the skills of a witch, but it will take more training than for a full witch, but once trained and practiced, they will be able to be just as good as any witch/warlock. (0/4)
Guardian Angel-Human. Banned until notice. (0/0)
Fallen-Human. Much like Immortal-Humans, these breeds rarely happen, though this breed will outlive the Immortals to about 1,000 years, once they get past the age of 500, they get slightly stronger than before. Otherwise they're a basic Fallen, and stronger, mainly due to their human blood as well coursing through their veins. Though they don't have scars, this breed cannot be killed by any other breed but a Fallen, as they can heal just as quickly as a Fallen. (0/4)
Faerie-Human. The tricksters with an added twist. Faerie-Humans can be notorious for getting away with things easier, mainly because they can also do quite a bit of damage in their human form and not just their faerie form. This breed can sometimes communicate with the dead, though they can't summon the dead or a specific spirit, if you want to speak to some ghost in a haunted house, this is the species to bring along. (0/3)
Mermaid-Human. A human with a tail. Though when they're born, their tails won't show themselves till the hybrid is of age, no younger than 20 will they first shift, so keep an eye out. Plus, like with mermaids, they can speak to fish when in the water, and sometimes can be known to do it in their human forms as well with this hybrid. (0/4)
Firetamer-Human. A firetamer with a human side. Wonderful. With this, this species can do what firetamers can do, though their own flames can vary in different shades from a yellow to a gold to hints of blue or purple, which are natural colors for hotter flames. Though they don't measure up to a born firetamer, they can certainly hold their own with training. Plus, unlike normal Firetamers that can't really be hurt by another firetamer's flames, hybrids can. (0/4)
Vampire-Immortal. A slightly deadly combination. A vampire-immortal can be killed by a stake or the pressure to the heart, but with this, they have all the strengths of a vampire and an immortal combined into one. Just be careful though, plus like with an immortal-human, a vampire-immortal can only hear thoughts through touch, otherwise they have just the same strengths and weaknesses as their parents. This will rarely happen, as vampires are already immortal to begin with. (0/2)
Werewolf-Immortal. A werewolf that's the same, but this time they can see auras and can't be killed as easily? The only difference is that silver must hit their heart - which is near impossible as they're an immortal offspring, meaning hardly anything can harm them. Just that though when they shift into their werewolf form, they have control just as normal, but in their werewolf form, they're more vulnerable, a silver bullet can kill them still, but as well as any regular bullet. (0/2)
Shapeshifter-Immortal. Much like any breeding with Immortals, this species will be extremely rare. It's basically an Immortal, who can also shift into one other animal, though unlike Immortals, they can be killed easier, by something piercing their heart. One part on their body is human-like, and therfore that one spot can be pierced by anything and the hybrid can be killed. Mind you this spot is generally right in front of the heart, and only about the size of a dollar coin, therefore like a vampire, these can be killed. Otherwise, they must eat and they can be poisoned though, unlike Immortals. Poison one of this species, they can be killed. (0/2)
Witch-Immortal. An immortal able to do magic? Possibly, but these will be rare as witches tend to try to gain immortality and therefore Immortals aren't a fan of them that much. Anyway, this species can maintain their magic through training, though most of the time, their magic lays dormant and only rises in times of panic, stress, etc. Like adrenaline. Doesn't mean they don't get their magic, it just depends on the individual hybrid. They're easier to kill by means of knives, guns, etc like a human being, but they cannot die from illness or poisoning, unless of course they can find a spell. Like Immortals, they can see auras, though can only read thoughts through touch, skin-to-skin. (0/2)
Guardian Angel-Immortal. Unheard of. Ask Izzy if you think you can handle this species. (0/0)
Fallen Angel-Immortal. Rare. Only a few will be allowed. It's basically though just an Immortal and a fallen who had a child, therefore enhancing the child's telepathy from the Immortal side, and that's about it. Can only be killed by an angel. (0/1)
Faerie-Immortal. Rarer breed as well. It's a faerie that's Immortal, though they can be easily killed by metal, and they cannot hear others' thoughts without skin-to-skin contact. (0/2)
Mermaid-Immortal. A mermaid that can't be killed by any means besides being stabbed by metal to the heart? Not sure. Though their tail won't show itself till they turn about 17 or so, this breed is hardly ever heard of. Ask an admin. (0/?)
Firetamer-Immortal. Much like any firetamers, they can control fire, and like Immortals, cannot die - that easily. Firetamer-Immortals can live up to about 1,000 years before they will begin to age normally at the age they stopped aging. So if they stopped at age 28, they will start to age normally after 1,000 years. Get it? They have the perks of not dying from Immortal, and can control flames like their firetamer parent. Don't forget, say if you fight another firetamer, and you can't defend yourself with your own fire, that fire will burn you. Otherwise, you can't die by a regular fire, or anything else pretty much. (0/2)
Witch-Vampire. It's said that if this hybrid is born during the night of a full moon, they will get the strength of a vampire, but not their thirst for blood. Yeah right. This hybrid gains the magical qualities of their witch blood, and like vampires, become immortal after a certain age, unless turned into one. Though this hybrid can survive on animal blood, when they desire to use their magic, their magic is stronger based on their blood diet, but also how long ago they fed. Their eyes turn pitch black when they do magic, or when they get blood-lust, though it doesn't happen often, when it does, it's not that pretty, best to keep them fed, though they can survive easily on human food, they must drink a gallon of blood a month. (0/3)
Shapeshifter-Witch. This breed can often been seen as that they have the witch-like powers, and therefore can make themselves shift into other animals through potions, though they always have one dominant animal form that they can shift into at any time without potions. Unlike a witch-human, they do not need to train for their magic, only just to learn spells. (1/3)
This is a list for now, more will be added periodically as people make them. If you have any questions on a hybrid not listed, please PM me on this account, or if I'm not available, feel free to ask any of the other staff as they'd be happy to help.
