Vlad is a rather shy boy. He doesn’t like to make a spectacle of himself so he tries to stay hidden in the shadows as much as possible. Though he is very much something to look at he doesn’t like telling people what he is. If someone does ask, he only tells them the truth part way, he just states that he is a vampire and not the fact that his mother was a werewolf. Is he proud of the fact? Yes. However some people turn their nose against him either for being a vampire or a werewolf, so when it comes down to it he’ll sometimes say he’s a human. His family love him for who he is though (most of them) so he is grateful to have such a supportive bunch of vampires by his side.

The boy is also very creative. He loves to paint pictures of the weirdest things as well as right stories and what have you. His whole room is covered with his art and some of his special writings. He likes to express himself in silence and the only real way he knows how. His feelings are better spoken when he paints or writes a story. This causes him to be a bit timid when people ask who he is or something, he doesn’t normally give you a straight answer he just shrugs, or awkwardly looks away. He’s never really had many friends, so he doesn’t know what to do when he’s around new people. It’s like something snaps in his brain and he tries to get out of the situation he’s in. So to sum it up, he’s a very shy little mutt.

Some children don’t remember their births. Vlad is the opposite of that, the boy was born to a werewolf and a vampire; something so unnatural that even his father knew something might go wrong as his wife gave birth to their son. His fear came true as his wife died in childbirth, the werewolf giving birth to their little son who was later named Vladimir after the vampire’s father. You could ask the boy now and he would tell you what he saw as he left his mother’s womb, but it isn’t a topic he likes discussing very much. Without a mother, the vampire took it upon himself to raise the boy as a full blooded vampire. He didn’t want the boy to know about his werewolf history, not in spite but for protection now that his wife was gone and unable to teach him. The vampire brought the baby to his home, where the rest of his coven laid and waited for the child. Some wanted to kill the boy, others were happy for their leader. The vampire told the coven that so long as the boy didn’t know anything about his werewolf blood, they would all be safe.

The little boy grew up as a vampire, but a weird one to say the very least. He refused to drink blood from a person for whatever reason but found joy in drinking blood from packets one of his coven sisters brought home for him. It was always warmed up in a cup and they found the boy doing some strange things with the blood, like dunking his cookies in it. So long as he got his blood, they didn’t really mind what he did. They let the boy go to public school with humans since they weren’t concerned that he would pose a threat to them and expose them and for lunch they would give him human food packed with blood. Life seemed so easy for him, like it was simply handed to him. Life however, got a little harder during the full moon. His blood lust was almost impossible to quench. No one in his family could calm him down, he felt like he was going crazy. Then when he was 15 years old, it happened. A full moon night, while he was in a rage he shifted into a werewolf.

No one knew what to do, they were scared for their lives, but they found that giving the boy cups of blood appeased him. Even though Vlad’s father tried to hide it he knew he couldn’t anymore. The next day he told his son what he was. How he was stronger than bother species but also he inherited their weaknesses as well. He was prone to silver as well as a stake, the full moon changed him into a blood thirsty beast, he still needed blood but he could still change into a werewolf. Some of the coven thought it best to kill the boy, one vampire in particular but his vote was over ruled by the rest. They would train the boy, and he would do just fine in this world as a vampire werewolf hybrid.

In the last two years, things have been peaceful for Vlad. Every full moon they would stock up on blood for him, let him shift and just let him be free as much as he could be within reason. He is still not allowed to tell anyone he’s half and half, and the boy is okay with that. For now it would seem that the Dragos Coven is happy and peaceful for once.
