OVERALL
There's no easy way to describe Erik here. Really he was a model in Germany from when he was about 11 years old till he was 19, when he entered college, Oxford University, to be exact. He's very self-disciplined, except when it came to his weight up to about three years ago. He's a quiet guy most of the time, except when he gets to parties. That's when the bad boy/wild side comes out to play. Erik certainly can hold his alcohol and therefore can be labeled as a "functioning alcoholic" when he drinks. Fortunately he doesn't drink all that much but when he does it can get bad if someone's not there to stop him. He's a loyal guy and loathes the thought of ever breaking a promise he's made to someone. Making friends is moderately easy for him as he's laid-back and just goes with the flow with everything. Though quite stubborn, he will rarely admit when he's wrong, even if he and the other person knows he's wrong, he will still stick with it and find some way to at least prove one part of his point. He'd driven and therefore once his mind gets set on something, he won't back down from it till it's either done or he just finds something else better to do. Erik certainly isn't one to back down from a fight and has a bit of a knight-in-shining-armor complex - at least his ego won't get big unless someone gets it to that point, if so - shame on you.

Erik does have a tendency to spend some random times being quiet and just...staring off into whatever. Why you might ask? He suffers from visions once in awhile, therefore he then must put up with it, and he tends to do an all right job at it too. He can still hear someone talking to him, though it can get jumbled with the vision if the vision comes with audio, though sometimes it does and doesn't, just depends. Erik is getting better at the visions, and he deals with them, like he dealt with his eating disorder. Don't mention his weight, Erik is muscular, yes, he swims tons and hikes a lot, though he's very...sensitive about it, as that he had thought he was always fat. Now he's good though, he's got a job he loves and a new place in the States he likes. By the way, he's learning English, so some slang is still lost on this boy.

Oh, and he doesn't really....know supernatural beings exist, even though he is one....

Erik here comes from a long line of witches, and I'm talking about, like one of the first families to be labeled witches back in the early 1200s in Europe. They originated in the Germany-area now, and have since really remained within Germany/France/The Netherlands. Anyway, that's how it is. His grandfather, who was a Nazi - yes - he knows - started to raise his three children that they were just...special, psychics, to protect their long and powerful bloodline. Erik was born between Lucy and Fredi Hirsch, who had married in Munich when they were 24 and 26 years old. The duo were so thrilled to be married, though with Fredi being of the long bloodline, and Lucy being of one traceable to the mid-1500s, they knew this would unite the families for the most part, of witches and warlocks. Needless to say Lucy fell pregnant before Derik, though that ended in a miscarriage and she was devastated. Fredi asked for another, begged the young woman and after a few years she gave in, and soon Derik was born. The entire family was thrilled, and Derik was brought into their lives eagerly, Lucy and Fredi naming him after Fredi's dad, Erik who had been involved with the Nazi party in WWII, though in reality, he had been "acting" as one - for the most part to keep his own family of his wife and four children safe. Needless to say, Derik was raised as a human. His parents knew what they were, but they hadn't really worked on their powers - to Derik's knowledge. While he was at school his parents harnessed their powers, unleashing their bloodline of magic. Derik did suffer from mild headache and dreams that came true through his childhood, but otherwise his childhood was normal, growing up on German and a dialect in their home-city and city-state, only learning English about two years ago when he fully became a citizen.

Erik's major turning point came when he was 11 and his mother introduced him to one of her friends, who then asked him if he wanted to be a model. Lucy, unsure said sure as long as Derik was okay with it. He was - it meant money he could save for college when he got older. While this happened, by the time Derik was 13, he wasn't eating as much, and worked out tons to build his muscles. The media had reached him and he hated the idea of being fat, being one of those that society looked down on, despite his parents urging him to eat, and even using a few spells - without his knowledge to give him more nutrients. Derik resented the idea of being fat, despite losing weight like crazy till he hit 15 and the unimaginable happened. His father wanted to tell him what he was, that he was one of the descendants of a major line in the warlock/witch species, though that never happened. Lucy and Fredi were driving home, Fredi driving when they got slammed into by another car on the highway, throwing them into the shoulder. Derik, meanwhile was with his cousins, and they were coming to get him from Fredi's sister's house. Fredi didn't make it, but Lucy did. Lucy attempted to use magic to bring her husband back, though he was declared dead about 4 hours later at the hospital, with Derik and Lucy both nearby, watching him and praying medicine would help. It didn't.

Derik really got antsy then, and dove into his studies, avoiding eating by saying he had tons to do, including his modeling. He stayed with modeling till he was 18, and since Lucy wanted her son to be as normal was possible, refused to tell him of his heritage. His grandfather on the other hand, Erik wanted to. Wanted to share with him everything, though by the time he was able to do this later on, Erik had already gone off to college and then to the States a little later. Derik missed his father dearly, and still does to this day, hence he isn't a big fan of hospitals. Derik graduated high school and when he did, he promptly ended his modeling career and moved to England where he studied at Oxford for two years, getting some English before returning to University of Munich. There he stayed and upon graduating with Criminal Justice, he soon fell in love with the idea of the American States. Therefore, he flew here, got his citizenship and applied to be a Detective Supervisor in this town. Needless to say he didn't get it at first, as he he to work on his English and his training. So, what did he do? He soon began to not only witness things before they happened, he could sense things, see things other people couldn't, therefore he picked up English moderately well - just not the slang. Two years later he climbed to be the Supervisor, and since he does visit Germany frequently, Erik still holds a German accent and slips into German or French, sometimes Dutch when he gets ticked or super stressed. Recently with his visions, he's beginning to control them better, but he's attempting to figure out why weird things are happening. These deaths all over town - he just thinks it's all fairy tales though, with what's happening - if only he knew.
