jayden is a pretty chill guy. he tries to fit in with the crowd whenever he's out and about in public. over the years he's softened a bit, taking kindly to the humans even though he doesn't entirely care about their existence. and while he tends to push his emotions down, he does have the capability to bring them back out. he hasn't completely forgotten how to retrieve them yet. whenever he finds a girl he likes, he'll tend to be a little romantic at times. however, on the flip side, he can fall back down into what would be called "dark and broody", but he often recovers from this quickly. though he'll never admit it out loud, he's very ashamed of the things he's done in his life. don't get me wrong, he isn't the depressive type, but he can get moody at times.

OVERALL
born in england the year 1098, one would say that jayden is very old. he was the oldest of the three siblings in his family. his parents were, of course, demons as well (his mother a born demon, his father an original demon). his parents were always on and off. when he was born, his father left the family for a very long time, and did not return for another twelve years. jayden's mother, stupidly in love, accepted his father's love again and from that, jana was born a year or so later. the incident left jayden feeling angry about his father, and would often call him out on things the man did wrong.

their father stuck around for a while this time, probably to prove jayden wrong about everything he'd said. and then, when jayden was nearly one hundred years in age, his mother found out she was pregnant yet again. in the nine months that followed, jayden often physically fought his father, but the older man was an original demon and always sent his son flying. jayden was consistently bruised and hateful. finally, jacob was born. next thing you know, their father was gone, without a trace. jay was furious. in his rage, he nearly trashed the house, forcing his mother to kick him from the household.

a while later, it is now 1349. the black plague was striking down many people in europe. jayden didn't have a worry, though. he'd been told that only demons and angels could kill him. therefore, he had nothing to fear of the nasty humans that came to him and others for help.

but for a time, he did help. he wasn't a certified doctor or anything, but he attempted to help those people who were dying over the course of the year. there wasn't too much he could do, and as a result, he witnessed a lot of people dying. this had quite the impact on him. it was depressing, really, how frail the humans were, that they would die from a simple disease. it was foolish, they all were. and they couldn't even save themselves, or each other. all because of the "high class" humans who wanted to own slaves for themselves. it was true, that the disease came from overseas, probably from africa where they were importing a lot of the men from. it was disgusting, and jayden no longer wanted any part of it.

again, another skip to year 1607. he watched as many men loaded up the ships that would take them over to the "new world". wondering what was out past the ocean, the man waited to see what they would fine. it wouldn't be until many years later that he would finally get to move to america himself.

cue forward movement in time to 1750. finally making a home for himself in boston. he met quite a few new people, and made the discovery that not only humans had come to the "new world" with them. he met a woman while living there who went by the name of anna. she was a vampire, as jayden would quickly discover. they became very close after finding out about each other, and jayden allowed her to take blood from him on a daily basis, as to not cause a stir when people started getting bitten. in a small town, that probably wouldn't be the best idea. and so, the two fell in love. they got married, actually, and lived together. when shit started to go down in boston, jayden was eager to help them get rid of the threat, which happened to be the british soldiers. he participated in the boston tea party, much to the dismay of his wife.

when the revolutionary war started, jayden was one of the people who was chosen to fight in the war. brought away, he was forced to be separated from his wife until the war was over. of course, when they finally won and jayden returned home, he found his wife dead with a wooden stake through her heart. it was ruled as a suicide. if it were any other cause, jayden would never learn of the truth. but that doesn't mean he wasn't pissed. years later, he would learn of hunters, those humans who knew too much for their own good.

jayden lived alone for a while after that, although he had to move from place to place to avoid people realizing that he never aged. eventually, he ended up in new york in the year 1860. lincoln had just been elected and would soon be brought in during the following months. and the civil war? well yeah, jayden fought in that, too. he was with the north, of course, given he lived in new york at the time. but he didn't have anyone to fight for this time, so he just killed people without remorse. there were numerous occasions where he slaughtered innocent civilians without thinking or caring. and it was also during this time that he realized some of the men in his group were hunters. wanting to learn more, he joined in on their little group and deceived all of them. he learned that they were able to use a "special blade" that allowed them to kill off some of the supernatural beings, demons included. suddenly weary of the people around him, jayden fled the scene and wouldn't show up on the map for years.

enter 1977. things had changed so much. jayden could see that just from looking around at the things that were being invented. the world was finally moving into a new era, one that maybe would allow him to live his life in peace. but of course, someone had to ruin that. turns out that some hunter found out that jayden was hiding out in a town in montana. confused as to how this happened, jayden was then assaulted in his own home by a man claiming to know his "true identity." baffled, he and the hunter fought it out, and jayden came out on top. but the hunter did not die, not yet. jayden possessed his mind. a pissed off demon wasn't something to be taken lightly, after all. and there was someone in the town they were living in that tipped the hunter off. and so, possessing the mind of the hunter, jayden went around with his new "friend" and literally killed everyone living in their hole-in-the-wall town. following the event, he released the hunter's mind and killed him with his own dagger.

needless to say, jayden left town. he had to make a name in a new place, yet again. and he was getting tired of having to do the same things over and over. but as it happened, someone tipped him off about a city called manuka. apparently supernaturals thrived there, and lived somewhat safely. he packed up his things and made for there, not looking back.

and of course, why should things go smoothly in this new town? shortly after he arrived, now only a few years ago from today, jayden was attacked by another hunter. out of the blue, it seemed, by a man who was apparently well known within the ranks. it was during this fight that jayden would receive the jagged scars on his back, dealt from the "special blade" that seemed to be floating around everywhere he went. but unfortunately, jayden freaked and tried to save himself, consequently killing the hunter in the process. after having moved towns to try to start living a normal life, he'd already killed someone. upset by the events that had transpired, he fled to a small house on the outskirts of town, vowing to never have another thing to do with the supernatural "war" and finally considered himself neutral. he tries to act like a normal person now, although his rage still flares up whenever he comes in contact with a hunter. because seriously, what the hell did he ever do wrong? before all the shit started, he had done nothing to antagonize the humans or the hunters. being a demon had a shitty rep, he would soon discover.
