He's not a very happy individual. Dimitri learned how to hide his emotions very well due to his demon heritage, and sometimes forgets that he can bring them back to the surface. He had a rough childhood and still acts awkward around his brother sometimes. Overall, he's very sadistic, often enjoying killing or torturing people to vent his anger. However, when he isn't feeling murderous, he tends to be something of a nice guy. He doesn't have a temper per se, but does get angered easily.

OVERALL he was born second of four children, a hybrid combination of demon and werewolf. his father was a demon, his mother a werewolf. they were born in the country of russia. his older brother dominic was very close to him and the two would often play around with each other. dimitri's two younger sisters were born a few years after that, and the family was happy. however, dimitri's parents started fighting a few years into the kids' childhood, and when dimitri was about fourteen, he started noticing how his older brother became more distant.

not understanding what was wrong with his family, dimitri had asked his brother what was wrong. he never got an answer, as dominic gave a reply that went along the lines of 'it's nothing, don't worry about it." however, it wasn't long before dimitri started growing worried when his brother's grades dropped in school. one night after his after-school club, dimitri came home to find his father and brother having sex in his parents' bedrooms, and his mother and sisters were no where to be found. after his father noticed he'd walked into the room, dimitri was violently punished, and woke up the next morning with purple bruises all over his body.

his mother was a little worried about the bruises, but didn't say anything to dimitri the next morning and instead asked if he wanted to stay home from school. agreeing, dimitri spent the day crying in his room. his cousin luka (a full demon) came over to visit him when he heard that the kid had gotten "beaten up at school", the story that dimitri's mother had told him. the two hung out for a little bit, but nothing was ever revealed as to what had happened to him.

a few months later, dimitri finally had the balls to ask his brother what was going on. his older brother broke down and told him that their parents weren't having sex anymore and that their father had "sexual frustrations" that he needed to take care of, and threatened dominic that if he didn't comply, he'd use one of the younger sisters instead. overhearing this conversation, their father entered the room and had the two dragged downstairs into his bedroom. after threatening the little sisters lives again, their father forced the two to have sex and joined in shortly afterwards, successfully having an incestuous threesome. the two brothers had a hard time talking to each other after that event.

it didn't take long before dimitri became his father's newest play thing, often touching him whenever they were alone, beating him, and pulling him away into his bedroom. the two younger sisters began to grow suspicious, and started asking their father what was going on, and why their brothers were no longer talking to each other. things had grown awkward around the house, and their mother did nothing to help any of them. dimitri started getting into arguments with his mother, yelling at her to do something about their father. she refused to listen to what her son had to say, and eventually, dimitri grew tired of trying to escape.

when dimitri was seventeen, shit started to go down. his mother was a victim of homicide, of which the killer was never found. devastated at the loss, all the siblings were at their lowest point and the brothers knew that their lives would only get worse from there. after their mother's funeral, their father started going a little crazy trying to figure out how to support four kids. he needed to get away from it all, and devised a plan to get rid of his children. that night started like any other -- he pulled the brothers into his room and locked the door. however, they would be surprised to see that their little sisters were already in the room. nina was tied up in the corner with tape over her mouth, and raisa was laying on the bed with no clothes on. she was no longer breathing.

their father instructed the two of them to remove their clothing, and the two refused. when nikolai heard this, he gave the threat that if they didn't do as they were told, he'd shoot poor nina who was bound in the corner of the room. hesitantly, they complied. their father then gave the order that they were to double-team their dead sister, and again, they were hesitant and refused the order. without another word, the gun fired a silver bullet, and nina was dead now, too. holding the gun up to face the two brothers, nikolai repeated himself and the two eventually did the deed. during the process, nikolai slipped from the dark room. he lit some matches and let the fire do the rest.

their house burnt to the ground that night. smelling the smoke, dominic and dimitri tried to break the window to their father's bedroom and finally managed to slip outside. they ran from the building, and a few minutes later, their house completely collapsed with everything they had still inside -- including their sisters' bodies. nikolai was no where in sight -- he'd vanished into the night.

years and years later, the two brothers up and moved to manuka, a place where they'd heard the supernatural were "thriving". they managed to convince luka, their cousin, to join them which he did. but things weren't the same after that. dimitri developed a sadistic personality disorder, a result of all the times he'd been abused while his father forced sex upon him and his brother (as a result, he enjoys doing the same things to others to make him feel less guilty about what happened to him). dominic wasn't hit as badly. he became depressed for a short while, but after the move to manuka, him and luka got really close and eventually their story was shared. the three live in a decently-sized apartment with each other.
