Roman comes off as unemotional, and sometimes even cruel in his words. Usually when he speaks, it is something that is unkind or almost brutal. Therefore, he can be rude, but each word has a logical message behind it. He is otherwise quiet and usually has a cold stare to accompany his gaze. He finds that the normal pleasures of such usually don't satisfy him, so he does not indulge in getting drunk, or even sex, except when he finds some use in it. He will have a drink or two, but nothing to shadow his logic. He has not really dated for about five years even though there had been plenty of opportunities. He was still stuck on his last soul mate who he killed upon his powers heightening to their full potential. He is also very thoughtful about things even though he seems to be empty at times, just completely spacing out. He usually does not get angry and it would be a rare occasion if he did. Although, he hates injustice, lying, and cheating. He finds that the events are unforgivable which is part of the reason he has not forgiven himself about murdering Lilia.

He is also emotional on the inside. Only the closest people to him see the worst of it, see him cry, although those moments have been few. He sees that crying is simply a waste of time. He also likes to trick people from time to time, when he feels devious that is. Next, he cares dearly for every member of his family and there is a patience and a forgiveness that lays there like for no one else, no matter how illogical they are. He has not seen someone betray them yet in their clan, but he has a feeling it will happen at some point. If someone of their family were to betray them and come running back, he would shut the door on them because family ought not to completely betray family. It had to be something rather unforgivable to push him that far, but he would do it nonetheless.

Born on January 21, 1984, Roman Liam Ellis became the first child of Amery and Scotia Ellis in Manuka. Starting with a little of his parents history, they lived in Ireland with the head clan, but since they were pregnant with their first child they decided to move. When Roman became six, a few months later his younger brother Finley was born who became a skilled fighter, despite all of them being trained in martial arts, aside from fire taming. Then when he was sixteen, his parents had his youngest brother, Calan. As all of the youngest, he was spoiled the most, but he was their crowned jewel. Calan was the one to complete the family and there were much expectations for each of them.

As for their family life, his brothers and him were home schooled considering that they were all firetamers and they would be raised differently. They also learned martial arts along with how to tame their powers. Roman was their guinea pig in a sense and once they got past him, they were experts. For a while, Roman had that hardest time taming his powers, or more so like he did not want to. He wanted to be the most powerful, but until five years ago, he never really wanted to learn. Five years ago was when he killed his first girlfriend.

He had met Lilia while he was outside running one day. He saw a man slap her and he went to her side after the man left while she was crying. Roman was much younger and more emotional. He cared much more when he was around 20 years old. They became rather close to the point they had dated for about four years, but that was when he killed her after losing control of his powers. He was even about to ask if she would marry him, but he never got the opportunity to.
