OVERALL
Elizabeth Rose is not your typical girl. She's shy, insecure, lonely, a doormat for others to stomp on, innocent. Most only see this side of her; but inwardly Elizabeth is so much more. She's got a fire burning deep within her just begging to come out and ignite, but her fear holds it captive. She takes solace in being alone with her thoughts and her piano and notebook where she feels safe, where nothing is really subject to change. After the loss of her older brother Malcolm, she closed herself in more and shoved all of her grief and feelings associated with the loss into a bottle and swallowed them up. Shortly after, she was born into a vampire and has never really gotten to deal with it healthily and it's ultimately had an affect on her view of death and life and the fact that she will probably never die.
Elizabeth is a sweet girl, but she longs to be known as more. She wants to find herself and feed part of that fire, as long as it doesn't spread so far that she turns into something she's not. She's just tired of living in the shadows of others; she wants to be her own person now.

OVERALL Elizabeth grew up in a fairly stable home and her parents were out of their minds in love with each other. They raised Malcolm to be chivalrous and Elizabeth to sit and act like a lady (in public anyway) and were always encouraging and accepting towards both of their children about anything and everything. It wasn't until Malcolm came out to his parents that things changed.
Their family was fairly religious. Both Leslie and Wyatt had been raised in religious homes with religious values and generally did the same to their children. When Malcolm came out to them shortly after his 17th birthday, they were blown away. His mother broke down crying and his father couldn't even look him in the eye, but Elizabeth was there. She was only twelve at the time, yet she was the one comforting him and his boyfriend Connor that night when both of them were in tears. Connor's parents eventually warmed up to it, but Malcolm's parents just distanced themselves further and further from their son.
Two years later, Elizabeth was staying at a close friend's house when Malcolm and Connor were the victims of a viscious hate crime. Both of them were mugged and beaten and left in the park behind Malcolm's house while the criminals ran off laughing and joking about it. Malcolm returned home with Connor in tears and neither Leslie or Wyatt even listened to him. He walked Connor home only to have worse results. His parents turned it on their homosexuality and said maybe if they were straight, stuff like this wouldn't happen to them. Malcolm called Elizabeth on the phone crying and she was busy messing around with her friends and vowed to talk with him later that night when everything died down. She was never allowed that option. Connor and Malcolm took their lives together that night and forever changed their families and Elizabeth's life.
Her parents were never the same. They became completely different people. Her dad blamed Malcolm's sexual orientation on her mother babying him as a child; they fought all the time. Elizabeth faded into the shadows of her brother's death and was forced to deal with it on her own. But she never really dealt; she just shoved the feelings away and forced herself to live on.
The memory still haunts her now three years later; if only she had listened to him when he called, he would still be here. She wouldn't be a vampire. She'd still be a normal human with normal feelings and an almost functional family. She blames herself for him and Connor's death and this has kept her from many relationships forming into what they could be.
Shortly after Elizabeth's seventeenth birthday, she was walking late at night in a park near the river when a peculiar man appeared from the shadow's. He appeared to be around nineteen or twenty, and his eyes were piercing light blue underneath his sheet of silky black hair. His smile was tempting and open, coaxing her to spill her heart out to him eventhough she had never seen him or anyone like him before. She continued walking, trying to concentrate on the path in front of her when he called out to her, saying he was looking for something he had lost earlier that night. Even now Elizabeth doesn't know why she turned around to help him, but she did. While she was helping him find this fictional journal he had lost, he somehow got her to open up to him about herself and her life and how things were different now since Malcolm left. He comforted her and even wiped some of the tears he had managed to spring to her eyes, and then he convinced her to become like him. He told her it would make things better, that she would be able to live out her life, Malcolm's, Connor's, and many more life times instead of just one. At the time, these words comforted her, but letter they were the objects of her worst nightmares. She agreed, and that night he changed her.
That night was only about three months ago. Elizabeth is still adjusting to being a vampire and what it entails. She's still learning how to be proper and clever and cunning, but it's hard. It doesn't seem like it fits who she is, and she's yet to come to grips that this truly is who she is now and who she always will be. This will forever be a part of her, and that fact hasn't really sunk in yet.

RP SAMPLEAmelie felt tears form in her eyes at the memory of the day she’d said those words to Vincent just before she left and headed to Hogwarts. She hugged her knees close to her chest and let out a shaky breath; of course when she was just starting to be happy, memories of him had to shoot at her like racing bullets.
“Come on, Amelie. It was for the best…” She tried to convince herself pathetically. If it was for the best, why did it hurt this much to think about him and what had happened? She bit her lip and looked at her knees a long moment, trying to stop the tears from pouring down her face.
Vincent and her had been the most perfect in the world, at least in Amelie’s eyes. He was her everything, and she’d thought she was his. And, Amelie supposed that maybe she was at some point, but not in the end…not when she needed him most. She closed her eyes and rested her head on her knees, allowing herself to dive back into the memory.
~
“What did you expect me to do, Amelie?” Vincent demanded, his dark green eyes searing into hers. “Huh? Chase after you like a bloody fool?! I wasn’t going to do that! I had other things to deal with than one of your blasted tantrums.”
“My tantrums.” Amelie repeated, narrowing her eyes at him. “I have a choice, Vince! I either leave to a different school or stay here. I thought I meant something to you! Yet, you’d rather fight over a damn train ticket with someone?”
“What is this all about, Amelie? it’s your choice.” Vincent pointed out, running a hand through his hair. “In fact, ALL of this is your choice. I’m just a small deciding factor.”
“That’s where you’re wrong!” Amelie yelled, passion deep in her eyes. “You aren’t some small factor! You’re the biggest one! You’re more than a factor! You’re my entire world!”
“So what? What did you want me to do?!” Vincent shouted.
“I wanted you to fight for me. I wanted you to say that there’s no one else you’d rather be with and that you’d rather be alone than without me.” Amelie explained, tears welling up in her eyes. “THAT is what I wanted you to do, you idiot!”
“And how was I supposed to know that?” Vincent asked, his voice softer now.
“You just were.” Amelie murmured, a lone tear falling down her face. “I’m going to Hogwarts Vince, because clearly I don’t mean as much to you as you do to me.”
~
Amelie choked back a sob, not wanting to wake up the other sixth year Gryffindor girls in her room. The memory left her feeling like her heart had been ripped apart all over again. The lack of emotion in Vincent’s eyes that night killed her. What had happened to the guy she feel for?
“It’s the past…” Amelie trailed off silently to herself, hugging her legs tightly and crying as quietly as she could. She’d get over him eventually, wouldn’t she? She had to.
