Elena can't see the purpose of friends, pure and simple, not unless they're worth something. A bonufied user, whose only interest is in money, Elena can only value people who are of value to her in return. This isn't just a case of her being alive for too long to see the worth of friendship, she was never particularly close to any of her so-called friends during her human existence either, but then again, she did reside in a court, during a period in history, where people would sooner stab one another in the back, than shake each other's hand. Making a name for one's self, and money, was all that mattered to her parents when she was growing up, and over the last five centuries, it gradually became all that mattered to Elena as well. But that doesn't mean Elena can't have her fun, in fact, if there's one other thing she values, then it's a good time. Being alive for five hundred years has made life pretty predictable for the fiery red head, which is why she grows weary of boring and disinteresting people as quickly as she does. What Elena loves is a person that can excite and challenge her. She's also a remarkably calm individual, and difficult to temper.

Elena might be a vampire, but she doesn't exactly have a soft spot for those of her own kind, and prefers to remain distant from them. She isn't particularly averse to the company of other supernatural beings, or humans for that matter, either, but she has lied and cheated her way through the last five hundred years of her life, caring very little for those she's hurt, or those she's stepped on along her way up in the world. As a result, she's made her fair share of enemies, a whole five hundred years worth. She's certainly emotionally detached, as she believed she had to be when she was alive, and remains to be now; refusing to allow her carefully molded front to dissolve. She also possesses a wide array of personality traits that can either make her very alluring, or very obnoxious. She's a vain, arrogant and proud individual, traits derived from the life she led as the daughter of a duke and duchess, and that have been carried over in to her life as of now as well. She's also stubborn, refusing to allow a younger creature emerge victorious from an argument or dispute. She'll never admit it when she's wrong, and she'll never back down either, even if her determination proves futile. She can be seen to be quite frivolous as well, considering the way she jumps from person to person.

Elena may be emotionally detached, but she certainly isn't physically detached. Most of her life has been spent sleeping with those she can only see herself conning money out of, and now that she is adamant about giving up that part of her life, broader prospects intrigue the fiery red head. One night stands will probably prove to be her forte, considering she believes her soulmate to have died centuries ago, something that casts a constant shadow over Elena's belief that she could even form, never mind maintain, a relationship with anyone else. That being said, Elena is a notorious flirt, who knows what to say, when to say it, and how to use herself, as well as others, quite well. The red haired seductress is confident, and oozes sexual appeal that pours from her physical appearance as well as her thick, albeit smooth, Russian accent. She knows what attracts people to her, and makes sure they know what attracts her to them as well, as her bright blue eyes will linger on their most appealing assets in a suggestive manner for a considerable period of time. In the company of a person she finds attractive, she can be playful and teasing.

TERESA & ELENA: Teresa is usually a very sweet person who keeps an open mind about everyone, but I really don't think that she would like Elena at all. She is usually a very motherly type of figure, but Elena would make her wary. Maybe she could bring out the 'bitchy' side in her by going after her soulmate or something? I'd have to talk to Emily about this, but Iain is a human and yeah, unknowingly go after him and Teresa would be all like hell no.

JENNA & ELENA: Jenna is my oblivious human, she used to be a hooker before she ran away from Britain to Manuka to basically escape it. She knows nothing about vampires or anything of the sort. Jenna looks like a 'rich' kind of girl, but she actually barely has a penny, so I don't think Elena would want anything to do with her at all.

BENJI & ELENA: Ah! Benji is my little con artist/circus performer, thinking that he needs the stuff people have more than they do. I think when the circus had been in a different city, they could have been flings of sorts? Kind of, flirting, and stuff, because Benji is very charming and such. Maybe they could even be acquaintances, because I know she doesn't have 'friends'.

JARED & ELENA: Jared is literally ancient, and so maybe they could have met a few hundred years ago, on one of his adventures, and he could have pulled her into one by accident. He just loves mischief, and he is also charming and charismatic, and I do think that they could have hit it off. He can be snarky and challenging, so conversation for him and Elena wouldn't be boring. He is a flirt too, so it could be fun.

LIAM & ELENA: He is my human who absolutely loathes vampires, like srsly. One of them was gonna kill his sister who was sick with cancer, when when his sister died, he killed her. So, let's say for example she wanted to drink from him/have a one night stand with him, he would end up shoving something wooden into her arm or leg and he would literally spit in her face. He would really really not like her. Nuhuh.

CALLUM & ELENA: Uhhh, so he's my adorkable, awkward deaf werewolf who is just trying to get by and make at least some friends. He has a twin and an older brother who are much more experienced in talking with people. He would think that she was beautiful, certainly, and that her red hair would remind him of Franky, the best friend he left behind in England when they moved, but I think her whole atmosphere would scare him, and she would probably dislike his awkwardness.

WESTLEY & ELENA: Wes is a hunter who fell for a fallen angel, so before Alix he would have hunted the hell out of Elena. He would have tried to kill her, but now I don't really see anything at all happening with them. Unless you can think of something.

SHAY & ELENA: I think Shay could be one of those people who she respects. He is a warlock, and a powerful one at that although he doesn't quite know it yet, and he is also a doctor. I think that they could form an alliance in which if she needed his help, he would provide her with potions or magic, in return for whatever she wanted to offer him, and they could maybe form some kind of mutual respect.

JUDAS & ELENA: Judas would stay away from her with a hundred foot pole, literally. He is a coward, and he would smell danger on her from a mile away so he would turn and head the other way the instant he saw her. Big no no here.

KELLIN & ELENA: He would want to fuck her. Simple as. He is a faerie, who is gonna die soon because he has cancer in his human form, and he is partying hard. He would think she was uber sexy, and like, nothing past a one nighter just because.

RUBEN & ELENA: Same with Ruben. He is a 20 year old fox shifter, who doesn't believe in commitments. He ran way from home so he wouldn't be put into an arranged marriage, and is a martial artist, and he's good at it too. I think, that maybe they could get into some kind of physical fight because of a misunderstanding, and like, because he could hold his ground, she would hold some respect for him as he would for her, and I do think that a one nighter is in order, because well, she would be someone he would usually go for.

Wow! So many characters! So many possibilities! It was tough to wheedle it down to three (which is what I spent the last hour, and then some, doing), but three is a nice round number that my OCD likes, so I went with that

ELENA && JARED

I like the idea of them having met in the past, I don't have a very clear idea in mind for what misadventure they might have been involved in, but for some odd reason I can see the fallout of this little escapade ending with Elena ending up in some withering castle, in a decrepit old cell, in one of her favorite dresses, getting ruined from the poor upkeep of the fortress in question. This could have probably happened in her earlier years as a vampire, considering she was quite foolish starting out, so she would have been the one to get caught, while Jared might have made a run for it, so understandably, she could hold a grudge against him? But, because of the challenge he poses to her, he's probably pretty easy for her to forgive.

ELENA && RUBEN

The misunderstanding is a great start for these two; I like the idea of an altercation between a shifter and a vampire. Elena doesn't know a great deal about shifters, she would have only really encountered other vampires, werewolves and witches during her time, so as well as pissing her off, Ruben would also intrigue her. Because of how well educated she is, she is fascinated by the things she doesn't have a lot of knowledge about. Now... how to bring about this misunderstanding..?

If it ever came up in conversation, which I doubt it will, Elena would be able to relate to Ruben when it came to his arranged marriage, though she would also be quite envious of the fact that he ran BEFORE going through with it, whereas she waited until after, and was pretty much stuck in the situation.

ELENA && BENJI

I can see these two having had dealings in the past, con artists having to stick together, and all that. Say Elena might have leant him money at some stage, being taken in by his charm? And now that she's in Manuka, decides to chase him up looking for the cash in question? Not because she needs it, just 'cause she can. I think acquaintances might fit better for these two.



And honorable mention to... ! I seriously squealed when I read up on Callum!!! And were it not for the fact that Elena would get incredibly miffed by him, would have pounced on that werewolf as well, but alas... !

NIKA AND ELENA - both of these two are die-hard russian assholes xD i was thinking... maybe they could be friends since they're so similar (although that usually means they would be enemies). i feel like we could make something interesting between the two. nika is a seventy-eight year old demon with a very strong hatred for hunters and humans (and a lot of other people too). she's like elena in the fact that she doesn't really see friendships as friendships unless she can get something out of it, and when she can - she will take full advantage, throwing that "friend" right under the bus if needed and she wouldn't even blink an eye. i dunno, maybe you have some ideas? cause they could easily be either friends or enemies, but nika has so many enemies so i want some friends D: and with their bitchy russian-ness... i like them xD

Took a look at Nika's app, and I'm in definite agreement. One thing that they will have in common, and that stands out for me, is their united need for vengeance. Elena has been searching for her sire ever since she was created, and Nika wanted revenge against the hunter that killed her family, only difference is, Nika got it, while Elena is still looking. That might give rise to something in and of itself.

I like the idea of Nika and Elena being frenemies, I imagine that with the two of them being such bitches, they could have something of a 'I scratch your back, you scratch mine... but I may stab you in the back every once and while if it's worth it' due to their mutual hatred for the people that made them who they are. Elena might be neutral, but if she could see the benefits in choosing a side, then she would. Like, if she imagined the vampire who made her was on the dark side, she would join their ranks just to weed him out and kill him. This is something Nika could play a part in, maybe make mention of the fact there's an older vampire among their group? With how long Elena has been searching for her maker, she would jump at the mention of any old vampire.

NIKA AND ELENA - yeah sure i can get nika to do that xP she's always trying to get people/things to realize that her side is the right side... since she doesn't particularly know how to accept the fact that she's wrong. so sure, nika can bring up some oooold ass vampire. hehe. frenemies is perfect - right in between friends and enemies mwaha. yay! i think they'll go well together, despite their commonalities (idk if that's a word, but it didn't make a red line under it so hey, i'm using it). woo! plots<3

nelly is my immortal and she's over six-hundred years old. she is outgoing and friendly and kind of all over the place. literally, too, since she's a modern day nomad. i don't know what she'd think of elena, honestly. she's chill with vampires (with anyone really) and non-confrontational. however, she's also easy to manipulate, so maybe we can work something out there? nell has some seedy connections thanks to the fact her aunt's a crime boss, so she knows her way around illegality. i don't know if that may be useful to elena, but who knows? she's a friendly gal and won't be opposed to anything if elena speaks the right words at the right time.

nathan is my twenty-five year old faerie. he's a smart guy, with an arrogant attitude. these two will probably either bump heads or get along as acquaintances. don't exactly know there. he's not opposed to one-night stands, either, and isn't into relationships whatsoever. he doesn't really get emotions. xD

mia is nell's mommy, and she's an immortal too. over two thousand years old. she's a psychopath, but she hails from a very powerful family that are quite up there in the supe world, so elena would probably know of her. but i don't know how elena would react to her. she's one to ramble and not make sense whatsoever, but she is also good company. she's nice and all that. just...strange. and violent. :\

Hi it's Emily! I meant to post these earlier, but because of computer problems and stupidity- this is my third attempt. It's 2 in the morning. So bare with these terrible plots XD

Damon&Elena - Sexy lady that wants one nighters? Damon will take some of that! He's the badboy of the Ellis family and is known to be a little manslut.

Cierra&Elena - ohdear. You see, Cierra is an innocent, sweet, totally easy to manipluate girl because of her people pleasing attitudes. It's ridiculous. She knows this, so she'll probably try to avoid her as much as possible cause the girl has a hard time saying no to most things.

Becca&Elena - Becca is pretty headstrong and for that, their personalities clash. Becca's going to try to pick a fight with her right off of the bat. But her bipolar attitude will also try to help her after they are done fighting XD

Chandler&Elena - Chandler is a bit of an oddball- he is the family hybrid and is extremely laid back and defintiion of a social butterfly. I'm not sure how far that would go considering that Elena probably wouldn't even take a second glance at this giant guy O.o And Elena would probably freak Chandler out a little bit anyways haha

Iain&Elena - Iain is an anit-social human who doesn't like or trust anybody. can't seem them even enteracting.

Remy&Elena - Remy is a hunter who attracts his victums by seducing them with his charming ways and then goes to take advantage of their vunerablity. Well I see Elena being way too good to fall into a trap that easily. Perhaps the bed part, but after that she wouldn't take him wanting to kill her and would probably defend him off easily.

Elijah&Elena - PARTY FRIENDS! Which are different than his regular friends. Hes a grown to be alcoholic so he tends to party and want to have a good time with several people around him- Elena being included.

Kimmi&Elena - These two... I mean, bitch on bitch, werewolf on vampire...but I had a better idea least I think so, my mind is pretty heavy at this time in the morning but with everything going on in Kimmi's life (long story short. Shes a celebrity model with riches and glory and sleeps with every guy you could meet. She likes this boy and he likes her but she doesn't want to bring him into this life) hermind is a little boggled. She IS bi-curious (because I had too many straight charries) so I was wondering if it was Elena she could do some experimenting with? O.O

Eleyna and Elena - ha. ha. Easily amused. These two not only share a common name but also share the same species. They are very different in personality though. Eleyna is hard but sweet. Elena is pretending to be sweet but hard. So these two would clash terribly. I think that Eleyna would be so terrified of Elena. Theres a group after Eleyna that she is certain is vampires and with Elena's personality, she would have her suspicions...

Weston&Elena - Weston is what you want to call the man's man. The big jock. The head of the kingdom of guys. So he'll be flirting with someone like Elena quite a bit, but not too hard because Elena potrays herself as 18, so he'll back off. But with her personality, he'd probably be flirting a lot.

Jack&Elena - Oh, he's my hardcore hunter. A legend in the hunter world because he has lived a long time for being a hunter. 46. So he's kinda the top of the top and will defintaly be targeting Elena no questions asked said or done.
