Dambi is soft-spoken girl who keeps to herself most of the time. She loves her art and music more than anything else. She can spend hours on the beach drawing or painting. Dambi was raised in a strict family. She had little to no freedom as a child. Her and her sister had almost no friends because they were expected to spend all their time focusing on school. Mika, unlike Dambi, excelled in school. She got the straight A's her father and mother expected while Dambi struggled to get C's. She wanted to be an artist and a musician but her parent's were strictly against it. When Dambi turned thirteen she discovered her power. And while she was excited, her family was not. Her parents forced her to keep it hidden and to never go swimming. Her sister was repulsed by her and shunned her.

As Dambi continued through school, she continued to struggle. She took art classes behind her parents' backs which eventually resulted in them beating her and pulling her out of public high school. Dambi had never hated her parents so much. One day she had escaped to the beach and her mother had followed her to bring her home. When her mother was at sea Dambi lured her under the water with her siren song. When she returned home without her mother, Dambi's father and sister easily figured out what happened. She was kicked out of her house and her father disowned her. Despite this, Dambi never believe he really didn't want her as a child. She has never given up hope that one day her father will want her.

Ever since, Dambi has lived on her own and had to pay her way through college to get her art degree. She knew it would only distance her farther from her family but she had to do what she loved. But she hasn't been able to find work since she graduated. She still thinks that one day karma will bring her back to her family and continues to do what she can to help others.

Dambi hummed softly to herself as she examined the canvas in front of her. The air around her was quiet in the apartment. It was raining today so she couldn't take her things to the beach. She looked out her window at watched the waves crash on the sandy shore as the thunder cracked overhead. She smiled softly to herself and turned back to her canvas. She dropped her pencil and sighed loudly. The sound echoed through the empty apartment. She had nearly no furniture to absorb the sound because she couldn't afford it. Apart from a bed and two chairs, her small apartment was unfurnished. She shared a bathroom with the other tenants on the floor. Well, she had a stove and those types of kitchen utilities, but they came with the place. But Dambi wasn't complaining. Her room had a perfect view of the beach and was only a block away. It was all she needed. Plus, it was cheap.

Dambi stared at her blank canvas for a few moments more before she gave up and walked away. She hadn't left her house for days because of the storm and being couped up really frazzled her brain. She sat down on one of her chair and stared at the empty space in front of her where a TV would fit nicely. She sighed to herself. She would enjoy a TV for times like these, but it was too expensive for someone unemployed.
