This video interview was taken in 1978 in Sunnyside Royal Hospital in Montrose, Scotland.
"Hi, I'm Doctor Fields and this is my collaegue, Doctor Marshalls. Today we're interviewing Mairi Gibbs, she came to us by with a note on her arms. She's been with us for about a month now, and we're admitting her to our hospital as a full-time patient depending on this interview." A balding man in his fifties shifted in front of the camera, in a homey-looking office, with a bookshelf in the back. He then panned the camera towards a large window, and by the window were three chairs, one where a woman in her thirties was sitting, her hair tied into a tight, neat bun. Doctor Fields spoke, "All right, bring in Mairi, please." His thick Scottish accent hitting home to the red-head as she was brought in.
It's not right, I don't like white. It washes me out. she thought to herself, before glancing to the man beside her and then the one behind her, escorting her. "My friend doesn't like you." a giggle escaped her lips. "He thinks you're daft, you're not even Scottish!" she laughed and thrashed then, eyes rolling in her head as the door opened, and she paused, eyes locking onto the pair in there. The air grew tense as the red-headed woman spoke, clicking her tongue, "I'd...like to know if I can be released. I feel like a dog." The orderly behind her hesitated, though soon undid the restraints on her. Eyes keenly followed the man who was with her. He was always with her, never leaving her side, telling her what would happen, what was going on in others' heads if her telepathy was only catching so much, he caught more. Fiddling with her fingers, she spoke, holding them in front of her, as she heard the two doctors shift, a new one she didn't recognize. "Fingers are weird, aren't they? I once saw a man without his ring finger, it's one of the useless ones if you ask me." she twitched and then paused, "You can't touch those books!" she shouted at nothing, or so thought the doctors. But to her, her "friend" in her mind was scanning through them, he looked back at her, playfully offended,"Me? You're the one yelling at me, I was just lookin'."
Snorting, the redhead spoke, eyeing the doctors, placing hands on her hips, "Now den, why did ya ask me here? You know I don't like new doctors." She narrowed her gaze at the female, "You're American, yeah?" The woman pushed up her glasses and nodded, "I am, I heard so much about you Mairi, and I want to hear your story, from you." Giggling, Mairi looked at her friend, "She wants to know my story? Funny right?" the supernatural giggled, and came and sat down on the floor by the window, walking her fingers along the sill, "Where do ya want me to begin? When I started my own cult? Or when I discovered how worthless we all are on this planet?" she laughed shortly, leaning back against the wall, folding her legs pretzel-style. "I learned this sitting style when I was young. What did you learn when you were young, Doctor?" She was toying with her, said the doctor she worked with before."Gets knows so much about you already, Doctor, just from you sitting there. Give her only so much."Mairi's eyes narrowed towards Doctor Marshalls before she answered, "I learned lots of things."
"So tell me, Mairi, to get this interview started, where were you born?"
Mairi snorted and played with a piece of her hair, then answered, "Dear Doctor Marshalls, I was born in 3989 B.C."
The woman nodded slowly, glanced to the older Doctor then continued, "All right, so that makes you roughly 6000 you say, correct?"
"Yes ma'am. I don't remember where though. It's like...a haze. Like a dream." Mairi emphasized, throwing her hands up.
"Right, and did you have siblings?"
"Doctor, like I said, it's a dream to me. I remember so much, but my family...only like puppets." she waggled her fingers as if she was a puppeteer.
"Did you change your name at all over the years? You know, stay hidden better?"
Mairi giggled, "Of course! I like my name. Do you like my name?""Mairi, do you not want to talk?"Fields asked, crouching down by her. Mairi shook her head briefly,
"I don't like dis woman, Doctor. Rowan doesn't either."
"Who is Rowan?" inquired Marshalls.
"Rowan is dere, woman! He is my friend and has been for years!"
"Oh...right. Sorry Rowan.""Doctor Marshalls just wants to know you, Mairi, like you and I know each other, do you understand?"
Locking her gaze onto his, the immortal nodded, poking his nose,
"Of course I do, Doctor!" she rolled over once and looked to the woman, "They told me I'm non-violent, isn't that fun?"
"Yes, I imagine so."
Standing up slowly, the red head brushed back her hair from her face slightly, swaying,
"Do you like my hair, Doctor?"
"Yes, it's very pretty."
"I've had it since I was a child. I thought I liked blonde for awhile, but I like me normal hair."
She tossed it over her shoulder then sat down on the chair, leaning forwards, staring directly at Marshalls.
"So then, and you say you can hear others' thoughts, correct?"
"Yes!" Mairi shouted, and placed her hands on her temples, drumming her fingers on her head, "Little worms in my head. Little worms whisper me things. Little worms are here to stay."
"What am I thinking now, Mairi?"
"Can you call me Mary? It's much prettier."
"Oh...all right. Mary, can you tell me what I'm thinking now?"
"But you're thinking it, wouldn't you already know, hm?"
"Yes but well...ok." the woman laughed nervously, glancing to the other doctor based on the tape, also somewhere else, "Mary I'm going to think of a number and tell me what it is, okay?"
"Four thousand nine-hundred and eighty-one." she spit out, eyes darting around the room.
"That's...that's correct."
"I'm an immortal, Doctor." she stood up and approached her, leaning close to her, despite a warning grunt from the doctor that she knew and trusted. "I know so much and have seen so much, my dear Doctor Marshalls. I've seen empires rise, I've seen them fall. I've been married to Dukes and Royals before. I see auras. I'm an immortal doctor, and I will wait forever if I have to before I see him."
"Him?""This man she mentions once in awhile, her past lover. He was also an immortal from what I understand, right Mary?"
"But of course, Doctor." she twirled a lock of her bright red hair, "Van Gogh told me, ya know, before he killed himself, that I was the prettiest woman, and deserved only riches and silks and gold. Not some white room where y'all can see me."
"Do you think you would be able to have a job, Mary?"
"I think I can do whatever I want, doctor. I like knowing secrets, I know things that would make you cry, that would make you puke. I know your nightmares."
Mary hissed, digging her nails into Marshalls' arms, and the doctor yelped. Fields ordered in the orderly as Mary rushed up to the tape and tackled it, giggling,
"Don't think I stopped learning my dear Doctors! I always learn!"
The tape gets busted for a moment, though returns as three orderlies attempt to restrain her before finally giving her a sedative shot in her neck. The immortal soon faded, but not before winking at the screen, as the tape ends.

In 1984, when Mary was turning "28" she escaped. The red head had taken the keys off her orderly's belt and escaped that night with her friend, Rowan tow. No one else was helped, only herself. Over the 6 years from when she was first admitted to the Sunnyside Royal Hospital, they placed her in an intensive program that would aid her to become a "responsible citizen of society" which in her and Rowan's terms, change her. She went with the program - for the most part and by the time she escaped, Mary had become not only a manipulator, but she actually knew how to act in society - for the most part. Escaping Scotland, she immediately changed her name to Amelia Lancer, and became an English citizen. Rowan remained with her, of course, like he had been for the past 1,000 years. The "friend" followed her forever and she didn't mind the company, but as she got her first job of stocking shelves at a little shop owned by a nice woman named Iva, Rowan didn't seem to mind it. Iva liked "Amelia" and offered her to work more. Amelia took it and soon was able to easily pay her rent without manipulating her landlord anymore.
Throughout the 80s she remained in England, right near Scotland and soon moved to France, taking with her her fountain of knowledge - which came with a price. Staying solitary, she made "friends" mostly just people she happened to meet at work. Husbands? In the past. Originally born in 3989 B.C. in Greece, she was looked upon as a daughter of a deity because of her red-hair. When she was 26, she sold her soul, and over time, lost most of her emotions. She "steals" people's emotions, or so she thinks. She does in a way, by mimicking them and having stored her emotions in her head. By 1998, Amelia had died and given birth to Lacy Rovers, a Scottish girl coming to America. She found herself in Manuka, the same city she had been in when it was founded, and unfortunately is in one painting somewhere in the city, and she believes it's in the university, which she plans to steal one day.
Don't get her wrong, Mary is incredibly talented, despite her manipulating to get her way, she also doesn't like to answer questions. Sometimes she will, but very rarely. Eating what she likes, though walking a lot and running, Mary maintains a basic diet and will never eat anything that deals with broccoli. She loathes the stuff with a passion of a thousand suns. If you want her to talk, have her talk about history. In general, not her own or she'll have a fit. No family, she doesn't remember, and she doesn't remember her siblings (she had two, both older). Mary likes to be alone and loves her pets, though after getting out of the hospital system for two decades, she stole some money over the years and saved up, therefore she works part-time now as a painter and makes decent money, as well as at the local library here in Manuka. She likes it here. She doesn't feel as alone as a supernatural, though having moved back to Scotland for a decade and being back about a year now, she's ready to make friends, and attempt to change herself...attempt to change for the better.
