Annie is a total sweetheart. She has the tendency to be very quiet and sort of skittish when you first meet her, but she's extremely easy going and charming in an odd sort of way. She prefers to spend her days playing the piano or just enjoying the day. She is unashamed of her shifter form, though it causes her pain. Her Voices are a source of constant anxiety and the root of her skittish tendencies.

Once you get to know her, Annie is extremely talkative and rather playful. She has a silly sense of humor. Get her going on something and you might never hear the end of it. What she doesn't show is the fear. She's overcome a lot of it, but the skittishness pushes it way through on occasion. Win her affection and you've got a friend for life.

OVERALL Annie's parents were relatively normal people who lived in a relatively normal town who fell in love. Shortly after they met, Rachel became pregnant. In order to hide the scandal, the two married oh so quickly but neither really minded. They were happy. When their son was born, they named his Paul. Paul was a healthy baby for the first year of his life until he did not wake up one day.

Crushed by grief, the Scotts holed themselves up in their house as a memorial to their lost son. Several years later, they had a little girl and named her Annie. Her parents spoiled the girl gave her everything, but nothing they could do would cause that little girl any harm. She grew up sweet and a bit shy, but all in all little Annie was an angel. When she was seven, little Annie woke her parents up in tears. Apparently, there were voices in her room that wouldn't be quiet. The Scotts dismissed the girls protests as a result of an overactive imagination. When she refused to be quiet about them, her mother took Annie to a doctor. The doctor prescribed medication, but the pills turned their normally bright little girl into a bleak, tired little shadow. Unable to watch their daughter suffer through life like that, the Scotts took her off of the meds and focused on teaching her to deal with the voices.

Her mother taught little annie how to play the piano. She took to the task extraordinarily well and became very good in a very short amount of time. It became one of the little girl's favorite activities and she never grew out of it. As for the father, he taught her about the wonders of the outdoors. Stargazing, camping, horseback riding. Little Annie found that, when she was outdoors, she could never be alone with those awful voices. Little Annie grew into a beautiful woman, talented and clever despite a developed tendency to be a little afraid of anything she didn't know. The Voices were cruel, but she had learned to deal. Upon her eighteenth birthday, yet another thing changed in Annie's life. Her body began to ache, worse than anything she'd ever felt. She escaped into the field behind her own house and there learned a new secret about herself. She could change into an animal, an ocelot so the books said. She rushed to tell her parents of this new change, but they dismissed the revelation as a delusion of her voices. They never truly understood she was telling the truth.

Annie continued to grow up and finally came to the conclusion that she could no longer stay in her parents' house. Ever curious, Annie did her research about her newly discovered form and found information about a town called Manuka where there were apparently other shifters like her. Thus, Miss Scott packed up her things and moved to the town. She hasn't been here long and the curiosity will soon drive her into town to learn. She never could be alone for long....
