Birthmark of a heart on her hand. She also has several tattoos throughout her body including her arms, sides, stomach and ankle. Many of them are somewhat "nerdy", expressing her love for comics or gaming. She has a total of 12 tattoos so far...She also has a nose piercing.
STYLE
-Nova's style is basically whatever she feels comfortable in. Usually she goes for the darker colors, but sometimes she will throw in some color just to change things up a bit. She loves to wear big clothing to lounge around in, and does a lot of her shopping at thrift stores or cheaper stores. She isn't one who cares about where a person shops. As long as the shop sells good/cute clothes it doesn't matter where a person shops.

-As for makeup, Nova hardly ever wears eyeshadow. She keeps with eyeliner and mascara. It does enough to bring out her hazel eyes, so she has no need to add anymore makeup. Unless it is for a really special or important occasion.

-She doesn't wear a lot of jewelry, but when she does she has her few necklaces and bracelets that she loves to wear. She has a specific necklace of wings that her brother gave to her when she was 8. He told her it was a symbol of how they were now free from their abusive parents, and that she can do whatever she wants...she can fly. That necklace means a lot to her and it is probably the one she wears most frequently.

Quiet/Reserved:
Because of Nova’s past abuse from her parents, she tends to be quiet in social environments until conversation gets going…or someone talks to her. This has caused her to have a bit of a shell that she needs to break from. Once she gets comfortable around people she will start to relax and open up a bit. Some people might look at her and automatically judge her as a bitch just because she is usually quiet. She tends to get judged a lot because of that and also because of her appearance. She doesn’t believed judging is necessary no matter how a person looks or acts. A person should get to know another person before judging them.

Outgoing/Bubbly/Sweet:
Yes she is a reserved and quiet person, but once you really dig deep and get to know Nova, she has a completely different side. This side usually comes out when she is very comfortable with someone and trusts them. Trusting people take a while for her, just because she keeps her guard up just to protect herself. But once she can feel a person out and get to know them, she gain the trust and her guard comes down more and more. She can be very outgoing, silly and bubbly…She definitely knows how to have a good time and to just have fun and forget about whatever is on her mind, if anything is on her mind. She can get pretty hyper around close friends because they bring out the best in her. Nova is a very sweet and friendly girl. If a person were to talk to her, she would gladly respond and hold a conversation…even if the person seemed crazy.

Trustworthy/Honest /Loyal:
Nova will always put others before herself. If someone she cares for is upset, she will do whatever it takes to put a smile on their face and make them happy again. Sometimes it may not be good to put everyone else before herself, but she can’t help it. It is just something she has always done. A friend could call her at 3 in the morning crying and wanting her to come over and of course, she will be out the door and at their house within minutes. She is the type of person who would never back-stab anyone. Her loyalty is very strong, especially to those extremely close to her. You could tell her a secret and you can be assured that she will keep it to herself and if she promises on something she will never break a promise. She will always tell the truth, even if it may not sound too good, because she believes the truth is very important. Good or bad.

Bitchy/Impatient/Anxiety:
Like any normal person, Nova does have her bitchy side from time to time. It is brought out when people push her too much or tell her what to do or how to act. She absolutely hates that. If someone is being mean to her then she will most likely ignore it at first until things get pushed overboard, then she will be glad to bitch the person out. She most likely would never physically fight though…because of the abuse in her life, she is strictly against ever laying a hand on anyone no matter what the case is. But she can still fight with words. She just does her best to avoid any drama in general. If people mess with friends or family, she will get pissed and have her revenge in some way or form. Another thing about Nova is that she is not a very patient person. This goes along with the anxiety. She has always had anxiety problems brought on by being abused. This usually means she worries a lot and gets extremely nervous and upset. She won’t be able to sit still during an anxiety moment…and sometimes can make herself very sick because of it. She is doing her best to overcome her anxiety problems.

Nova was born and raised in Toronto, Canada with her brother Jasper. Ever since she was little she always nicknamed him Jazz or Jazzy…mainly because when she was really young, she couldn’t really say his whole name. Jasper is a year older than Nova and has always been the protective older brother…especially since their parents abused them on a daily bases. They weren’t poor or rich…more of middle class than anything else. Except their parents never really bought them anything…They both would get beaten for any little thing…if they forgot to put away dishes, or simply if their parents were just mad for no reason. It was always taken out on them. Jasper always tried to take most of the blame for things, even though it wasn’t his fault, just so that Nova wouldn’t have to be beaten as bad. He would rather them hurt him more than her. They even tried, several times, to run away or go to the police but there was no solid evidence except for some bruising and scars on them. Even then the police didn’t do much until later…When Nova was 6 and Jasper was 7, they escaped from the window upstairs in their house and just ran as far as they could…Only to be found a day later by the police and of course, returned back home. They spend countless hours crying or living in fear from their parents. One night Jasper told her that he will do everything he can to get them out of this…he promised and even swore on his life he would take care of it. When Nova was 8 and Jasper was 9, child protective services finally opened their eyes and started to look more into their case. Jasper called child protective services one day when their parents started to abuse them…right when CPS came and saw everything, their parents were arrested and they were taken to a foster home.
It was a few days after that when her brother gave her a specific necklace with the symbol of wings on it. He told her it was a symbol of how they were now free from their abusive parents, and that she can do whatever she wants...she can fly…be whoever she wants to be…be free. That necklace always meant a lot to her and still does to this day. About a month after all of this, they got adopted by a lovely family that actually love them and take care of them.

9-15 years of age
Her family now, which she proudly calls mother and father, are also middle class just as her real parents were. Her and her brother got treated a million times better…it was like heaven to them, to finally find that perfect family that loves and cares for them. Because of all of her past trauma, Nova had and still has bad anxiety problems. It has gotten better over the years, but during the ages of 6-16, it was at its worst point. Her and her brother both went to therapy for quite a while after being taken away from their awful parents. They were traumatized from the abuse and needed to talk about their problems and past life. The therapy helped quite a bit and helped them open up a lot more than they ever had before. Jasper was always there for her; even through her anxiety problems …he was there through everything which is why they have a close relationship. He will always be overprotective over her and worry about her. They can talk to each other about anything and rely on each other no matter what. When she hit 15, her family decided they wanted to all move Manuka because of a job opportunity. They all agreed and the move would be good for them anyway. It was a bit rough at first because a new place meant meeting new people who didn’t know anything about them or their past. After a while they adjusted and got used to it.

16-present day
Her anxiety problems got a bit better and weren’t controlling her life as much anymore. She also discovered she had a talent of singing and dancing…she loved both so much, but was more into singing and writing her own lyrics. She even got a bit into playing guitar and piano/keyboard. She had been told by friends that she should enter talent contests but she was too shy and nervous to. Singing was something she did when no one was around to hear her, even though she has a good voice. The only person who has really heard her is her brother and even he thinks she should do it more often. At 16 she discovered her power and what she truly was…A firetamer. This was something she never knew about herself and wish she had known…if she knew about it when she was younger it would have been sweet revenge back at her parents for abusing them. When she first discovered it, she was angry at her brother…a normal sibling fight that turned a bit bad. She waved her hands in the air like any normal person when they are mad…but instead of just flailing her arms around, fire came bursting out of her hands almost catching her brother on fire. She was so shocked she almost passed out…then of course she went through the confusion stage and had a million questions like; “what the hell is wrong with me?, Am I crazy? Did that really happen? Does that mean I am evil? How do I use this power? Etc…” She did her research and found out everything she needed to know…along with a lot of practice. Currently she continues to learn and practice her power and overcome her anxiety problems.

Arabella scoffed as her boss rambled on and on over the phone about how she needed to come in to work today. She honestly would rather stay home and do whatever for the rest of the day, but apparently she was needed at work. Rolling her eyes a bit as she hung up the phone she glanced around her room. Being at the Gelato shop allowed her to not have to pretend on who she is…not like she had to at school. Yeah she admitted she can be bossy and moody even as her true self, but she was way nicer then the show she puts on for school every day. She feels the need to be a bossy, controlling bitch when she is at school and around her popular friends. She thinks acting like this will keep her in the popularity crowd…plus everyone expects her to be that way because she is a cheerleader. She will do whatever she needs to do, to stay popular…besides whoring herself out. That’s one thing that she isn’t…a whore.

Ara looked over at her little white, fluffy kitten and smiled. Her kitten, Nora, meant the world to her. She had gotten her recently as a present from her parents of course. They seemed to buy her love since they never spend time with her. She picked up the little kitten and held it close to her for a couple seconds before putting her back on the bed and moving to her closet. She pulled out the uniform which was a shirt that had the gelato shop name on it, and skinny jeans. She quickly threw on the clothes then moved to the bathroom to fix her hair and makeup. She decided to pull her hair up in a cute pony tail…plus you weren’t really supposed to have your hair down anyway around food. Once she was finished, she grabbed her purse then headed out the door.

It was pouring down rain outside, which wasn’t really fun at all…Ara hated rain, mainly because it would screw up her hair if she was out in it for more than 3 minutes. She rushed to her car then quickly started it and headed off. Thinking about school and how different she was…made her think about how she was a bit different outside of school…sometimes. Today her mood was in an alright position, but could be set off it a rude customer decided to bitch at her. Ara didn’t like when people got in her face and usually would get back in their face. She was a very strong girl and isn’t afraid to speak her mind…whether it be good or bad…those couple of traits fit in great with her bitchy side that she shows at school. She pulled up to the Gelato Shop and sighed…more work! On top of going to the university…it put a lot on her plate. She got out of the car and walked up to the door, gently pushing it open and walking in. Her eyes scanned the area noticing not a lot of people were there just yet. Her eyes moved to Gianna. She walked over and lightly smiled. You could say they had a bit of a love/hate relationship, but right now Ara wasn’t sure what was going to happen. “Hi.” She spoke as she moved to the back to put her purse down, and then came back out.“How are you?”
