STYLE Ellie likes to look cute, which means she'll wear what she feels like wearing that day. Sometimes its something simple, like a pair of jeans and a shirt, and other times its a dress. Despite the fact that Ellie likes to look good, she is not above dressing down some days. In fact, she has a ton of clothes that she calls her bum clothes that she isn't afraid to wear in public. Make up wise, Ellie likes to keep it simple. She prefers to wear hints of make up, as she calls it, that accents whatever she wants attention drawn to without making it overly obvious. However, her nails are almost always painted and chipping - she can't seem to ever keep the polish nice. Ellie views jewelry the same way she does make up; the bare minimum is the best option. There seems to always be at least one hairband on her wrist, simply because she pulls her hair up at random times.

Ellie is an open book and always has been. She doesn’t see the point in deceiving or lying or tricking. The girl is straight forward and honest, sometimes blunt to a fault. Witty and quick tongued, you are more likely to get a sarcastic response out of this girl rather than the answer you were anticipating. The only thing that she tries to be misleading with is her own thoughts and feelings. Though unfortunately, it rarely works because her eyes show everything. You don’t have to be a mind reader to figure out what the twenty year old is feeling. While she’s quick to dish out criticism, she’s unable to deal with being given her own medicine. Ellie is realistic, rarely found daydreaming or wishing. When Ellie does wish for something, it is usually something that she knows is attainable and once the goal is set, Ellie is unstoppable. The brunette is bright and curious, wanting to know anything and everything and hates when she can’t. She drinks up knowledge like a parched person would drink water. Ellie can be pushy to the point of bossy when on her quest for knowledge; a trait some admire and others count as a fault.
The history of the youngest Alston daughter forced her to grow up quickly. She’s known as being independent and fierce and doing things for herself, feeling as though she doesn’t need other people. Still, Ellie is outgoing and usually friendly enough but not to the point where it’s sickly sweet. Despite that, it takes Ellie awhile to actually build a relationship with anyone simply because she’s not quick to trust people. Ellie feels as though she actually has to know the person and analyze them, much like a new observation she might make. Ellie is set in her ways and doesn’t budge based on others’ opinions. Sometimes Ellie is stubborn to the point of stupidity, meaning that she won’t listen to the suggestions of others’ – even if they’re correct – for the sake of winning an argument.

Ellie doesn't remember much of her life before the age of five. While it remains a mystery to most who pondered it, she thinks she knows why. Up until the age of five – and more specifically that September when kindergarten started – life was better off being forgotten. Ellie had been an accident child, something her mother loves to remind her of frequently today. While some think that Elli was named Eloise after her maternal grandmother for some sentimental reason, they would be wrong. Mary hated her mother and decided to give her newborn daughter the same name as the demon woman. She was born into an ugly family, one where the mother had a secret drug addiction, the father had a mistress or two on the side, and the older sister was a slut who had a baby at fourteen. And while Ellie doesn’t remember her first five years of her life, she knows they weren’t happy ones. Why else would kindergarten stick in her mind so well? That was when Ellie got the attention she needed to flourish, where she got her hands on books that would later define her life, where she was actually happy. Life wasn’t any better at home, but school was an escape, even at such a young age.
When Ellie entered first grade, she was already reading chapter books at a third grade level. She excelled in the simple math and writing that was taught at school, remembered dates and events in history almost as if she lived it. But that talent held no worth to her family. Her mom had no idea where she even was half the time, either high or coming off a high. Her father tried, but was exhausted between trying to make enough money to support two daughters, his wife’s habits, and his mistresses’ desires. Her sister despised her. And while life wasn’t much better then, Ellie found that she loved first grade even more. Why? That was when she picked up her first mythology book, one that Ellie claims changed her life.
Teachers recommended all through Ellie’s elementary years that she should go to a different school, one for the gifted. Or at least get enrolled in a gifted program, something that would challenge her. While Mr. Alston had promised that he’d look into it, he never did. That was something that Ellie was used to; promises that people made without the intention of fulfilling them. When Ellie was in sixth grade, her father left the family, or what was left of it. Heather had disappeared a year or two before; though it caused little stir seeing as how she was rarely at the house. Gary had wanted to take Ellie with him, away from her mother, but the woman who would later turn out to be his second wife didn’t want children.
From that point on, it was just Ellie and Mary. Ellie was either ignored by her mother or screamed at, depending on her mom’s sobriety. She still made it on her own, taking comfort in learning. Ellie wanted to know about everything she could get her hands on; languages, cooking, history, photography, nature. It was also when Ellie realized that she hated being cooped up in her house and discovered her love of exploration. Come time to go to college, Ellie applied to as many as she could think of, knowing she wouldn’t go to most of them. It wasn’t a matter of grades – Ellie was one of the top in her class – but a matter of money. She had a little amount, whatever she had saved from her paychecks or stolen from her mother’s drug fund. Ellie’s only option was community college, but it was better than nothing. She started out with a major of art history with a photography specialty. On the first day of her second semester, Ellie walked into a class on the history of Italy and fell in love. She switched her major to archeology with an interest in Roman history. Ellie never thought she'd be able to see the places she was studying, however, because she had been stuck with a horrid mother in a situation where they had very little money.
Though it's fair to say her life turned upside down the moment Christian Elias walked into it. While changes were subtle at first, it wasn't long until she found herself completely and irreversibly dependent on him. Of course the girl would argue until she was blue in the face that she wasn't and that Christian was just a boyfriend like any other boyfriend she had ever had.
It took Christian trying to turn mortal for her and almost dying for Ellie to finally admit to herself that she needed Christian like she had never needed someone before. And after a tiny episode of drama, the girl decided to seek out a demon to sell her soul. She became immortal for Christian - without asking for his consent, of course - and plans on living happily ever after.
