It was an early April morning maybe like eight or so, There was screaming echoing through the Westbrook hospital for a woman was giving birth. After hours of pain a baby girl was born with little white hair on her head. The mother and father were so proud to have a lovely daughter there first child ever they named her Arika Leigh Chambers. Janis the mother was released from the hospital and she was happy to be taking Arika home, they had waited for the day when they would be bringing there own child home. Allen the father had made the nursery up for little Arika with little angels and girly stuff, Allen went all out for his special girl. Arika was a rather quite baby she did not fuss so much and her mother and father thought she was such an angel. The years seemed to past so quick and Arika was now five. Arika went to school for the first time and she was a little scared but also excited what kid isn't. School was a little rough on Arika as people would pick on her for how tiny she was and how blonde her hair was, but this girl knew to ignore mean comments and listen in school so she can have a good life that's what her mother taught her not that at that time she knew what her mother meant. Arika was a very good student she got straight A's in school and was student on the month more then once. This may sound like she is prefect but no child is. When Arika had hit 6th grade she was having trouble reading and she was sent home with notes saying she needed glasses, but Janis thought to be sure she would take her to get her eyes checked. The eye doctor said that her vision was fine but she was reading the word wrong, Arika was dyslexia. Yes one learning disability that Janis feared would ruin Arika's chances at getting through school. With that thought Janis had taken Arika out of school and took her to a school for children with disabilities like hers.

The school was so different, the kids where different some of the kids had down syndrome and some wouldn't talk and some shouted, Arika thought she was in a nut house and didn't like the school at all. Three years at that school was such a pain and Arika was glad to be leaving and going to high school in a normal school all though her mother thought she should stick to special schools and Arika shook her head and there was no way she was going to deal with a school like that again. Arika went to a well known high school in Westbrook. As a Freshmen the students in higher grades helped her out around the school helping her find all her classes and anything else a new student needs help with. In this high school Arika has tons of friends but no boyfriends, not until she hit her junior year where she met this really sweet cute guy and his name was Damian.

Arika and Damian looked like the perfect couple or so it seemed. Poor Arika never knew about Damian dark side, he was a boy beaten by his father and that gave him rage in turn her was violent. Sometimes Arika was to busy to see Damian and that would make him mad so when he did see her he would hit her for not seeing him when he needed her. Arika dealt with the beating for the rest of the school year and she had enough. Arika noticed she needed to end it when she would end up going home with bruises all over her body yet she would tell her parents that she the sports she plays get a little to rough and her parents never knew the real horror that until that one horrible night that would be the last for Arika. A week before her birthday, Arika was going to tell Damian she was done with him. Arika took some pain pills before going to see in she knew she would get beaten again so she was making sure she could dull the pain a little. As Arika had met up with Damian at the park, he has his dads car and she knew that he wanted to drive around and if she said no he would hit her so she accepted and sat in the car scared to tell him in fear of the beating she will get. Asking Damian to park somewhere, him being the dumbass horn dog her parked behind a closed building no light around except for the moon. As Arika was about to talk Damian began grabbing her and trying to get her clothes off and Arika pushed Damian away and he got a little upset but not much he just thought she was playing hard to get so he tried again and again but Arika just kept pushing him away. He was getting annoyed and asked her why she was fighting and that when she told him it was over. Damian was not happy to hear this and he got out of the car and started kicking it, Arika with fear in her eyes got out to try and calm him down and as she put her hand on his shoulder he swung around and hit her and she fell to the ground. Damian was pissed and if she wouldn't be with him then no one else could have her, with a swift hand Damian pulled out his knife that he kept in his boot and kneeled down to Arika and held the knife to her neck. As Arika cried for him not to do it he slowly pushed the knife into her throat so slowly she felt it break she skin. So scared Arika could not swallow and she cried for him to stop and he did only to kiss her and tell her goodbye then Arika told herself that if this is the end of her life then she will leave and let god take her. Damian pushed the knife all the way into her neck and pulled it out quick and as he held Arika in his arms her blood pouring out into his hand, her breath had slowed down and soon it stopped she was then dead.

After Arika's death she was buried out into the woods, Damian made sure no one knew what he had done and he got away with it. Up in Heaven Arika was greeted gladly and with all the joy around her she wasn't so sad she had her wings and happiness seemed to have over come her but that was short lived. God came to Arika telling her that she cant not be in heaven until her duty is done and she wondered what that could have been. God had told Arika she needed to make things right with her parents and that there was a little girl that needed her help so Arika thought if thats what she must do to be happy then she will. God sent Arika back to the earth and with her wings and halo hidden Arika looked like a human being and she was in search for the little girl she needs to protect. God had told her she must not let anyone see her for she was pronounced dead and it would cause chaos for her to show herself to anyone but the little girl she must look after. Arika took her duty gladly and found the girl with no problem and and started her duty looking after her. Arika thought the duty was easy or so it seemed until she saw the child father and she knew she must protect them both but she didn't know but she would find a way.

It was four a.m. and Jessi Mae has been up since three for she had very bad insomnia lately and it didn't seem to get better, but that was fine with her since she wanted to be up early enough to get some photos in as the sun rises. Jessi was sitting in her window seal taking some pictures as she had a pretty nice view of the lake down from her house it was dark but the moons light reflected in the lake and it looked so pretty Jessi had to capture it. After Jessi took the shots she wanted she got up from the window and walked over to her desk and set her camera down as she went to go get dressed. Jessi was going to see Chrys today but that was later right now she just wanted to get out of the house and take some photos of the town in the moonlight and then head to the beach before the sun rises.

Jessi got dressed in some jeans a tank top with a sweater or the normal winter clothes since it was morning it would be freezing not that it wasn't during the day its just worse with the sun not out. Grabbing her camera Jessi made her way out of her room and out the front door as quiet as she could for she didn't want to wake her grandmother up this early or her grandmother would just try to find out where she is going how long she will be gone and if she will be home for dinner, today Jessi just wanted time to herself before her day get hectic.

The air was cold and dry and as it hit Jessi's face she cringed a bit and huddled in her sweater and continued walking down her street on her way toward town. Why walk instead of taking a car you may ask, well Jessi is more of a girl who likes to see life slowly and to her a car is just to fast she rather have her bare feet hit the earth the sit on her ass and listen to a engine roar, you could say Jessi is a girl who is in tune with nature and she really is she just loves how it looks and she has to capture it to keep the moment. it wasn't long until Jessi found her self in the middle of town only a few lights shining and it was the best lighting for Jessi to get the prefect pictures. Jessi was taking one picture after another and before she knew it the sun was coming up "Damn I wont make it to the beach" she said as she looked up at the sky and shook her head and she sighed and thought "maybe next time". Jessi stopped taking pictures and looked at the time it was still early and so she headed her way back home to try and get a few house of sleep before going to meet up with Chrys.

After getting home and taking a little sleep or more of a cat nap since the insomnia kept Jessi from actually going into a good deep sleep, she had got up and saw the clock it was maybe a good 3 to 4 hours she had which was good enough. Getting up from her bed and running her fingers through her bed tousled hair she headed to the living room to see if her grandmother was awake and get some money for some hot coffee. Jessi saw her grandmother sitting there watching some soap on t.v. and she walked over and kissed her Granny on the cheek and told her she was going out for some coffee and meeting up with her friend and of course her grandmother gave her a twenty not that she needed that much but her grandmother always gave her more then she needed just in case she did need it. Jessi gladly took the money with a smile and walked out the front door, this time Jessi has gloves and a beanie that she had put on before walking onward to the local coffee shop.

Jessi got to the local coffee shop and as she got to the counter she ordered to cappuccinos and a blueberry muffin and as she paid and took her Muffin she took a seat at the counter and waited for her drinks. Jessi smiled to the other people who looked at her weird and it wasn't odd for her she got those looks alot and it was because of the hair color she had. After a few minutes passed the drink were ready and Jessi took them in hand and took a bite out of her muffin then she headed out of the coffee shop and too the place where she would be meet up with Chrys.

Jessi was a few block away from where she was meeting Chrys and with hot coffee in her hands it seemed like forever before she would be there, taking one last bite from her muffin Jessi found a garbage can and tossed the rest of the muffin in and then walked off hoping to get to the lamp post soon. To Jessi relief after thirty minutes she could see Chrys down the road at the light post and with a guy which she never seen before. Picking up speed Jessi got to Chrys and she set the coffees down and talked Chrys giving her a big hug then letting her go and turned toward the guy and gave him a smile "Hello there" she said in her Aussie accent she then picked up the coffees and handed one to Chrys as she took a sip from hers.
