[/i]Interview with Lieutenant Daniel Erickson
6:45 a.m.
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, 1941
conducted by Lacy Harper
Harper: Welcome, Lieutenant Erickson, I appreciate this opportunity to be here with you.
Lieutenant: Thank you, Miss Harper. Though I do understand you're here to talk to me about this...Ramsden scandal? You nosy little reporter you.
Harper: -clicks tongue- Yes, yes sir. I understand Captain Ramsden is your superior, correct? I'm here on behalf of Washington, after your promotion this weekend, what are your plans as well?
Lieutenant: He is, for now. What I plan on doing, is with that man, making sure he's taken care of for life.
Harper: How so?
Lieutenant: Captain Ramsden is a great man - don't think I'm kissing ass, sweetheart, I'm not. Ramsden would want me to tell the truth. He's served in the Army since he was 18, he's now going on 22 and a great man, born in 1919. I find him stern with us, keeping our sorry asses in line.
Harper: Aha...and I understand he'll be joining us shortly in reference to the threats from the Germans and Japanese?
Lieutenant: Course, sweetheart. The Japs are threatening us with the Germans, we're not too scared of them. This is Hawaii, and we're the largest naval area for hundreds, thousands of miles. We hold the key here and I'm proud to be with Ramsden here.
Captain Ramsden: (enters) I surely hope so, Lieutenant.
Lieutenant: Captain! (shakes hands) This is Miss Harper from the New York Times. She had to do this interview on a Sunday, before she leaves tomorrow.
Captain: No problem. See here, Miss...I've been with Lieutenant Erickson since he was a young man with me here. I understand you'll want to speak with me about the...allegations and I'm here to put a stop to everything and give congrats to my friend.
Harper: (grins and holds up recorder) Great, so then, Captain Ramsden. Strong, courageous, caring, you've been charged with first-degree murder, how do you respond to that?
Captain: Like I told the jury, the evidence speaks for itself. The woman says it was a man in a Naval Officer uniform. There are hundreds of us in the mainlands of the United States. I haven't been there in years. I plead not guilty, and surely not an idiot.
Harper: (chair can be heard squeaking as she shifts) Good, so then with this, how do you plan to attack the Japenese?
Captain: I take our orders from Washington and Washington, only.
BOOM!
Lieutenant: Incoming!
Captain: (grunts) Dammit! What the hell happened?
Harper: Was that an explosion?
Captain: Danny! Miss! Stay down! (bombs and explosions heard in the background in the ba)
Lieutenant: Shit! The plans! Leo!
Captain: Arm the battle stations! We're being attacked! Harper, get out of here! Now! (throws himself on top of Daniel)

Press Conference with Lieutenant General Erickson
10:30 a.m.
Washington, D.C.
1948
Daniel Erickson: He was my dear friend. He was strong, courageous, and horribly stubborn and sarcastic. (blows nose) He spared my life the day Pearl Harbor was attacked. He was being charged because of some woman claimed he raped her and beat her to a bloody pulp when he was three-thousand miles away. Leo was a man who kept an eye out for me, he always has protected me for as long as I can remember. He would never do such a thing, he was an honorable man, and faithfully in relationship with a woman in Hawaii at the time, spoiling her to bits if I may say so myself. A hopeless romantic, I always called him. With him having been honorably discharged from the service in 1947, I today, wish to announce that I will follow in his footsteps, and I will be taking command of the Naval Fleet...of the United States of America.
(applause)
You may not have known Leo Ramsden. You may recognize his name from the papers from the scandal. He was tall, brown-haired. (chuckles) He had the...most caring eyes I've ever seen. Despite him being so stubborn so much, I knew that I wanted to fight him till the day I died about who was right and wrong. Ramsden, dear friend, I honor you as I carry on your name.

Leo never left Daniel's side. After he couldn't "recover" from certain wounds in the Pearl Harbor attack, he "died" and remained Erickson's Guardian angel. Leo originally was born in 1836 to a Scottish mother in the States and a father who happened to be the Governor of New York at the time. They married young and Leo grew up a good man, strong, courageous and brilliant. He cared for others, till his untimely death when he was 26, in a battle in the Civil War in America. Leo turned into a Guardian angel first, for an ill older woman, who died and he was soon reassigned to Daniel - story above. Daniel died in 1951 due to an old wound giving him problems and setting off a heart attack. Leo reappeared as a young man, though soon moved to England till 1970s, which was when he was later reassigned in the 70s to a young woman.
- - - - - - late 1900s - - - -
Leo couldn't believe his luck. He was to be assigned to a beautiful young woman named Axele. She was blonde, beautiful and though when he was assigned to her - she was just a child. A baby and he was to keep an eye on her for the rest of her life. So, he did what he did. Leo appeared to her in her sleep time. After her parents went to sleep, he would materialize and allow her to see him, and he'd sing her a song. He'd tell her of the wonders of the world, and that he was always here for her. Leo remained strong mentally as a guardian angel. He'd been through war, seen famine and disease. He'd seen so much and being less than 200 years old it was amazing. Having fought in WWII and in Pearl Harbor, he had protected his charge, and still kept him alive through everything as a good friend. Which he would serve to be a friend to his charge, Axele throughout her life. When she became a toddler and could speak, Leo would remain a guardian angel to her, and would appear at night, taking her out of her bed and would listen to her request, and take her for a little flight.
As time passed, Leo began to get...nervous. Why? Axele was a strong young woman, and held her own ground. He stopped appearing to her at night, as if in her dreams when she turned 15. He knew it would get dangerous, and therefore remained hidden, just a phase. But he realized something...she was so...wonderful. It was when Axele turned 19 he realized with a horrible pang. He loved this young woman. Panic streaked through the angel's blood, though the 6'3" male refused to believe it to be true. He finally gave in. He showed himself to Axele one day, as a "friend" in her new college. He liked it. He liked college, having not been to college in decades. They became fast friends...and then, as Axele hit 23, he did the unthinkable. Leo forfeited his wings. For love.
He loved her unconditionally, but she seemed to love him, didn't she? That of course, didn't go so well. He accidentally slipped up knowing a bit about her, and soon, severed the connection with the one woman he loved so much. The Fallen was...well...mostly killed. He can't die. Ever. He had lost. He couldn't protect Axele anymore. He was torn apart. He couldn't imagine life without Axele. He failed though, he didn't deserve her...Leo awoke awhile later in a hospital and managed to escape, and established his own life. His connection with Axele was severed the moment he took his wings for her. The scars serve as a reminder to what he did. He remained in Manuka, hoping that he would be able to see her again one day...and tell her exactly how he feels about her.
