Doctor's notes 10/15/11;
Patient [Nora Pearl]'s strengths are often overpowered by her weaknesses. While generally helpful and pleasant when addressed, she finds difficulty in overcoming certain obstacles such as shyness, and a lack of trust in those not in her immediate social circle. Patient has expressed fear of hospital personnel, appears uncomfortable in current lodgings. Prescribed anxiety suppressants.
Doctor's notes 01/08/12;
Relationship established with patient [Nora Pearl], progress made in examining anxiety. Hallucinations alluded to; it remains to be seen whether patient experienced a single psychotic episode, or if condition is caused by history. Chronic issues suspected; honesty of patient questioned.
Nora is more of the quiet type. She'll try to stand up for herself, but in the long-run recognizes that sometimes it's just better to keep your mouth shut. She doesn't warm up to many people very quickly- it takes a special soul for that, so the whole relationship building tends to go rather slowly. That being said, once a bond is established, it can be difficult to shake her off. For all the effort she puts into preventing herself from opening up to people, she can sure turn around quickly and become dependent. When that source is swept out from under her feet...well, it can hurt, and she knows it. She doesn't admit to many things, and would rather be the one helping you out behind the scenes, without you knowing.
MOTHER Amanda Isobel Pearl [58].
FATHER Gregory Tyler Pearl [59].

Doctor's notes 09/11/11;
Nora Marie Pearl. Nineteen [at this time, 09/11/11], physically sound. Admitted under unknown psychosis.
Attended North East University [until 07/03/11], hails from outside the city. Concern expressed by family at disappearance [patient did not return to home at specified time, despite having assured both school & family of this being the place of residence]. Family/University unable to contact patient. Patient returned to city, suspected disorderly conduct. Attempted to turn self in to police. Admitted [09/10/11].
Nora was not always what was described as 'mentally unstable'. She was once almost painfully normal- not that that is such a bad thing. She had a supportive family in her mother and father, and her older brother, who lived with his wife and children out of state. She had friends, and a new, exciting life established at North East. Yet something, somewhere, went terribly wrong.
Her friends noticed odd behavior surfacing in Nora- she seemed scared of something, and spent less and less time coming and going- she would shut herself in her room, and seemed reluctant to leave even for classes. By the end of the semester, she was experiencing full-blown panic attacks, but refused to seek help. Just as the semester ended, she up and disappeared without a trace, and without a word to those concerned about her. She has yet to admit to what she witnessed, or what caused such a reaction. But somehow she can't shake the feeling that she shouldn't be talking about it.
Doctor's notes 09/29/11;
Patient [Nora Pearl] monitored after admission spanning several weeks. Experienced apparent hallucinations. Several mentions of 'black eyes' and demonic references. Suspected psychological breakdown, however disturbing activity terminated by [09/15/11]. Patient has regressed to passivity.
Doctor's notes 12/05/11;
Patient [Nora Pearl]'s family has terminated access to lodgings. Suggests depression, recommending medical solution.

RP SAMPLEIt never failed to amaze her just how bleak this room could appear- and she had thought her dorm was bad. Nora blinked, shielding her eyes from the glare that bounced off the back of a truck as it rumbled below her window. The morning deliveries- then it was already 6.
Sure enough, a quick glance to the side confirmed this. There was no satisfaction in the timing that she had perfected in her routine. Back at school she would have been proud to be awake so early, with the promise of a full day of activities that she surely would have planned. But this was not school. This was her white-walled prison, where no one visited, and no one cared that she was slowly losing her mind (more than was already gone), by being locked up so long. The reward for her good behavior never came close enough to giving her what she desired- a walk around a courtyard was not enough to satisfy. The provision of art supplies and books and whatever else couldn't keep her busy enough throughout the day. By noon she had exhausted whatever new activity she had devised, and the same books were already so dog-eared that she figured she could recite them to the other patients by memory alone. The absence of a real challenge infuriated her, and yet...
She looked back out of the window, brows creasing slightly. Yet here she was safe, and the world...well, the world was safe from her.
