Tess is your typical selectively-complex woman with a dark past. She has her moments when she can be completely confusing in her thoughts and ideas, then also other times when she is simply sweet. Some of the things she likes are clothes and modeling. Those two kind of go hand in hand. She also loves having the spotlight and getting compliments on her appearance. She is attached to her beauty products, and like any other girley girl, she loves shopping. There is a craving.. almost an addiction to men and sex. She needs both, but gets them constantly so there's really no issue, or in her eyes, at least. She likes rainstorms and being out in the rain, and just being out side in general. Especialy at night so she can look at the stars. Some other things she likes are action movies, swimming, painting, jogging, cooking- and eating, and being in control of a situation. Going back to her Irish roots- she loves Irish Step Dancing and has done it since she was a little child. She thinks that blue eyes are the most beautiful, and would give anything to have them. Tess has a soft spot in her heart for puppies and dogs in general. And she dislikes just the opposite; kittens and cats. Though, that's because she's allergic to them. That would also add allergies to her list of things that she doesn't like. As for food, mexican and lemons are two things she will refuse to eat. She doesn't like painting her nails and prefers to get them done by someone else, purely because she's impatient. She isn't a "morning person" at all. Some other things she also dislikes are being alone, screamo and rap music, the color brown, chaos, cold weather, public diplays of affection, and liars. Violence, yelling, and alcohol are the most hated things by her, mostly because of her dark passed that involved all of them.

Tess is extremely good at hiding her feelings and emotions. She can also withstand insane amounts of pain without showing the slightest sign of discomfort or complaining. She considers her beauty a strength. She is also a quick thinker and can get herself out of messy situations. If she is angry, then she can also be pretty sharp tongued. Her weaknesses, though, are: she has a constant craving for attention, she's addicted to sex, and is very emotional on the inside. She doesn't show her feelings but when she feels them, they hit her hard. She would also do anything for the sake of a dog. Tess bites her lip occasionally, depending on the situation. Tesslyn Keely O'Callaghan was born on May 18th to Brenna O'Callaghan and Arden Lochlund. Her mother came from a notoriously wealthy family, while her father was quite the opposite. He was nothing but the son of a baker. Still, the two met on a rainy day at the market. Brenna just couldn't handle the stress of being expected to be the next heir to the fortune. She was just not cut out to be the perfect royal woman that everyone expected of her. So, in a desperate attempt to clear her thoughts, she set off for the market, hoping to just be able to blend in like the other normal women of the village. Arden happened to be atop his horse, a reliable chestnut mare, when it started to downpour. Villagers scrambled about to get out of the rain, but one woman caught his eye. Without any thing to lose, he offered Brenna food and shelter to wait out the rain, and she agreed. He brought her back to his home, which also served as his fathers bakery. The couple were together from then on.

Two years later when Brenna was just 17 and Arden was 19, she discovered that she was pregnant. This was a shock to both families, but it was soon being celebrated with much joy. Arden always had a goal of coming to America in search of a better life. He was nothing but a poor baker's son, just barely getting by. So, in his mind, what better time to start anew than when his love was pregnant with his child? He mulled the idea over, then on a clear night, he set out a romantic dinner for him and his beloved. That night he proposed to her, then told her about his idea, promising a ring once they got to America and made riches. Brenna agreed enthusiastically, and a month later she was stepping off of an airplane in Colorado. Life was surprisingly easy at first. The two were not lacking money, thanks to generosity of Brenna's family. They got a small apartment, and Arden was employed in a factory that produced leather jackets. Everything was great. They were adjusting perfectly, becoming more and more comfortable in the United States as Brenna grew further along in her pregnancy. Eventually she had the baby, and named her Tess, a name which meant the fifth month. Tesslyn was a beautiful Irish baby. She had bright copper hair with sparkly emerald green eyes. Her skin was pale, and as she grew into a toddler, her freckles started to emerge. She was a bubbly giggly little girl. Quickly learning to speak, she would always babble on in a language foreign to everyone except herself. It was hard not to adore the little girl, with her cute smile and little dimples.

At home, her parents both loved her and each other, though it sadly didn't stay that way. The company that Arden worked for was slowly going under. They didn't make sales, and were constantly losing money. Eventually, him along with the rest of the company, got laid off. The family were upset, but they didn't let it get them too down. They still had money from when they first moved here, and they figured that Arden could just always get another job. But then, eight months later, he was still unemployed and their money was starting to dwindle. Brenna slowly changed from the happy go-lucky young woman she was when they arrived into a snappy, nagging housewife. She was originally supposed to stay home with Tess while Arden worked. But the depression from being unable to support his family was getting to him. Dark bags formed under his eyes while he just sat on the couch watching television to pass the time. After weeks of pestering him to get a job, and weeks of him refusing, Brenna finally decided to take charge herself. If he wouldn't support them and their daughter, than she would. She worked from 5am to 11am as a waitress at a diner. But it didn't stop there. She also got another job, from 12pm to 6pm as a waitress at a local bar and grille. Things looked like they were going to turn around, until Arden started drinking. It wasn't that big of a deal, until Tessa was about five years old. Her fathers alcoholism was spiraling out of control right before the families eyes.

It was a Tuesday night, about seven o'clock. Brenna was sitting at the dinner table, staring out the kitchen window and watching the sun set. She had made dinner for Arden and her daughter about two hours ago. Tessa had already eaten and taken a bath, and was just put to bed several moments before. Finally when he came home, though she realized where he'd been. He reeked of alcohol, and could barely stand straight. After a heated argument with his fiance about how he never did anything to help with their child, he lost control and struck her. Being the fierce fighter that she was, Brenna defended herself and even hit him back a few times. Of course, this angered him more. He beat Brenna until the commotion woke up Tess. The little five year old witnessed her daddy hitting her mommy, so she ran and attacked him, punching him with her little fists to try and aid her mother. He turned around, and struck her as well, making her fall to the floor. From that point on, Tesslyn started to change. The happy bubbly girl that her kindergarten teachers were getting to know disappeared. She turned into a reserved and haunted little child. Her sparkly green eyes lost their sense of wonder. As the years passed, the beatings got progressively worse. But Arden was smart. He never made marks that people would be able to see. She wore long sleeves and jeans year rounds to hide her marks. Tess rarely talked, unless it was to her mother, the only other person who knew what was going on. But eventually, even her attitude toward her mother changed. When she was about eight, there was one night where her father was more drunk than normal. He didn't even pay any mind to Brenna- he just went and took his anger out on Tess. She pleaded and cried for her mother to help her, but instead all she did was stand there with a deadness in her gaze. It was then that Tess knew she was truley alone.

Until her 4th grade year in school. She was sitting alone, as usual. She was keeping to herself while all the other kids talked happily away. She didn't notice him before, but when she looked up, a boy caught her eye. He was also alone. She wasn't sure what drew her to him, but she stood up and went over to his table. She took a seat across from him and studied him with her lifeless eyes for just a moment. "Hi. I'm Tess." That simple statement was what started the friendhip between herself and Remy. She found a sort of salvation in his company, and soon found herself calling him her best friend. The first time she went over the McElhaney house, she instantly loved them all. They made her feel so comfortable and welcome, a complete contrast from her own home. She found herself going over there more and more often. Wyatt, Noah, and Maxwell, became like brothers to her. And the Mrs of the house hold took the place of her own mother. Soon, Tess was over their house ever day after school and most of the weekends. This continues for years as she got more and more involved in their lives. Remy was her favorite though. There was even a period of time where she had the biggest crush on him. But she outgrew that by the age of twelve, when she started sleeping over their house aswell. Eventually you could say that she really did live there, going home only to get clothes and anything else she needed. She confided in Remy every secret, becoming almost a different person when she was around him. She wasn't afraid of being judged or pittied, so she told him about her father and everything she'd been dealing with since she was young.

Middle school came and ended, and high school started. It was her Freshman year when the men started to really notice her. She lost her virginity without even thinking twice. It wasn't really a big deal to her, and she didn't feel emotionally attached like she heard about happening some times. Her first time gave her a confdence boost that she never would have expected. For the first time in her whole life, she felt important. She felt useful, and that someone was glad she was around. She started sleeping around, and by sophomore year, she was miss popularity. Everyone knew her, and if they didn't, they at least knew of her. Tesslyn started dressing provocatively, and her attitude towards every thing and every one except the McElhaney's changed. At the beginning of her Junior year in high school, her mother announced that she was pregnant with a baby boy. Tess was going to have a brother. But before she was able to get excited about it, Brenna and Arden moved back to Ireland. That's it. Just left. She went back to her house to grab some clothes to prepare to spend the weekend with the McElhaneys, when she read a note taped to the front door. 'Dear Tesslyn, we have moved back to Ireland. You are old enough to be on your own. We love you.' That was all the note said. Even though her hate for her parents ran deeper than the Grand Canyon, it still crushed her that her pregnant mom took her little brother and just left. That night was a terrible one. It was even storming outside, how fitting. Tess couldn't sleep. She just tossed and turned in bed until she left the spare room she occupied and creeped down the dark hallway. She peeked into Remy's room, before getting into bed with him and cuddling. She just wanted to be with her best friend. She never expected to have sex with him, but that's what happened. The emotional comfort she was seeking turned into a physical one as her midnight visits to Remy's room became more and more frequent.

Tesslyn knew how she felt about him. She was positive that this feeling that she had felt inside for so long was called love. But she never admitted it. She was positive that he didn't love her back- at least not in that way. Since they told eachother they loved eachother all the time, but it always had a hint of the whole best friend tone. She convinced herself that he wouldn't feel the same way, so she dropped it. On her 18th birthday, she signed a modeling contract. She thrived on the spotlight and being the center of attention, plus the contract promised her free clothes. A month later, she had money, a nice home with the McElhaneys, hot clothes, and an endless supply of willing men to sleep with. It was paradise.. until one day Remy decided to abandon her. It had hit her completely by surprise. One minute they were just hanging out all casual, and the next he said he loved her and left. Tess was a wreck for the next few weeks. She hid in her room and didn't talk to anyone, reverting back to her old ways. She loved him too, and that mixed with the fact that she wasn't able to confess the same was maddening. The only person who she had let into her heart had done the same thing her parents did. They left her. This sent her into a state of severe depression for months on end, until support from the rest of the McElhaney family coaxed her back into living. It was clear that they knew how Tess felt about him, but still, they never brought it up in front of her. A few days after she decided to get her life back on track, a modeling offer on some island called Manuka presented itself.

Tess willingly agreed, thinking that it was perfect timing to help get over things. So she packed up her stuff, and bid her family good bye, promising to keep in contact.. And now, here she is. The all grown up woman, who was forced to pick up her shattered heart and move on with her life, living in Manuka and thriving on the brightest spotlight. The end.
