party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead It had taken a lot of begging and pouting to drag Remy along, but she had done it. Talia always got what she wanted. Even though she knew the only reason she had convinced him to come along was because they were traveling back to his home state. Talia knew very little about his past since he didn't share too much of it. She just picked up bits of what he said from time to time and pieced them together. Talia had heard he was from New Orleans and she had been dying to go to Mardi Gras for nearly her whole life. The Gay Pride float was what she wanted to see much. Sadly, she'd have to stray away from Remy to go see it. Because the comments that would come out of his mouth would anger her and she didn't like being angry at him. She loved Remy and plus if she were to lash out at him he'd instantly figure out she wasn't human.
Talia was trying so desperately to pretend she was human. It was easier around certain people. She was around Remy so much she allowed herself to grow comfortable and forget what she was doing. Talia would probably find herself grazing her fangs along his neck as a teasing gesture at some point. Being a vampire was starting to become familiar to her and she was afraid she'd just do the completely wrong thing and blow her cover. She feared for that because her life would be threatened and their friendship mostly. Talia had grown so close to Remy. She felt like she was lying to him about everything though. Talia had to hide her own parents, her mental problems, and the fact she was a vampire. She had told Remy somewhat of her mental issues. He knew of her psychiatrist appointments. She never would let him see her whenever she was having her break downs. Talia would never admit she was borderline pyro behavior. She had to hide so much from him.
Their friendship was so dangerous. He would not hesitate to kill her if he knew of her true identity. She felt like it was a fucked up version of some type of superhero wanting to reveal their true identity to the ones they loved. Talia just figured she'd just try to milk out their relationship until she blew out and she'd end up being killed. She was hoping that would never happen. Time with him was like a ticking time bomb. It was intoxicating, but scary nonetheless. She'd grown so attached to Remy, she couldn't bear not talking to him. Hell, they were close enough to be taking a rode trip to his home state. She was happy she had convinced him to go along with her during the night as well.
They had come in the night before and rented a small hotel room with one bed. It wasn't like she hadn't slept in the same bed as him before. Talia happily would have taken something more expensive, but she didn't want to flash her money around in front of Remy like that. Plus they were only going to be there for a night or two. They had spent the day walking through the town. Now it was time to get Remy to go out and party with her. She was still getting ready in front of the mirror in the bathroom. Her hair was its usual long waterfall and her face was as usual not covered in make up. Talia found wearing make up a burden. Well putting it on. She only liked when other people did her make up. Sometimes she'd do the little cat eye with her eyeliner, but usually she'd wipe it off hours later on accident. Talia felt she was too pretty for make up.
She slipped on a sleeveless denim jacket and left it unbuttoned so you could see her bra. Talia usually got looks for the way she dressed. She honestly didn't care. As soon as it got warm Talia barely wore clothes. Apparently it was scolding in Louisiana. She couldn't feel it, but she had to dress like she did. Talia stopped staring at herself in the mirror and plopped down on the made up bed. She pursed her lips and glanced around the room in boredom. It was beginning to get dark outside and she could hear the partiers starting to emerge on Bourbon Street not to far from their dingy hotel room. She doubted any human could hear it as clearly as she could. Talia had told Remy to wait outside the hotel because he didn't take long to get ready. It wasn't like he really cared anyways, which made her smile. She knew he was dreading all the loud noise. But getting out would be good for him. Talia got up and walked to the door and stepped out, closing it behind her.
She walked down the hall and cut through the lobby and was out front. Instantly she spotted Remy. Talia bounced over to him, her hair flying behind her. She smiled up at him when approached him. He was so beautiful. So intense. It sounded corny, but his presence made her feel drunk. Talia grabbed his hand, doing it out of habit. She squeezed it gently."You happy I'm introducing you to the nightlife?" She giggled."Just hold onto me the whole time. Don't want to lose you. I can imagine you acting like a lost child in a crowd looking for his mommy." She said teasingly, smiling from ear to ear. Talia just wanted to grab Remy and squeeze him so tightly. He was so perfect. Despite his quite odd views on certain types of people. Other than that he was overall perfection.

I'M MORE THAN JUST AN OPTION refuse to be forgotten Wow. How Remy had truly dearly missed this city. It was strange, with Remy’s personality, to think that he would enjoy a city like this. Honestly, it was probably one of the most rambunctious cities anyone could have landed in. Yet, there was something about it that warmed his heart all over again. It made him forget. That’s one of the reason he decided to time this trip the way he did. First off, he had been planning to return for quite some time. Leaving this place had been one of the hardest decisions he ever made. A part of him wished he hadn’t left, but then he wouldn’t have found his sister again. He wouldn’t have found the few people in his life that really meant something to him. Too many things wouldn’t have happened. Where he was- it was like the nest of supernatural. It had been the jackpot of any hunter around. Though with that came a very hard price. Remy wasn’t sure how much he wanted to do it anymore. Supernatural were evil, sure, but there were things like… like his angel. Was she evil? He wanted to say yes, but if that were true, what else had he been wrong on?
He certainly hadn’t been wrong with the Ellis clan. They had openly chose the title the dark side, so it wasn’t even a question when he killed Riley Ellis. The second reason he was escaping. The Ellis clan was going to be raging and looking for blood, so he fled the city. The group of course, would never stop at looking for revenge (that’s just how supernatural thought) but he thought it would be better if they calmed down a little bit. Remy was pretty good at covering up his tracks. The only people that really knew of his plan were hunters. He trusted other hunters rather well, as they all had to stick together in a very large main sense. If they couldn’t trust each other, the up brewing war was going to be harder than they would have imagined. Remy was a bit of a loner, but he did see the advantages of standing together instead of trying to separate.
He was already planning to go to the city, so when Talia begged to go with him, it was hard to say no. Oh yes, Talia was hard to say no to. If he was going to take anyone on this small little trip, it would have probably been her anyway. She brought so much light to him in his dark little world he created. She was more than delightful to hang around. Her smile. Her teasing attitude as if nothing in the world was wrong around them. He was fully aware that she had some medical issues, but Remy was certain he was half crazy himself. Not to mention with his sister’s condition, he was pretty lenient on what was going on in her head. Remy would deal with it however he wanted to. It wasn’t a brand new challenge to him. He was sure that bringing Talia was one of the better decisions he had made in his lifetime. Standing in front of the building, he could actually feel all kinds of excitement building up in him. As if he was going to give a tour instead of a friendly walk to the Mardi Gras.
Remy didn’t like parties. But how he loved the Mardi Gras. It seemed that the purpose of the Mardi Gras was to bring a side out of people that you generally didn’t see. So why not let him enjoy that kind of fun? He even left his knives back under his suitcase so that he wouldn’t be tempted to try to hunt anything while he was there. Even the supernatural could have a day off. It did feel a little empty in his pockets, so he packed it with money. Mostly dollar so that it could really fill them. Most of the things they would have to pay for were little payments that came in a lot of loads. Standing there with his hands in his pockets, he took a moment to look around. They picked a good spot. It was a small place, but the location had to be right around the corner to where most of the action was. He could smell the food from there. He could hear the cheerful shouts and the men yelling to sell their things to everyone that managed to walk by. He visited his very own business that day. Everyone seemed so welcoming to the boss, glad that he was able to see them again after so long. The business was thriving, but it had been a popular spot. He even worked for a few hours just to make himself feel better.
Now it was time for Talia and him to explore to see the highlight of the evening. Most people were already on the way to being so drunk, but it didn’t matter to him. His tolerance was a little higher (though he wasn’t complete immune. He was sure there was going to be someone to make him agitated) but he was going to try his best. Talia wasn’t going to want to drag a very irritable Remy back to the place anyway. It was the least he could do for having her come with him. She would have been better than any of the other choices he had. His hair dropped slightly until he heard quick feet coming toward him. His eyes darted back and saw that Talia (in her usual wear… not that Remy complained) and felt her grab his hand. ”If chu were gonna do it, it’d be in dis city.” He commented, finding it a little ironic that in Manuka, he was Cajun. Here- he was just from home. He wasn’t sure how tired of the accent she was going to get, because it was just about all she was going to be hearing.
Remy laughed gently and twirled gracefully to her other side while still holding her hand, giving an excuse to put his arm at her waist. ”Chu won’t lose me. If I shall, I can spot chu from a mile away.” He told her teasingly, ducking his head slightly toward her they started to walk toward the big square. The excitement rose in him again as his home lit up the dark creases in his face. ”You blend with de city, no? Looking as beautiful as you do.” Despite Talia being a model, Remy had the professional opinion that she wasn’t called beautiful enough. Models had a different kind of style that was referred to as something else. Remy flirted quite a bit, but the general word beautiful wasn’t really passed out very often. He used it to describe New Orleans. And he used it to describe Talia.

party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead Talia knew she'd have to calm herself down a bit once they did hit Bourbon Street. Especially when she was drinking. She didn't want to run Remy off with her wildness. Talia wouldln't completely stop her ways because she'd be bored, but she would tone it down enough for Remy to be able to handle her. Talia didn't need to get belliigerent like she did usually. It was her first time at Mardi Gra so she couldn't promise it. She was pretty sure Remy would watch over her though. Talia had warned him how she got sometimes. She had scared off many people in her short lifetime. Talia was pretty sure that Remy could holdd his own.
If he could kill people for a living then he could deal with a bit of crazy Talia for more than a few hours. She was so excited and she could feel his own excitement radiating off of him. Talia knew he would guide her safely through his home city. She had never seen him look this happy and she was going to make sure she wasn't going to spoil it. She'd make sure he enjoyed his night. He would probably enjoy it regardless because they were together and they usually had fun around eachother. Talia still had to watch her actions though. Sometimes she just let herself get too carried away when she was having fun.
She had kind of lost herself not even a few weeks ago when she was out with Xan. Talia had felt high from the blood she had gotten and while dancing with him and getting lost in the music she had bitten him. Crazy Xan being himself enjoyed it and her doing that lead to other things. If Talia found herself doing that with Remy her head would probably get cut off. That scared her so even if she was going to be a bit liquored up she'd feel sober enough not to do something as stupid as that. Pluss she knew if he did end up killing her one day many people would go after him themselves. You would think Talia would hate Remy for the fact that he would kill her in a second if he knew what she waas, but she couldn't because technically she was lying to him so she wouldn't blame him.
She couldn't keep her eyes off of him whenever they spoke. Talia had told him many times he should just ditch hunting and become a model because he was so unbelievably attractive and Talia wouldn't mind having a few shoots with him. Since half her shoots she was barely clothed she really wouldn't mind. It was more than obvious that any girl would be dumb if they weren't attracted to Remy. They were straight up stupid.
As she grabbed his hands, almostt as reflex his hand was at her waist. Talia loved the easiness of their friendship. It felt so natural even though they both came from two different backgrounds. Remy was so quiet and Talia just wasn't."I'd probably just come back to find some ugly girls trying to hook up with you and then I'd have to come to the rescue." Talia put her freehand on her hip and sucked her stomach, pushing her chest out as if she were some corny superhero. She laughed and relaxed her body as they began to walk away from the hotel. Talia would probably have to keep her eye on Remy so no girls would try to hit on him. She doubted he would even try to get with any girls or she'd kick him. If they had traveled all that way just so he could go sleep with some ugly slut then Talia would have gotten two rooms. She would let it happen if they had room for it. Plus Remy wouldn't be rude enough to stare at girls while he was with her. That wass just one thing you didnt do.
Talia laughed at his next words. That was true. She was easy to spot in a big crowd because she looked and dressed so differently. Talia was a pale girl with long, flowy black hair and barely an clothes and a corny smile on her face. She had a face yoou wouldn't forget that was why her manager signed for her."Are you trying to call me ugly?" Talia teased back, giggling like a mad woman. She loved their back and forth teasing. It made her blush and smile like a litle girl. As they began to walk she felt herself growing more excited. It was time for her to forgeet all about all her stress and aggrivation and just let go. Plus she haad Remy to do it with. She'd loosen him up good.
Talia's green eyes flashed over to his face as he spoke again and a wide grin spread across her face. Why was he so damn adorable? She just wanted to hug him forever and not let go."Aww, thanks. Stop being so sweet before I punch you..' She bumped into him lightly, smiling. Talia looked back in front of them as a few drunken girls walked past them complaining loudly about how much their feet hurt and apparently one girls dress got torn. She shook her head and glanced at Remy raising her eyebrows and letting out a chuckle. Some girls, man.
The music and laughter seemed to be getting louder and louder as they continued walking and they soon found themselves on the beautifully lit up and colorful Boubon Street. Her eyes lit up in amazement and she allmost found herself sprinting into the crowd, but stopped herself. Talia and Remy continued to walk and she laughed as a random man in a mime costume put some beads over her head. She pulled her hair over the beads and thanked the man. Talia felt they should just stay outside for a bit before she dragged him into a bar. She had done her research on some of the bars and she knew exactly where she wanted to take Remy.

I'M MORE THAN JUST AN OPTION refuse to be forgotten It was interesting. For one of the few times in his life, he found that this could have been the potential of a perfect evening. An evening that was without flaws and made him feel light and worry-free. More like the life he had back home. It made him feel at home even. Like himself. In his line of work, there were too many times he had to act as someone else to get what he wanted. Sometimes the smart guy who was just trying to find something at the library (Remy actually wore glasses to read but no one was really aware of that). Other times he was the player that was trying to smooth talk his way into a hookup. There were few other characters between- jewelry salesman, cars salesman, bartender, clerk, waiter, mechanic, and just about all the other jobs in between. Here, he was just Remy. Taking a break off of hunting was a relief on itself and having the relief vacation of spending it with his favorite person in his favorite city was such a blessing. He just wished he could stay here forever. Did he really have to go back to Manuka?
Who wouldn’t enjoy this? It didn’t matter who someone was. Going here was like an experience all on it’s own. Sometimes it would diverse from a travel back in time all the way to something new and exciting. He could probably walk around here like he owned the place. It was interesting how much he adored the city, but there were still parts that he hadn’t seen. Not that he wanted to see them. New Orleans was like any other city that someone would be in. There was the good neighborhood with the beautiful houses, the middle city where the entire middle class lived with all the business surrounding them with only a couple of blocks away- which is where Talia and Remy were staying- and the bad side of the neighborhood, where Remy had done all of his supernatural hunting when he was hunting here. Except supernatural in Manuka were pretty much extinct thanks to the hunters that had moved temporarily to this area at one point. He was sure plenty of tourists took the form as supernatural, but again- it was a night off for everyone. It was hard not to think about it all the time, but Talia made it much easier.
He laughed lightly at his comment, knowing that it was bound to happen. With Remy’s large slight addiction, if he couldn’t find anyone, he was bound to go anywhere. It was women like Talia that saved him. He shouldn’t have been so harsh on the ones that weren’t as fortunate looking as Talia, but at the same time, it did show that he was a desperate man sometimes. He felt so vulnerable. People said that they were sex addicts, but to actual crave it and need it as badly as someone else might have wanted a cigarette was nerve racking. No one really had a clue unless they had the addiction themselves. It almost annoyed him the way people were so easy to throw the addict term out there. Still. Out of all the addictions to have, he supposed, that couldn’t have been the worst one. ”Oh dat’s good. It’d be ‘errible if somedin, like dat were to ‘appen. It’s de entire reason I brought chu along, don’t you know?” He asked, teasing her further and laughing lightly at it, feeling content with keeping her close. This may have been called a date to others. He wasn’t sure what this was. As long as both of them understood the unnamed level at where they were at, it wasn’t as if Remy thought about it too much. No, that would be too much to stress over. He liked to keep things as simple as possible in the complicated life.
Her giggle filled his ears and he couldn’t help but make a sideways smile toward it. She was so happy. Remy couldn’t imagine her in any other condition, despite what some rumors about her had been told. Ah well. He was sure he was different to her than he was to most people. The sweet way she could have her cheeks grow pink. If all it took was compliments to bring that adorable face out, Remy could continue with those all night just to see if she would ever get use to it. His guesses from the past experiences were a no. ”Why, dere is no way I cou’d eva call you ugly. No way, shape, or form.” He announced, shaking his head as if he had thought about it many times, laughing more so when they continued on their way. It was taking them a little longer to get to an around the corner place just at the easy pace they were going. He was still just easily watching her face as they grew closer to the city, beaming when she beamed.
He held up the opposite hand in defense as she continued, not being able to at least keep the smallest sideways smile on his face, ”Oh, alright, alright. For now.” He commented, seeing that they were there already. The colors ran up at once as people were bustling about, running around and trying to buy and sell. A couple of those who started early and were heading back with torn feet, looking at Talia and shaking his head with her as well. Oh that wasn’t even going to be the worse she was going to see. Remy himself had been debating about drinking at the event, as he knew that alcohol tended to bring out his other animal side a little too early, but again- this was the night of everything else. The entire night was supposed to be dedicated to living only one life. Bringing it all out. Still, he wasn’t sure if he would be embarrassed in front of her or not. He was a little bit… well she had seen his other animal before, but not quite like this.
When they reached the pain part, at once the movement and the music hit him. It took him a moment to get use to it, but he kept a smile on his face, taking a deep breath and smelling the atmosphere. Just the smell was enough to make him miss it so much. There was a man who put beads over the beautiful women like Talia that went on his way. There were a couple of other people waving them over to come buy stuff or give them ‘for free’ but Remy shook his head. Oh, he knew his business was around here somewhere. There were even a couple of people he had known from business he gave a wave to and such. Oh, he felt like he blended here so well. Home of the outcasts and misfits. ”Oh, I’ve missed dis Cherie. I’ve missed it.” He mused lightly, keeping a good tight hold on her as he felt his shoulders move a little bit to the beat of the live music. Now it was jazz. Jazz and New Orleans went together well. party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead Talia had such high spirits. She was mixing two different parts of her lifestyle together. Remy never mixed in with the side of her that was a wild drunken ball of energy. It was like a miracle that he was there. It was something new for both of them to experience. Talia obviously wouldn't be over the top like she usually was because she wanted to keep an eye on him. He knew he way around better than she did, but she would be so all over the place if anything happened to him. Remy had told her quite a few times he was a different person when alcohol was in him so she was afraid he'd accidently hurting someone else. Talia wouldn't let that happen.
She knew he was perfectly capable of handling himself in any situation. Talia just couldn't help but be protective over him. It was the same from his side as well. He probably thought she was as helpless as anything. So of course he'd have his hunter senses all alert through the night. Talia would get him to relax though. She was going to make him drink a little bit. He needed to loosen up a bit and let loose. Fuck all that murdering people. Remy needed a break. She had heard some scary rumors abouut him. Talia was hoping and hoping it wasn't true. He was so afraid and worried for him. Being here was a good idea. Away from all that. She noticed the tenseness. Talia picked up a lot from him.
Talia was rarely very protective over people. Remy was risking him life basically everyday hunting down supernaturals and that scared her. She wasn't going to tel him to stop because that wasn't her place. As long as he didn't go after her other friends then she wouldn't speak up. That was his own life and she tried not to judge. He judge her for what she did for a living so she wouuld just keep her mouth shut.. It was bad that she was just worried about one of her friends. Talia just wished she didn't have to hide so much shit frorm him. That was painful for her to know that she was straight up lying to his face almost always.
Talia just wanted to be honest with him because she really cared about him. She wasn't even really sure what they were, but she loved the simplicity and that they chose not to define it. Talia felt the term friends with benefits wasn't strong enough. She was pretty sure that was what they were, but whatever. Like said before she chose not to dwell on it. Talia knew Remy liked to sleep with women and she had no problem with it, but she knew she would get jealous if she saw him with another girl. It was confusing and she wanted to avoid the situation.'Welll I am good for those type of things. I'll keep your space rat girl free. Promise.' She wasn't going to be a huge cock block. Talia was going to make sure he wasn't going to do something that would piss her off and ruin the whole night. And she'd make sure not to piiss him off as well.
She pushed her mind back to reality and the mere perfection of the night. Talia's whole face seemed to turn red from the compliment. He had the most perfect way with words. No wonder so manyy women wanted to sleep with him. Remy could simply talk anyone to take their clothes off with only saying a few words. It was kind of amazing. Talia smiled, trying her best not to look llike a little school girl."You better stop sweet talking me. I know what you're trying to get.' Talia leaned up slightly and gave him a quick peck on the cheek, giggling. She was only kidding of course. Talia loved when Remy did all that sweet talk making her blush and act like a thirteen year old with her first crush. Plus Remy barely even had to say anything to get what she was implying. He was just so unf, it was sometimes hard for her. Talia was so horrible sometimes, it made her laugh.
Talia was going to reply to Remy's next words, but the sudden burst of energy from Bourbon street distracted her instantly. She had to keep herself from running in every direction in excitemeent. So much stuff was going on at once. Talia looked over at Remy and smiled brightly at him. All the colors and the noise and the atmosphere was so beautiful. She bit down on her bottom lip as she tried to hide her smile when Remy spoke again. The tone to his voice made her want to squee. He sounded so happy.
Talia looked over at Remy and felt an amused look flash across her face as she noticed the swaying of his shoulders. Was he dancing? That was something new. Talia playfully bumped him, swaying her hips a bit to the rhythmic jazz music. She lifted his hand up and did a small twirl, laughing to herself. Talia was now in front of him, walking backwards as she still held his hand. She could sense what was behind her and it was a clear walking path. They were walking slow anyways. Talia moved so she was walking beside him again."Ready to be dragged in there?" She pointed a bit a ways down the street where she wanted she take him. It was a nice bar/club scene. Something he could handle. Talia wanted to let him enjoy th outdoors for a bit more, hence why theyy were walking slow. She just wanted him to have the best night.

I'M MORE THAN JUST AN OPTION refuse to be forgotten Remy was afraid that perhaps at first, he was going to have slowly get back into the atmosphere. If it had been any other city, Remy would have hated it. Perhaps he had more tolerance for here because this is where he grew. He grew up in his other town as an outcast but he just fit here so well. Now that he came back, it almost seemed all the puzzle pieces were together in the full picture again. Something was missing from his life. Remy naively thought the thing he was missing was something like this city, but what he didn’t know was it was his own loneliness. There was no sign that would really indicate that, since he was so busy all the time, but it really was. Now that he had the proper company, he felt whole again. He didn’t’ know any better, so he would blame it on the city.
One of the many downsides about being a hunter was the individual loneliness of it. Someone like Remy could defiantly deal with individual work, but not forever. Just about every single moment. That was one of the things about the new work he was doing. Kinsley- a fellow hunter- was helping him out. They grew pretty close during the entire Ellis thing, and part of him thought maybe he should have taken her to New Orleans, but the thought of taking Talia was a better plan to him. He actually wasn’t even sure why. Sure, Kinsley would have been delightful to have with him considering how similar they were. Yet, with Talia, he was able to smile and laugh quite a bit more. Which was saying quite a bit. Plus two hunters disappearing at the same time was probably a clear enough sign as opposed to just one accidently.
She was right on one thing. She was good for that type of thing. No, Remy didn’t think much of the five year difference they had between them. It was legal and she looked a lot older than she was. No one else would think of it. ”I’ll ‘ave to return de favor.” With a swift wink, he kept her closer walking with him in the streets. Oh yes, she looked older than she was. In fact, he was sure that some of her magazine articles required some serious signing and regulations considering she was under twenty-one. She was over eighteen, so that must have helped her. Remy had gone through the business world before. He knew quite a bit about contracts and such, but not much about the publicity world. The celebrity of it all. It would be pretty reasonable if one person here might have recognized her. Remy had to be one of the few people that met her before she went on the magazine cover. Or before she knew she would. He couldn’t imagine the life of a model. How nerve-racking. He had been offered a job in high school, but he laughed at the thought. Oh, no, absolutely not.
At the kiss on the cheek, he ducked his head a little bit and made a crooked smile, as if he were embarrassed. Both of them were just teasing back and forth. He assumed that he knew what was going to happen. It was funny. Even if that didn’t happen, although his body with the addiction would be raging mad, he didn’t think it would bother him as much as he liked to hint it would. Part of his job was really feeding that addiction of his. To take a few nights off wouldn’t have been bad. On the other hand… oh, he shouldn’t think too much about it and get ahead of himself. He had the entire night to go nuts and wild. That was the entire point of the city-wide party. He did have all week to see what would happen if he were to drink. Get it over with tonight? The last time he drank, he got into a nasty fight. The animal side of him could turn into something fun or some monster that could have easily been mistaken for any supernatural at any time of day. Though horrible cases only happened a couple of times through high school. It was those times that kept him drinking water at the bars.
Hopefully she wouldn’t’ have to see that. She would just see the funny, same teasing Remy that she was seeing now. ”Widout de sweet talk, it dun be as much fun.” Which he supposed were true in most cases. It would all depend who he was talking with. Some of them just wanted to skip every bit of sweet talk and skip to the chase. That was all well and good, but not someone he actually liked and cared about. Without it, it was emotionless. Bland. Not bad, persay, but Remy couldn’t take that for a long period of time. The man was human and as he knew, humans had the compassion and emotion need as well as anyone else. In his mind, that’s what made him different than the supernatural he hunted. He was still human. The more he hunted, the more he had to remind himself that sometimes, but yes, times like these proved his human nature still there. His care. Remy was only an evil bastard half the time.
Dragged? More like brought on carriage. Still, he could see that the scene wasn’t his usual ‘liking’. It was just so different. If he got too tired of it, there was a million other places they could go. To go to his old shop would have even been a delight. Part of him wanted to show her around and show her what he could do. Part of the little pride he still had left in him. He wove his blonde hair back as he walked in. At once, he could see the bustle of people, some dressed up for the occasion and some not. In any way, they blended in better than he even imagined they would. A grand smile came on his face as the lights really brought out the blue in his eyes. He did keep a close eye on Talia. Drunk people usually equaled the wanting to grab something that was pretty. And everyone knew Talia was beautiful.

party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead New Orleans was much different from Manuka. It was so lively, even before that very night. Manuka was only quiet unless other supernaturals wanted to create a bad name for themselves. She could only imagine what Remy did growing up in a town like that and the thought made her smile. A teenage Remy almost sounded comical. He probably was more sex driven than he already was and she already knew bad he could have been. The confidence on that man could get anyone into his arms and he knew that. Talia knew the just the same though. A certain look in her eyes and the just the right amount of body contact did it for others.
She had to quite a bit of flirting at parties just to get her name around sometimes, even if she detested it. Talia usually skipped those annoying parties. Those were for the huge attention whores. She could list a long name of other models who just climbed up every magazine producer's ass. It annoyed the hell out of Talia. There was a different between being polite and being a bit pushy. She figured her name was pretty out there by now. It was easier for her manager to find little jobs for her. Talia was so willing to do whatever, it brought a lot of attention to her.
Her job filled her mind constantly, even when she was supposed to be enjoying her time with Remy. He was probably still thinking about hunting as well. She knew that was something that couldn't easily be ignored since his senses were always alert and she was pretty sure New Orleans wasn't the safest place to walk around at at night anyways.
Luckily she had someone to protect her, even though she could very well do a lot of damage to anyone who stepped at her the wrong way. She'd just let him do all the hard work if that were to happen, even though she heavily doubted it would. Talia respected Remy so much for his determination. She didn't really like his views on supernaturals, but she did respect his dedication and determination over anything. Remy was a stubborn man and she loved that about him. She would rather forget what he really does with his own job.
Excitement was coursing through her and she could not shake it off. The smile definitely could not be wiped off of her face and their cute little bantering was worse. Talia was hoping for a good night. Remy had warned her and warned her about how he'd rather her not see him intoxicated, but she doubted he was that bad. Plus she would not let him go past his limits because she honestly had no idea what kind of drunk he would be. She was sensing very violent or aggressive and she didn't really ever want to see that side of him, but this was night all for letting go and having fun.
A few drinks wouldn't hurt him. She'd introduce him to the good life. Talia ducked her head down, laughing and shaking her head at his response. She doubted he would have to do anything. Not many men approached her, she was the one to execute things usually. There were those few men who had that burst of confidence and tried to hit on her. Talia would just keep all the annoyingly horny women away from Remy and make sure she showed him a nice night without disgusting females.
Talia already knew after they came back from the club it would probably lead into something. It always did when they slept in the same room. She always had Remy come by her house just for the intention of something innocent and it turned into that. The two couldn't control themselves at times. She rolled her eyes playfully at his next comment,"You're a mess, Remy," Talia said with a laugh. That sweet talk could get him anywhere. She wished she was as good with her words as he was. Talia just used her sex appeal most times to get what she wanted. She just knew how her body worked and she used it to her advantage when she saw someone attractive.
They were still a walks away from the place she wanted to take him. Talia watched him silently for a moment as they finally walked in. She made sure to avoid any and all sports bars for the time being because that was where it was probably extremely packed. Talia studied the scenery around her and began to pull him deeper into the crowds of people. Most people ignored the two as they pushed through them and others stared. The two were a complete contrast she had to admit. She weighed out her options on where to start. Talia didn't want to get him drunk instantly, but they had to start somewhere.
She finally made it to the bar and leaned up to tell Remy she'd just order for him and didn't even wait for an objection. Talia came back with two drinks and shoved one at him. She instantly downed hers and set it back down on the bartop and looked over at Remy again,"Go ahead. It won't hurt you. Just don't do what I just did. That's what will hurt you." She chuckled, talking directly in his ear so he can hear her over the loud music. The bass was rumbling her chest and she loved the feeling. Talia ran her hands through her hair, swaying slightly to the music. She could not wait to dance. Talia was only giving him that drink for a small starter. She was dragging him off to dance as soon as he was finished.

I'M MORE THAN JUST AN OPTION refuse to be forgotten Over and over before he left, he heard his paranoid parents telling him that he should be prepared for culture shock. They weren’t going to be there to bail him out of anything. There he was, going out into the world alone with no future plans except to survive. He was sure that his parents had been worried about what Remy was going to do with his life. His family was a disappointment to him as they thought he would have been to them. Never once did his parents have to bail him out. Whatever trouble he found him into he fixed. It had been hard. Or at least, at that time, it seemed hard. He guessed he would rather face something like debt as opposed to the creatures. Each and every time he faced a supernatural, man, woman, or child, he was terrified. It was the way he hunted. Which was one of the reasons he didn’t like hunting with others. There were too many weaknesses someone could just point out.
Remy really was a mess. There was no doubt about it. He never thought of himself that way, as he had other stories to compare to that ended up being far worse than his. It was hard to think of anything else, really. If anything, he was going to be a hot mess. Remy hadn’t even thought about it. He didn’t think that way. He thought of his flaws constantly, but not what his flaws may have made him as a person. It didn’t seem important. The number of important things in his life were decreasing by the moment. You would think his mind would come up with more important qualities everywhere, but on the contrary, it acted as if it didn’t even care. Some days he really didn’t. It would be better if he didn’t care about his life. It’d make him a dangerous man. Fearless. There was nothing to fear. But with that, he wasn’t sure what his other weapon would be.
Though it was meant playfully. That’s how he took it. He went closer to her as he saw a couple of other people coming this way. A couple that looked like they had started celebrating a couple of hours- or days- early. Whatever made them happy. He was still not looking forward to this whole drinking thing. Pleasant memories came from drinking but also, a weird uncontrolled group of memories that could leave to a very awkward or strained rest of the time at New Orleans trips. He should have saved drinking for the last day, but Talia wasn’t going to have any of it. She seemed to be oblivious if you caught Remy on the wrong streak mood. It was the very reason drinking had only come up a few times in his life. He just hoped that the environment he was placed in would make it the better one. The city he loved. Yes, the city he adored. The place he somehow fit.
He took a small laugh, answering without thought or hesitation, ”Some are attracted by dat, hm?” Although, Remy wasn’t sure if he understood it. He didn’t understand it because he hadn’t really liked a girl since Tesslyn- although Kinsley was enough to distract him- but the model was still in the city. He was sure. For how long was always up in the air, but all the same. Little ironic that he was hanging with a model now. It was apparent that Remy enjoyed the company of attractive women- professionally beautiful and not professionally. Though he would have to say that professionally didn’t really make a woman beautiful. He saw some of the models that managed to get in there. It could have just been his personal tastes (but considering he had a broad choice of personal taste) he didn’t find them attractive. There was something else that had to come with women. To actual enjoy the company. Solid fluid voice. Something that wasn’t going to make his ears bleed or his head throb. Someone he wasn’t desperate for physically but mentally.
Remy watched her drink and his eyes got a little bigger. There was something in his stomach that turned a little bit as he looked at his own glass in front of him. The part of him that said don’t do it, don’t do it. The other part of him was saying it was about time go ahead have a good time with the woman you want. Talia’s words whispered ever so soothingly in his ear. The loud boom in that room started to pound and match the heart beat in his chest. Regret nothing. Forget about the outside world. It was just him, New Orleans, and the beautiful model beside him. He grabbed the one drink and knew it wasn’t going to stop here. He felt the burn on his tongue and his throat and he automatically felt warm. Wanting more at once. He slammed it down and took a moment to adjust, as he wasn’t the normal drinker. He forgot how bitter it taste. ”And what exactly did you do?” He asked in amusement. The alcohol wasn’t going to kick in until a while. It wasn’t going to for about thirty minutes. ”More importantly, how much of dese am I taking?” He asked half teasingly half amused. His eyes glanced over to her hips and saw that indeed she was already starting to dance. I TOOK A CHANCE WITH MY HEART and i feel it takin over

party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead Talia wished she could completely let herself loose that night, but there were many things she had to watch herself do. She doubted Remy would much care to see her intoxicated if he had alcohol in his system as well. His usual senses would be dimmed slightly. Talia was a bit careless with hiding the fact she wasn't human when she had alcohol in her system. She had many times freaked others out when she was dancing with them she had let her teeth run another the veins of their neck. Talia had sunken her teeth into Xan when she got carried away with herself. He had enjoyed it and thankfully didn't completely abandon her after that. She had to make sure not to let herself do that with Remy. Maybe if she was out of his sight for a bit, but she didn't want to risk it. Talia let herself get a bit too wild sometimes and plus she had to keep an eye on Remy. Even if he did know the town much better than she did, she couldn't have a drunken hunter roaming the streets without her. That was not a good idea for either of them.
It was nice to be away from Manuka and spend time with one of her good friends. Her anxiety was always through the roof back at her place because of the many frustrating aspects in her life. Therapy was helping her get through the anxiety and try to focus on happier things, but it was hard some days. Being with Remy on a small little vacation really brought her mood up and she hadn't been so happy in a long time. She wouldn't let her stresses back at home affect her night with her friend. Talia would have as much fun as she would allow herself. She just wanted to make sure Remy had a great time. There was no way they would go back to the hotel unsatisfied. Even if they did, Talia would make sure to change that.
Talia would not let her emotions get into between there friendship. There were moments where she did look at him and just wonder, but they would probably be better off as friends. Neither of them were the relationship type and that was exactly why their friendship was set up in the way it was. It was almost as if they were a couple, just without all the sappy romance and other things that made Talia sick. She narrowed her eyes teasingly at him."I guess you could say I am, then." Talia said with slight amusement. She guessed it was true. They both were a bit of a mess in a sense. Remy was a great guy but he had his obvious faults and opinions she couldn't respect and Talia was just a mess all over. There was no need for explaining. She had no clue why others even bothered with socializing with her.
Talia was very good at hiding her emotions though. She had to, especially in her career field. Talia had come across men who completely disgusting and could not control their wandering eyes during photoshoots. She had to keep on her poker face or she'd be at a loss of another picture in her portfolio. She was good at hiding her mental issues, but she was open about it with her friends. Talia wouldn't let her "illnesses" define her as a person and at least tried to pretend she was happy. She had to say she was actually extremely happy for once being there in New Orleans. It was a completely different atmosphere and she liked the temporary change of scenery.
She could say she was a heavy drinker, but she had to be considering she was a vampire it took a bit longer for the toxins to float to her brain. Talia wasn't going to try and kill Remy's liver like hers probably would be dead if she still was a human. She set her drink back on the bartop and turned back to Remy with encouraging eyes. He was conflicted on whether to drink it or not. Talia stop swaying to the music and took a step closer to him."I'm not an expert obviously," She teased right back as she watched him finish off the drink finally. Talia gave him a slow clap of approval, just to be an asshole. She grabbed his hand and pulled him a bit aways from the bar.
Talia ran her hands slowly down his chest, making sure there was very little space between them. Talia rolled her body up against him, going along with the heavy beat of the music."You can dance, right? Let's see how your fit, little hunter body can move." She said into his ear, only playing around with him. Talia knew how he could move in body behind closed doors, but never along to music. He probably was about as decent at it as she was."I bet you find my corniness sexy, don't you?" She giggled, her face growing hot. Talia kept a hold on his hands and brought her face close to his and brushed her lips against his, lingering there before abruptly pulling completely away from him. Talia laughed loudly, which was drowned out from the loud music, and began to sway her body along to the music again watching Remy with a grin.

I'M MORE THAN JUST AN OPTION refuse to be forgotten Maybe it was just a guy thing, but Remy liked to not look past what he saw. He didn’t like complicating things that weren’t complicated. The only thing he dug was when he was on the job. When it came to the social life that was limited anyway- his eye only focused on the surface. He didn’t sit there and wonder what she could have meant by that with inner dialogue. Though he might have suggested it with his sometimes intense looks, he liked to keep that different. The social aspect of his life versus the professional aspect was what he had to deal with. The professional was slowly taking over. How could anyone else really guess anything different with the Cajun? He certainly had known it was going to happen whether he liked it or not. It was a choice he took in the manner. Remy was going to have to accept it. That’s why when he was here, he tried to keep it apart from his mind. As well as for the sake of Talia because he was sure the last thing she wanted to spend time with was hunter Remy.
Attracted to the messes? Interesting. Remy never thought of Talia as one of those types, but he supposed he was glad for it. Otherwise, why would she be here? Remy was aware she had some things bothering her, but never knew just how much it was always bothering her. Even to this day. Well he couldn’t say that most of what they talked about was that deep, but he just assumed that was for reasons. If she wanted to talk about it, she had to know that Remy would listen. Remy may have not been the most happy and sparkle all the time person in the world, but the man was loyal to what he knew. There was hardly flip flopping unless something major changed about someone. If he knew them- in his mind, there was little that could happen. Supernatural he supposed among that list, but what were the odds of that? Remy felt like he protected most of who he knew.
She was such a tease. It drove him crazy all the time, and he was certain she didn’t know how much. Remy’s poker face was unbelievable. He could have become and actor and had gotten away with it. Alas- he decided to go into business. Which at the sales peak of the business perspective was much rather like acting. Being friendly to those he wanted to kick out of the store simply because they had a lot of green in the wallet. Someone that needed a little extra push. Also going along with his persuasive skills, which didn’t use as often as one might have thought. Most of the time, whatever happened in his life just kind of happened. He didn’t think about his hunter hobbies the way he did all of that madness. He was forbidden to think about hunting. Yes, it crossed his mind often, but he tried to keep it somewhere back and unhidden from the face he was showing now. The thrill of being in the place he blended so well. The ones still joking and calling him a ‘white devil’ since that was what ‘Remy’ meant. Such a fitting title. He didn’t think his mother did that on purpose, but his family mostly called him Oliver anyway.
He smiled at her, beaming slightly as he watched her move. The way it flowed so well. Just moving her hips without really having to dance. Just the way she walked. She was waiting for him and when he took it, he heard a slow clap come from her. A mischievous smirk came across his lips as he made a face at her, ”Give me a break cherie, I ‘aven’t drunk for years.” Maybe an exaggeration, but he supposed it had been a couple of years. Just not being able to remember the last time he sent liquor to his lips. He also remembered… not remembering anything. Remy seriously could never remember a damned thing when he was drunk. It was like waking up with a complete blackout of what just happened. Part of it scared him, as he didn’t know what he effected or hadn’t done properly, but he had lucked on in the past. It was only drunk. Hopefully, it wouldn’t get that much. Just enough to loosen up. He also knew the odds of that were slim to none, but there was always some hope in his eyes.
He pushed against her a little more when she carried on to tease him. He felt the way her body moved just as he had been watching a moment ago. Ah, yes, he had been doing this for quite some time now. There was something about dancing with someone. The way a pair could connect in ways that wouldn’t be able to say with words. Though Remy and Talia had already perfected that. ”Mmm, I might surprise chu.” He grinned, strolling his hands down her hips before she kissed him and left him to stand there for a couple of minutes. Like the obedient messy mutt he was, he walked toward her and brushed against her, ”Dun do dat.” He teased, referring to her kissing and fleeing to get him to come more. Did he mean it? No. But it was all a part of the fun he was having. With a very swift move, he did move a little bit to the beat with her His moves were white. White hot that is. party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead Talia had no idea how long she'd be able to actually keep herself from pouncing on Remy. She knew it wouldn't take long. They were always humping like rabbits whenever they had the chance. She could not think of anybody she was more attracted to physically and mentally. Talia wished she knew more about Remy and was deeper inside of his mind. They both kept so much from eachother and she wished they didn't. She acted as if she were an open book, but she always skirted around the things she knew he wouldn't be able to handle knowing. Talia figured he only didn't tell her more things about himself because of his job. She had no idea how he kept that all to himself. Maybe he spoke with Jude or something because there was no way he could have that all pent up inside of him. He probably took it out on all the supernaturals. Talia felt like that was the only rational thing he could do. Whenever she had pent up emotions inside she acted nearly insane. She felt like she could barely deal with her emotions when she just had to sit there with them sinking in her chest.
The vampire wasn't even sure if she ever even seen a bad side to Remy. There might have been times when he snapped at her, but she never saw the raw, insecure sides of him like he had seen of her. She doubted she would ever see them either. Talia was such an emotional person she was surprised she didn't annoy the hell out of him. She figured the sex kept him from snapping her neck. There had been guys who told her they'd like her a lot better if she didn't talk. Over the years those comments began eating at her and her insecurities grew worse. Talia tried her best to act as confident as she could around Remy, but sometimes she just cracked. She didn't necessarily like showing that side of her to him. It brought them closer though. Talia was just awaiting the time when she would need to help him. Which would probably be never.
All the hunters she had met did not like getting help from others. They did everything themselves and were so offended when you tried to butt in. Yet, at the drop of a dime they'd rush to her aid to help the "human". Talia had no idea why not one hunter had realized she was a vampire and come after her. Maybe she needed to train other vampires on how to actually act so obvious. Attacking humans was not the way to hide from hunters. People needed to be more crafty to learn how to survive. Talia wasn't the smartest crayon in the box, but she knew how to get by. It was mostly common sense and a lot of practice. One of her biggest fears of dying by the hand of a hunter. That was such a bad way to go. She could only imagine how scary that would be.
She had no idea where her thoughts were jumping to, but she quickly brought herself back to reality. Talia laughed as she watched Remy take back the drink. She patted the side of his face gently and pecked his lips lightly."Alright, whatever you say, Remy." Talia beamed at him. She wanted to hurry up and get him at least tipsy. He would probably be a blast. Either that or a complete disaster. She was hoping for the latter. Talia just wanted to dance and let everything about the night take over. She wanted to feel the heartbeat of Remy against her as they danced to the pounding bass. Talia wanted to glide her body along with the music and bring Remy along with her. She loved to dance. If she hadn't taken up modeling she definitely would have pursued dancing. Talia loved to move her body. She loved moving her hips sensually with the beat and just letting it all take over. It all sounded like gibberish and repetitive when she explained to others but she loved it.
Whenever she danced with another person she always made sure there was no space between them. She loved feeling their blood course through their veins and their hearts racing as they moved with each other. Same with sex. It was exhilarating. Talia just loved being close to another person. Ever since she became a vampire, her heightened senses just made everything she liked before even more enjoyable. She just knew she wanted not one inch of space between her and Remy. Talia loved the way his body felt pressed up against hers even with their clothes on. She loved the feeling of skin on skin even more. Talia could wait until later for that though. She was just trying to focus on having a good time with Remy and help him loosen up a bit. It seemed to be working a bit.
Talia absolutely loved to tease Remy. The wave of excitement that it sent through her was better than any high. She bit down on her lip subtly as he ran his hands down her hips while they danced. She pulled herself away abruptly to tease him. Talia gripped onto him as he brushed against her. She turned her back to him and began to move her hips along with the beat as she pressed against him. Talia grabbed his hand and turned herself around, but left a small space between them. She looked up at him with a taunting look. "I guess you can keep up with me." She said into his ear. Talia gripped at his shirt and forcefully pulled him closer to sex things up again. She moved her body against him, her lips grazing against her jaw. Talia wondered how long they would actually stay at the club before deciding to just go back to the hotel. She wanted to see how long it would actually take him.

I'M MORE THAN JUST AN OPTION refuse to be forgotten Between many lovers, there was this unspoken challenge and game to see how long it would be before the pair couldn’t really take it anymore. He didn’t understand the point in this game. Why wait? Yet like everyone else, he played it too. Playing with Talia was probably the hardest of all of them. He did want her to have a good time through the streets of New Orleans before she did something she did all the time. Although there might be a new adrenaline rush from being in this magnificent city. Remy always felt that this place was home. Manuka was a great place, but he didn’t fit as well in there as he did here. He would have moved, but Jude was back in his life. He wasn’t going to come back here permanently in case she was going to run off again. At least if she did so in Manuka, he would be able to re-trace steps faster and from a faster source than here. Plus, there were close friends he made he couldn’t leave. Like Talia.
What made Remy so attracted to Talia? Remy knew how to appreciate beautiful woman, but it was as if she touched a whole different area that others couldn’t. He was never able to lay down his finger on what it was about her. She was beautiful when she could be and sexy at times like this. There was something else pulling him closer each time. There was always the thrill of feeling her close to him. Always that one. Remy had to lead to believe that this was also the only other woman who he felt completely open to. He had to keep it all shut and closed in order to keep her safe from the world of the supernatural, but if there wasn’t that boundary, he would have told her everything and anything. Let go of his mind for a couple of moments, but he also didn’t want to scare her away with crazy man rambling. That’s all it would be. Crazy Remy. Rambling up something he didn’t know what he was talking about.
Whatever he said. Now that would be a fun night indeed. Remy smirked to himself, focusing on Talia beaming brightly at him. How could someone like him know someone like her? He couldn’t even remember how the pair met, really, because it seemed like they had known each other their whole lives. Remy hadn’t felt this connection with anyone before. Not even Tess. That was a different time. Remy was also a different man then. His emotions ran deeper now than they had before. In his past, he had just been the outcast, but now he was truly on his own. Anything that he felt he buried within unless it was going to somehow help him in the near future. Yes, a changed man. It was amazing what one event could do to an entire family. What happened to change him hadn’t even happened to him. Even if he felt like it was somehow his fault. He tried to warn her. He tried.
It was all gone and done with now. All that was left was a beautiful woman in front of him that was his for the taking. The entire time, he would be able to have Talia to herself. If she would allow, which Remy didn’t see why not. The pair surly enjoyed it enough. Even now, she was challenging him to keep up with her and he was doing exactly what he was told. The pair seemed to get closer and closer with every movement from the other. Every time he didn’t think the pair could get closer, one of them pulled the other to show otherwise. The teasing was driving him crazy. If they weren’t at a public place… that hadn’t really stopped him before, but in the respect he had for the place, he was going to leave it to the hotel room. He rolled his hands on her back and to her sides. ”Told you as much.” He teased, whispering it softly in her ear, hoping it was at least loud enough to hear. That was one of the reasons he liked more quiet environments. The softest whispers could be heard. It was the soft ones that sent shivers down spines. Goosebumps on arms. There was nothing more seductive than the soft melodic voice of Remy McElhaney.
The night was starting to carry on and the more Remy was in contact with Talia, the more he felt like he couldn’t take it anymore. Like he had never wanted anyone so badly. His sex addiction was probably enough, but the fact it was Talia just made it worse. It was a serious problem he eventually needed some sort of therapy for, but for now, all that was in his system was the yearning and a bit of the alcohol. Remy had watched how much he got because from what he heard of other people, he wasn’t the most pleasant person after having so much. ”Why dun we go back now cherie? I dun know if I can ‘iscally dake more of chur teasin.” He warned, grinning as he left his fingertips just softly trail along her collarbone, moving and lifting her chin up towards him as he kissed her. The brush of lips was just enough hunger to keep the pair going, but he didn’t want to go too hard. Or they might not even make it out of there. It was typical for them. It was hard to say he was complaining either. I TOOK A CHANCE WITH MY HEART and i feel it takin over

party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead There was not a time she could recall being this happy. Talia didn't want the night to end. She didn't want to go back to Manuka. if only she could stay here with Remy forever. Something about the town was so alluring, she knew she would be sad to leave when it was time. This little road trip had been just what she needed. To spend time with one of her favorite people, just enjoying herself. Talia didn't have to worry or stress out about getting booked by people or if her medications were actually working. She could just focus on herself and the gorgeous man in front of her and just let fate and destiny figure out the rest. Talia knew as soon as she would wake up in the morning, the realization that they were only a step closer to having to go back home. She was dreading it in the back of her mind. Talia would just need to have as much fun as she could before she would have to go back to her life worries. Back to seeing Dr. Young and all the routine shit she did. She loved not knowing what was ahead of her. It was exciting, especially to share that feeling with Remy.
She could not imagine a better person to come with. Anybody would have questioned why she would bring him to go out to a club of all places, but she knew no matter what they did they'd enjoy themselves. They could just be sitting doing nothing and she'd be enjoying herself. They'd find a way to make it interesting. She loved having conversations with Remy. It fluctuated from being extremely playful to something deep to sexual in almost a snap of a finger. Talia loved that about their friendship. They had no boundaries with each other. Besides the obvious boundaries of the secrets they truly needed to keep from each other. Talia wasn't even sure if there was a time and place to tell Remy about her being a vampire or even about her parents. He would have to meet them one day. Talia would just climb that bridge when they got there. Now she would just focus on having fun.
When she was with Remy he was all that was there. All her mind filled with was him. He was like a drug, really. She could not get enough of him. Talia spoke so highly of him and thought so highly. Not even the fact that he was homophobic made her think any less of him and that usually killed everything with other people. Something about Remy was so amazing. Talia just wished she could spend all her life with him, but sadly he'd end up dying like all the rest of the people she loved. She would get all she could from him for the time being before it was too late. They were both still young and had a long road ahead of them. Especially Talia. Remy would have to play his cards right with his hunting if he wanted to last a long time. She was so afraid for him. Any wrong picked move could be the end of his life. That was terrifying. She never wanted to lose Remy.
Talia's smiled as he whispered into her ear. She liked this side of Remy a lot. Maybe she could try and drag him out a lot more. If she begged enough she knew she'd be able to do it again at least once. Talia hoped this wasn't really a one time thing because she was having so much fun. He really was full of surprises. Talia raised her eyebrows as Remy began spoke out to her farther into the night. She was starting to get a little antsy. Talia couldn't really take much more of them just dancing. They probably already looked like they were having sex right there. Talia nodded, smiling tenderly at him. She kept her eyes on him as his fingertips guided themselves along her collarbone and up to her chin. It sent chills through her body as he touched her. Their lips met and Talia know they needed to leave them. Talia pulled away and grabbed his hand and began to push through the crowd. They were out in the chilly night then. It felt great compared to the sweaty atmosphere in there.
Talia began to pull him back toward the hotel. She picked up the speed as they went into a slow run. Talia looked back at him laughing. She tripped a few times, her face turning a bright red, but she kept on going. They finally made it after quite a bit, considering it wasn't that far. It felt like an especially quick trip back then. Talia quickly opened their door and closed it behind them. She didn't bother to turn on the light. Talia kicked off her shoes and pulled off her vest jacket. She climbed onto the bed and smiled at him through the darkness. The moonlight was shining through the cracks in the curtains. Her eyes had adjusted quite quickly and she could see Remy's features perfectly. He really was beautiful. She pushed herself off of the bed enough to grab him and pull him toward her. He toppled on top of her and she giggled as she leaned up to kiss him.

I'M MORE THAN JUST AN OPTION refuse to be forgotten This was bound to happen. He knew that when he invited her. Everything about it was predictable, but every time this happened, he felt himself surprised. The energy, the feel, the vibe that he always got as if they fit together so perfectly. At this point, he learned to ignore these thoughts and feelings. Put them at the back of his mind (while of course keeping them slightly ahead so that he was able to enjoy the moment that much more). The greatest feeling in the world wasn’t able to be hidden completely. It was something that Remy made sure he did. Too many feelings would get him in the way. He saw it before. A hunter who was ruthless had to be taken down by a single act of caring. Not even a lover- just a really good friend that he wanted to protect. It made them both be killed. It was the reason Remy tended not to gain friends unless they were other hunters. That way if they were in trouble, other hunters would understand. Jude was enough to worry about even if she were a hunter.
No, he promised himself. No worrying. No hunting. It didn’t even occur to him what might have been happening in Manuka at that moment. All that mattered was the Talia under his fingertips. Running up and down, and to think they weren’t alone yet. There were some who were bothered by this type of relationship. Made them feel like nothing but an object. Remy thought that Talia understood she was more than that. He hadn’t needed to tell her. Oh- how the Cajun knew nothing about women after spending so much time with them. It didn’t occur to him any different because he didn’t think of himself any different. The man was narrow minded about many things. Sometimes he was so narrow minded, he didn’t see the outsides of it. Remy had actually thought about in the past if he were ever make exceptions for people. No supernaturals, of course, but with everything else. Unnatural happenings. Maybe. It’d take quite the person.
That was it for her. When she pulled on his hand to leave the place, everyone knew exactly why she was tugging at his hand to leave this place. A small laugh inaudible under the loud environment escaped his lips, seeing the gaze on the two. Two beautiful people, leaving as if they didn’t have a care in the world. At that moment, he really felt like he didn’t have a care in the world. There was everything to worry about, but nothing like that was planted on his mind. Whenever it threatened to, he pushed it back. This was the life he should have been living. Another thought he didn’t think. Talia found the hotel and her walking seemed to be going into a fast walk- then to a small run. Remy smiled brightly the whole way, swinging her back up whenever she fell over, always bringing her close to him, nipped her ear, and let her go to lead the way again- all in one very swift moment that lasted for seconds. It was a wonder she was dizzy. He was swinging her all over the place.
Was it possible to feel this happy? Was this what people had been talking about all along? It was something he had been searching for all his life. Not necessarily with one true soulmate or anything. He was looking for it alone. See where the road would take him. He could be completely by himself on an island as long as he felt that blissful happiness. Now here he was. All of this probably had to do with the thrill of New Orleans mixed with spending the night with a beautiful woman. Perhaps it was not having to worry. The motions that were slowly making him crazy were now out of his mind- as if the amount of crazy in him had been a giant bucket getting full, and now he was emptying the bucket. Completely. Starting over when he went back to Manuka to finish the business he started. The extremely dangerous one. This could be his last time at New Orleans. Might as well make it the best.
The dark found him, but it wasn’t unpleasant. The light from outside was still peeking through the curtains, making the dark room only dim once his eyes adjusted. He heard her giggling and peeked around the corner, seeing the outline of her, vest off and waiting for him. His heart raced and a smirk placed on his lips. The new thrill filling him more than ever before. Kicking off his shoes, he reached for her when he did, falling right on top of her. He didn’t need light to see what he was doing. Remy could feel it all, hearing her small giggle as he kissed her, more hungry and passionate than ever. His heart rate increased, starting to develop into that wild animal that Remy knew he was underneath. Her hips against his. Hands with hers. Everything with her.
It was in the middle of the night and Remy’s arm was around Talia. It was nice- not having to think about a quick way to kill the woman next to you, trying to stay away from her as you struggled to find your knife. He never got too close during these moments. Not just for the sake of his weapon, but for the sake of not getting anywhere… too close. Holding Talia while he was sleeping was as emotional as it was physical. He would not let himself with any supernatural. It was too emotionally close. Remy stirred a little bit. Even before he was a hunter, he slept way light. However, now that he was a hunter, when he stirred, he was a little more awake than in the past. He did not yet open his eyes, in case the enemy might be under the impression he was still asleep.

party 'til you pass outdrink 'til your dead Talia could count on her fingers how many times the two had been alone together and had not ended up having sex. In the retrospect it was kind of sad, but their relationship wasn't based on the physical things at all. Talia just enjoyed being around him and their attraction to each other was just a bonus. She loved how spontaneous they both were together. Everybody acted so uptight all the damn time. It was fun to let loose with him even though he was so laid back. Talia was a wild girl and he could handle her just fine. She loved that more than anything. A lot of guys were either turned off by it or extremely irritated. The vampire didn't really care too much though. She wasn't going to change how she acted for some random assholes.who couldn't appreciate a beautiful woman. Not many men could amount to anything compared to Remy. Talia absolutely loved every second she was with him and hated being away from him. She very much could consider him a best friend, minus the sleeping with each other part. Although he didn't know much about her home life, but she didn't know about his either so it was fine. Talia would like to keep it that way for awhile.
She would just dread the day when she would have to leave him as he got older and she continued to look as if she were in her twenties. He'd become suspicious and it'd all be over. Talia always tried her best to stay positive and it always proved to be difficult. Even when she was feeling her happiest she still felt that constant weight on her heart that as soon as she was alone she'd go right back into that black hole. The darkness followed her everywhere. It only seemed to completely disappear when she was with Remy. He made her forget about all the bullshit for a little bit. Talia wished she could be that content with herself all the time. She hated that she had to depend on medication to keep her sane. It was not a nice feeling at all. Talia was a perfectly healthy young adult and shouldn't be depressed about anything. She used to stay up untilt he crack of dawn just thinking of how stupid she was being. The girl just didn't know what the fuck was making her so unhappy.
Talia would run through every possible thing that may have happened in her childhood or anything, but she had such a good life and then there was this monster constantly on her shoulder whispering things in her ear. She wanted it all to end. Talia had so much going for her and yet she could not pin point any moment where she had a good day without feeling like shit. Dr. Crawford said it would take some time to get to a place where she could get through one day without feeling like she was ran over by a truck. Talia could not wait until that day.
The vampire felt like she was walking on air then. Her hunger and lust was controlling every part of her body. Talia just let her body mold in with Remy's. Her body felt burning hot all over as her giggles turned into more and their bodies moved along with each other.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although vampires couldn't sleep she had trained herself to fall into something close enough to a sleeping state so she was able to escape her thoughts for at least a bit. Unfortunately, even though she wasn't really sleeping, it still came with nightmares. Talia could feel Remy's arms around her and his body heat against her. She felt safe, but her thoughts were trying to tell her otherwise. Talia's eyes popped open, her breath heavy. Tears escaped down her face as her chest heaved up and down. She felt trapped and breathing was difficult. Talia had to get out of there. She quietly slid out from under Remy's grasp. It would probably wake him up, but she needed to get out of there. Talia ran to her bag and pulled a t-shirt over her head and darted into the bathroom. She closed the door gently behind her. Talia pressed her back against the door, putting her face in her hands. She rubbed her hands across her face to wipe away the tears. They just kept on coming.
Talia looked up at her reflection and frowned. She was so fucking pathetic. What was she doing? Why was she even here? What kind of fucking fool was she to think things would work out with Remy? She didn't deserve him. Talia took a few shaky breathes and cover her mouth as a sob escaped her lips. She couldn't tear her eyes away from her reflection. Talia looked back at herself with such hatred. She turned away and sunk down to the ground. The vampire tugged at her hair in frustration. It was a bit of a mess. Talia brought her head back hard into the wall and sighed. She was trying so hard not to cry. Talia shook her head as the tears began to fall. She was holding so much shit in. But why the fuck would it have to surface right now when she least wanted it. Remy probably already thought she was bathshit crazy. This would be the icing on the cake. She wiped furiously at her face.
She pushed herself up off from the floor and stared back up at her reflection. Talia shook her head in disgust."What the fuck is wrong with me?" She whispered quietly to herself. Why was she was broken when she had no reason to be? Suddenly a large rush of anger shot through her as she looked at herself. She was such a pathetic mess and she was tired of staring at herself. Talia brought her fists up, smashing them against the mirror. It shattered loudly and she staggered back in surprise, falling to the ground. Luckily no shards hit her because then Remy really would see what a monster she was. It wasn't normal for someone to heal up in seconds. Why was she such an idiot? Why'd she let herself get bitten? Why? She could actually enjoy herself with Remy and not have to worry about an eternity of loneliness. Talia couldn't hold back her sobs anymore. She buried her face in between her knees as she mentally prepared for Remy to come crashing in. She didn't want him to see her like this. Talia turned her back to the door and hid her face in between her legs as her body shook from her sobs.
