approximately one year and a half after the start - just shy of fifteen?
now that it's all said and done, i can't believe you were the one
to build me up and tear me down, like an old abandoned house
what you said when you left; just left me cold and out of breath
Quinn: Another day home alone with nothing to do. He'd already practised a bunch for some of the fighting styles and took a shower, and then he'd flopped on the couch and attempted to read a book. It didn't work, and he had ended up napping with the book open over his face. It was a good light shield, at least.
Roman: He walked in from being out with Lilia and just glanced around, spotting Quinn on the couch, not moving just holding back a sigh.
Quinn: It was a light sleep, he was far too restless for it to be anything more. Yet because it was this way, the opening of the door woke him up, and he groaned and lifted the book from his face, blinking at the sight of Roman. He perked up, smiling. He all but jumped from the couch to move quickly over to his brother, throwing his arms around Roman's neck while leaning into his brother. "Wanna play?" He asked, that impish glint in his eyes as he peered up at Roman.
Roman: He placed his hands on Quinn's hips when he usually would wrap his arms around him and looked down at him, "Quinn, I have to tell you something."
Quinn: He felt Roman's hands on his hips, an effective way to keep him rather still in this situation, and he heard the words and blinked, tilting his head to the side as he looked at his brother. "What's up? Obviously not-" There was a pause, a little frown as he realized something was off. "What's wrong?" He asked, watching Roman's expression.
Roman: He looked down at him and pulled him close for a hug for a moment, "I'm so sorry about this, but I have found someone I want to date. I'm so sorry. But I can't do this anymore."
Quinn: Roman's words were like a slap to the face, and he stepped back from his brother; confused. His eyebrows furrowed a little. "Are you teasing me? I don't like this game, Roman..." He was trying to make sense of this, struggling with the sharp stab of rejection welling up within him. How could Roman just dump this on him right now? After everything; done, over, just like that?
Roman: "I'm sorry. Quinn.." he shivered a pain welling up in him as he gazed at the male.
Quinn: The words only made it worse, said all that was needed. It was over, because suddenly his brother had decided he wanted something -- someone -- else. Frustration and anger colored his face. He wanted to hit something. Hard. He could smell the smoke rising up from his clenched fists, the warmth of barely controlled fire creeping through his veins; raging to come out, to burn something. He didn't even know what to say, he was too shocked to speak at all.
Roman: He saw him growing angry and just sighed, "I will be there when you ask, no matter what or if you never want me to speak again to you." He did not know what to say, but was trying as hard as he could not to make this any worse.
Quinn: He was furious when he heard Roman's next words. Flames flickered over his fists, the colors changing to the hottest; white. He clenched his teeth, so many things tumbling through his mind. "You were there for me! And now?" He shook his head, upper lip curling. "You're dead to me, Roman." He sneered. "I don't want you anywhere near me. Ever." He said lowly, fiercely.
Roman: He saw the flames and heard his words, feeling tears roll down his cheeks and he looked into his eyes and just whispered, "I love you." He then walked out the door, unable to stay, but he knew that Quinn did not want him there anymore, not like this.
Quinn: He was tense in those moments, unmoved by Roman's tears, the words. And when his brother finally left, he crumbled, just letting himself fall to the ground, starting to cry. He wished none of it had ever happened. Now he was falling to pieces. He screamed out his frustration and pain; shaking.
i fell too far, was in way too deep; guess i let you get the best of me
well, i never saw it coming, i should've started running a long, long time ago
and i never thought i'd doubt you, i'm better off without you; more than you, more than you know
Lyrics; Chris Daughtry- Over You
