Bitchy. That would be a decent word to describe Alexandria for starters. Chaotic. Another choice word for her outer behavior. Known to be unruly and the rebel child in the clan, Mel, is always and continuously in trouble with the elders. No one really sees her so much as Alexandria more than Dimitri’s rebellious little sister. She likes going out of her way to do whatever she wants. She is quite the party girl and also doesn’t care what anyone tells her or thinks of her really. Although it does bother her a bit that no one sees her as her own person really. Overall she is a spoiled teenager who strives for attention.

She has strong feelings for Kira’s crush and her own betrothed now. Although to the outside eye it would just seem as a way to ruin Kira’s life and take something that was hers it isn’t about that at all. Alli really does have feelings for her betrothed. Underneath all of her rebellious nature and her outward appearance is a soft suffering girl. She can have breakdowns at times and just wishes that she had someone who would hold her close and care for her. Alexandria is rather self conscious of her marred legs especially her right one.

OVERALL

Alexandria grew up continuously under her elder brother’s shadow. Although she loves her brother she suffered all of those years as people only saw her as Dimitri’s younger sister. She was the opposite of her brother. She rebelled at any opportunity she got throughout her childhood. She had always been told and taught how to be a proper lady, not that the clan’s efforts to ‘fix’ her worked at all.

She was only thirteen when hunters ambushed them at their home and attacked her family. Her parents were dead before she had even had enough time to wrap her mind around what was happening. Then they had found her. She remembers hearing Dimitri’s shouts in the background but the pain enveloping both of her legs was so overwhelming. Later she knew why, her left leg had been broken and her right leg had been covered in acid, which had burned at her flesh.

For the next few years she was looked down on even more by the clan. Alex was the clan cripple, the one that could do the least, the one that they all hated and made fun of. Her brother spent countless dollars on her physical therapy for her human form and did all he could when they were in the water together. After these years she has grown stronger but is still rather weak in her right leg since much of the muscle had been eaten away. She hated all of the ridicule that everyone in the clan her age put her through and all of the trouble that the elders put her through as well. Mel is still very self-conscious over her physical deformity and even in her mermaid form her scales are marred badly on the right side.

Kira Hawthorne was a few years older than her and always seemed like the perfect girl in the clan. Then Alli suffered again as Kira fawned over the same boy that Alexandria liked and nearly had him. However, Alexandria was betrothed to him at the age of sixteen. She truly has feelings for her betrothed and hopes that he returns them. Alexandria has done her best to try to get things to work between them but her old bitchy habits don’t die easily.
