Dimitri is a natural born leader. He is very self-confident, trustful, hard working. He is not a control freak but Dimka is rather used to being in charge. All his life he was the prized son in his family while his sister was the rebel child. He’s a bit of a daredevil and just goes with the flow of things. He doesn’t like to disappoint others. Dimitri had a crush on Arabella, his first betrothed. However when she was banished he was then betrothed to Kira and he’s not entirely sure how he feels about her yet since they haven’t spent all that much time together.
He tends to pace and hold his hands behind his back when he’s nervous or thinking things over. He likes to fight hand to hand and is decent at it as well, for fun sometime he will spar if he can find someone to spar with. Despite his size Dimitri is rather skilled at sneaking around and has often spooked people by accidentally walking silently up behind them.

Dimitri grew up in a rather average household with a rebel bitchy sister and two normal parents. But he was the golden child in the family. Anything he did was praised and everyone just liked him naturally. At the age of three he was betrothed to a young girl named Arabella in his parents’ attempt at furthering their family’s status within the Hawthorne clan. He was raised to be a leader, learning all of the good qualities that a leader should have and how to treat a woman properly. He eventually went off on his own for a while and attended college however he found his way back to the Hawthorne clan eventually, drawn by duty.
When his betrothed, Arabella, was accused of loving a human he still pined after her and tried to sway her towards him so that maybe she wouldn’t be banished and might restore her honor. However he was not successful in getting Arabella to forget about her human and in the end she was banished and the human man was killed. He was depressed for a time after this and began to sleep around with both human women and merwomen quite a bit but then his responsibility came crashing down on him as his new betrothal, to Kira, seemed suddenly real to him. When he was twenty two his parents passed away in an runin with some hunters.
The hunters ambushed his household and the first people they came across were his parents. Next they had gone after Alexandria and he had tried to stop them but they still succeeded in breaking her leg and pouring acid on her other leg before he stopped them and silenced them for good. He had never figured out why they had decided to torture her like that but he cared for his sister and it pained him to watch this. He came out of it with a knife wound on his left side.
Nothing much has really happened within the past few years but things are picking up again. As his and Kira’s betrothal and marriage is becoming more and more discussed and closer and closer he must now get to know her better and also deal with others in the clan that are becoming impatient as to when the two will wed.
