XANDER THOMAS SYLAR
"Okay, technically I'm a serial killer."
"You see me as a monster. And yet you did this to me. And before the night is over, I'm gonna prove to you - one by one - that you're all monsters - exactly like me."
"The line. The one I can cross, and you can't. The one that says I can do anything I want, like killing people in cold blood."

OVERALL
He . . . he is well the sad part is, initially he is well-intentioned. He wants to improve his life. He wants to make a difference. He wants to matter. Through the process of realizing how to do that, he gets blinded and loses himself in the pursuit of it and goes a little crazy—'a little' being an understatement. There was a certain point at which he crossed a line and it's sort of irrevocable. He's not absolutely good or bad. Personality-wise, Xander's a bit hard to pin down- mostly because he's nothing if not unpredictable. One minute, he'll present himself as just your average, every day guy, if overly polite and a little shy. The next, he'll be in your face, telling you in low, near seductive tones exactly how he's going to kill you. Either way, however, there are a few constants when it comes to Xander. He's obsessed with power, He's murdered many, in his quest to better himself and prove that he is special, claiming that the person is unworthy, insignificant, and un-special. That they were broken and that he could fix them by killing them. He's also convinced that he, himself, is just as broken as the rest of them, and that killing them will put him a step closer to being fixed. In clinical psychology, and just for the record, this is known as covetous psychopathy. He'll lie when it suits him, too, but he's not a pathological liar. If you know what he is, he'll stop trying to restrain himself on your behalf. He also won't kill normal people, if they're not in his way and he can avoid it, as there's really nothing for him to gain. And the normal people he has killed - his best friend, and a pregnant women and her friend - are the only murders he feels any fraction of guilt for, even if, if murder were a justifiable thing, he had a reason to kill them. Mostly because they betrayed him on a deep level, and Xander has severe betrayal issues. Which probably explains why he's convinced everyone is going to betray him at some point, and as such doesn't make friends that easily, even beyond being a killer. However, the man needs attention like most people need air. Fear. Love. Hate. Respect. Whatever. It doesn't matter as long as his presence evokes some kind response. And well, trying to avoid forging friendly relations with other people takes at least two of those things off the list. Even if he's hesitant to make friends, though, there are a couple of things that might change his mind. The first, that if you do for him, he'll do anything in his power to do for you (and conversely, if you hurt him, he'll return the favor), which, generally, leads to friendship. Or, if you promise him something and keep your word when he's not expecting you to, he'll love you forever. Mostly because while he doesn't give his word often, he always keeps it, and since it's such a great gesture for him, he assumes it's the same for others, and makes him more likely to trust them.

RP SAMPLEAlek stopped breathing when he saw Eliot start to walk down the aisle with a pretty girl on his arm. Alek was all eyes on Eliot. He was literally breathtakingly handsome. Alek’s eyes crinkled into a crooked white smile, he beamed at Eliot. From just next to him he heard someone sing softly, “Here comes the bride, all dressed in white, wait that’s the groom but Alek, you’re a dude-“Alek’s face crumpled with laughter, he bit his lip, trying to compose himself but what Caleb just sang had struck a nerve and Alek had to really search deep within himself to put together his earlier air.
Alek grinned at Eliot again, not laughing anymore but smiling just as brightly. He watched Eliot walk down the aisle and then he was right in front of him, the priest guy on the other side began to talk and all Alek could pay attention to was Eliot and how gorgeous he looked and all he could think about was how happy he was going to be. He thought he heard Caleb crack another joke and Alek’s eyes crinkled and he chuckled again. Alek wondered if Eliot would be mad if someone he didn’t know was Alek’s best man and if he’d be mad at the joke cracking.
The time for vows came and Alek cleared his throat. “You make me the person I want to be, instead of the person I am. The idea of life without you is not only unbearable; it’s unimaginable. Whatever lays ahead, good or bad, we will face together. Distance may test us for a time, and time may try us. But if we look to each other first, we will always see a friend. Eliot, look to me for all the days to come; today I, Aleksander Peter Badica, take my place as your husband. I do.” Alek smiled lovingly and waited for Eliot, his heart picking up speed. This was the part where the bride sometimes said I don’t. He felt a firm hand on his shoulder. Thank god for Caleb.
