THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected A hunter in the middle of a museum wasn’t really common. Remy would like to think that he was different than most hunters. Though all hunters had one goal, he hoped that his difference would make him one singled out. At the same time, no hunter wanted to be too singled out. Remy was sure there was a price on his head in the supernatural world. He made a significant dent in the population in New Orleans (of course he wasn’t alone on it, but he had been a part of the group). It was time to make Manuka no longer a safe and haven place for the supernatural. The goal was large. The goal was something that nearly consumed his life. Little places like these, where his mind wasn’t set on trying to find supernatural was in a way, his own haven. Just a small one. Everything in his life was piling on top of another even in this job of his. His mind was constantly trying to get off of Tess, for one thing. The distractions for something like that were limited. He needed a large one. A huge distraction that would just make him forget everything.
At the moment, he wasn’t exactly looking to see if the art pieces would distract him. Even if it was a success, it would only last for about an hour. No, here there was people. Humans. Remy’s logic on supernaturals suggested that none would ever come here. These things hanging on the walls and on platforms were absolutely beautiful. Beauty they probably couldn’t possibly imagine. They were dark and heartless, not understanding something like this. Remy wasn’t exactly an art fanatic, but he appreciated fine work. The pieces in front of him that clearly showed talent. There wasn’t a way that supernatural could possibly understand the significant at it. A human saw beauty. A supernatural saw paint on paper that made up a picture. His mind was extremely narrow on the subject. When Remy thought something, it was final. There was little that could have happened to change his mind. All he remembered was how easily swayed Jude was with that bloodsucker. Everyone but her saw that the thing wasn’t filled with the love he promised her.
His head started to throb and his actions were a little more choppy, as if he was tense. This is what happened to dear Remy after not seeing someone in a while. Remy was a wee bit of an addict. It wasn’t something he was really proud of, but there wasn’t much he found he could do about it. Of all the things that could be wrong with him (besides his mind) he supposed it was something small, but he really hated having to actually need it. Wanting it like most people and needing it like someone needed a cigarette was so different. He figured if he were to ever fail, it would be his dependency on that factor. Remy shook his head with frustration, gritting his teeth and moving onto the next room. Early Europeans. Oh yes, these had so many different and twisted styles. He saw with unblinking eyes a portrait the king with several objects around him. A lion, skulls, a monkey, a child, a crown, and random objects that you wouldn’t think would fit into a king’s presence. Clothes, spoons, a ragged pillow. The details in it. To show that just because one was more powerful didn’t mean that something else could beat it. A belief he had to believe in if they were going to survive whenever they rose up.
He stood looking out the open window. The room was on the third floor up, so he was able to look out with seeing a view, but not being too far above the ground. Remy wasn’t much for people watching. He was too judgmental and paranoid. Sometimes, he wished he were oblivious so that he may live his life in peace, but a wish that would never be granted to him. It wouldn’t be on his mind so often. His hands reached in his jacket pockets, still staring out of the window that let in most of the light that was in the museum. Despite the miniature lights that were placed on top of most pieces to show the grand quality of it. His gaze moved on to the nearly empty room. Out of the blue (making him jump about ten feet into the air) he heard an alarm go off. That was the third time that stupid thing went off. His ears ached with the sudden large noises. It was set off if someone came even a foot into a particular piece, whose silent alarm seemed to be broken, leaving the loud one as a safer than sorry situation.
With a gentle roll of his eyes, he made his way toward the scene just to see and comfort the person, who usually apologized like they were in a crime scene and just killed someone. He had done that to the previous person and felt he was doing some good continuing to do that. The guard really didn’t explain very clearly that there was an alarm on every single one of them. Most of them went off momentarily. It just so happened that they set off the one with the loudest buzzer. Honestly, for the pain that they caused his ears, he could have stood watching the damn thing. When he got to the scene, he blinked a couple of times, feeling himself relax almost at once. How odd. AND IF I DON'T BELONG who would have guessed it

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high The vampire had no idea how she kept winding up back at the museum. Her mind always traveled back to it even since she ran into Kale there. That day always made her smile to herself. Talia found herself in the car continuing to drive past the museum as she ran her weekly errands of getting her nails done. She had to keep her image up and look good or she'd definitely lose the only job she was able to maintain. Talia never usually relied on her looks, but now that was the case for everything according to her job. She tried her best to listen to what her manager told her. Too bad Talia was not the type of person to listen to others. It was a wonder how her manager even put up with her. Talia was a bit of a mess. She would be told to act accordingly and the vampire would end up doing the complete opposite. There was no way she could do anything right. Talia knew from the reaction from the press that she wasn't being recognized for the good she was doing. She felt no need to impress anyone, so she wasn't going to give into peer pressure and act how everyone else wanted her to act.
Talia was very strong willed when it came staying true to herself. She was raised by that and she would stick to that to the day she died. There was no way she'd step out of her own personality for anyones benefit, even her own. Talia knew that was bit dumb considering the profession she was in. She wanted to be liked for who she was naturally. Talia couldn't stand all the other fake barbie models she had met. She could see they were sad and miserable when they'd let her smiles falter for even a second. Talia was extremely observant when it came to people. That was why she did was well with modeling because she surveyed other models and studied their techniques and incorporated her own unique twist to what she learned. Talia found it useful to watch people and study what they're doing to get a feel for them. She always was fascinated by body language and how people interacted with others and emotions.
Talia always found herself people watching when she had no other thing to do. It was a bit of a habit she had formed ever since she started high school. She felt like she had to study and get to know the people she was surrounded with to able herself to get to know them and know what made them tick. Talia's senses were enhanced when she became a vampire so her observant manner was just even better. She found herself passing by the museum for the third time as she finished her errands and was beginning to drive home. Talia slowed a bit and turned into the parking lot of the art museum. She wasn't expecting to see Kale here or anything, but something was drawing her back to the museum. Talia in all honesty loved the art and was so interested in it. She knew the silence of the place would drive her crazy. Maybe she could calm her crazy thoughts by being in the atmosphere. She found a reasonable parking spot and stepped out of her car, locking it behind her. Talia ran her hands along her thighs, flattening out the creases in her pants before she began walking toward the building.
She felt her anxiety begin to build up as she stepped into the silence of the building. Talia patted at her jeans to see if she could find a lighter to calm her nerves. She cursed under her breath when she realized she left it in the car. Talia glanced up to catch a woman staring at her disapprovingly. She smiled uncomfortably and turned to walk deeper into the museum. The echoe of her boots made her want to kick something. Talia wondered why the woman was staring at her in that way. She wasn't too exposed. Talia was wearing high waisted pants so her stomach wasn't showing. Sure her shirt was bit revealing, but it was starting to get hot so Talia was just dressing according to how the weather was. Fucking old people. She ventured into a darker room where it displayed artwork by Europeon artists. Talia stopped and looked at a few, leaning in slightly to get a better look. At one particular painting she was especially intrigued by the detail and felt herself leaning a little too far to the painting and jumped back in alarm, ready to attack, when a loud siren go off. Talia paused and began to giggle as she realized she was the one who set it off. She glanced around her and there were no people in the section so that calmed her.
Talia shook her head and pushed her hair away from her eyes and took a few steps back. She turned abruptly when she heard someone walk into the room. The steps were probably silent to the human ear, but she heard them instantly. Her face lit up when she spotted Remy. She felt her legs carry themselves over to him and her arms around his shoulders as she encased him in a hug. Talia loved Remy so much, he had the sexiest accent (she swore she had fetish for accents or something) and the sweetest and shyest personality. The only time he wasn't shy was in bed, but that was more personal matters. She only worried because Remy was a hunter and well Talia was a supernatural. She was damn good at hiding it because Remy had suspected anything yet and she was hoping he wouldn't. From his talk about them they were the worst things in existence and he wouldn't hesitate to kill one and Talia knew she was no exception if he found out she was a vampire.
Talia shook those depressing thoughts away and smiled brightly at her friend. She gave him a playful peck on the nose and pulls back, biting her lip gently. Talia was naturally silly around people, Remy had to be used to it by now."Please ignore my very awkward manner. That." She bobbed her head in the direction of the alarm she had set off."Did not just happen" Talia giggled and let Remy out of the hug. She took a step back away from him and grabbed his hand giving it a small squeeze and swung their arms back and forth gently."Bet you thought it'd be quiet here, but not when I'm around obviously." She sighed and put her free hands over her face and shook her head. Talia let it fall and she laughed."So, why're you here? I know it's not for hunting matters." She gave him a gentle smile, still gently swinging their arms. Talia stopped swinging them and simply smiled up at the beautiful blond, cajun man.

THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected Remy had a few of his guilty pleasures, but he had to say that Talia was one of his favorites. He really did adore her. After all of the women he had been through, this had been the one to really spark his interest. Except for Tesslyn, but for now, he was much avoiding her and that subject. There was probably no one better to distract him from the blonde than the beautiful woman he saw before him. Anyone could really say that she was beautiful, as her very job was to show off her beauty for the cameras. Yet, there was more to it than that. The natural curves of her body with the striking collar bone slightly covered by hair. The intimidating deep eyes. Everything. This truly was a magnificent girl who didn’t have to go through all of the things it seemed other models had to do. Rumors on starving themselves or being so tall no one would even match up to their size were always false when looking at Talia. The beauty that came naturally. He was sure that there were many admirers who would kill to look like her.
Remy wasn’t going to fool anyone. He thought Talia had been a supernatural at first. It was how they met. He was on the hunt and prowl but as soon as he started talking to her, the supernatural world left his mind momentarily. He learned to trust his instincts on it and decide that she was claimed human. Now he didn’t even think about that. It seemed unrealistic to him that she had been on the list of maybes at one point. Now, it didn’t really occur to him that she may have been and was playing him like most supernatural took the opportunity to do. No. Talia was far too sweet, kind, and fun loving to have any hatred in her heart. As far as he could see it, it was golden. Rich. Sure, there were times he had heard and seen her when she was a little more dramatic, but what human didn’t have a little bit of a darker side to them? It was the all dark side he was worried about.
Even now, she turned and saw him, he made a grand smile back at her. Who would have known that the day he was going to the museum was the day he was going to see Talia again. He felt like he hadn’t seen her in quite a while. Remy had been caught up in his plans. His new strategy and his wicked scheme to try to take down the Ellis family. He had already sent in the brave Kinsley. Now all he needed was some information and the slow picking of the family, one at a time. That was enough to make someone be preoccupied for quite a long while. He came here to escape and it seemed to be brought to him this time. In a very goddess like form. Remy laughed lightly and embraced her hug, curving his head slightly into her neck just out of habit before breaking. Oh sometimes he felt they had met each other in some other life. He curled his nose a bit with amusement when it was kissed quickly. ”De alar’am or de nose? Which must I forget?” He asked with gentle humor, hearing her sweet giggle fill his ears as she broke away. Yes, he knew the alarm by the gesture, but he had to add something. It could be said that Remy did have the slightest crush on this girl. But probably in that young boy and the beautiful daughter next door heading off to college.
Sure, he did wish it would have been quiet, but it wasn’t saying that having her company was a downgrade. He gripped her hand, trying to remember how long it was they had known each other. It wasn’t too incredibly long though he felt as if Talia had grown up with him along with the McElhaneys. Or they might have met each other while he was just getting started in his little New Orleans business. It was amazing how much could happen in the amount of years that made it seem like ten years. Something like meeting Talia felt like years and years ago, but he hadn’t been in Manuka for years and years. Only for about six months at this point, actually. It had been rough trying to go from New Orleans to here, but he was managing quite well. Perhaps he ought to travel there with a friend sometime. ”Oh, I’ll have to manage den, hm?” Adding with a warm smile, ”Your company is always welcomed dough Cherie.” Reassuring whatever the woman needed, Remy could be there. Remy was a lot of things, but as long as you were human, he was loyal.
It wasn’t for hunting matters for once. He shook his head as the arms stopped swinging. Though he wasn’t hunting, he was prepared. There was a couple of knives in some various little pockets. Not much. Just something to be able to distract with if he ever ran into some unfriendly company. Probably one time of twenty he was actually going to need it. Still, Remy felt like he was leaving his wallet without some form of protection. ”Oh no. I like to enjoy de oder dings in life every once in a while. The artwork here is beautiful.” It almost made him miss home, but he didn’t say that out loud. He just peered at the paintings a bit more before looking back at Talia, her eyes bright. ”I wasn’t aware you enjoyed dis.” He told her smoothly. Remy should have known that the woman in front of him would enjoy something as elegant as something like this. It was as if she fit in the paintings wonderfully.

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high Talia couldn't say she truly feared hunters because she had never crossed bad paths with them. She had heard tons of stories and knew her fair share of hunters who told their point of view. Kenna's best friend Ryland was a hunter and Talia had been nosy and began asking the girl questions. Ryland wasn't a very talented hunter and hadn't been doing it long, so Talia abandoned the twenty questions game for awhile. Ryland was still pretty scary from the stories she heard. The girl always mistook humans for supernaturals though, which was a shame. There were very random murders in Manuka and she figured it had to be Ryland's doing. Talia couldn't imagine how she could get humans mixed up with supernaturals. Just because someone had purple contacts did not make them a witch or warlock.
Talia was also new to the world, but she sure knew which supernaturals were which. You could tell instantly from their body language and how they moved. An immortal was very easy to spot because how they moved with some grace and you just feel their age radiating off of them and all of their experiences. Talia didn't enjoy being around immortals because they could sense some of her thoughts and that made her feel as if her privacy was being invaded. Even though Talia annoyed herself at times her mind was the only place she could truly leave and escape all the crazy around her. It wasn't like her life was crazy at all.
She thought becoming a vampire would be so intriguing. Like her on a blood thirsty hunt all the time or hanging out with some other sexy vampires. Television had completely given her a false look on vampires. Now that she was one it was just a bit of nothing. She liked that her senses were more alert and her strength was over the top, there was nothing else to be excited about. Talia would probably live far past her dads and that scared her. Maybe she could tell them about supernaturals so they could live long with her. Life without her parents would kill her inside. Talia wouldn't say she was dependent on them, they were her core of happiness. Whenever she felt a bit shitty she instantly cuddled with one of them on the couch. She couldn't do that now, sadly. Them moving to Manuka seemed to have been a huge mistake. They were always going back home to work and leaving her in the large house to herself.
Talia was just about ready to tell them to just go back officially and leave her in Manuka. She doubted they would because she knew they would be as anxiety filled as she would be. Talia would probably have to start actually doing her job and doing all that publicity shit just to distract herself. She always avoided the club hostings and large parties where she could get better noticed. Talia liked attention, but she wasn't some attention seeking whore like all the other models. As long as she enjoyed what she was doing and got the amount of money she wanted then she'd be just dandy. She didn't need to find tabloids or blogs gossiping about her. Talia already saw what those people say about all the other models.
Talia didn't usually care what people thought about her. When it came to people talking shit about her in the public's eye then she would lie low. There was nothing else she could do. She pushed those thoughts away, getting frustrated with herself that her mind kept popping back to modeling. Talia knew she needed to find more things to do with her life. She had friends, but apparently not enough. Talia had Remy and that was all she needed at the moment. He was the sweetest thing ever and she could listen to him talk for hours. Talia had to make sure she didn't let her guard down around him completely because he still thought she was a human. She didn't want Remy to turn against her. That would kill her. He was a part of her life now and she'd grown close to him. It'd make her crumble if he figured out she wasn't human.
She'd sometimes get Remy to rant about supernaturals and it scared her to think he could be so cold hearted toward anyone since he was so nice. Talia also couldn't talk about her family around him or introduce him to her parents. She had to be careful if she ever brought him around her house. Talia felt like such a liar around him. Remy knew she was a adopted, but not that two men had adopted her. Talia also heard him go on and on about his hate for gays. She just had to respect his opinion because some of her views would disgust him as well. Talia loved Remy too much to stop talking to him just because he hated everything that she was was. She felt so deceitful and guilty around him sometimes. Fear swelled up inside of her whenever she thought she did something a little too non-human. He hadn't seemed as if he were suspicious so she could relax at the moment.
Talia and Remy were complete opposites if she really thought about it. That was one reason why she adored him so much. He was quiet and sweet and Talia was bubbly and a bit of a bitch at times. Talia couldn't imagine being mean to him though. She was rarely mean to anyone. Last time she had let her mood slip was when she had been out dancing and some girl threw her drink on her. Before Talia knew it she was dropping the girl's limp body in an alleyway. She couldn't remember a thing, but the girl's neck was twisted nearly all the way around and her blood was drained. Talia had completely lost it then and she had no idea why. She cringed slightly because she remembered setting the girl on fire too. Talia was so brutal when she was angry.
She hadn't lost it like that for months and she was proud of herself. Talia had been pretty clean ever since she arrived in Manuka. The people were nice here and didn't do dumb things like throw drinks on her. Talia had very little patience when she had first turned into a vampire anyways. She was so thirsty all the time and didn't know her own strength. Talia felt bad. She had killed quite a few people on accident in her first few months of being a vampire. Talia felt like she had everything under control now. Hell, a hunter was standing right in front of her face and didn't even know she was a vampire so she felt she had done pretty well with hiding her identity. Hah, she sounded like she was superman or something.
Talia giggled when Remy scrunched up his nose cutely when she kissed it. She jsut wanted to pick him up and twirl him around. Which she could very much do, but she would get weird looks from him and she'd probably get pierced in the heart quickly by him. Talia took in Remy's scent when he leaned his face down into her shoulder. Not only did he smell good, but his blood made her want to sink her teeth into him. Talia had always wanted to suck his blood. She knew she couldn't. Talia bit down on her lip letting out another laugh. God, she was always giggling like a mad woman."Oh stop being so cute." She smiled and gave his hand another squeeze. Talia literally wanted to jump on him and give him a bear hug. Her blue eyes glanced behind him as a few people migrated into the room, looking at the pictures. A security guard walked in quickly and scanned the room and left. Talia looked up at Remy and gave him a sly smirk. She was thankful the other people came in because the attention would be off of her. Talia figured there should have been a security guard in the room anyways because so many children did like to touch the paintings. Talia was much like a child too and found herself doing the same at times.
Talia gave another glance to the security guard who slowly walked out of the room. She gave him a sweet look at his little comment about her always being welcome company. Talia loved when he called women cherie. She had no idea why. Talia nodded, trying to keep herself from smiling like an idiot."Well you'll just have to put up with me for now." She gave him a flirtatious look, pushing some stray hairs of hers behind her ear. Talia smiled up at him again as he began speaking again. He shook his head when she asked if he was hunting. That was good because she didn't want to interrupt his job. It was scary to think that someone as gentle as him killed others for a living. Talia kind of wanted to see him in the act, but she doubted he'd bring him along with her. Talia would be able to keep up with him definitely. She would probably ask him later. It was worth a try anyways. Talia liked seeing how people lived their everyday lives. It was really interesting to her since her life was so boring.
Talia watched him silently, nodding again when he said the paintings were pretty. She liked to sneakily take pictures of a few of them even when they said not to. Talia figured if her camera phone didn't have flash then it would be alright. There was so much beauty in one place she couldn't take it. She watched as his eyes flickered around looking at the art work around them. When he eyes stopped on her her face brightened up again. She shrugged."I know how to appreciate beauty sometimes. I'm not as narrow minded as I seem." Talia reached her hand up and touched the tip of his hair and pushed some of it away from his face gently. She loved to play with his hair. It was rare to see a guy who actually pulled off the beautiful shaggy hair. He should have become a model like she had. He'd make tons of money she knew.

THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected How did someone like her even have something like enemies? He supposed he could say that everyone had enemies, but the way she just beamed whenever she talked to people made his insides warm. Sometimes, it felt as if that were more impossible than anything. If anything, he was sure that many followers would beg and bow at her feet if she allowed them to. In fact, the day she was going to get herself a boyfriend, he was sure his heart would break a little bit. At the same time, he had no doubt that she would remain the same to him. Her full lips curved into a smile when she made a slight giggle at him. What he wanted to know was how in the world did she think he was the cute one? Remy was aware that he was probably considered handsome. It was hard to be his own judge, but he knew that once he put on a smile and acted as if he was the fancy well going man, they were easy to plant. It wasn’t as hard to trap the supernatural as he once originally thought.
Even when he wasn’t expecting anything to happen here, out of habit, he still kept a sharp look out on things. They were everyone, so it made sense to always be prepared. Even though he was going to be less prepared whatever happened. Although, it would be curious to see what would happen if he spotted a supernatural with Talia around. The thing was, the hunter hadn’t been in a lot of situations where he had to protect someone that was probably helpless. The only other time was when he was with another hunter. Usually the hunter wasn’t female (not a sexist thing, but pure fact that most hunters in the world were guys) and since Remy didn’t partake in group hunting very often, the amount of times that had happen were slim to none. But to protect Talia in a way that he wasn’t able to protect his family… he wondered how fearless he would be. Though he would probably be reckless as acting on desperate impulse. Still, it’d be interesting to see the results. Results that he wouldn’t be looking forward to experiment with.
People were moving from room to room like most everyone was looking at the pieces. Remy made a small stare down to the guard, who was only doing his duty to make sure everything was clear there. Still, he couldn’t help but feel just a little annoyed in that it was the man who was making sure Talia wasn’t going to touch anything. The oils on human tissue would eventually rot the piece away, so it was an understanding why they didn’t want anyone near it, but the largeness of the alarm was a bit much. At least a sign not to get too close would have been something. Remy was sure there was one around him somewhere that he was getting dangerously close to. The closest was on the wall next to the window. Bad positioning. The shadow effect on the portrait hid the face of the character in the piece. Literally.
His focus came back to Talia after his eyes had scanned the room once or twice. He was glad for now she at least knew that he was a hunter. She would know why he was being so cautious at random times. Most people didn’t say anything, but every once in a while, he was asked questions. His smile flickered across his face when she squeezed his hand again. The small little flirtatious comments actually was lifting him off of his drop ended mood. The heavy stress that was planted on his shoulders from daily life was lifted off as soon as she smiled or commented. He swore, all he needed was doses of these each time to forget about everything around him. ”Now, how come I ‘ave to stop but chu can continue on your way?” He asked with a very light tease in his eyes as he commented how cute she was. Adorable probably would have been a better word, but he’d keep it more mellow for now. Just for now. Who knew where else this could go. The man was pretty much for everything and anything as long as she was human.
He was shot a flirtatious look as she teased him back. A little teasing, flirtatious and not, felt so nice. It was strange how something like a couple of words could actually make someone feel more light. For Remy, the way it was working was hard to explain. There was obviously something that was making something heavy on him on a constant pace. Even now, it was trying its best to bring him back down to the ground. Now it was more like he was chatting with a classmate he hadn’t seen in years. ”Mmm, your company is too luxurious to be called putting up wid, no?” For a moment, it felt as if his accent was decaying a little bit. That worried him. His heart was very much in New Orleans, and having something like that slip was making his heart race a little faster. Oh, he missed it. He missed it so dearly. Remy needed to return, but it seemed that no day was able to fit his schedule. It wasn’t this hard moving from his home to New Orleans, but moving out…
A gentle smile came on his face when she softly brushed a couple of hairs back. With a bit of a small laugh as well just for good measure, he wasn’t surprised she knew how to appreciate beauty. He just wasn’t aware she was into this kind of beauty. Sometimes, people didn’t understand the beauty of an art piece. It was a shame, but there were many people who would be bored to tears here. ”Not many can. I’m impressed.” He told her smoothly, adding, ”Bet you dun have many adventures here that ‘ompare do today?” A glint of humor in his navy blue eyes. His eyes darted away for a little bit, seeing that he had been standing trying to clear his head long enough. Remy started to walk a little. Slowly as not to suggest he wanted to leave her but presuming the pair moved on. See what they came to see, though he was sure that the art pieces were going to now be a detail to this sudden visit.
AND IF I DON'T BELONG who would have guessed it

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high It was like all the dark and nostalgic thoughts almost vanished as soon as the hunter had entered the small and dim room. Talia wished she could just spend all her time with Remy sometimes. Whenever he left her she just wanted to drag him back and chain him to the spot. Of course she couldn't do that because he had an actual life and 'duty' he had to do. Talia loved the happiness she felt whenever he was around. It was a new type of feeling to her and she hated when it had to die out whenever he left her. She could just sit silently with the man and it would make her content. Talia wished she could have control over her emotions for at least a little bit.
She had started using her medication properly now, but it always seemed like it was disappearing so quickly. Maybe because it was starting to become her go to thing whenever she was feelilng shitty and that was not how it worked. Talia was just so desperate to be happy again. She can't even remember a full day where she had just been acting like any normal person. Without the anger, mood swings, and water works. Talia had thought of it as nothing when it first started happening. She had let it get so bad and she regretted it. At first it hadn't seemed like much she would even joke about it. Now it was getting out of hand. The only thing she felt she had complete control over was the pyro fiasco. She was having hard counseling with that.
Talia had no idea why her mind had flashed over those things. She was just so afraid Remy would just notice all the fucked up things about her and want nothing to do with her. Talia had that fear wiith almost everyone. Only time anyone found out about her psychological issues was whenever she had a breakdown around them. It was embarassing to think about an eighth of her friends had seen her at her worst. They had handled it well. Talia felt so paranoid sometimes around Remy. Whenever he smiled though all those worries flushed away. He just made her melt. It was so amazingly ridiculous.
Talia swore she could never take her eyes off of Remy. He was like artwork himself. Ah, that sounded corny as hell. Talia's face lit up even more when they met eyes again. Talia laughed and buried her face in his shoulder again, hitting him lightly on the chest. Good thing she knew her strength now. Before she would nearly winded him or made his chest cave in. Now that was nott something she wanted to think about."Because your cute little comments will be the end of me and I know you don't want that." Talia paused and pursed her lips"Well I hope you wouldn't.' She laughed, lifting her face from his shoulder and lookng back up at him. Talia felt so short sometimes, but she was afraid height. In her job she was considering short so it was sometimes hard to book photoshoots for her because they wouldn't take her for numerous reasons. Mostly from her height and her wide hips.
Sometimes her job was a bit damaging on her self confidence, but she never revealed that to people. So many people were so brutually honest about their opinions on her appearance. All modeling was was looks and image. Talia had to do runway once and they almost wouldn't take her because they said she wasn't pretty enough for they were looking for. She loved what she diid, but it was just so hard sometimes for her. The other models in Manuka seemmed to have it so easy. Talia had it easier than others, but she would just stick to the grungy, punk photographers until she came across the perfect person.
Talia snapped out of her thoughts and focused back on Remy. She shook her head with a large smile on her face. Gah, she was so giggly. Talia rolled herr eyes playfully,"Well I don't think I can say the same." She teased him, letting out a laugh. A few people in the room looked at her with annooyance all on their face. Talia's face turned red and she buried her face in his chest again out of slight embarassment. Sometimes her laugh got obnoxious She took her face away from his chest, still holding his hand. Talia never got embarassed so that was a rare moment.
Talia chuckled when he said he was impressed. He was so cute she couldn't handle it. She did like to get into old culture and looking at how much art has changed since way back. That wasn't her intention that day, but it was her thoughts in general. If her mind wasn't so cloudy she would be looking at the art more closely and actuallly takng things in.. Now Remyy was just distracting her more, but it was good."I see what you were trying to do before. Trying to question my intelligence. I am deeply offended." Talia laughed, unable to do the mock anger. She was never not smiling when she was talking to Remy. She giggled at his next question and began to move along with him as the began to walk."Nope I get into some crazy shit everytime I'm here." Talia replied with sarcasm in her tone. She gave him a soft smile, bumping his side with her arm, their fingers still interlaced. Talia loved holding hands with people. Especially him.
Manyy people found her so off putting because she was so touchy feely. Talia hadn't been like that growng up. She just loved the feel of skin on skin. It wasn't a sexual thing. Well sometimes it was. Talia felt more connected to people when she was touching them. Sounds weird to a lot of people, but it made perfect sense to her. Talia's eyes ran over all the art work, still moving slowlyy along with him. Her eyes stopped on a painting of a woman with short, blondish hair. Talia pointed to her,"Looks a bit like you." She smiled up at Remy, giggling. Talia loved messing with hiim becauuse she loveed his smile so much. Getting him to laugh and smile made her feel nice.

THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected Something must have sent her. Remy wasn’t a particularly religious man, but he supposed there was something along the lines of fate working sometimes. He didn’t know how it worked or even if had a system (just like giving good things random people on random days) but there had to be one. Events in his life were sometimes too much to not think of something. He had come here to try to let his mind at ease. It had been building up for so long. Little pile after pile. Remy wasn’t even sure what exactly it was that was building. Hunting wasn’t an easy job sure, but clearly he had to be able to have a better mind set for these things. Out of all the things, he thought somehow his brain could function properly under this kind of job and pressure of might dying every day. Turns out that his mind was falling apart a little bit. Driving itself crazy.
It was moments like these- people like this- that probably kept him sane. Of course, sane being probably a word that would have been better compared to something. Remy knew he would never be completely sane again. The sanity left him as soon as he figured out what was out there. He hated using the very typical ‘monsters are real’ line, but that was the first thought that came to his mind. He should have known that some of the stories he heard were too real. Too good. All of it. Oh, he still remembered how he found out. What he felt. It kept him driven in every type of way. That drive was also taking his toll. He felt as if all of this was helping it release a little bit of his load. Behind him he left some of the things that were on his mind. How could this man focus on anything else but Talia and the art around her. So much beauty in one room, no?
Remy let his mind drift away without it getting too far. It wasn’t as if he could completely let go. Oh, he wish he could, but he couldn’t do it in Manuka easily. There were too many of them. They had been building in this city like it was a giant nest just waiting for it to form and grow. It really did bother him that no one else seemed to notice this, but then again- the general public wasn’t exactly in the mainstream of all of this news that was crashing in. They probably soon would be if all of this continued. So though he would have loved to drift into this land with Talia, he knew he couldn’t fully. Not here. Maybe someday when the time was right for the pair of them. Remy would have to think about that one, as just the idea seemed to make him soar with excitement. And getting Remy excited about anything without some type of negative comment was a miracle on its own. Even now as she was teasing him about his small comments he made toward her, he laughed and didn’t take a word of it to heart or seriously. Even if by chance she had meant it seriously, it would be impossible for Remy to ever stop himself with something like that. ”Don’t chu know my job is to protect? Come over and I’ll make sure everyding is just fine.” A little less cute a little more of his seductive voice at the end. Something that he could argue didn’t mean anything, but just by the way he quickly looked at her, she must have known the full extent of it. And he was certain she wouldn’t really mind.
Despite her words, he let a small laugh roll off of his tongue. Trying to keep a rather straight face, but failing also quite miserably as he continued to feel the strained muscles on his cheeks. He hadn’t been smiling like that for too long and his face muscles were actually out of shape for him to be smiling so much. This was just a sign to him that he really did need to start socializing with those who made him happy. Talia. Jude. Kinsley. Tess. Maybe the last one. Things were just so strange at the moment, he wasn’t sure, but he did rather enjoy her company still. He always had. That part, though their departure was probably a little unorthodox, he still liked her. Remy didn’t, however, like that comment. Especially since he was different than he was before. Perhaps not terribly different. He was still a little more of an outcast- even in the hunter’s crowd. While most liked to use strength and agility with groups and torture, he preferred to make it quick, smart, and get out of there starting with himself and himself only. ”Aw, I’m not always dat boring, am I?” He asked, putting his eyes together in an attempt at a little puppy face, though out of all the things he could do, that wasn’t one of them, ”Fine. I hope de art is more of some entertainmant.” He told her, mis-finding the last ‘e’ and replacing it with an ‘a’ in his pronunciation.
The hunter chuckled to himself as he shook his blond head of hair back and forth. Being in this section reminded him a lot of the past culture. Remy had actually learned French, but he hadn’t practiced it in so long. Perhaps now was a perfect time. The only time he usually made a big deal out of it was when he would softly whisper it into someone’s ear. For some reason that just made whoever he was with practically leap into a moan. Instant. Some better than others, but he enjoyed watching the reaction. Gave him a delightful smile every time. But he hadn’t really spoken it in general lately. ”Da pretty gals are usually dat, my apologizes. I’m still not use to chu.” He told her with a glint in his blue eyes, believing about what she said about causing crazy shit happening. Yes, out of all the times he had seen her, she seemed to be having some type of crazy something happening. There was something within him that thought perhaps there was more behind the blanket, but he didn’t want to ask anything that might upset her. Just as he didn’t want her to ask anything to upset him. No one would understand him unless they knew where he came from. But that he also didn’t want happening.
His eyes peered at the painting for a moment and saw that she was gesturing to him and he attempted to look offended. Showing off a little bit, because he could- he rattled off, ” Se trouve sur ce point! Je vais avoir un joli visage que cette femme ne serait jamais espérer avoir.” With almost a victorious smile at the end, he stood next to the painting and slid into the same pose in the picture as to show her what he meant. Though technically she probably wouldn’t have known what he said. Which was the beauty and tease of it. The wonder. The mystery. The entire thing that made Remy such a strange man to the rest of Manuka, though being the perfect man to Talia.

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high She knew she had to be lucky to know someone as unique as Remy. Talia would just find herself staring at him sometimes because he was just so perfect. He did have natural flaws of course, but it was something she barely even notices. She was everything he hated and he didn't even know. Talia was playing with fire being with him. It would be hard to tear herself away from such a perfect being. She cherished every second with him and every smile or laugh. Talia was afraid he'd slip through her fingers. She felt that way with just about everyone. How could she know such wonderful people? They possibly couldn't stay with her for a eternity, especially now that she was immortal. That scared the shit out of her thinking about that. Usually that was when she slipped into those depressing moods even her meds couldn't help.
Talia felt like being around people she loved was enough medication for her. Remy made her smile and laugh like no one else could. There was such an easy flow to their friendship or whatever they had was. Another thing she loved was that they weren't really labeled as anything. They just were themselves around one another and that was enough. Talia could squee over him nonstop. Whenever he was brought in conversations with other friends all she did was compliment the hell out of him. No one understood why they got along so well or why Remy was so oblivious to the fact of her being a vampire and having very gay parents at home. Talia tried not to think too much about it in case he started to pick up on her nervousness. She was glad she was such a great liar whenever she decided to lie. It was painful to lie to him, but it had to be done.
Talia tried to distract herself from those dark thoughts by studying the art around her. Even if her and Remy didn't have the same interests, she could see why he did enjoy the arts. She liked knowing the story behind one painting that may seem so simple, when it really symbolizes so much more. Talia looked at people and wondered the story behind them. On the outside all you really saw was some of the beauty, but when you really learned what they were about it's a whole new image. Talia wanted to know more about Remy, but he was so secretive. It came with his job she supposed. Plus she didn't flaunt much about her past either. All he knew was that she was adopted and that was all he would get to know. Most her her other friends knew every little fact about her, besides the depression thing. It was odd keeping things away from Remy since they spent so much time together. Talia figured one day it would be brought up. She doubted he would shun her just because she was raised by gay men. Being a supernatural was a whole other topic she never wanted to come up.
Talia had no idea how she kept herself from jumping Remy sometimes. He easily went from his cute, flirty side to the sexy and seductive one in a matter of seconds and it drove her mad. She bit on the inside of her lip, letting out a chuckle."Do you always try to woo the panties off a girl?" Talia smiled up at him devilishly."It only half works on me, you know. Your material is getting old." She teased him. Remy knew that was not true at all. All he had to do was simply brush his hands across her skin and she found herself nearly ripping both of their clothes off. Talia just liked to give Remy a hard time. She bit on her bottom lip, still smiling like an idiot. She usually would've replied with something equally as suggestive and they probably would have slipped out of there and done the good deed. That was how it was with them. Both of them couldn't get enough of each other. Remy was an addictive drug she could never ween off of.
She laughed letting out a cute snort, her face turning a light pink. Talia covered her face with her free hand, shaking her head. He didn't seem like the type that even knew how to joke when you first look at him, but he had those sweet moments where he had Talia cracking up. Remy just seemed so refined and sophisticated. Talia had no idea how she even got him to warm up to her like he did. He never seemed to be that way with other people. Talia made a face at him when he made that cute puppy dog look. She gently grapped his cheeks with one hand and shook his head, giving him a light peck on the lips. She let go of his face,"Your looks make up for it all." Talia laughed. She enjoyed every moment with Remy even if they were simply just sitting in silence. Sometimes she just liked to just lay against him and watch the world. It was nice. He liked to contemplate things as much as she did so it fit.
Talia did think she was pretty cultural when it came to arts. She liked to look at artwork sometimes and listen to classical music when she had to get stuff done. Whenever she was cleaning or doing something time consuming she always blasted classical music because it was so motivational. She probably wasn't as passionate about it as Remy, because you could just see that he grew up around art and people who originated from art backgrounds. Talia wondered what his life was life back in New Orleans most of the time. He was so different than anybody she had ever met. Talia laughed and stuck her tongue out at him,"So sexist, Remy. Gosh." She giggled again, unable to ever stop laughing around him. Talia needed to be this happy all the time. If only she could be around him more. He had too much of a life she didn't want to intrude on.
Talia was nearly doubled over from how hard she was laughing when she gestured toward the painting and the attempt Remy made to look offended. She shook her head, letting out another snort. That happened whenever she laughed too hard. He began to go on some rant in French and that made her laugh even harder she had no idea why. Talia's lips were spread in a wide smile when he mocked the pose of the woman."Stop showing off, asshole." She said through giggles."Like I can understand you." Talia finally stopped laughing and leaned her face into Remy's chest trying to catch her breath from all the humor that went down. Those two just acted so silly sometimes. He made her feel so alive and wonderful.

THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected If Remy had a clue about Talia, he would leave at once. It doesn’t matter what the pair had been through. He had been through enough to know how easily the human mind was tricked. In any case, he would have seen himself as the position Jude had been in those years ago. No one could convince her the guy was somehow a bad person otherwise. She remained oblivious and romantic. It cost her the biggest price. Remy wasn’t going to be that way. He learned from his sister’s unfortunate mistake. A mistake that was too harsh to try to repeat under any circumstances. No one could really understand that unless they had been through it themselves. Those other hunters that thought all supernatural weren’t bad were kidding themselves. In what world was it even natural? In what world did the supernatural care about anything else besides the power and greed. All these years he thought it had been the humans. He was wrong. It was the supernatural.
Still didn’t stop him from getting some of the things he wanted. Something, again, that he wasn’t proud of, but there was women like Talia that could make it a bit more sane for him. No, that wasn’t the right way to put it. Remy had a bad habit of using people. Not intentially or purposefully, but that’s what it ended up being. He really did care about people. He seemed like he was pretty much heartless all the way around the board, but it was more of his life too busy to do much else but be paranoid about supernaturals. If they would have seen him thriving in New Orleans, maybe things would be different. No, everything would be different. Remy was always certain of that. Some of the paintings in there reminded him of the beauty of New Orleans. The city had fine arts such as this. As well as collective foods and massive fun people running around. He much preferred to look rather than participate. Most of the time. Remy and alcohol was never a good plan. Ever.
Yes, he generally did do that. Remy laughed lightly, giving almost a devilish smile as he did so. Only half work? Not according to his records. But he understood the playful banter. Of all the things, Remy wouldn’t really call himself humble. It was more honest. He knew his strengths and he knew his weaknesses. Seductive language was one of his strengths. ”You only wish dat. Though I have no idea why. I do nudin but idolize you.” He told her, slowly saying idolize. Pampering. He was sure that if he had someone similar to the love of his life, he would pamper her. He did enough with the other women in his life. You know, those that he didn’t go ahead and kill in the end. The rest of them he thought he treated well. Maybe. Remy did think about it. Most of the time he left without a word. Not trying to sneak out or anything, but more of just leaving. Because he didn’t have a means to be there anymore. He guessed he stayed at Talia’s a little longer. It didn’t start out that way though. He had to grow into it.
She cupped both of his cheeks and gave him a slight peck, making him smile gladly. Though his smile while his cheeks were still cupped was a little tricky. ”Why do you tease me so?” He asked in barely above a whisper, letting it loosely on his lips. That should have been Remy’s nickname. Captain loose lips. He was very good at it. She let him go and he realized with pride how happy she seemed. It wasn’t just him on one side that was loving her company. She seemed to enjoy his company just as well despite her insane teasing. Remy would never get over or get use to how beautiful she was. Her dark raven hair with her darker skin tone. Distinctive features that popped out. Any features that any woman would want. He had heard the insecurities of women like that. Talia was what they wanted to be. It was hard to imagine that Talia had the problems she did.
Talia wasn’t fully lying on that one. Remy was a bit of a sexist. Just in a strange way. It was more like he didn’t really care about much anyone else. He cared about the human species. To an extent. He cared about protecting them for the forces of the night, but other than that, he tended to be a bit of an outcast. Some of the kind things guys should have done weren’t performed by Remy unless Remy originally thought of it. He loved speaking French to them, for example, although sometimes what he would say wouldn’t be entirely appropriate. Not mean or bashing. Just not something that would flow through a gentleman’s mouth. It was most embarrassing when he found a woman who actually knew what he was saying and went wide eyed. Oddly those couple of times worked out for him. Still.
Remy knew she loved it. The way she looked at him and snorted when she laughed. That was good to know. He loved driving her crazy. He really did. What wasn’t going to be known was how much she really drove him crazy. Remy was a good actor. It’s what he did. He just kept it hidden under that stone face of his. When she put her head on his chest, he put one arm around her and the other behind her hair. More out of habit than anything else. ”Ah, can’t ‘elp but show off. I’ll just have to speak it more ofton so you may understand, hm?” He mused lightly. He realized where he was at that point, but didn’t move much. Just put the hand in her hair down, but kept one arm around her. AND IF I DON'T BELONG who would have guessed it

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high Talia really wasn't sure what she would have done with her day if she hadn't stumbled upon Remy while being a clumsy weirdo. She was pretty sure she would have driven herself crazy with the loneliness and probably would have went out and done something she would later regret. Talia did some crazy things when she wasn't right in the head, that was only the rational solution for her. People like Remy always saved her from those crazy times. He was always there when she really needed him, since her dads were never at home. There was no need for them to even follow her to Manuka. She basically lived by herself. Remy was the perfect cuddle buddy when she was feeling a little down. It did seem like all the two did was fool around with each other. That was only half of it and only the two of them knew what the other half was like.
Talia was always scared all her friendships were one sided. She was always having the time of her life around Remy. He just made her smile and that was all she needed to keep her happy. Talia knew if wanted to she could let herself see just past their friendship, but she knew all that was between them was just that. A simple friendship. Sometimes she just caught herself staring at Remy and wondering why he stuck around. Yeah, the times behind closed doors were more than nice, but sometimes when they were just sitting and talking she wondered if he was just thinking about sleeping with her. It had always been that way with men. They pretended to be so interested in her and it only ended up they wanted in the first place.
She could never use a person like that. If Talia simply wanted to have sex with someone she would just do it, not try to play it up like she actually wanted to get close to them and build up some type of relationship. Things with Remy were simple though. They had established they were friends with benefits. Talia just hoped Remy was more focused on the friend thing sometimes. She could be yapping her mouth off and all he could be thinking about is having sex with her. That would just kill any type of attraction she had toward him. Talia knew deep down that wasn't like him at all, but it was normal to have doubts. She would just need to keep her feelings toward Remy as friendly as they had always been. He was too much of a womanizer to be in any type of relationship anyways.
Talia was pretty sure the source of many of her horrible insecurities could be cured by her medications. She was feeling pretty okay that day because she had enough to last her for about a month. Talia felt fine, but there really was no way of escaping her thoughts. At the moment she really had Remy to distract her. Eventually they would have to depart and those feelings would probably creep right back. Maybe she could convince him to let her spend a night with him. He would understand. They had done it times and times before. Talia just wasn't sure if she could handle another night in that big ass house alone. There were other people she could call, but usually Remy was on the top of that list.
Her whole face nearly turned red at his comment. Talia rolled her eyes playfully, smiling bashfully at the ground. There were some times where Remy did make her feel like she was a little girl who finally spoke to her crush. He had such a perfect way with words."Is my material getting old?" Talia smiled up at him, biting down softly on her lower lip. Oh gosh,if only they weren't in public she'd be all over him in that moment. Talia wanted so bad to giggle. She wasn't necessarily trying to be sexy, so she could not take herself seriously. Talia honestly did want to know. She didn't consider herself a flirt, but she did have her moments where she thinks she even surprised Remy.
Talia about almost collapsed when he replied in a low whisper. That always did the trick for her or when he spoke in French or when he played with her hair. She squeezed his hand playfully."Because you're sexy," Talia reached up again and gave him another kiss on the lips, pressing them slowly to his and letting it linger before pulling away to smile devilishly. She could tease him many other ways as well, but that was nothing. Talia felt it was just her job to tease him. He always played along so willfully. It made it even more fun for her.
She was still trying to catch her breath as she was leaning against his chest. Talia raised her head to look up at him. She rolled her eyes,"You think you're hot shit just because you speak French." Talia tried to sound angry, but she still had a smile on her face."I only know two sentences in French. J'adore tes levres and je suis sexy," She wrapped her arms around torso, leaning her chin gently into his chest as she looked up at him. Talia wasn't even sure if those were even grammatically correct. She hadn't paid much attention when she took French in high school. She only took it for one year, so she hadn't picked up much anyways. Anyways she had a sexy man who spoke French in front of her anyways and they could find much more creative ways to make her learn that Talia would much more prefer.

THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected Perhaps it was just the town he grew up in, but Remy wasn’t always attractive. At least, he never got this sort of attention for being so. It grew as quite a shock when he first went out into the real world and was noticed by plenty of people. It could have been just the people there didn’t see him any different than the youngest McElhaney brother. The other thought was that he hadn’t really hit the right looks until after high school. Or so far into high school that everyone had already put their impression. Whatever it was, it had to be a little adjusted when he got out into the real world where there were loads of options. In his theory, that’s where it all began. So many years of being shadowed and a bit of an outcast suddenly appreciated by those around him. Honestly, Remy didn’t need a lot of approval in his life. It was just nice to have. If he could have approval by just one person in his life, he was sure that would be enough to suit him for a lifetime.
It was interesting that despite everything, she still managed to be so bashful at some of the comments he made. Not that he complained at all. Oh no. Made him feel like he still had his touch. He could make someone as beautiful and as confident as Talia turn red in the face. Remy had no idea of her condition and of her low self-esteem. He would certainly be baffled. How could someone have that low of self-esteem, but still be… well her. Everything about her. She was so precious. Remy could honestly say that she had to be his top girl. Possibly even above Tesslyn. That was hard though. Remy had loved that woman, but he needed to find himself in reality when it came into grips with that. He had been a different man then. There was so much that he knew now. He needed something more…. Oh he wasn’t sure what to call it. Sensible. Tess was one tough cookie, but that was back when he didn’t need anyone else.
Remy could see on her face. She wanted it. The way she bit her lip and had her eyes set on him. He made sure to give her that look back because the woman deserved that much at least. His eyes focused on her biting his bottom lip and he gave a sideways smile. He leaned down and gave her a small kiss before letting go and making a small laugh, ”Now, now, now chur materials could never get old, Cherie.” Being that close, he took a deep breath in before backing out a little more again. Her perfume. There was some type of lure in it. Whoever said that scents were only an accessory were kidding themselves. Just a human sense that made everything that much better. The little things that people didn’t think about. His smile deepened as he appeared to be glancing around the art museum a little more. There wasn’t much more of this left. Not that it mattered now that he had the proper company to suit him.
As much as everyone said that he was the teaser, Remy was going to bet her as the number one teaser between them. Remy could try to swoon her all he wanted, but it seemed that he had no control when it came to her. It drove him crazy. If she knew how much, she perhaps would have no mercy on him. As much as Remy liked to compliment where it was deserved, sometimes it gave the wrong impression. Although it was pretty clear where Talia and Remy stood on their friendship. He never had any problems with it before. It would just break his heart if it did end up being complicated. Remy wouldn’t know what to do with himself. With a shake of his head, he felt her lips against his once more and she pulled away. Remy made a small soft groan, ”Remind me to stop doing dat. My life would be easier.” Truth be told, his life would be harder, for there would be no tactic to killing supernatural if he didn’t. Still, it was hard to think that he was so looked highly upon. He supposed he never checked the mirror enough to check. He was too busy trying to avoid the dark circles under his eyes.
Remy translated those sentences and laughed, ”Oh, look at you. And yes, you are extremely sexy.” He told her rolling his tongue probably a couple more times than he needed to in order to speak, but his accident always took most effect when he was trying to talk in that seductive work. It seemed to work. It also happened when he got tired by accident, but at least now anyone could tell he was trying. He squeezed her hand, ”Want to learn anoder?” Without waiting for an actual response, he said in a softer tone, ”Repeat after me. J'ai besoin de toi maintenant.” He spoke very clear and very slow that she was able to grasp any word. If any woman was able to whisper that into his ear, he was done. Often, that was one of his favorite lines to use. Those that did know it were awed. Those that didn’t seemed to understand the tone and go for it anyway. Either way. Couldn’t lose.

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high Not many people did get to see past her happy, flirtatious and bubbly side unless they spent long extended amounts of time with her. Talia was very fearful of getting close to others because they would see the side of her she tried to hide. She was open about her mental conditions, but only few people got to see it first hand. Remy hadn't seen her at her worse yet. He had seen some of her episodes though that she wished she could forget about. Talia knew deep down he truly did care if he stuck around even after that. She was usually alone when she had those type of outbursts since her parents were never there in the first place to help her. Talia would usually try to find a friend of hers to sleep over with so she could calm down and Remy usually was one of her first choices. He had such a soothing voice and always knew the right things to say. Talia hadn't one of her breakdowns in quite awhile and she was hoping things would look up.
She was almost afraid to ask for a higher dosage of her medications because she would definitely raise suspicion that she was selling it. Talia sometimes did abuse her medications and use them in very inappropriate situations, but she was now realizing doing that was a bit stupid because she was using up pills that could have saved her from a day of feeling like shit. Talia wanted more than anything just to be happy. She could find distractions for certain amount of times, but the things or people that made her truly happy had to leave eventually. She felt she would always be alone in the end and she knew she would never be able to accept that. Every time the thought popped in her mind she felt like she couldn't breathe.
Talia at times did overwhelm herself with tasks just so she wouldn't let her emotions catch up with her. If her brain was on overload she wouldn't have time to worry about how she was feeling or if she was constantly with people she could try and forget. She would just let Remy be her distraction in that time being. Talia would enjoy being around him no matter what. They could just sit there without talking and she'd just enjoy the silence. She just liked being around him in general. He gave off such a vibe. Talia swore she thought the world of Remy and her friends always criticized her for it. He was such a great friend and he deserved such those type of compliments. She just always felt so corny because she would just think about him and smile because he just made her feel that way. Even though sometimes she did doubt if he was using her, but she felt that way with everyone. It was always a lingering thought in her mind.
Her gaze followed his to her lips and everything within her just wanted to drag him back to her home. Talia swore if she was not a female, everyone in the world would know how many dirty things ran through her mind. She grinned widely after he leaned down and gave her a small kiss. Talia pulled his face closer to steal another before he pulled away."Good. At least you'll never get bored of me. But who would ever get bored of me?" Talia flipped her hair dramatically, chuckling to herself. She would have to make the air between them a little less lustful so she wouldn't find herself jumping him in public. She could see in his eyes he was also trying his best not to let his impulses get the best of him. That made Talia want him even more, but she did have to remember they weren't in the privacy of either her home or his.
Talia loved stealing those little kisses from Remy. His lips were like drugs to her. Talia would kiss him until her lips became swollen. He was just so gorgeous all over, it was hard to resist him. Talia giggled at his comment,"I could very much make it easier for you. It'll just take a little bit of reconstruction of your face and some violence." She said in a sweet voice, but she knew very well she could never harm Remy. Even if she ever had to be in some type of combat with him he would most likely overpower her because he was very trained and she just...wasn't. Talia had the strength, but he had the speed and agility. It wasn't like he knew that though and she wanted to keep it that way for a very long time.
She felt her face take on a very smug look as she realized she had actually said those sentences right. Talia rolled her eyes playfully at his compliment, trying to make it seem as if his words didn't effect her in ways she wouldn't like she mention out loud. At least he understood what she said and she didn't completely butcher the language. Talia nodded excitedly when he asked if she wanted to learn more. She narrowed her eyes, trying to work through what he had asked her to repeat. Talia only knew one word in that whole sentence."J'ai besoin de toi maintenant." She repeated back almost perfectly. Talia put her hand over her mouth, unsure of she said those correctly."What does that mean? I bet it's something sexual, knowing you." She smiled, knowing pretty sure she had heard him say that before. Knowing it might help because she never really knew what he was saying whenever he whispered his sweet French tidbits in her ear. It didn't even matter what he said. It just drove her crazy regardless.

THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected Just because of Talia’s nature, he didn’t take most of what she said seriously. If she was seriously asking if he could ever get bored of her, he would never know. Although his answer happened to be the truth this time. At least in times like these. A couple of times… she seemed too serious for Remy’s liking. Where something had been so wrong, it had taken a couple of times to try to sooth her. He didn’t mind doing that for her. Honestly, Remy didn’t think much of it. There were few people in his life he could feel as if he could fully trust with his life. He wanted to take care of them. Whatever way he had to. A hunter had made him pretty fearless to other things. Everything else seemed to be a downhill breeze compared to what he had to do for a job. It was a dirty nasty little reality that he wasn’t sure if he was proud to be a part of. Saving humanity and everything was one thing, but all this other stuff made him uncertain about most of it. It’s why people like Talia were so important. So if he was able to be important to Talia, he would take it with a smile.
A small laugh escaped his lips as he tucked a rebellious strand of hair behind her ear. ”One hair disagreed with chur sass. To answer chur question, none.” He explained, placing his hand back down again, but still remaining close to her. If there was going to be any public display of affection rules in this museum, he was sure that they were breaking them. Though he was certain that it wasn’t the worse in this scene. He had heard some crazy stunts trying to be pulled in the past. It was amazing how many of those crazy stunts included him sometime. Although, truly, he preferred to keep it simple at a house. He wasn’t sure why, but it made him feel vulnerable when he was at a foreign place. No matter how much he had been craving the closeness it provided. The thrill of somewhere else should have been covered with different means anyway. If someone was as desperate as to try to all these different locations to get a fun time, they really needed to be changing tactics. Even as he thought of all of this, he was seriously considering not waiting for Talia. At the moment, it seemed to be a fun game of who could drive who crazier. Maybe he should wait longer. Every part of him except for his mind disagreed with his logic.
Remy knew how he would be absolutely screwed if something ever happened to his face. Even getting a bad haircut was probably going to end up changing his entire way of hunting. He wasn’t sure if he could change. It would have to be like training all over again, and there was no way he was going to go through that horror the second time. Fighting something that was out there and dangerous for real. Without any experience in it before. Most hunters started training with another hunter, but he didn’t always have those resources. With his line of work, it was almost impossible to have someone else on the job anyways. But he didn’t know that back then. All of that… he wondered how Talia would think of him. Which was silly, it shouldn’t’ have mattered. But as he looked inside of his gut, he realized that her opinion of him would matter greatly. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to take a look of disgust from Talia. The thought of it made him sick. It wasn’t a question he was going to ask. Just in case the answer was unexpected.
It was going to take that much. Something that will be easy if he really wanted to accomplish that. He was surprised that having his face burnt from that fire from the firetamer hadn’t done anything. It must have had something to do with the angel that saved his life. The one he still didn’t know what to do about, and honestly just wished that she would go away. ”That sounds like that would take pain. Don’t do that to me.” He said with a small begging in his tone, puckering out his bottom lip. Remy wasn’t sure how the puppy eyes worked, but he attempted to do just that. It was probably easier with darker eyes, which worked to his advantage. He was sure that big dark blue eyes could really make that kind of difference. He had to blink a couple of times because he could feel his eyes start to water. He placed a finger and thumb on his eyes, as if trying to clear them. That worked for a little bit, now didn’t it? ”How can you keep your eyes open for dat long?” He asked with part amusement. Also to announce that she was fine considering when his eyes started to water, something was very very wrong.
Hearing her saying it and re-translating it, he gave a satisfied smile. If she could just say that without as much caution, that would be gold. He was sure she thought that he spoke French to all of his hookups. Which wasn’t true. Supernatural didn’t deserve it. He tried to do little things to help him differ between work and play. He put as much effort into both of them, but different kinds of efforts. Very serious versus playful gestures. The way she repeated it was certainly perfect. Just as he had. Remy put both arms around her, clasping his hands behind her back so that she was somewhat pressed up against him. Something that he couldn’t take anymore. ”Really want to know?” He whispered. For effects and because he could, he put his cheek against hers so that he could just breath into her ear, ”I need you now. J'ai besoin de toi maintenant.” Even though it was meant to make her crazy, turned him a little crazy too.

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high Sometimes how she felt toward Remy confused even her. A majority of the time she remembered where they stood and that they were friends. Talia couldn't allow herself to let her emotions get tangled in their friendship and let herself get hurt. Remy was the love 'em and leave 'em type and his whole job tactic revolved around that as well. Even though with his job it was more like love 'em and kill 'em. Talia sometimes had to remind herself that these two were strictly friends. Anyone watching the two would think they were in love. Talia did love Remy, but not in that way, or she didn't think so. She felt like she was still too young to have experienced love. The idea of teenage love made her sick. Talia couldn't imagine herself loving one person passionately for a long time. She would sometimes watch and couples and just wonder how they got to that point and if it was going to last.
In high school there had been one guy in particular she had been dating who had fallen head over heels for her. Talia found his clingy behavior annoying and hoped and prayed that love wasn't like that. She could barely handle being around herself, so how could she spend years and years with one person with one person and how does one know they are even in love? Talia was very in tune with her emotions and felt it was healthy to deal with them, but looking back at all the people she had been with she had felt nothing but physical attraction. Talia knew even if she did have some type of feelings for Remy it was a small crush. Who wouldn't crush on a beautiful man like that? Plus she always had a little crush on every attractive man she saw anyways. Relationships and all that shit confused her, she would probably learn in time and she was grew. Talia knew she had her whole immortality to learn that shit.
Through pretending to still be human sometimes she even forgot she was immortal. Talia would out live her parents and a majority of her friends and she'd be stuck looking eighteen/nineteen years old. She already looked a bit older than her age, so she guessed that would work to her advantage. Talia would live in the moment and deal with the aging of the ones she loved later on. She had always been afraid of dying and now that it took a lot to kill her, Talia wished she could have that vulnerability. She wanted a way to reverse it. Talia knew if she had never been turned her life would be much different, so in some way she was grateful.
If she hadn't been turned she would have been a single parent by then and living off her dads' money. Talia shuddered thinking about that because it was the sad truth. She always associated herself with douchebags. Remy was probably the only guy who treated her like she deserved to be treated. Although they were complete opposites their personalities meshed together so well. Talia felt like they had a deep connection and she felt like she could tell him anything and she truly wanted to. Remy actually knew quite a lot about her and she never very little. Talia was scared to ask about her past. Sometimes he would tell her things, but they were always small details. She had collected months of information and pieced them together like a puzzle so she felt she knew enough about him.
Talia faced turned a slight pink as he pushed a lone hair behind her ear. She swore that Remy made her feel like she was in one of those corny romantic movies. Talia giggled softly at his words, smiling up at him sweetly."Damn right, no one." She nipped playfully at his jaw while still laughing. Talia always expected the worst out of every one and she knew that was anxiety talking. As much confidence she showed she truly was insecure and only a few people knew that. Talia wished she could trust people because she had no reason to, but she was just afraid of being left alone. Her mother had left her alone even if it gave her a truly blessed life, she had still been abandoned by her own mother. Talia swore up and down she never wanted to meet her mother. She felt like it would be some type of closure if she did meet her because Talia felt she was the source of all her problems.
She was very confident in her own strength and how to use it, but sometimes she was afraid Remy was coming onto her lies. Talia sometimes thought she was rougher with him than she was actually being. She had to remember that human girls were strong, but not weak at the same time. Sometimes it was so difficult around Remy because she was always second guessing herself or letting herself get to comfortable around him. She laughed as he stuck out his bottom lip, trying his best to pull off a puppy dog look."But I thought you liked pain," Talia grabbed his chin and gently shook his face, still shaking lightly with laughter. She shook her head as she continued to laugh when he began to wipe his eyes."It takes a lot of practice and you need a lot of work." She teased him, reaching her hand to wipe away a tear that had escaped from his watering eyes. Talia always used the puppy dog face whenever she wanted something with her parents and it always worked. Whenever she wanted something from someone else she would just use her charm and body to tell them what she wanted.
Talia's green eyes didn't leave Remy as he listened to her try not to butcher the language. She felt his arms wrap around her and settle on her back, and Talia put her hands on his stomach, feeling the outline of his muscles. Her heart leaped up into her throat as he brought his voice down to a whisper. She took in a shaky breath and leaned her face into his chest. Talia let out a breathless laugh,"Jesus, Remy, you can't do that to me." She said in a low voice. Talia wished they were in the privacy of either one of their bedrooms. Her body was screaming at her, but her mind was telling her she had more self control than that. Sometimes she didn't even think she had one ounce of self control.

THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE what i expected Did Remy have feelings for her? Nothing that he knew of. He supposed out of all the women in his life- Talia had to be his favorite. Kinsley Duval was a close second, but that was comparing apples and oranges. One thing that most people understood by just having a small glance of Remy’s behavior was that he enjoyed different. Variety. Remy was never the same character twice, as he wouldn’t have been as into it as before. If there was a time where he had to repeat the role, it was often far apart from each other. Enough to where it felt like a new experience all over again. In the hunter world, he was very much a very strange hunter. Not very many hunters wanted to become that close or think to the extent he did. Not that hunters were lazy- it was just easier to attack the target right up front without having any mind games. Remy understood that. It just didn’t work out for him like it did with the rest of the hunters. In that world, he was quite different. That was comparing him to the hunters who thought supernatural were sometimes warm and fuzzy creatures. A terrible and misguided theory if there ever was one. Even in his early life before he had become a hunter, he had been the odd one out. The outsider of all the other little groups around him. The quiet one in his family of outgoing and social people.
So it was safe to say that though his life changed distract, there were still aspects he held most dear. All of the ones who were exactly the same were predictable. Predictability was only in his favor when there was a hunt. When it came to humans (though he wasn’t too entirely picky as long as he got what he wanted), he preferred those like Talia. Clearly. If Remy didn’t enjoy your company, there was no question if he did or not. His life was too precious and too short for him to be patient with those he didn’t care for. Sometimes he stayed respectable for the sake of not gaining a powerful enemy, but it was very clear what he might have thought of them. He was snarky and avoided at all costs if that was the chance. Annoyance and witty, bitter remarks whenever he did have the unfortunate visit to see them again. It wasn’t difficult to pin-point it. Even if most of his job was based off of how he could act, he preferred not to act if he could help it.
Talia was indeed very playful. The way she would easily smile at him right before gently grazing along his jaw line. Quite the rare combination. Made him wonder how many other people she did this with. Remy would like to think he was special in that factor, but he knew while unique probably not special enough. That would take a specific kind of special person he would imagine. Someone that didn’t do what he did for a living. Remy came into terms with that a long time ago. Too many stories of lost loved ones. Too many histories of being caught up in the wrong environment. It was a risk that he was able to take, but not really something he wanted someone else taking for him. Although Remy was exactly warm and fuzzy, not very many people could classify the man as selfish. If he were selfish, he would have stayed in New Orleans.
A light smile came on his face, ”Don’t sound too surprised.” He said with a little hint of sarcasm in his voice, noting yet another time where the girl just seemed confident all over. ”Boring would not fit ‘nder de categories.” He emphasized. While he was sure that she had enough confidence to tell her so, he wanted in no shape or form think that she was any bit of boring. Talia was not a solid color of personality. She did have to understand that. If she didn’t understand that, the girl was blind to everything else. She was a smart girl. Though that wasn’t really a very solid reasoning either. Some of the brightest people he knew- men and women alike- didn’t see what others saw as obvious. It was the perspective of being bias against yourself. Remy would know that lecture better than most.
Pain was something Remy actually didn’t like…. Depending. Too many battle wounds to say very much else, but at the same time, Remy was pretty damn rough. How or why he actually didn’t have a clue since it didn’t exactly fit with everything else he did rather gently. Like a doe. That just liked to be all the exceptions of his life. ”Not someding to ruin meh face.” He teased, closing his eyes when his face was being shook. Remy placed both hands on her cheeks, mushing her face together while silently chuckling to himself. ”This look suits you cherie.” He grinned lightly, letting go of her and putting his arms back around her. Simply too adorable for words. That really wasn’t a word he used to describe things either. It was just a special one he saved for people like this. He wished there were more words to try to describe her, but he supposed he could only go so far with it.
The fact it drove her crazy made it all worth it. He could just tell the way her body moved and her fingers started to lace. They needed to get out of there pretty damn quick if they were going to get anywhere without getting sent out of the place. ”So ‘ould we get out of here? Very quicklay.” He purred, not sure how much he could take himself even though he tried to stay more calm about it just for show. Couldn’t give away the big prize just yet. Remy tended to hold back more in times like these. If he didn’t, that different animal would show, and that wasn’t really a scene that he wanted everyone to see in the art museum. That one was better inside the walls of his own home. Or her home, but that was always determined by whichever one lead the party. It looked like they were going to Remy’s by this rate, but it could easily turn. AND IF I DON'T BELONG who would have guessed it

this gets me bythe drugs that keep me high Sometimes Talia wished she could just listen to Remy talk all day long. He could be reading the phonebook and she'd still listen. His accent made her want to either hug him so hard his head would pop off or rip her clothes off and have her way with him. There was no in between. There were no right words to explain how she felt about him. She wished every friendship she had felt like this. It was like electricity was running through her body whenever she was with him. Talia loved those type of people who she just loved being around. There didn't need to be any type of speaking or anything. Just sitting with them made her happy. Being in their presence made her feel safe. There was only a few people who made her feel that way and they were addicting to me around. It was the closest to being happy she could be. It was like the depression was completely erased from her mind. Like she was just a normal nineteen year old girl hanging out with the people she loved. She only wished she felt that way all the time. Depression was like an anchor. It held her down with everything she did. There was no way of escaping it.
Talia at least wanted someone or something to blame for the ways he felt. She wasn't even sure if it was a genetic thing because she didn't know who her biological parents were. Her parents told her they didn't know much about Talia's mother. Only that she had gotten pregnant too young and she was not financially stable to raise her properly. Talia always wondered where she came from. Her mother was Cuban and that was all she knew. Talia knew one day she would dive into what her life would have been like, but it would take some time. She was still trying to come into terms with who she was and what she wanted to do with her life. What culture she was and who her mother really was would be a priority she would deal with in the future. Talia didn't want to have those questions all her life. It was just too much to deal with in that time frame. Plus she was afraid of what she would find. She had grown up in a life that was the complete opposite of what she was supposed to have.
A large smirk was on her lips at his sarcasm. Talia punched him lightly, giggling as she did so. She could not stand him sometimes and she meant that in an extremely good way. He was too much to handle because he always had her smiling and laughing at something. She adored him."Be quiet, Remy. Don't sound too surprised" She tried her best to match his accent, but completely failed. Talia laughed again."I tried." Talia was not even paying attention anymore to world around them. It always seemed that way. They always seemed to be in their own little world and it was hard to infiltrate it. Time flew by when she was with him. Talia rolled her eyes playfully at him,"And what would be under those categories then?" She asked, almost flirtaciously. Talia batted her eyelashes dramatically at him, leaning her body more into him. She pulled back just a bit as she broke from her character and laughed gently. Talia could be a bit of a mess sometimes. So could Remy, so that was completely fine.
Talia tilted her head to the side slightly to try and imagine his face with scars on it. He would make them look sexy actually. Battle scars would make him look more manly. Sometimes he could look a bit girly, but she'd never say that to him. Talia didn't really like manly men anyways. They were too full of themselves and it irritated her beyond anything. Talia giggled again,"Oh please, Remy. Could your head get any bigger?" She teased right back. Talia burst into a fit of laughter as he squished her face in between his hands. She swatted at him playfully."And I think a black eye would suit you pretty well, right now." Talia mock threatened him. She made a face as him as he let her face go and put his arm around her. Talia could not even describe how warm her heart felt then. That sounded so corny in her head, but there was really no other way to describe it. She felt warm all over as she found herself smiling at the ground as they continued on. He was exactly what she needed when she was feeling like crap.
It was like a light switch. Either one of them could say one thing and they'd instantly notice the sexual tension between them again. Talia went from feeling warm to hot all over then. She gripped a piece of his shirt tightly in her hand. Talia nodded at his words."Okay, let's go. I don't even care." She said breathlessly. Talia just knew they needed to get out of there quick. She wanted to feel every part of him against her and they definitely couldn't do that type of thing in public. It probably already looked like they were about to tear eachother's clothes off right there. She could only imagine the looks they were getting from some people then. Maybe a mom pulling her kid away from their view so they wouldn't see the inappropriateness going on.
