I'm There For You (Eliza)

Aria walked down the city's main street. This part was always populated with many people. But she saw things most didn't see. Like the true nature of some of these people. Mostly because of her own true nature which she spent so much time trying to hide. No one could ever know the truth about her. She knew that from the moment she found out she could shift into a tiger. She sort of wanted to be normal but she learnt to live with it. She did have her parents to teach her and her best friend was also a shapeshifter. Her life wasn't that lonely, but she still wished she knew more people who understood her and were exactly like her.

She walked into a small coffee shop down the road. It wasn't that crowded which was weird. Maybe because of the nice, small, cozy feel of the whole place. People thought it looked poor and cheap. Aria saw it's real beauty. She loved the coffee shop, it was a nice place to spend time to think. She walked in by herself and walked to the counter. "Hazelnut Ice Coffee please." she told the guy with a smile and looked in her purse for the money. She took out her wallet and gave the man the money as she took her drink. She put the leftover change in the change cup on the side of the counter and walked to an empty table. She set her purse in front of her and took a sip of her coffee and put that on the table.

She was actually awaiting an arrival of a recently met acquantince. Her name was Elizabeth and she too was a shapeshifter. Aria could tell that Eliza would need help. Aria would have hated to go through the whole thing alone so she would help Eliza. She was new to all this and needed help. Aria would teach her easier ways to shift and the difference between good and evil. It would always be good to know another shapeshifter on her side. Maybe Elizabeth could be like the little sister she never had. But now she was getting way ahead of herself.

Today was playing out to be one of the better days that she had experienced thus far in America. She had been here for a couple of weeks now and had by sheer luck found a job at a small animals shelter right outside of town. It was a privately run, non-profit organization that rescued all types of animals. It was exactly the perfect job for Eliza considering what she was and being a shifter allowed her to relate to the animals well.

To make the day even better she had gotten her first pay check and she was meeting a girl that had befriended her a few days ago. With her first pay check, Eliza stopped by a store and bought some clothes for cheap. The lady that she was working for had given her a place to stay for now as well which meant she had been able to take a shower. It felt nice to have a warm place to sleep and shower. She didn't even care that she wasn't living like she used to, she liked this place better than her home anyway.

Hoping she wasn't late Eliza walked into the coffee shop in her new jeans, white sweater and grey jacket. Her hair was down for the most part with only a little bit on the left side pinned up. Her feet were clad with black flats that had been cheap and comfortable. She hadn't even realized how skinny she was until she had taken a shower that morning. Clothed she didn't look too horrible but when she looked at herself in the mirror she realized she could not only see her ribs but could also see her spine rather well. With time she knew that she would be able to gain back her normal body weight.

Shortly after she walked in she saw Aria, the girl she had met a few days ago and with a small smile went and sat down at her table. Hey, sorry if I am late. I wanted to do some shopping before I came here she replied and indicated to the bags that were now sitting at her side by her chair.

Aria slowly drank her coffee. She glanced around the shop a bit on the lookout for Elizabeth. Maybe she was running a little late. It happened. She knew she would have to be patient which wasn't exactly her strong point in life. She placed her coffee back next to her bag. She heard the door open and looked up momentarily and saw Elizabeth walking towards the store. She smirked to herself and looked back down at the table acting as if she was just early and Eliza wasn't late at all. She smiled as the girl took a seat across from her.

"Hey" she said with a smile. She glanced at the bags curious as to what she bought and her fashion taste. She had to give a smile in approval. This girl definately had great taste and was skinny so everything would look amazing on her. She was curious as to what her shapeshifter form was. "You're not late. By the way I love what you bought." she complimented her new friend. Or soon-to-be friend. She knew compliments were the way to get people to enjoy your company. It got her many allies and she loved making people feel special and confident.

She took another sip of her coffee. "Want anything? My treat" she offered with a smile. She held her coffee up a bit then put it down with a smile. Might as well by her something since the trouble Aria put her through to meet her there. Eliza could've had better things to do than spend her time in some small coffee shop. But they did have things to discuss. And Aria was there to help Eliza whether she wanted the help or not. "Well we might as well get to the reason behind us meeting." she said a bit quietly in a low whisper. "I had someone when I was learning to control myself. But you don't I want to be there for you. Only if you let me of course." Aria said. Eliza knew what she was talking about. Aria didn't want to make Eliza feel forced to have her help.

The coffee shop was cute, pretty small and rather cozy. It didn't really seem like a coffee shop at all, it seemed more like a quiet little living room in someone's house. But of course the people sitting around drinking coffee made it seem more like the place it was, a business. Eliza enjoyed being able to visit the different places around town because it was all so different and new. Romania was beautiful, that was for sure, but it wasn't like America. Instead of old castle type buildings and proper people walking everywhere there were run down areas and nice areas, varying people depending on the area you were in. It was a place of wonder and mystery to her, at least for now it was.

Thank you, first time I have ever been shopping and it sure was an interesting experience she replied with a small smile and glanced at her bags. She had only gone to two different stores but they sure had been crowded and the customs of standing in line and paying was something she had never done before. Her family had owned servants that did all of the shopping in the town so that none of her family actually had to do it themselves. She liked it though, she liked the independence that she got from being her own person and doing things for herself. But then again she had always wanted to know what life outside of her homestead was really like, now she knew.

Oh no thank you, I am good she replied when Aria offered her a drink. She wasn't so sure that she liked any of the stuff here. Coffee had never been something she had liked and she didn't want to stand there and try to figure out what was good. Someday she would figure all of this out but right now she was here on more important business. That business was not left out of the conversation for long as Aria brought it up almost instantly. I would enjoy having someone to help me out since I really have no idea about what I am or what is going on in the world around me she replied.
