Oh, dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light. The dark lord rides in force tonight And time will tell us all. Assassinating someone on a Saturday night had become a routine for the faerie.
There were always 'clients' who had a grudge or whatever against a particular person, and their hatred rose to such an extent that they wanted nothing more than the person dead. The hater would then call upon his contacts who lived in the dark; assassins. They would pay the money, and sit and wait as the assassins carryout their duty. Sometimes it would be quick, sometimes they were long, but the money was all worth it in the end.
Her victim tonight had been a powerful tycoon, who specialized in providing guns for the terrorists in Iraq. Her client, as usual, was a hater of the tycoon and in order to settle scores between them, one of them had to die. Rissa had gotten a call on a Friday morning, the man on the other line promising her twenty thousand dollars if the one he wanted dead was killed. As usual, she accepted the task and now had a suitcase perched next to her, its contents just dying to be spent. To be honest, the money didn't really matter to her; they often went to charity anyway. No, it was the thrill of having something to do; something that gave you an adrenaline rush and the thrill of hunting.
The bike shed was empty tonight, only occupied by the female sitting on a railing and a breeze which sent her hair whipping into her face. Rissa looked up and stared unblinkingly at the moon, and at the same time, twirled a thin knife between her fingers. The knife was dripping with blood from her latest victim and as she twirled it, crimson drops fell from the blade and onto the ground. Tonight's kill had been easy; her victim had been in his bedroom and all she did was throw the knife. When the alarms began to shriek, she barely had time to pull it out and flee the scene before the guards came storming in. Rissa looked down at the sinister weapon, marveling at the way red seemed to drip from it. Smiling thinly, she pulled out a handkerchief from her pocket, wiped the knife once before putting it away, not wanting to be caught with a knife in her hands by anyone.
Bored now, she barely managed to light a cigarette due to the wind and when she finally did, blew smoke out into the open. Tonight was a night for celebration, and she figured that she should at least have a smoke while she was at it.

_______________________________________________ Aria knew she shouldn't be out this late in the night. It wasn't safe with all these people running around on the dark side. Even her roomate told her to stay inside at night. But she thought it was safer outside. How would Aria transform to defend herself in a small apartment without making a mess of things and getting unwanted attention. There was no possible way! Which was why she spent some of her nights outside. She wasn't tired for some reason. The last thing she wanted was sleep. She sort of just wanted to sit alone and stare at the moon. Just as a place to think without the stresses of every day life and this possible war that is going on.
The best place to be alone was behind the bikesheds. It was usually a secretive place. She couldn't imagine anyone being there at this hour. Then again she was there at this hour so that had to mean something. She walked closer but stopped right in her steps noticing another girl there. There was something about that girl that gave Aria a really bad vibe. Part of her was saying to turn back and walk away before the girl noticed her. The other part of her was scolding her for being so paranoid. She couldn't just be scared whenever she got a bad vibe, she had to be brave. But she wondered if this choice could possibly be the death of her or get her seriously injured.
She silently walked next to the girl and leaned against the bike stand. "Do you mind if I just hang out here for a bit?" she asked quietly and politely. She wondered if she was disturbing anything. She wondered about the true nature of the girl. She looked down to the ground and narrowed her eyes at it. There was a few crimson drops on the ground. That looked suspiciously like blood. But she wasn't going to voice that outloud and ask the girl. That would be too weird. It would get her into a lot of trouble. But then again she could tell she was already in trouble just by being there._______________________________________________

Oh, dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light. The dark lord rides in force tonight And time will tell us all. The faerie's eyes seemed to glow before the golden light shone by the moon. The star wasn't full yet, not for another one or two weeks but when it was, she knew she had to stay indoors. She didn't want to get ripped apart by a bloody mutt. Rissa blinked, shook her head a little and sighed quietly. All this killing was making her insane. Soon she would be an insane idiot going out and murdering every single thing that moved. Maybe she should retire. Or not. Either way, she was already on the verge of screwing her own life up. So what if you're of royalty; you could still screw up your life anyway. And she was already screwing up hers by smoking, killing and drugs. No one gave a shit so why should she?
Footsteps behind her made her blink and she felt herself stiffen, her body flying into alert mode. Her fingers itched for her knife, it surely wouldn't mind drawing blood again tonight wouldn't it? Her green eyes moved to its corners and out of it, she could see a female blonde, perhaps a year or two older. Rissa blinked again, this time slowly and allowed herself a glance over her shoulder. The blonde was slightly shorter than her so it gave Rissa an advantage in height. Her eyes moved up and down, tracing the girl's physical structure, looking for signs of weakness she could apprehend anytime. In the girl's eyes, Rissa could already see the flash there; the message had already been thrown out it seems; the warning to stay away. For some reason, she had that aura ever since she had been born. The aura to stay away, that she was dangerous, she was lethal and could snap your neck in a second. If the blonde had a brain, she would run away. Now.
The girl either had no brains or simply had guts because she wasn't fleeing just yet. She raised an eyebrow when the blonde asked rather politely whether she could hang around a little. The hand that was about to reach for the knife stopped and the faerie curled it into a fist to stop it from twitching and placed it on her lap. She seemed harmless, but instinct told Rissa that she was not actually human and to stay alert. In response, she nodded at the girl's request and glanced around the bikeshed. It was only her and the blonde. Not that she required assistance if she needed it anyway. Her eyes followed the girl's to the drops of blood that her knife had dripped moments ago and Rissa allowed herself a wry smile. The blonde had probably already guessed what the faerie was.
"If I may inquire." she said, her voice quiet with a soft hint of danger in it. "Are you, perhaps, the one who is now looking or in other words, hunting for me?" She only spoke when she had to, and now the time seemed alright to do so. If the blonde was someone that was looking for her, she needed to be shot down. Immediately. Rissa simply sat there, not moving from her spot and continued to stare at the blonde, waiting patiently for an answer. She did have all night after all. note: ohoho this should be interesting. _______________________________________________ Aria analyzed the girl's moves. Trying to sense any offensive position. Any sign of the girl trying to inflict pain on her. She noticed the girl's hand reach for something but stopped and curled into a fist. Aria knew she should just run off, but that would be suspicious. Might cause a wild chase. She had the voice of reason in her head telling her to calm down and open up her senses. She could defend herself perfectly and escape with her life. No one could take on a tiger. They could be nasty creatures. And Aria didn't underestimate her own strength. But she knew not to underestimate this girl right beside her. For all she knew this girl could be a serial killer!
But Aria knew this girl wasn't normal. She was some type of creature, like herself. And definately not on the light side. But maybe she shouldn't jump to conclusions, even though jumping to conclusions seemed great at the moment. And she had a conclusion that the nature of this girl was a killer. She looked up at the girl and stared at her for a minute up and down. Definately was something dark about the girl. She sensed darkness of some sort. Aria thought of creatures she knew supported the dark side. There were vampires, but Aria didn't sense vampire from the girl. There could always be a fallen angel, she would have to keep an eye for scratch marks... Maybe a faerie. If she was a faerie then it would prove that Aria wasn't human. Which could be very dangerous.
But she could always be any other creature and be on the dark side. But Aria knew she couldn't trust this girl. She had to get out of there but she knew it would be too late. The girl asked if Aria was looking for her. More like hunting things like her. Aria wasn't really a hunter but if she got threatened she would fight. She heard danger in the other girl's voice. She shook her head and stared at the girl. "I'm not really a hunter." she said simply. She didn't enjoy killing but only did it as self defense. To keep the balance between everyone. But now she sort of wished she stayed out of the war. But she had to do what was right.
"I'm actually not looking for anyone." she said simply with a shrug and turned to the girl. "But there must be a reason that you fear you are being hunted." she said in an innocent tone. "Did you kill someone?" she asked with a light laugh but gave her a look that meant she was dead serious. Aria had no idea what she was doing. Why couldn't she just let the whole thing go. Just leave this girl to her thoughts and go to her safe home. The last thing she needed to do was make enemies _______________________________________________

Oh, dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light. The dark lord rides in force tonight And time will tell us all. A thousand messages breezed into Rissa's mind, information given to her by simply staring at the blonde female in front of her. Already Rissa was judging her by her very appearance. The blonde hair, the blue eyes, the simply innocent looking face. Most blondes would normally flee already, but this was one was standing firm. How amusing. And how very different too. It was obvious already that this was no ordinary human. As if to prove this point to herself, she allowed her right hand to turn invisible. When she didn't get any reaction from the female (probably because her hand was still visible in those pretty blue eyes), her thoughts were confirmed that the girl was a creature like her too.
An angel due to that blonde hair? A vampire because of her innocent looks? Or maybe even a mutt. Who knows? The main thing was that the girl didn't look as though she shared the same alliance as the faerie. She looked purely...light. Probably because of her looks. Rissa inwardly shook her head, Helena looked innocent too until her true colors began to nastily show. Speaking of Helena...she wondered where her partner in crime was. Rissa shook her head inwardly again. Focus. she hissed in her mind. This wasn't a normal situation, not some weak, pathetic human she could just brush off with a knife.
Rissa stood up from the railings and casually leaned against the pillars that supported the bike shed and at the same time, deftly braided her hair into two with rubber bands that was on her wrist while waiting. It was something she liked to do when she was idle, and plus, it kept her hair out of her face whenever she engaged in combat. Her braiding stopped when the blonde replied and her quick fingers halted for a moment before they resumed again, finishing up the last twist and turn, the girl's words repeating in her mind.
"I'm not really a hunter. I'm actually not looking for anyone. But there must be a reason that you fear you are being hunted. Did you kill someone?"
The faerie's eyes narrowed. She simply stood there and gave the girl a long, emotionless look before she burst out laughing, finding the whole situation humorous all of a sudden. She was no hunter nor someone who was looking for her to whisk her back to Duke and Duchess Fallows, just another random creature out here late at night. How foolish of her to actually want to engage in a fight in the first place. "I do not fear being hunted." she said neutrally, flicking the now cigarette stub over her shoulder. Her final question made Rissa tilt her head to one side, her face reverting back to its usual blank expression. One night of laughter was enough; she didn't need anymore. "Indeed I did." Rissa replied, raising an eyebrow at her. "Is there a problem?" [/blockquote]
