heavy rain poured onto the window pane, startling the young girl from her thoughts. she looked up, her light colored orbs bright in wonder and flitted towards the window where the sound was coming from. she smiled out the window, pushing the hair from her eyes before glancing back down at the work she had currently been focusing on. a crossword puzzle that had been in the local newspaper that past sunday. no one in her house, it was only her and her parents, had bothered to do it. and then because she was bored, she had scavanged it up from the basement recycle pile and it was now located on her kitchen table. her pen was between her pearly white teeth, knawing down on it out of consentration and slight frustration. the 2002 winter olympics host. how the hell am i supposed to know that?
the words were slightly muffled by the plastic pen, making it come out slightly unintelligable. she huffed and layed down the pen, pulling her hair out of her face and pinning it up with the clip she had yanked from her hair previously. she gave up on the stupid crossword, standing up and walking over to the front door. she slipped on her heels, grabbing her phone and an umbrella before heading out into the rain. samantha thorne giggled as the rain lightly sprinkled onto her shoulders before she had the chance to duck onto her umbrella. she grinned, looking out at the sidewalk before her, not noticing where she was headed. she assumed into town because of the larger amount of cars, but besides that it looked the same. well, the ground looked the same to her. she looked up, trying her best to see through the rain, her bright and shiny orbs finding the the town multiplex. grinning she ran across the street and into one of the fast food restaurants, pushing her umbrella closed and looking around. she walked over and got into line, pondering on what she would get. she wasn't exactly hungry, so a simple milkshake would suffice. a small strawberry? no, medium. wait, no, large. yes, large. she loved milkshakes. she grinned and ordered, then dug inside her pocket, pulling out a five dollar bill. she paid, grabbing her milkshake and spinning around to find a seat. she frowned lightly when she couldn't find one, well an empty table. she bit her lower lip, walking over to a semi-empty table that housed only one person. uh, hey. do you mind if i sit here? everywhere else is taken. she smiled politely, sipping her milkshake. Run, wolf warrior, to ends eternal. Sebastian did not like rain.
Perhaps the main reason would be that he was a cat; after all, cats did not like rain but in Sebastian's case, it was a different story. He actually loved rain at one point, years running with his beloved in the cool, wet phenomena was something that he often reminisced. The cheetah actually loved frolicking in the rain, and the moment he returned home to his apartment, it was fun shaking it off and splattering the rooms with water. But now as he stared out the window in a comfy armchair watching the rain pitter-patter on his window, he felt an overwhelming feeling of loss. Something was missing. And he knew exactly what. Shaking his head to clear such depressing thoughts, he then decided to focus on something else, something else that would distract him.
"Well, lookie here Koyi, it's raining." he commented to his Shiba Inu. When he received no answer, he turned around and the cream colored animal that had been sitting under him two seconds ago wasn't there. Both dog and owner got along well despite them being different animals. Perhaps it was because of Sebastian happy nature that the dog took an instant liking to him. Either way, Sebastian never found out why did Koyi took a liking to him immediately the moment the shifter stepped into the pound. "Koyi ma chère?" he called out anxiously, getting up. Did the dog fall out of the window or something? "Koyi~?" He pulled at the name, dragging it as he looked around the apartment. Loud scratching at the door was his reply and the young man hurried over to the front door. There the little dog was, scratching and pawing at the door, making yipping sounds as he did, apparently wanting to go out. "But it's raining." Sebastian said unhappily, squatting down next to the door. Koyi's reply was s snort and the animal continued scratching at the dog, making it clear that he disagreed with whatever his owner was saying. "Oh, alright." the shifter said, getting up and grabbing his jacket from where it hung on the sofa. "But you're staying in here." He picked up the little animal and zipped it up within the jacket. The Shiba Inu's head poked out from the neck of the material, panting happily. Ruffling the dog's cream colored head fondly, Sebastian headed out, locking the door behind him, remembering at the last minute to bring an umbrella along. Five minutes later, he was out in the open, the rain pelting down on his umbrella as he hurried towards town with a dog in his jacket. He actually didn't minded shifting at the moment, but with Koyi with him, he was unable to do so. He soon arrived at the town's multiplex, and the first thing he saw was a fastfood restaurant. Running towards it, he burst into the restaurant cheerily, the rain behind him as he welcomed the warmness the place provided. "I'm not hungry." he said at once the moment it was his turn at the counter. As the woman behind the counter looked bewildered, he grinned and the dog's head poked out of the jacket. "But he is. A Coke and fries please, mon ami." Soon enough, he was sitting at a table, feeding fries fondly to the little dog when a young redhead appeared with a milkshake, asking him politely whether she could take the seat opposite him. "Oh mon dieu, of course you can!" he said cheerily, gesturing to the seat while the Shiba Inu snitched up the fries in his hand. "Do sit, miss! No one's stopping you!" [/blockquote]
