It was hot for a spring morning. Declan was already sweating and he had only been running for a few minutes. He had left his apartment in shorts and a t-shirt, and now he had ripped off his shirt and had it wrapped around his wrist like a bracelet. It didn't bother him much, he was too focused on the running. It was his release, his chill pill. He depended on running more than anyone or anything else.
But holy crap it was freaking hot outside! Declan was actually panting. As if he needed any more association with dogs. He was already wishing he could change right then and there so he could go a bit faster than his human legs were letting him currently. At least he had remembered water. He had a large water bottle gripped in his hand, and he slowed a bit so he didn't make it look like he had a hole in his bottom lip. After drinking half of the bottle, he looked around to see where he was in town.
Turns out he was running right through the park that was a few blocks from his house. There were a couple of people strolling through the park, which was kind of surprising since it was kind of early. Oh well, the more the merrier. Glancing down at his watch, Declan decided it was time for a break. He had been running at a rather fast pace for nearly thirty minutes.
He veered into the park, running past a few walking people and a few bikers, keeping an eye out for an open bench. This was rather strange - there was at least one person occupying every freaking bench in the park. Fine, he'd just make some new friends. He slowed down as he approached this one bench, a rather pretty girl sitting down on it. He slowed to a stop, taking a few seconds to get his breath before plopping himself down next to her. "Hey there. Nice day, eh?"

you're the one that i should never take, but i can't sleep until i devour you - - - - - Faylinn was sitting in the park by her condo once again, though she had no clue why. She was relaxing on a bench this time, closing her eyes lightly. She felt her long blonde hair blow against her face softly, tickling her cheeks lightly. Running a perfect hand through her platinum mane, she opened her electric blue eyes. She scanned the park, looking for something interesting. Faylinn noticed a shirtless guy jogging by. She arched an eyebrow. She had to admit that his abs were very nicely chiseled. She smirked to herself and shifted her gaze. Faylinn could only enjoy physical attractiveness for a short period of time. Faylinn was hard to entertain and even harder to please. Glancing at her nails, Faylinn tried to find something to fill her boredom.
The day was hot and humid, and Faylinn found it bothersome. She had intended to workout today, which is why she was wearing a loose fitting top and spandex shorts. Her long hair was pulled up in a pristine high ponytail, but she had found it too disgusting to actually run, so she walked to the park. But at the moment she was regretting it. Faylinn was just about to leave when someone sat down next to her.
Faylinn looked at him, slightly pissed. Why would he think it was okay to sit next to her, one. And two, to talk to her like they were friends. ”No. The weather is shit today. It's hot, humid and unpleasant.” Faylinn snarled at him. She scowled rudely at him, not wanting this conversation to continue much longer. As Faylinn's piercing blue eyes watched the boy, she analyzed him ruthlessly. Faylinn realized that it was the guy she had seen earlier. Up close he was even more attractive. Faylinn noted this mentally and thought nothing more of it. TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

Goodness she seemed a bit sour today. Declan's eyes widened at the girl's snippy tone. He hadn't done anything that could have upset her, did he? Not that he knew of. He took in her scowl and instead of letting it get to him, he flashed her one of his most dazzling smiles. He hated when people were down in the dumps, so he always tried to bring them back up. And besides, he just had one of those personalities that made people smile for no reason. He took pride in being the happy-go-lucky guy around town. Leaning back, he rested his arm on the back of the bench and nodded towards her.
"Well that's no way to look at it. Think of it this way: it's incredibly hot but it's okay because you got to see me without my shirt on. Which I've heard is a very pleasant view," He teased. He knew he had a good body, only because of the constant reactions he got from girls. And he had seen her eyes on him, if only for a brief second. He flipped his hair out of his eyes and smiled at her again. She was rather gorgeous. There was something intriguing about her, and he wanted to get to know her a bit more. She seemed like the type to be stand off-ish and he wanted to get through that. It was one of his constant goals in life.
Declan brought his water bottle back to his lips, taking a long sip of the cold liquid. For a second he thought about offering her a sip, but then he thought he might get slapped. She seemed to be the kind of girl to do that. He took another big gulp and set the bottle down, turning to look at the girl again, that smile on his lips again. I'm Declan by the way," he said and offered his hand for her to shake if she so chose.

you're the one that i should never take, but i can't sleep until i devour you - - - - - Faylinn scoffed loudly at the boy next to her. Who the hell was he, why was he talking to her, and why was he still here? She scowled at him, not truly wishing to talk to this person for much longer. She arched an eyebrow when he grinned at her, unsure why. She rolled her eyes and looked ahead. She wasn't all that interested in talking to him, even if she was bored. Last time she did that, it didn't go the way she'd prefer. Faylinn hated people, and guys. Most guys that randomly walked up to girls as good-looking as Faylinn normally were players. And Ms. Faylinn hated players.
Faylinn scoffed again at what he said. ”Don't be so arrogant. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not that shallow.” Faylinn told him coldly. Faylinn wasn't interested in his banter, seeing how she didn't find it amusing. She leaned back against the bench and crossed her arms in front of her chest. She sighed loudly, wondering if he was going to be persistent as well. What was with guys and flocking to her? She knew that she was beautiful, but didn't people understand that she liked to be left alone.
Faylinn scrutinized the guy sitting beside her as he drank his water. His long brown hair was nice, and his abs were nothing to be ashamed of. But Faylinn was out of his league in her opinion. But Faylinn also thought no guy deserved her because no guy would treat her right. Faylinn was convinced all men were assholes. Suddenly he introduced himself, without Faylinn even asking. ”Faylinn.” Faylinn said simply, refusing his hand. Faylinn hated germs. TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

This girl's attitude was almost bringing Declan down. Almost. "Don't be so arrogant. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not that shallow." Damn! Didn't she know how to take a joke? Instead of taking offense to that, Declan flashed a brilliant smile at her. He was quite smiley today, and he felt the need to share his smiley-ness with others. "Goodness honey, I was joking," he said lightly, hoping she didn't take 'honey' the wrong way. It was just a silly little thing he liked to call girls. When with guys, he called the guy 'dude' or 'man'. He got the feeling he was going to have to defend himself there. But honestly, it had just slipped out.
So her name was Faylinn. It seemed to fit her. And she ignored the hand he had stretched out to her. Well then. "Pleasure to meet you, Faylinn." He said cheerfully. He wasn't going to let her mood get to him. He had spent a very long time learning to stay in good spirits no matter the situation. Since she was staring straight ahead, Declan took the liberty of checking her out more in depth. Her blond hair looked really soft. An odd observation, but he couldn't help it. She had really beautiful blue eyes and she was just overall beautiful.
Glancing back at his water bottle, he decided to give it a go. "Hey, it's kind of hot out here. You can have some water if you want." And with that he set the water bottle on the bench between them and waited for her to say something.

you're the one that i should never take, but i can't sleep until i devour you - - - - - ”Don't call me honey.” Faylinn snapped the moment she heard it. She didn't even think about it, the reaction was natural. She hated it when people called her honey because it was what her parents would call her. Of course, Faylinn hated even then. But now it was painful as well. Faylinn sighed and tilted her head to the side. She knew that she probably looked like a stereotypical dumb blonde, but she didn't care. Sighing, Faylinn looked down at her feet. Recently, Faylinn had been doing a lot of self reflection. Faylinn was second guessing herself constantly recently. She rubbed her face and sat up straight.
Faylinn noticed suddenly at Declan was looking at her. Turning her head away from him, she began to stare at the sky. Faylinn did this often, especially when she began to doubt herself. She didn't know why, but it calmed her, reassured her that she wasn't as horrible as people told her. That the way she acted was normal for what she had gone through. Suddenly Faylinn laughed. Not a normal, sweet laugh that you'd expect from a girl that looked like Faylinn, but a high-pitched, shrill, icy laugh. She turned to look at Declan. ”It's a pleasure? You must be kidding.” Faylinn said as she ceased laughing as abruptly as she started. She wore a serious expression as she truly gave Declan a careful examination. He was tall and muscularly built. He had long brown hair and blue-green eyes to complement it. Nothing special, but he was good-looking. She hand a gentle looking hand through her hair as her soft pink lips curved into a smirk. ”I'm nice to look at aren't I?” Faylinn said in a cruel, teasing tone. She expected him to be got off guard by that.
Faylinn looked down at the water and grimaced. ”I'm germophobic.” She said shortly, rejecting the water. Faylinn knew that he had assumed she simply didn't wish to shake his hand instead of realizing that she was germophobic. It wasn't that it mattered to Faylinn, it was just ironic how people assumed Faylinn was an all around bitch. Well.. she was, but she would shake hands with anyone who offered it if she had some way to wash her hands near by. But at the current moment she didn't. And there was no way she would drink out of that water bottle. Faylinn practically shuddered thinking of the germs. TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.
