Let me live without this emptiness
The streets were bustling with people by the time Nathaniel exited an apartment. There were way too much people out. Too much for comfort. Too much for him. It was too crowded. People were also walking too fast. Nathaniel groaned and decided to move away from the large crowds. He didn't like feeling like he was in an enclosed space. He didn't like feeling that he was trapped. Claustrophobia. Something he developed in his teenage years in life. He just didn't like the feeling he had. He simply wanted to enjoy his day, without the loud and large crowds of people. Maybe today just wasn't one of those days where he just skulked around, speculating humans and tried to learn how to blend in. It was something he did often. He wanted to learn to blend in more, instead of sticking out like a sore thumb.
Today, he made himself look presentable. He wore a white wifebeater with a black button down over it. The black dress shirt was untucked and only had one button in the middle that was buttoned so the white wifebeater under was seen. The wifebeater clung to his body, tracing /every/ muscle in his abdomen. He wore a pair of light washed jeans and black sneakers. His hair was styled in the usual messy do, kind of ruffled. His face was cleanly shaved, showing no sign of stubble.
"He's such a pretty boy." "I know!" "You should ask for his number."
A couple of girls that passed by gave him longing stares, checking him out. Others just passed by giggling. Over several years, Nathaniel managed to get used the human infatuation have good looking men. He knew he was attractive. Two humans girls giggled at him. Pretty boy...He was always called a pretty boy. It was just a name that stuck with him. A name which he didn't like. Even after he died. Yes. He did take pride in his looks. He made sure he looked presentable every morning. But he ignored the compliments given by the girls.
He walked past the pet shop but stopped. He walked by this place so many time, so why did he stop now? He noticed the canines locked in the cages in the store. One particular dog caught his eye. A boxer. Yes. He was more of a..how did humans put it...dog's guy. Dogs was a man's best friend. Well when he was human. He felt a pang of something deep within his chest. Regret...? No. Sadness.
At a very young age, Nathaniel was always alone. He held the pain of being the reason of his mother's death. She passed away during childbirth. You'll never understand the hurt a child has felt, to hear at a young age, when being scolded, that they were the reason their mother was dead. They were the reason some one had gotten hurt. They were the reason, the mistake, the idol of hate. but then again, no one can ever feel those emotions. Never as strongly as a young boy by the name of Nathaniel Marcus Ahriman felt. He had lost the only female motherly figure in his life before he had even opened his eyes. He felt like something was missing inside of him. He had no one to be with. His father was always working and he was an only child. Up until hid father bought him a dog to spend some quality time with. A boxer to be exact and Nathaniel, being as immature of he used to be, named the dog Killer. He loved that puppy. He taught it everything. and the dog become his best friend. He spent so much quality time with that canine. Well up until his life was taken away from him by a vampire. His beloved pet was soon left alone, with no one to take care of it.
Now that dog that was encased in that cage looked so much like Killer. So much alike. Nathaniel just couldn't resist. Almost immediately, he entered the store, going right towards the boxer. He stood very close to the cage, speculating the dog. This lone dog held the same features as his beloved pet centuries ago. A light whistle escaped his lips, calling for the animal. The dog stared at him, confused for a moment. But soon, its tail began to trash around wildly and excitedly.
He soon heard the footsteps of another being walk past. Nathaniel glanced over his shoulder to see a very pretty girl. But there was something about her, she looked for familiar. He had seen her somewhere before but he just couldn't put his finger on it. Where had he seen her before..? He knew her from somewhere. But he didn't know where. Then he held his breath for a moment. That girl was Beth. The human that he was supposed to protect. The human that he promised his best friend. His best friend's sister. He was supposed to keep a close eye on the girl. Nathaniel felt his lips part. He didn't know what he was supposed to do or say. He felt like a sitting duck.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: NATE OUTFIT: click ONE LAST THING: Sorry it's so short. >.< Beth today was dressed in one of her usual outfits. Tight, black, skinny jeans were fitted on her legs. Yes, on a hot summer day Beth was wearing black skinny jeans. She always did this though so to people that knew her this was not surprising. No, she wasn’t one of those people that never wore anything else, but jeans. She wore shorts, skirts, and what not sometimes, but usually it was jeans. Some people would look at her like she was crazy, but then again maybe she was a little crazy. Just a little though. Anyway, she didn’t find anything wrong with wearing jeans during summer. Guys did it all the time so why couldn’t she? No, she didn’t over heat in them not did she sweat. It wasn’t like she wore a sweater and boots with it. No, she was smart and wore a light white tank top and leather sandals. You couldn’t forget the black guitar that hung from her neck. It was necklace that Hayden had given to her when he was still alive. Beth wasn’t crazy about music, but it made her feel closer to Hayden where ever he was in the deep blue sky. He was somewhere up there, but Beth just didn’t know where. All she knew was that Hayden was with Delilah. They both had died because of a werewolf attack. That attack had caused her to become a hunter. Killing supernaturals was her way of avenging the deaths her loved ones. The death of her siblings had changed her. She had hardened on the inside and outside and she was ruthless. She had nothing else to live for so she had no problem killing supernaturals. They never did anything for her. They only hurt her with their vicious actions. They had killed her family so this was her revenge. As she walked out of her apartment she wandered over to the streets on the new town. As she let her feet wander she found herself going toward the pet store. She looked at the store and shrugged. She might as well go into it. Walking into the store she looked around. Then she saw a very cute golden retriever puppy and she walked over to it smiling. She petted the dog lightly until she heard the sound of the door opening again. Turning around she saw that the person was a guy. Beth looked at him up and down and bit her lip. He was handsome, but he just looked like any other of those pretty boys that were super rich and got every girl he wanted. From his attire he looked like he was trying to impress someone with his tight shirt and jeans that showed off his body. Beth sighed and just turned back around, but she could definitely feel his eyes burning into her. She was very tempted to turn around, but forced herself not to. She wasn’t interested in talking to his kind. Beth had encountered enough of those people during her life in high school and she didn’t feel like going through that again.

Let me live without this emptiness
He turned his attention away from the boxer he was playing with before and turned it all towards the girl that was not too far away from him. He took a good look at her, examining her. He tried to match up her features to the ones he had seen from before. Yep. She was definitely the same girl Hayden had showed her. Damn. She was pretty. Gorgeous to be exact. She looked way better in person than she did in the picture that Hayden provided for him. She didn't look like she needed any guidance or protection. She looked happy when she toyed with the puppy. She was a hunter. She could take care of herself. She must have slaughtered several supernaturals. He shuddered at the thought of it. But she couldn't kill him. He was an angel, an immortal. It was definitely be funny to see her try to kill him. And fail. Then again, it might not end too well either. She might have felt like she failed. But hunters, definitely provided problems. They hated /all/ supernatural species. They held a grudge against them for several reasons. For Beth, as Nathaniel could assume' held a grudge towards werewolves for slaughtering her siblings. If only she knew they were alive. But good lord. She was such a pretty sight. Unnatural blue eyes. Plump lips. Great facial structure and a wonderful body.
C-cut it out! What the hell, Nate? He mentally bitchslapped himself in the face and stopped himself. Nathaniel scolded himself. He couldn't let himself grow attached to her or even think of her in -- that way. Yes. That way. Like, what did humans call it, love at first sight? Something along those silly lines. No. It couldn't be. It was his..manwhoreness talking. His male instincts. He was just attracted to her. Her good looks and her body. Nothing else. That was all. Act cold. Be emotionless. Be cool. Think of this as a cold hard assassin's mission , one with is planned and executed. No feelings. No emotions. Nothing. He constantly reminded himself of this. This was why he stripped himself of his emotions earlier on. Nate has been closed off from any type of affectionate, more than friends, feelings he had. He just shuts it out, He may be a nice guy, but he definitely sucks at relationships. He just doesn't know how to react around mushy gushy feelings anymore. Its new and foreign to him.
Humans. So weak, so feeble and so oblivious to the world of supernaturals. They didn't seem like a threat. But they were a threat to him. To all angels. They were the cause of fallen angels. He watched close friends fall because they fell in love with a human. He reminded himself that she was only there to be protected. That's why he was here in the first place already. No feelings was going to allowed here. He was terrified what was going to happen if he grown too attached to Beth. He was afraid of slipping off the edge and having his wings torn off of him. All he would be left with if two nasty scars on his back and shattered memories.
He raked his mind for some kind of start line to try to spark some kind of conversation between them. No matter how lame or foolish that one start line was. No matter how stupid it sounded. He didn't care. He needed to get to know her, to protect her, just as long as he didn't get attached to her. "She's cute." He said out loud to the female hunter. He wasn't thinking. Wait. What the hell? She's cute? What kind of starter line was that? A incredibly stupid one. What happened if she took it the wrong way? Like he was saying that she was cute. Like one of those teenage guys who were hanging out with their friends and they see an attractive girl. They would say 'she's cute' to their friend. Don't get him wrong. Beth was gorgeous. Very pretty. "Ah--I'm mean. The puppy." He said, correcting his statement before. Hopefully, she didn't take it the wrong way. A light pink flushed to his cheeks and he looked away from the girl. He laughed weakly to himself and gestured towards the golden retriever that the female was petting before.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: NATE OUTFIT: click ONE LAST THING: Little longer :3 >.< Beth had to use a lot of will power to not roll her eyes and go off on the guy that was still in the pet store. Out of the corner of her eye she could see him still staring at him. What did he think she was? A piece of meat? No. Not at all. But of course pretty boy over there probably thought he could have any guy that he laid his eyes on. Typical. Beth had gotten enough of those guys in high school. They were always staring at her and hitting on Delilah. Delilah was always a flirty girl though so she liked to talk to them. Beth always thought that it amused her to see their pathetic attempts of getting Delilah to bed with them. Delilah was always a favorite when it came to boys. Beth was the quiet one, but Delilah would always tell her that boys were always looking at Beth. Beth never believed Delilah though. Oh God, the thought of Delilah began to pain Beth. She wanted to think of something else. Anything else really. Anything to divert her mind from Delilah because whenever she thought of her fallen siblings she began to replay that one summer evening when her whole world was turned upside down. From that day on she felt like a new person. She had lost the shy, bookworm Beth and became the harden, no feeling Beth. She found herself a mentor and trained. She had trained harder than she had ever trained for anything. She had so much determination to become the best that she could be. It was sad to think of how bad she was before, but now looking at where she was in her training. Beth was strong, had good aim, and was completely ruthless and heartless. She had lost her heart along with her two best friends. This was payback, this was justice. Beth didn’t find anything wrong with putting supernaturals in their place. It was only fair. The supernaturals had taken so much from the humans. Why couldn’t the hunters do the same? Again, it was justice. It was very fair in Beth’s eyes. She couldn’t find a problem with what she did. Then she heard the sound of footsteps and her mind became alert once again. She stood still and like nothing had happened. From the corner of her eye she saw pretty boy walking up to her. She mentally rolled her eyes, but didn’t say a word. She was going to see what he’d do. Then he said, “She’s cute. In response to this she cocked an eyebrow and looked at him. He was do one of two things. He might just be as stupid as he looked and by accident spoke his thoughts. Beth wouldn’t doubt that answer a bit. The other thing he might have done was one of those compliments that guys gave to girls a lot. What she meant by that was that the guy was “accidentally” say something aloud that he had been thinking then act all embarrassed and try to cover it up. But the guy would make sure it was obvious that he was trying to cover it up so the girl would feel flattered and what not. Then the guy would make his move. Happened a lot and honestly she wouldn’t put the second one past pretty boy either. He seemed like the type to do a stupid move like that. He probably thought it was going to work on Beth too like it had on the other thousand girls he had done it to. Then when he said, “Ah—I mean. The puppy.” Beth’s suspicions were confirmed. Yes, he had used number two. Big surprise there. Beth looked at him with the same cocked eyebrow. When he blushed Beth felt that urge to roll her eyes come again. It was very tempting at the moment especially because of a little fact pretty boy had forgotten to look over. “The dog is a boy.” She said flatly just looking at him. How dumb did you have to be to look over the gender of the dog especially if you were going to use that for your pick up line? Wow, this boy really didn’t have much upstairs in the endless hole that Beth called his head.

Let me live without this emptiness
She probably thought he was another one of those pretty, handsome assholes, who wanted to sleep with every attractive girl they laid eye on. Or those super cocky males who stared at their reflections in the mirror. Or one of those males who were complete, what did humans call it, duchebags. Yes. He did look like one. And he did act like one sometimes, but it was rare. But really, she had the whole thing wrong. He was nothing like those guys. He was far from those guys. He was completely different; having his manners and a complete gentleman. Maybe, it must have been one of the reason why he was given a seconds chance in this world as an angel.
“The dog is a boy.”
Shit. Stupid move. He should have checked the puppy's gender first. He mentally scolded himself, telling himself what a stupid move that was. Nathaniel chuckled lightly to himself and ran his fingers through his hair. Surely. That was a stupid move to make. He wasn't thinking. He just said whatever came to his mind first. And apparently, it was a very stupid saying. She even rolled his eyes at him and spoke in a emotionless tone. Now that was different. Usually girls would giggle and swoon whenever he tried to strike a conversation with one of them. Beth. Was different. Intriguing in a way.
She was definitely someone he needed to protect. He needed to watch over her and make sure she was okay. She needed someone. Someone to help her. Someone to support her. She was like a broken toy beyond repair. She had a very strong exterior. unbreakable even, but she was weak. Beth knew she had to stay strong for herself. Any moment, she could break down and shatter completely, like a glass figurine. After the death of her siblings, Beth has become rather cold hearted and vicious . Why? She feels the need to protective herself and be guarded. She's just growing a steel coat thicker and thicker everyday . At this point she's nothing - but cold. In, every sense of the word . she's cold hearted and cold minded. Hell, she wouldn't be surprised if she cold to the touch. Her faith in everyone has dropped to literally nothing. But under all that, Nathaniel could assumed that everything was different. Honestly this angel thinks that, she's just hiding the hurt and pain from the world. She never lingered over the past or mourned over any of the loses in her life. So the pain is waiting on the brim , just waiting for a nudge or a bump to cause it all to spill over Now how did Nate know this? He had a close friend that was exactly the same way.
He approached the female hunter and tapped her lightly on the shoulder. He couldn't feel her soft skin or the impact of his touch, but me could remember how it felt like. It was a downside of being an angel. He couldn't feel the touch of another. All he had now was his memories, how a piece a fabric felt like or how it felt to hold one's hand. After his stripped himself of his feelings and emotions, he felt nothing now. He was just a puppet. Nathaniel's blue eyes glanced down at her. A weak smile appeared on his face. "Cheer up, mkay?" He asked, letting his boy-from-next-door side show, trying to let the girl know that he was just one of those 'strangers' who cared about others. He could tell that this girl was just trying to be heartless. That was not how she was. It was whom she had become. And now, after Hayden asked him, Nathaniel had to protect this girl from all the danger and hurt in the world. "Do..you want to go get something to eat?" He asked. It probably seemed like he wanted to get her straight into bed, but no, that was one of the last things he wanted. He wanted to make Beth feel safe and comfortable around him. Nathaniel forced a smile. "My treat." He added quickly after. Too fast? This was probably too soon, asking her out to get something to eat. He knew who she was but she didn't know anything about him, maybe except for the fact that he was jsut another pretty boy out there.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: NATE OUTFIT: click ONE LAST THING: yay for crazay :3 >.< As Beth felt the impact of someone tapping her shoulder. She rolled her eyes and groaned. She turned around quickly and her bright blue eyes pierced into his icy blue eyes as well. “ What.” She said coldly. “Cheer up, mkay?” He said smiling at her. She grinded her teeth and hit his hand off her. “First off, don’t touch me…ever! Second, I don’t even know you so don’t tell me what to do! Third, stay away from me, pretty boy.” She said fiercely. This boy was seriously getting on her nerves. Who did he think he was? He couldn’t tell her what to do. No one could. She was independent and did what she wanted so for him to think he could change that was just so stupid. Then again he seemed like a stupid boy. What did she really expect? Then he said to her, “Do…you want to go get something to eat?” She narrowed her eyes and said shortly, “No.” She was so not in the mood for this boy. Sighing she was about to leave when she heard him say, “My treat.” She turned around and said, “No! Now leave me alone or else I will hurt you!” With that she stormed out of the pet store. She was so down with guys that who thought they were all that and could get any girl they wanted. Well he’ll definitely have a rude waking now because Beth had rejected him. Such an ignorant fool. Who did he think she was? An easy, stupid girl that he could drag around like a trophy for all his idiot friends? He’d probably try and share her, which would never ever ever ever ever happen! Walking through the crowd of people she ran a hand through her brunette waves angrily. She decided she might as well go back to her house. As she walked swiftly she neared her house and once she finally reached it instead of opening the door she kicked it up. The door swung open and hit the wall next to it. She walked in and checked the wall and just as she though there was an indent in the wall. She didn’t care though. If you looked around you could see that the whole house was marked up. On every wall there were holes from her guns and knife marks. Beth liked knifes. Her whole house was gray with red. Most of the red was blood though. Some of that blood was hers though. There was also some black, but that was it. She didn’t have any color in her house except a few of her clothes. Walking to her bedroom she grabbed her IHome remote and put Last Resort by: Papa Roach. She dropped the remote carelessly and roughly opened her dresser drawer. It was full of different knives, guns, whips, and other things that could kill supernaturals. Grasping her switchblade, gun, and dagger she kicked her bedroom door open. As she walked out she realized she didn’t close her front door and kicked it harshly sending it flying at an extreme speed. It slammed and the sound echoed through the relatively empty house. Taking her switchblade she flipped it open and walked to her kitchen wall where many tally marks were written. Then Beth roughly carved another tally. Beth had been counting the days since her siblings were murders. After she was done she walked to her living room which was probably the worst. That was her practice room. It had many dents, scratches, holes, and what not. Making three X’s on her wall with her switchblade she went to the other side of the room and threw her switchblade with all her power. It went with great speed to the X and she smiled. Taking her gun she loaded it and pulled the trigger sending a gun spiraling and the other X. It hit right in the middle. Then taking her dagger she threw it, but it just missed it. Literally by a centimeter. She scowled and took her dagger out of the wall. Out of frustration she stabbed the wall repeatedly. How was she ever going to avenge her siblings if she couldn’t even aim correctly? She grinded her teeth and threw her dagger again not caring where it landed. Sighing greatly she took a lamp on a dresser and threw it at the wall. Then taking a vase she threw at the wall as well. Then she took the dresser and threw it at the wall as well. She was so angry with herself. Kneeling to the ground she took a large shard of glass and began to stab the wall again and again and again and again. She started shaking and ran a hand through her hair. Then she noticed hot sticky liquid on her hair and hands. The glass had cut her hand all up. She sighed and put her hands on the wall and hung her head. Tears began to come from her eyes and she said, “I’m sorry Delilah. I’m sorry Hayden. I failed you. I couldn’t save you then and I can’t even avenge your deaths. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I’m a failure. I’m sorry. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she slid down the wall. Then suddenly she heard something break. Her head snapped up and she dried her tears. Standing straight off she grabbed her switchblade with her bloody hand. “Who is there. Who is there! Come out! Now!” She screamed. She walked through her house with her switchblade making scratches in every wall she passed. “Come out now or I will kill you!” She screamed still looking around for the intruder.

Let me live without this emptiness
“No! Now leave me alone or else I will hurt you!”
He sighed. Well that didn't work. That plan failed miserably. Nate kept very calm around her, showing no pain that was afflicted towards him when she rejected his offer. He wasn't even scared, showing no sign of fear towards her threat. Not like she could even hurt him anyways. He was immortal, blessed with the curse of living forever. And he couldn't feel -- physically, so he wouldn't be able to feel pain. He blinked a couple of times, not confused, but instead, amused by the way she had reacted. Most girls would accept his invitation in a heartbeat, knowing that they were going to spend some time with some pretty boy. His blue eyes trailed after, the female as she stormed out the door.
He stayed there for several moments, waiting for time to pass by. He didn't want to leave and have Beth automatically assumed that he was stalking her. Mentally, Nate timed himself in the head, counting to one hundred like a small child playing hide and seek. Ninety eight..ninety nine...one hundred. Then he shot up and exited the pet store soon after. When he was outside, he scanned the area for the brunette, looking all around. She couldn't have got far. She was human anyways. He saw the hunter storm down the street, speeding through the crowds of people. He made a mental note to keep an eye on her. His eyes were locked on her, not letting her escape from his sight. He strode after her, skillfully weaving through the civilians passing by, careful not to run into them. Yes. He did feel like a stalker, but it was her duty to protect her and watch her.
Then a group of girls stopped him in her tracks, standing right in front of him giggling. They were trying to flirt with him and get this number. What. The. Hell. He smiled charmingly towards them but still kept on the lookout for Beth. She was turning the corner. No. No. No! He couldn't let her.. She was going much to fast right now. Too fast for him to catch up and cut through his crowds of people. And these girl in front of him were annoying him and driving him towards the edge. He was losing Beth! Nate shot a grin towards the girls and apologizing, pushing them out of the way. He had to find her. He turned the corner, his eyes darting around looking for the hunter, but she was no where to be found. His heart slammed against his chest as he frantically walked around, searching for the brunette. Soon he heard a door slam...open? His head shot up to see Beth kicking open the front door of her house with such strength. She entered the house, but didn't close the door behind her. Maybe she forgot. Most likely. Success! He jogged towards the building and before he entered, he looked around him, looking if there was anyone around. No one. Good. Slowly, his body began to fade away, becoming translucent, where his colors were fading. Moments later, he was completely gone.
He didn't want to enter the house, knowing that she was going to 'hurt' him. He didn't even want her to be aware of his presences inside the house. He wanted to stay invisible to her, just watch over her like how a real guardian angel should. The house was quite plain and bland, having very little color in the house. Nate shuddered at the sight of the blood stains and holes on the walls. The tune and beats of the rock music pulsed through his ears. Beth stormed right past him after she realized that she had forgot to close the door and slammed it shut. Then again, she walked past him, not realizing that she was right there. Then again. He was invisible. He glanced around house, examining it. It wasn't the ideal house, but it was some place to live. His head jerked up to the sound of the gunshot. He glanced towards the direction of the sound, only to see a bullet pierced right in the middle of the x mark. Beth flung her blade towards the target, but missed. It was incredibly close and Nate was impressed by her skills, but no, that was not satisfying enough for this hunter. She snatched the blade right out of the wall and becoming stabbing the wall over and over and over again.
Soon, she began to cry. A pang of hurt shot through out his whole body. He watched the girl break down right in front of him, falling on her knees and apologizing hysterically to her 'dead' siblings. Her back facing towards him but he saw her figure shaking. She was crying. So he had assumed right. She was weak yet she managed to keep a very strong demeanor.. She needed someone to comfort her because she believed she had no one. She was just another broken doll out there. She was so fragile. All the tears and the hurt were waiting on the brim and waiting to explode. Nate wanted to comfort her, but he couldn't. She wasn't fond of him and rejected his invitation before. Beth didn't even know what he was here right now. He was invisible to the human eye and to everyone else. He shifted, slowly moving towards her, but suddenly. There was a crashing sound. The sound of something breaking -- physically. He didn't know! He didn't even feel the object come in contact with his skin. Damn. The sound rung throughout his ears and he felt his heart drop like a falling plane. "Come out " Her voice was loud and clear, showing no sign of the other emotions she had displayed before. She was now well aware of his presence here. Well not him. But she knew someone was here now.
Nate might as well show himself to her and he had to make up an excuse. Fast. He moved behind a wall and materialized, so now he could be seen by the human eye. He shifted so now he could be seen by Beth. "It's me." He stated simply. His eyes darted around the room, searching for a weapon to defend himself with if the hunter decided to attack him. His eyes fell upon a dagger on a nearby table. Just a small dagger but it would do some good in defending himself from her. "I heard some ruckus nearby and your door was opened, so I decided to come check it out." He said, scratching the back of his neck. The whole excuse sounded like a story, like some superhero coming to save a girl from the robbery that was happening in her house.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: NATE OUTFIT: click ONE LAST THING: sawwy it's short At the sound of someone’s voice saying, “It’s me.” Beth turned around as quick as lightning here blue eyes blazing in fury her knuckles white from holding her switch blade was tight. Her lips were a tight line and when she saw who it was she stabbed the wall and dragged the switch blade’s blade down. It was the pretty boy. Of course. Beth’s nostrils flared as she breathed in and out. With one quick flick she took the blade out of her wall and walked like a zombie over to pretty boy. Her teeth grinded and she flipped her switch blade in and out as she walked. “I heard some ruckus nearby and your door was opened, so I decided to come check it out.” Beth laughed and stabbed the wall next to him with a crazy smile. “You must really think I’m stupid don’t you.” She said with that crazy smile. Slowly she took her knife out of the drywall and blew off the dust with her plump lips. She glanced up at him and said slowly, “Let me guess. You saw me, thought I was pretty and you’re used to getting the girls you want. You try your usual tactics, but they don’t work. You think I’m just playing hard to get though and decide to follow me. You sneak in my house and think you can trick me with this fake superhero story so that I’m so impressed at that I’ll sleep with you as thanks. Then mission accomplish for you, but you really don’t know me. I’m that kind of girl and I don’t like people coming into my house.” She blinked her deep blue eyes and then they hardened into pure fury again. She grabbed the front of his shirt and threw him to the wall. Beth was stronger than she looked, that was for sure. Putting her hand on his chest she pushed him up against it and glared at him. “Get out of my house now or…” She stared with a harden, threatening voice. Then she ran the flat of the blade over his cheek with a crazy smile creeping up unto her lips once again. “I’ll cut up your pretty boy face and well you might not make it out of this house today, pretty boy.” She finished laughing. Then she stopped and she became threatening again, “ But seriously, OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW!” She screamed letting go of him. She stormed over the door and threw it open having it slam again the wall as it usually did. She crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes waiting for him to leave. What was he waiting for? An invitation? God, Beth swore if she saw that face one more time she’d have to kill him. His face just annoyed her. Ick. The thought of being with him for more than ten minutes just sent shivers down her spine. How disgusting! Beth just couldn’t believe he had actually broken into her house. Actually Beth could sue him for all he owned, but she wouldn’t do that for two reasons. One was that she’d have to see his face again and two they might search her house and if they found her weapons she’d be screwed. Having a drawer full of weapons was a little shady to say the least. Beth couldn’t let that happen. Who knew what could happen after that. Sighing she said crossly, “What are you waiting for? LEAVE!” She narrowed her bright blue eyes that only portrayed angry and fury. God, she hated him so much right now. Wait what was she saying? Right now? She always hated him and his kind. They were all the same and Beth hated him with all her heart and soul. Lightly she growled at him and grinded her teeth waiting for him to finally leave so she could have some peace…well not peace, but something like it. Beth was never peaceful. She was also restless and crazy and angry. It was just her. There was no changing that. Not until every supernatural’s blood was spilled and only human lived on earth, how it was supposed to be. Supernaturals didn’t belong here. Humans did. Not them. They were monsters. Killers. Chaos. They were unneeded and that was all Beth had to say on the subject.
tell me that we both matter dont we

Let me live without this emptiness
Soon Beth went on with his ridiculous story about how he wanted to sleep with her. How he was using his 'superhero' story as an excuse to get in bed with her. Not even! Not even close! He didn't want to get in bed with her. A human. No. Maybe one of another supernatural species, but never a human. If the higher authority found out he slept with a human, his wings would be immediately stripped from him, -- painfully. That was not what he wanted. Sure. Beth was attractive and he was attracted to her, but never would he try to have a relationship with her, whether she was just a one night stand or a full blown relationship. Never. He relished and was thankful for his winds and a second shot at life. He would never want to lose it again.
He couldn't feel her touch. That sucked. Nate couldn't feel the impact of the wall. He couldn't feel at all. He couldn't even feel the cold metal that was pressed against his cheek. It saddened him. All the factors would have added up to a another emotion he haven't felt in a long time -- fear. The last time he felt fear it just moments before he died. He knew he was going to die. Yes. He did. He felt fear for a split second, a flash, then his life was ripped right out of him. Then she began to threaten him, her voice ringing through his ears. Her voice was cold and icy, laced with malice and revenge. She was looney, one would say. But to Nate, he saw the real her, she was just another girl that was hurt and was hiding from all the hurt in the world.
"....you might not make it out of this house today.."
He wanted to laugh, chuckle even. It was funny how this attractive huntress was so crazed with revenge that she believed to could kill anyone other there. Even him. If only Beth knew his true intentions and nature, then maybe, or maybe not, she would be more understanding. She couldn't kill him. Maybe if he wasn't an angel; maybe a shapeshifter or a vampire in a sense, then yes, she could easily kill him. He didn't doubt her skills. She was, as a matter of fact, very talented and driven. She was a determined little thing. It was almost intriguing. But she couldn't kill him. He was a guardian angel. Her guardian angel. Yes. She could cut up his body and leave him a bloody heap splattered over the floor in her house, but give or take a couple of minutes, he would recover. Heal by himself, and he would be a whole person once more, maybe bearing a few new scars here and there, but it was no biggy. Then again...maybe Beth wouldn't react very nicely if she seen him alive and walking after she distinctly remembered killing him. Yeah..that would not be a good thing. She would freak out and accuse him of being something unpleasant, threatening and calling him mean names. Nate could imagine how the whole thing would play out and it would not be nice.
When she demanded he leave, he was going to do what she said. He didn't want to piss her off even more, or better, he didn't want to reveal what he truly was. But honestly, this wasn't going to be the last time she was going to see him. He was her guardian angel and it was his duty to watch over her, make sure she didn't fall into the wrong hands, and to make sure that she knew someone cared about her. He strode towards the doorway and before he left, he glanced over his shoulder at the girl. "Thank you." He said, not only for sparing his life, but that might have been what she though it was, but it was letting herself show her weaker side to him. He wanted to show that someone cared for and he did. Truly, he did. He cared for her not because it was duty to do so, but he cared for her because of ow hurt she was. She needed to know that he was there was her. "By the way. I'm Nate." Nate said, introducing himself. Surely, she wasn't going to forget him. To her he was just another creepy pretty boy who wanted to get in bed with her. This wasn't going to be the last time she was going to see him. Oh. He was going to be around a lot more. He had fun poking around into her business and ticking her off. Maybe with time, he would be able to chip away the shield slowly. It would take time but he had time. He was immortal anyways. He could waste all the time he wanted in the world. And right now, he was focusing it all on Beth.
