there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url(http://store02.prostores.com/sewewequilt/catalog/SEQ0002048.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
Calypso yawned as she attempted to smack the alarm off. It didn't work. Remembering that she needs to make herself solid she hit it off. She found the noise that came from her alarm clock annoying, but she disliked sleeping in. She was one to get up early and get as much out of her day as possible. Swinging her legs over the side of her bed and glancing around, Calypso forced herself to get out of bed. She stretched lightly as she slowly moved around her spacious room. Calypso found herself in front of her closet. She rummaged through her stacks of clothes, trying to find something pretty, yet comfortable. She pulled out a one shoulder, floral print dress. Grabbing her favorite, nude wedges and a matching bag, Calypso looked at herself in the mirror. Satisfied, Calypso grabbed a bit to eat and left her house. Calypso owned her own house, even though there was no need for her do such. She could live anywhere she wanted for free. But, if she did that, it would remind her everyday that she was nothing more than a ghost. That was something that Calypso never wanted, seeing how she was still practically in denial over her death. 285 years of being dead, and Calypso never recovered. The proof hung around her neck. A black rosary dangled down around her neck. A gift from her murderer, given to her the day before she died. Calypso had it around her neck so much that she forgot it was there sometimes. When she began to feel really nervous she would tug on it or simply play with it. Calypso wouldn't even admit to herself, but she was still in love her her ex-boyfriend. She was still in love with the man that killed her. Wandering down the cobblestone street of the city centre, Calypso eyed up each of the stores. She had no real set place that she wanted to go, so she was simply trying to find a place where she needn't talk to people that much, if at all. Calypso would rather avoid conversation with others. People made her nervous, as did many things. Calypso was awkward, shy, and all around fairly skittish. Her eyes lingered on one particular store as she walked by. She stopped and contemplated going inside, seeing how she most likely would end up talking to someone. It was a pet store though, and Calypso could simply play around with the animals and avoid the people. Along with this, Calypso was rather tempted to go inside. She might even want to purchase a nice snake. Calypso loved snakes ever since her parents bought her one as a child. Calypso wouldn't buy a large snake, like a python, though she loved them, it would only be a small one. Calypso opened the door. She was greeted with an odd smell that she didn't find enjoyable. But it was bearable. Looking around, she was quite surprised by the largeness of the store. From the outside it looked much smaller. Calypso noticed other people, mainly workers, looking at her, wondering silently if she need help. Calypso forced herself to remain solid and to try not to draw attention to herself. She headed towards the snakes hurriedly. Her eyes lit up upon seeing them. She wanted so badly to play with them. Snakes always had cold scales and the loved the feeling of them against her skin. She pressed her hand lightly against the glass, intrigued by their every movement. Calypso loved the way snakes moved. She thought it was incredible that they managed to move so easily without any sort of limbs. One turned to looked at her and it flicked it's tongue in her direction. Calypso smiled at it, longing to take it out. But if she were to hold one, she'd have to ask permission. She'd rather avoid conversation and simply stare. She would chose the one she wanted that way, if she wanted one at all. Calypso watched each snake closely. None of them looked exactly the same. Her favorite one was a nice orange color with dark, red-orange stripes. It's brown eyes watched Calypso closely. It occasionally flicked its tongue, never taking its eye off her. Calypso smiled at it happily. ”Are you scared of me? You don't have to be, I'll be very kind to you. You seem like a nice snake.” Calypso whispered to it. She glanced around to see if anyone had heard her. She didn't see anyone, but she didn't look that much. She wanted to concentrate back on the snake. Calypso knew that if she wanted she could slip her hand through and make just enough of her hand solid to pet it. Calypso knew she shouldn't though. The likely hood of someone noticing was too high. She couldn't risk it and then have to expose the magical world to whoever saw her. She'd have to talk so much, and possibly to a lot of people! She couldn't risk that. Soon, Calypso knew she would simply purchase the snake. She felt as if she had connected with it already. It was a matter of preparing herself to buy it.

His K-9 FBI dog rolled over on his spot on the bed, big brown eyes looking at the blonde. He gave him a look, "You're horribly stubborn, you know that right? You keep taking my spot."' he spoke, with a bit of a California accent thrown in there. The dog whined lightly, before bouncing off the bed as he too got up and shuffled to the bathroom to grab a quick shower. Getting out, he wrapped a towel around himself and then promptly fed his dog. On the dog bowl, as a gift from Grayson, his younger brother, the dog's name was engraved on the bowl. He was a German Shepherd named Sunny. Not sure why, but Harley had gotten him as a rescue puppy, having displayed all the qualities he'd been told the puppy should portray. Sunny now was munching on something as he then grabbed something for himself to eat. Eyes scanned the apartment lazily, before he then opened his door. He was on the second floor of the two-story building, but it was stretched out, and therefore, all he really had to do was open the back door. The dog sneaked out while he headed to grab some clothes, and came back to Sunny scratching slightly at the bottom of the door. Letting the dog in, he then came back and locked the door before then finishing getting ready, and patting the dog. He liked his apartments, they were nice and big, and with a good reputations, plus just a good location, so he wasn't too worried about it, but he'd been looking into a condo perhaps, as long as they allowed dogs, after all he needed Sunny sometimes. Wrinkling his nose slightly, he then mused, "I'll be back later boy."The dog curled up on his bed with a dog bone, before the blonde headed out to his car, it was the Audi r8 v10, and it was pretty much his baby. Sure, he had another two years to finish paying it off, but hey, that was okay with him. It was worth it, it got so very nice gas mileage, plus he just loved it. Getting into a parking lot near the strip malls, he pulled into an end spot, therefore he only had to worry about one side possibly getting hit. Though most of the time people were too focused on looking at it rather than hitting it. At least the car next to him was nice, so he wasn't horribly worried. Getting out and locking it, the male sighed softly. Well, he figured he could go get Sunny some treats. He knew people had suggest he maybe get another, maybe smaller dog for Sunny to play with while he first, wasn't working, and secondly, for when Harley worked. Wouldn't be a horrible idea, though he knew this pet store had a sterling reputation with breeders around here, he still wasn't sure about buying a dog from here. Nevertheless, wouldn't hurt to look, and get Sunny some treats as well. Strolling towards the store, eyes scanned slowly and deliberately, his training coming in handy. It probably helped him get a bit higher into the ranks of the FBI when he had been not only in the Navy, but also having graduated college therefore - skipping the intern rank and all that. He was an actual agent. Grinning coyly, the male headed into the store, bumping into someone who had decided to randomly stop and look at some fish. Grunting a quick apology, he headed to the dog treat section, and scanned around. They didn't have Sunny's favorite treat in stock right now. Anyway, maybe he could go and check out the dogs they had here. Blue eyes shifted then, as he had to walk past the snakes to get to them. Snakes. He wasn't entirely sure how he felt about those things. The poisonous ones, hell no, though the ones that couldn't kill him, he'd be ok with he figured. Grimacing slightly, he then paused when he thought he heard someone...talking to a snake? Grinning coyly, he paused by the blonde's side and mused, "From what I know, I think snakes try to talk back, but I think they're limited in what they say." he gave her a sheepish grin, "So you a fan of all reptiles and amphibians, or really only snakes?" |

Calypso was whispering softly to the bright orange snake when she froze. She heard something. More specifically, she heard a voice. It was deep, which let Calypso know that it was a man without even looking. She was still hunched over, leaning against the glass. Motionless with fear, Calypso no longer could keep her solid state. As she disappeared slightly, she feel through the cages and onto the floor. It was noiseless, the the man who spoke to her mostly lightly noticed. Trying to avoid his gaze, Calypso was desperately struggling to find a way to explain all of this. Something short and simple, so she could leave quickly. She was already practically invisible with no proper way to explain herself. She didn't want to have to explain everything to him, but it seemed that it may be the only way. Calypso took a deep breath.
She stood up slowly and cautiously, obviously awkward. Staring down at her feet, she opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out. Closely it abruptly, Calypso shook her head. She had to clear her thoughts, think straight, and don't get too nervous. Calypso knew that thinking this and and actually doing it were two completely different things, but at the moment, she was a moment away from disappearing. ”I-I-I..” was all Calypso managed to stutter out. She swallowed hard and looked up. To be honest, it was the first time Calypso had ever seen his face, and she hadn't known he would be so tall. Taking a step or two back, Calypso looked away again.
”T-their movements speak e-enough..” Calypso struggled to say. She bit her bottom lip and closed her eyes. She was praying that when she opened them again, he'd be gone. Maybe he found her boring. Calypso was secretly hoping this was true. He made her so nervous, as did everyone. She peeked open her eyes again and he was still there. Would he not leave till she answered his other question? ”It's really just snakes,” Calypso rushed, her words coming out very quickly. Her words were slurred and hard to understand, she knew that. She hoped he would understand so that she wouldn't have to repeat herself. Calypso wasn't sure she could.
