The weather outside today is mildly warm with a slight wind coming in from the east, the sun is bright and today is definitely a good day to get out and have fun after all this rain we've had. On to other news..
Renee pressed the off button on her alarm clock, which she had set to the local radio for the weather forecast. This past week had been nothing but rain, and she was kind of sick of the gray cold air around her, so today, she was extremely excited for the sun, and for a good jog in the park. School had been kicking her butt these past few days with the weather bringing her mood down to bored and fidgety. Renee was still not used to jogging at least once a day, whether it be indoors or out, and with all the homework she had been getting these past few weeks, it had been hectic and she hadn't had any time to herself. Hurrying to get out of bed, Renee plastered a big smile on her face and thus started to get ready, pulling her blanket over the cool, comfy pillows that she slept peacefully on. They were definitely the most comfortable things she had ever laid her head on. Turning around and walking into her closet, she grabbed a pair of grey and black jogging pants, ankle socks, a loose, mid drift t-shirt, and chose a bright blue tank-top to go underneath, deciding that the outfit needed at least a bit of color.
She stepped into the bathroom that winged off the left side of her room, and took a quick shower, not wanting to miss any minute of the gorgeous sun that was outside. At first she just planned on not wearing any make-up, but decided the bare necessities were needed. Mascara and chap stick were applied, as well as an SPF enhanced tinted moisturizer. she grabbed an elastic for her hair, and pulled it up into a messy little ponytail and scurried out of her bathroom, grabbing her ipod touch and shoving it in the pocket in her pants before heading to her front porch to pull on her sneakers. Once that was finished, she made sure she had her cell phone in her pocket and satisfied, she darted out the door without a word to her parent where she was going. Her Mom was probably at work anyway, and her dad was most likely doing some work on his old car in the garage. Renee plugged her earphones in her ears and started running towards Wailman's Park, which wasn't very far from where she lived.
Once there she found herself paying more attention to the heat the sun was giving off rather then where she was going, and this had proved to be dangerous to her health many times before. Renee was.. kind of a klutz. But she did have her graceful moments, they were just rare and never happened in the same month. So she wasn't particularly surprised when she tripped over nothing and toppled onto another person, of the male variety, who was definitely gorgeous. Calm yourself, Renee.

ITS SOMETHING NEW YOU SHOULD TRY FEELING waking up on the other side He had no idea why he was so attracted to the park. It seemed like he was always found there. Trace had been sitting cross legged on a bench for about an hour now, just reading. He usually never read books, but his day was pretty uneventful so he figured he might as well do something productive. Trace was reading some weird romance novel he borrowed from his mom. It was incredibly corny. It was like a bad porn, but in your head. Trace shut the book an hour or so into it, getting tired of it. Trace knew vampires and the vampires in that book were so predictable and unrealistic. Trace pushed the small book into his his back pocket and stood up and stretched. It was pretty sunny out and was still pretty bummed he had no tan. His skin was forever pale. The only thing he ever got was sun burn. Which sucked worse than anything. Trace ran his hands through his hair, analyzing the park around him. There were varieties of people at the park. It was usually pretty empty when he came.
Trace liked to have some solitude sometimes, but it was also nice to just hear the bark of a dog or the whining of a small child to their parent. Or a group of girls giggling over some gossip they heard or simply just hearing the grind of the chains on a bike. It all calmed it. Trace was usually calm, but the normalness of this town was odd. There were so many odd people, but the town was so peaceful and the humans really had no clue their were supernaturals walking all around him. It was odd. He was grateful he knew of it all. It gave him a better understanding of the world itself. Trace had realized he was just standing there staring into space so he decided just to wander the park for a little while. Trace retied his shoes quickly before sauntering off into the heat. He had been sitting on a bench in the shade, which was wonderful. But it was still pretty hot. Trace tried to find a vending machine nearby. Once he did, he got gotten himself a small little Gatorade and some gummyworms. Which he loved.
He put the gummyworms in his pocket for later, but opened his small bottle. Trace took a long sip from it as he walked along the trail humming to himself quietly. He pulled the book out from his back pocket and analyzed the front cover. It was a female vampire holding her mouth over a human's neck apparently biting him. Trace had heard there was something like that in town where you could be a donor to some vampires. That actually sounded like quite an experience so he was thinking of heading over there sooner or later. Trace flipped the book over to read the back. He had only gotten to about chapter three or four. Trace was a pretty slow reader, so that didn't really surprise him he wasn't that far in. The introduction to the book was horrid and so was the follow up. The was the last time he was reading a romance novel.
Trace looked up briefly to watch where he was going, and before he could step away a small girl collided into him. Trace barely budged, but the girl bounced back. She seemed to be barely seventeen or so. Trace shoved the book his was looking at back into his pocket, still holding his Gatorade bottle. He grabbed one of the the girls shoulders lightly to steady her. Trace gave a small smile, trying to catch her eyes."You alright? I'm kind of like a brick wall, I could cause quite the concussion." Trace let go of her shoulder and took a sip of his drink. He had realized she had the earbuds to her iPod in so he wasn't even sure if she heard him. He studied her quietly. Yeah, she was pretty young. She was freaking adorable. He knew there had to be so many guys who loved her.
Yet there were those girls who could be the most beautiful thing, but be so deadly. He thought back to his exgirlfriend bitterly. Trace snapped out of it and took another sip of his Gatorade He wasn't even sure why he was still standing there. Trace could have easily walked away after he said something. Well, he was kind of lonely and needed someone to talk to. And bam, in comes someone. Actually, in comes someone who bumps into him. Trace would try to squeeze in a few moments conversation if he could. He really didn't want to be alone for the rest of his little trip to the park. Sure he had friends, but he was pretty sure they wouldn't want to be bothered with him. He was told he could be quite the annoying type. And he wasn't going to deny that either.

She vaguely, and then took well notice of his hand steadying her on her arm. She smiled up at him, her with a measly five foot something staring up at the tall, or tall to her, boy man. She pulled the ear buds out of her ears and caught the end of his sentence. It was a good thing she had learned how to read lips a long time ago, or perhaps it was just something that she had been born to do. Read lips. The thought made her giggle on the inside and she nodded. "Mhm! I'm fine. A bit.. sweaty, but fine otherwise." Renee had noticed him putting a book into his back pocket and kind of looked at him funny, as if he were reading some sort of erotica out in the open, around children. "Nice day today.. yeah?" She commented, not really ready to stop talking with him. Renee noticed a drink he had continuously kept sipping out of and hoped she still had that change in her pocket. She discreetly took a look behind him and noticed the vending machine, making note to stop there later when she was truly thirsty.
Which it seemed was coming faster now that she had been stopped by a stranger.. a hot stranger, at that. Her social awkwardness was coming to the top of her throat in a sort of word vomit. "I'm Renee, and I'm socially awkward just so you're warned. It's kind of a disease but I'm totally not contagious, some people usually walk away after I mention that and then I think that it might be contagious, and then I just think that they got awkward with my word vomit and just left to not feel as awkward and ohmygod Renee shut up." She flushed a little and then looked down at her shoes for a moment, and set her eyes back on his. "So sorry. It just.. kind of comes randomly." She sighed loudly and laughed at herself. Usually social awkwardness saved her, but at this moment in time she was kind of wishing that he was the type to think it was just adorably cute and keep talking to her, instead of feeling slight pity for the poor teenage girl. Renee rocked on her heels and she herself started to feel slightly awkward with the intense stare he had. She kind of wanted to continue her run, but was feeling the pull of curiosity and so she stayed, steadying herself from her rocking once more.

ITS SOMETHING NEW YOU SHOULD TRY FEELING waking up on the other side Luckily, he didn't need to repeat himself because she seemed to have caught what he said as she pulled out her earbuds. Her whole lit up seconds later and he just wanted to cuddle her. She was completely angelic like. Trace couldn't help but return the smile. She seemed like a total sweetheart. She was so tiny, probably five foot something. He was a little over six foot, so she had to look up at him while he had to look down. Trace smile widened when she finally responded to his question. He nodded right after she did. It was pretty hot outside, plus he was jogging so that had to be hell. And girls carried a lot more weight than guys. Trace tried to imagine boobs on himself for a second and almost burst out laughing at how comical that picture was.
Trace was actually so polite towards women because he knew they had it harder than guys. With child birth and all that jazz. His parents just told him to naturally respect any woman, even if she is a bitch. It was just how you had to roll. Nowadays a guy would openly hit a girl if she disrespected him. Which Trace found disgusting. He would hurt any man that put his hands on a woman. Trace was so protective over others it was kind of scary. He looked out more for other people than himself. One thing people could really look for in Trace was his loyalness. Not many people would mess with a six foot two guy who is very protective of the ones he cared about. He didn't care about the age, if you were disrespectful to them you were done for. There were these seniors messing with his brother once and he had to beat all their asses. Trace keeps his aggressive side very hidden away from others. He doesn't like to let people see him mad. He can't control his temper once he is. Trace snapped out of his little thoughts once again, realizing he kept letting his mind wander for a little bit too long. He let out a little cough and nodded."Nice, at least you came out with no injuries. That was quite the stumble you know." He teased flashing her another one of his charming smiles. Trace rubbed cupped his hand over his left arm, rubbing the skin there lightly. He usually did that just casually, more subconsciously than anything. Trace looked down at his arm, gazing at his tattoos and briefly looked up when she spoke again. He again nodded and mumbled a small 'yeah, it is.
Trace watched as her eyes followed his hand that he held the book in and his drink. He shrugged his wide shoulders and gave out a little laugh,"My mom told me it was a good book, but it was her kind of sick joke to give me a book that was filled with nothing but sex." Trace rolled his eyes, thinking of his mother's smirking face which almost exactly matched his own. His mother always had quite the sense of humor. She would go out of her way just to mess with or prank Trace. The good thing was she always had Trace on his toes and on the look out. Thinking of that, he probably had to call his mother back. Trace snapped out of his thoughts of his crazy mother and caught his gaze back with the girl. Trace noted back to when the girl kept looking at his drink. He looked back at the vending machine and back at her and pointed with his thumb,"Hey, you want me to buy you a water or Powerade or something?" He asked politely. Trace was barely twenty seconds into the conversation and he was already offering shit to her. He was hoping he was creeping her out. Most people said his personality was far too pushy and actually pretty barbaric. Or in other words aggressive. He was simply just being friendly. It wasn't like he was trying to roofie her.
Trace took another sip from his bottle and his eyes widened once the girl became talking again. Out of nowhere she burst into a long speech. At first he was slightly taken aback, but his expression turned into amusement. He had a small smile on his face. He had learned her name is Renee."It's okay, no need to freak out." Trace paused to give her a reassuring smile."Believe me I know how random those outbursts are." Trace had been homeschooled most of his life so he had such a hard time making friends when he was smaller. Luckily he broke out of that little chain of awkwardness. As soon as he hit high school he was completely fine. Now he didn't have a care in the world with talking to people. They could think whatever they wanted to think."I'm Trace, by the way. Nice to meet you." Renee's personality was beyond adorable. They were a few minutes into the conversation and she already had him laughing and smiling. She was a little firecracker.

Renee felt like some blubbering idiot.
Who really talked about social awkwardness and word vomit as a topic of conversation? Only Renee would do something like that, with how oddly awkward she was. She smiled at his teasing and - unlike herself - replied swiftly. "That's not even the worst stumble I've had. Quite the opposite, really. The worst was when I broke my wrist, I suppose. Not a fun time." Renee, who had still been looking at that book in his hand, blushed with such a color that she looked like a strawberry. "Well.. that would be an awkward topic of conversation between mother and son. I wonder how you stomach it." She said, a little teasing hint in her own voice. It seemed the both of them had started daydreaming about something else at that moment in time, she wasn't really sure what he was thinking about, but Renee just kept feeling more and more thirsty and was wondering just how much change she had in her pocket. All she could visualize, however, was water running down her throat, and her eyes were glued to his drink, making the situation just a bit more awkward as he offered to buy her a drink, knocking her out of her spacing. "Hm? Oh, I think I have change in my pocket.." She said, reaching her hand in and feeling a bill, as well as two large coins. She pulled them all out together and was surprised to find a fifty dollar bill and two toonies in her pocket. "Well.. I wouldn't mind finding that in every pair of pants I own." She said, quite shocked that she didn't remember having that much money. Renee skirted around Trace and skipped towards the vending machine to get her own drink. Punching in the number for red Gatorade, she got a happy sort of face that probably made her look like a chibi from an anime show.
She blinked a few times as the Gatorade flopped out of the vending machine and landed on the ground. "Wow. Powerful machine." She reached down to pick it up and stood upright again, looking at Trace who was walking towards her. He was quite the site, tattoos and a very lovely, if she had to describe him, Renee would call him some sort of indie with very gorgeous blue eyes. To put it simply, there was a large amount of attraction coming from Renee's side of the couple. How could there not be? The man boy was charming and gentlemanly. He had respect for her, which was more then what she could say for her past boyfriends, even though the number was quite low. "So, you want to go for a walk or something? It's the first time I've been out since last week when the rain started."

ITS SOMETHING NEW YOU SHOULD TRY FEELING waking up on the other side His blue eyes skirted away from Renee's face and scanned the area around him. Trace was so tall he could see right over the girl's head. It really was a nice day, and he hadn't even noticed the crowds of people flooding into the park. Trace figured it was just a day to relax and just talk to people. Which was what he was doing. Trace was usually overly friendly with people he first can in contact with. A lot of people got freaked out by it, and he could really care less. If he was too intrusive for them, that was their problem. Trace is an all in your face type of guy. Most of the time when people turn him down for friendship, he just walked away in the other direction. Changing for someone was just out of the question. Trace realized he was daydreaming yet again and gave a little sympathetic smile when Renee was explaining she had much worst injuries. Oh he believed that."How were you able to get your wrist broken, but not your ankle from a stumble?" He wasn't trying to be rude, his tone wasn't. Trace simply was curious. He had once dislocated his shoulder while skateboarding, but that was the worst he had done. Trace usually tried to watch his actions while he was up, awake, and walking around. He couldn't account himself when he would sleep walk or anything. Which he had done a few times. Don't even attempt to ask about it, it all ending in very embarrassing numbers.
He chuckled when her whole face turned pink at the mention of sex. Trace wasn't trying to freak her out, he was just stating how sick minded his mother was. He noted to never listen to her book reviews again. Trace shrugged his shoulders again, letting out a cute laugh. Oh, he was not comfortable talking about that subject with his mom. But it came up quite a lot because his mother's head was always in the gutter. You would think it would be the twenty one year old man who was like that, but no. The fourty four year old woman was quite the pervert."Considering my parents aren't quite vocal in their bedroom at night, you learn to stomach it." Trace shuddered and laughed again. He had asked him mom and dad to just stop that, but they seemed to just not want to listen. He would never scar his kids like that, they just found it hysterical how creeped out it made Trace. But he learned how to block it out, so it was all good.
Trace unscrewed the cap to his Gatorade and took another sip. He was almost completely out. He nodded slightly at her answer. Trace expected her to say no to his offer. He just figured he might as well ask since she kept staring at his drink. Trace put the cap back on and watched as she pulled her own money out. His eyesbrow shot up as she randomly pulled out a fifty dollar bill. Well then, that was just a random bunch of luck. He wished he could find a fifty in his pocket, as if he could really rifle out that type of money at his own income. Trace spotted the two toonies and wanted to bluntly ask if he was Canadian, but stopped himself because he realized she had actually skipped around him and had gone over to the vending machines. Trace spun around and blinked, not really sure what to do. So he just started walking towards her. He didn't want their conversation to end just then.
She had gotten a red Gatorade and looked more than thrilled to have it. He didn't question her excitement, because well it was hot. He would have been excited too. Trace had been extremely excited when he had gotten his drink earlier. Speaking of his drink, it was empty. He tossed it into a recyling bin that was next to the vending machines and pulled out his gummy worms and ripped open the package with his teeth. He threw that in the trashcan and took one and bit a piece off the end. Trace held the bag out in case Renee wanted some."Yeah sure. A little company would be nice." He smiled widely at her."Even though the rain was a pain in the ass, it kept me sleeping all week." He chuckled.
