Naussica had been running at top speed for at least an hour before she was certain that she had escaped that hunter. She had entered the forests and had to successfully run at top speed, while dodging trees and branches, and jumping over logs and brush to get away. She didn't know how it all went down, but she was suddenly running for her life, from a crazed hunter. How do they do it? How do they manage to find people like her so easily?
She had been injured, shot at least twice; once on her left hip, shattering the bone, and once on her right shoulder, also shattering the bone. She needed to get away, so that she could rest and heal. Although, she had no choice, she had to run away. She was way to injured to possibly fight the hunter. As she ran through the forest, she had to tolerate her injuries, even during the times she accidentally hit them against the trees.
Naussica managed to find a very old and clearly abandoned house in the middle of the forest. Without thinking twice, she ran into the house and planted herself inside. Once she was certain she was safe from the hunter, she walked into the main living room of the two story building. The house was covered in dust, and full of old furniture; fancy and elegant. She could see clearly through the dark and wasn't too concerned. Bleeding all over the place, Naussica laid on the floor, on the massive, thick rug in the center of the room, on her side, and fell asleep.

Rory opened his eyes slowly, finding the darkness around him surprising. It was hard for his apartment to get this dark, since he always had the windows open. As he sat up, he yawned, his jaws stretching open to reveal fangs of almost a vampire like nature, though, vampire blood took no place in his bloodlines whatsoever. Looking around, his eyes started to widen as the surroundings came into focus. This wasn't his home. He didn't even know where this was. The feeling of panic and dread washed over him as he looked around, then at what he was lounging on.
He was in a room filled with old furniture, that was clear. Everything had a gray tone to it, the inches of dust telling time like an old history book. Waking up without any knowledge of your previous actions was not fun, and he had more than his fair share in that department. He only hoped to god that Vitale hadn't done anything stupid again. Standing up, he looked down at himself. He was dressed in black skinny jeans with a simple grey long sleeved shirt. He also had on his typical chains around his neck, his leather gloves, and biker books. At least he wasn't donning his other personality's clubbing outfits, because then he would have cause for alarm. Just as he thought he was clear of any danger, he spotted a shape on the ground. The dread instantly spiked up, causing his pulse to quicken. The last thing he needed was to be accused of murder.
Standing slowly, he pushed up the sleeves of his shirt to his elbows. He ran a hand through his hair nervously as he slowly crept towards the body. It was clearly a woman, now that he was close enough to see that fact. Standing over her, he gazed down at the body, unable to tell if she was breathing or not. What if he killed her, he thought accusingly. Rory gently nudged her with the tip of his boot, almost scared of her reaction. "h-hello?" He stammered nervously, his soft voice contradicting heavily with his appearance. After a second, he knelt down next to her. He put a hand on her shoulder, giving her another nudge. "Wake up." He almost pleaded as he gazed down at her with lilac colored eyes.

Throughout her slumber, Naussica remained on her side, her chest heaving as she breathed heavily. You could almost hear her strong breaths across the room. She looked very demonlike, with her hand a mess or firey red, her skin pale, and a strange darkness around her eyes. She had been dressed in long, dark blue jeans, just a little skinny, but not skin tight and a plain, black T Shirt with Elvis on the front.
She stirred a bit when the figure near her touched her. Still in her sleep, her lips parted as she let out a low, unhuman growl, her fangs exposed. Only did her teeth grow sharp when in distress. The nails on her finger tips had grown longer and sharper and thicker as well. Her hands gripped the carpet beneath her as she began to wake. Her deep red eyes peeled open and she took an intake of the world around her. Suddenly, she rolled over and was on a single knee, facing the man near her. She raised her arms in a defensive stance and bared her fangs to him. 'Get away!" She shouted at him. Clearly, she was still bleeding all over the place. Some blood had made a pool around where she laid and was now soaked in her hair and the side of her face. The metallic smell almost made her sick.

Rory jumped slightly, moving away from her sudden outburst. With the quickness he moved back from her, retreating to the other side of the room where he had been before. His muscles tensed as his body coiled, ready for an attack. He was not a violent person in any way, but that didn't mean he wouldn't attack to defend himself. He bared his own fangs, like he usually did, though they were really only for intimidation. He hissed slightly, his light purple eyes clouding over and going a deep indigo within seconds.
But then the metallic smell of blood wafted to his nostrils as he flared them, taking in the scent. It made him stop, and all the defensiveness drained from his body. He straightened himself up, coming to a full height of over six feet. He looked at her, his eyes widening just a bit. "I'm not a threat." He said softly. She was clearly already injured and didn't want to add any more stress onto that. He raised his hands up in a vulnerable gesture, showing further that he meant no harm. "You're hurt." Rory stated, as if she didn't already know. He slowly took a step forward, craning his neck so he could try and spot the source of all this blood. "I can help you." He was an awkward, antisocial little misfit most of the time. But right now, she needed help. That was the only thing that stirred him out of his shell and made him say more than three words to her. Of course he could help, though, he wasn't lying about that. He was a warlock, and a very experienced one at that.
All he had to do was take a quick look at the damage done to her body so he could figure out what spells he would need to use. Rory gestured to the lounge chair he had been sleeping in for her to sit down so he could assist her. "Please. You've lost a lot of blood." He looked at her with concern written all over his expressions. That was one of his weaknesses. You could beat him until near death, but if you needed it, he would drop everything just to try and help you out. He glanced from her to the chair, wondering if she was going to cooperate or if she was going to risk losing too much blood and possibly passing out.

Naussica instantly prepared to fight him. Not only had she exposed her demon self, but she had a feeling he was a threat; something she couldn't quite explain. Perhaps, she was just afraid; she had never been hurt this badly before. Although, he flashed her his own fangs; making her feel that he might attack. She was unsure. But then, he changed suddenly. Perhaps, he had become aware of her injuries; for a demon, that meant weakness, and that was not acceptable. She snarled as he tried to sound as less of a threat. "Don't convince yourself that my blood is a sign of weakness."
Once he stood up straight, she realized how tall he was. She never seen anyone that tall before. Naussica, herself, was about 5'5 when standing up straight. She stood up, but remained hunged over, in a position prepared to jump, or dodge, or attack, if needed. With the step he took forward, she lifted her arm, as if in a signal that she would attack. She didn't dare take a step back, she stood her ground. She wasn't a killer of the innocent, but wouldn't take a chance. "I can lose enough blood to sustance ten humans--" She paused. "Your pity will not work on me... human." Was he human? She seemed doubtful, perhaps, he would tell her.

Rory watched her with a mixture of concern, fear, and amusement coursing through his body. He gave a small roll of his eyes, not meant to be disrespectful, it was just that he disliked confrontation. So he tried as much as possible to change the course. "You're dripping blood by the quarts yet you're still ready to rip my throat out. Weakness is not a word I would associate you with." He said simply. He kept his voice calm, since he was trying not to panic about all the blood she was losing. The way she spoke, and the eyes, made it clear that she was a supernatural.
And the way she tossed around the term human. "Human?" Rory repeated her assumption, raising an eyebrow as he studied her. This woman was a fighter. She wasn't going to be brought down easily, which made him wonder just what she was. And even further, what would dare mess with her? "Hardly." He snorted slightly. He didn't have anything against humans. In fact, he'd rather fight on their side than against them. But he still didn't like being compared to one of them. "A Warlock, actually." He stated, putting a hand on his hip and watching her. He glanced at the chair again and bit his lip nervously. Considering the fact that she could probably stand to lose a lot more blood, he still didn't like it, and wanted to fix her as quick as possible.
"And I specialize in healing. I can heal your wounds quicker than if you let them heal on their own, and right now those bullet holes are at risk of serious infection." Rory said, locking his dark eyes on the bullet wound on her shoulder. He scrunched up his nose slightly as he looked around again. Everything in here was so disgusting. God knows how many germs and viruses were lurking everywhere, and she was just laying on the floor. He motioned to the chair again, this time giving her a small pleading smile.

Naussica couldn't understand why he would try to help her; assuming that was his attention. What kind of... anything would possibly want to help something like her. She always knew there was more out there than the simple demon, ghost, and monster-even if she never met any. She had plenty of stories to make her believe that there was more out there, she wasn't the only odd creature to exist. But, what was he? What made him think he could take her?
She was at least not entirely obsurd, for having doubt in his species. He was a warlock, she had never heard of that. Of course, she knew what one of those was. But, the young girl never heard of any sort of creation actually existing. She did need healing, she was smart enough to know that. But, how could she place faith in a stranger. What if he tried to kill her with acid, or some sort of deadly chemical and poured it into her wounds? Would she have to deny his offer and sit there and suffer, for the sake of her pride? Or give him a chance?
She sighed. "Have it your way..." The young demon turned around and lifted her shirt up and pressed it against her chest to hide herself. The wounds on her shoulder and hip were exposed, a mess of guts and red. "I suppose you're smart enough to not have to warned to not try anything..." She mumbled loud enough for him to hear.
"Die, withdraw, hide in cold sweat, quivering lips Ignore, remorse, naming a kid, living Wasteland This time you've tried all that you can it's turning you red"

When she finally agreed, it brought a satisfactory smile to his lips. "Thank you." He sighed, happy to get rid of the blood. He looked around the room, trying to think of where to get the necessary ingredients to perform the healing process. As if a light bulb went off in his head, he starting walking toward a hallway that exited the room. "I'll be right back." He said with a nod, then scurried off to find the kitchen. He returned a few minutes later with an arm full of common household items.
He knelt on the floor and put everything down, starting to mix up some things. Baking soda, lime juice, and rubbing alcohol made up a liquid that with a little tweaking could be used as sterilization. He mixed them together in a small bowl, then muttered a few spells. When he finished putting the charm on the mixture, it smoked for just a moment, sending white tendrils into the air before disappearing. Picking up a small sponge, he dampened it by dipping it into the bowl. Then leaning forward a bit, he put one hand on the back of her thigh to hold her steady. Rory gave a small laugh as he placed the sponge on the wound, cleaning off the blood that was surrounding it. "I'm not the one you need to worry about. You're completely safe around me." He said shaking his head slightly. It was Vitale who needed to be warned. Putting down the sponge he picked up some pliers and glanced up at her. "This will hurt. A lot. But I'll be as gentle as I can." He said arching his eyebrows slightly out of concern.
He felt bad for causing her all this pain, even if in the long run it would make things better. After sterilizing the pliers, he took a breath and gripped the back of her leg slightly so she couldn't pull away. He stuck the long tips of the pliers into the wound, maneuvering until he felt the resistance of metal on metal. He then clamped the pliers closed around the bullet, and carefully removed it. The process took only seconds, but he could only imagine how painful it felt. Rory muttered a few more spells and watched as the wound started to close. The bone slowly started to move back together and the muscles weaved themselves back in place. He stopped his chanting, pausing to clean more of the wound, wanting to disinfect it as much as possible. He scanned the floor, spotting an old-style thermometer that he brought out.
Dislodging the glass stick, he cracked it open, tipping it upside down and allowing a few drops of mercury to drop inside what was left unhealed of her hip. "The mercury will help the bones heal fully with less pain." He said, glancing up at her and filling her in, just in case she was wondering what he was putting inside her body. Rory picked up the spell where he had left off, and in seconds the skin had come back together, leaving only a pale line of scar-tissue. "That should go away in a few hours." He said, nodding toward the temporary scar. Standing up, Rory looked at her shoulder and started the process all over again. "So, how'd you get into this mess?" He asked as he started to disinfect around the wound.

"You're strange... offering asistance to a stranger who is clearly demented," She babbled on, completely baffled that the Warlock would offer his assistance to her, especially seeing that she threatened to kill him a couple times. Maybe he was used to that kind of behaivor from... her kind. 'Have you met others like me?" She asked suddenly.
When he pressed the ingredients against her wound, she flinched a bit, but made no sound. She had felt worse, and it wasn't anything to get all worried about. Although, she definitly wasn't expecting him to reach into her wounds and pull the bullets out. She screeched, her voice sounding demonic, rather than feminine. Although, she tried to stay still, she was flinching horribly and growling at him. Then, all of a sudden, the bullets were gone. She could already feel that tingly feeling her flesh did when it began healing; it was odd. "I was attacked by a hunter, of course," She replied, her voice calm.
She wondered if there was more than just the hunters she should be concerned about, that was most likely the case. She wouldn't be surprised if she had a world of enemies out there just dying to dig their claws into her. Life was full of people to be afraid of; always and for anyone. The blood that poured out of her system began to turn black and crumbled away like dust; she never could explain why it did that. Once the Warlock was done, she slipped her shirt back on and stood up. She shook her body a bit to dust the dried blood off her body. ".....thanks."

Rory studied the wound on her shoulder, watching the healing process at work. He listened to her words as the skin regenerated and started to close over the scarlet colored muscles on the inside. He thought about what she had asked, and after a second, looked up at her, his light purple eyes locking on her red ones. "What are you, exactly?" His head tilted to the side curiously, also making his wild black hair lean as well. Kneeling down on one knee, he picked up the ingredients that were on the floor, then stood up and quickly returned them to the kitchen.
He came back in the room just in time to hear her tell him that hunters were the cause of the wounds. Shaking his head, he sighed. Then after a second, a nervous grin came to his lips and a relieved laugh sounded from his throat. "Honestly, I thought I was the one who gave you those." He said, shaking his head slightly, meaning the bullet injuries. "Some times it's crazy not remembering what you did the night before." Rory didn't even realize that she had no idea what he was talking about. He probably sounds totally insane to her, but he completely forgot that she wasn't filled in on his situation.
Giving another shake of his head, he casually went over to the seat that the woman had vacated. It was at this point that he didn't even know who she was. "My name is Rory." He said, offering her up a smile, exposing his fangs. He ran the metal ball of his tongue ring along his teeth, causing a slight clicking noise as he watched her, wondering if she was going to tell him her name as well.

She didn't really fancy the question of what she was. It wasn't offensive or anything like that. It didn't bother her mentally or make her feel as though she had been wronged. She simply disliked admitting what she was. She could always lie to him, right? Now with her shirt back on properly and standing, she dusted herself off; getting that dried blood off her body. "I'm a demon," She admitted eventually, sounding sour about it. She looked to the stranger, "I don't mean to offend you, whatever your name is... but I doubt you could hear that badly." She did her best to sound nice about it, she wasn't wanting to sound rude or anything like that.
But then, he gave her his name. She let her eyes wander around the room a bit. It was old, dusty, and smothered in fancy furniture. Even though she could see through the darkness, she wanted some proper light. "My name's Naussica," She said as she walked over to the fireplace. She reached in and scratched her nails together so roughly that a spark shot from them and started a fire over old logs that sat in the fireplace.
