Why did today have to suck so bad? That was the only thought that had ran through Kaitlynns head as she walked into Murdoch. She had, had a disastrous day so far, only making it far worse by breaking her arm. Of course she hadn't noticed, one of the perks of being a demon was that she couldn't feel, but someone had to notice before her. Pretending to be all concerned when she knew in fact they were just wondering if there was any juicy gossip behind that. Of course there wasn't, it had been a careless accident really, that could have been avoided had she been paying attention. You would have thought someone as old as her would have stopped being so stupid and paid attention to what they were doing. But not Kaitlynn she had always had a knack for getting into unnecessary situations. and now as she walked down the halls of the hospital she thought of the things she could have done to prevent this. the most simplest solution would have been to have been dressed more sensibly. The pair of high heels she had worn may have made her look taller and older, but it sure as hell didn't help with her coordination. And walking anywhere in a pair of heels may have been challenging but it was extra dangerous because she had chosen that day to trek through the forest looking for a witch. The footwear meant she wasn't as mobile and as she walked she tripped. It seemed so childish to her at that moment in time. Tripping over was such a kids thing to do, but yet she managed to do the same and come out of it with a broken arm. That was the moment she had decided to abandon plan. She wasn't that far into the forest yet and knew she could wait. It wasn't that important.
Her broken arm had went unnoticed and she had no clue how. It seemed strange but Kaitlynn had taken no notice of that. After all she couldn't feel the pain that was associated with injury. So as she walked on the side walk and some random stranger had asked her if she was all right she had been confused. Her all right? Of course she was. Her untidy attire may have been strange but it wasn't that bad. Later she found out that the blood streaming down the arm was what had caused the concern. She had then excused herself and walked to the hospital. She may not feel it but the bone needed to heal and it needed to be placed back into position. Her thoughts drifted back to where she was. Looking down at her arm she saw the blood streaming slowly down and dripping onto the ground. ''Shit,'' cursing had been a thing that Kaitlynn had picked up from her human peers, she had gone to school to blend in and it gave her so many more opportunities to create chaos, she liked to make people suffer, humans were weak and stupid and she definitely didn't want to be their friends. So she'd done the opposite befriended them and then slowly started ruining their lives. So as she tried to wipe away the blood that was pooling down her arms she slowed her walking down and took no notice of where she was going. If someone wanted to go past they would have to make the effort to find a way, she certainly wasn't going to move for anyone.
The last time she had actually been in a hospital had been a couple of years ago and that injury had been self inflicted. She had gotten tiered of not feeling and had wanted to experience some sort of sensation again. She didn't mind that it would be pain. But as far as she had gone nothing had worked. She had used a knife at fist on her arm. The scar was still there. When she realised that it wasn't working she had given up on the idea and gone to the hospital to get it sorted out, she may not like humans but she still she didn't want something else to happen to her arm. She rather liked to keep it. Some people had thought it had been a suicide attempt, this made Kaitlynn laugh, why would she had been at a hospital getting her arm fixed if she wanted to commit suicide and anyway the only way she could have died is if she had tracked down a guardian angel and had asked them to kill her. Nothing else would work on an original demon. But stupid humans didn't know what she was, did they so had no clue how ironic what they had said was.
Kaitlynn reached into her pocket with her good hand, and slowly lifted a packet of tissues out. As she tried to unsuccessfully open them she dropped the, ''Really, what a crappy day.'' she muttered to herself. She bent down to pick them up. The blood was starting to get on her nerves, why did there have to be so much off it.
