Mystique just flashed him a playful glare and shook her head as they agreed that they would take each other to where they were each first born. She would admit, it would be exciting and she wondered if she would feel anything upon seeing her birth place, but she supposed she would find out eventually. She listened to him and sighed softly, knowing that feeling of having to let someone go before they noticed how you were not aging. Her fingers tightened around his slowly as she just whispered, “I’m sorry love,” she said as she felt some sort of ache for him. She then heard him talking about possibly moving with her to another city and she just simply whispered into his ear, “I’d certainly go with you to a different city,” she said with a smile on her lips as she kissed his ear and along his jawline gently. Another city would be wonderful because she would explore the world a little bit more. She thought about maybe taking him to some countries in South America because of some of the great people she has met, but then again they had grown up slightly since the last she had seen them. She winced as she thought that maybe that was not such a good idea, but she would still love to go there. She had not spoken Spanish in quite a while and definitely needed to work on the language more even though she had studied it for so long that she knew it like the back of her hand.

Mystique smirked as he wrapped his arms around her, as she was drawn close and commented on her dress. “You look very dashing yourself,” she said as she laughed softly at his wittiness. She kissed him back deeply, temptation lurking behind them as they were so close. When he pulled back, she just smiled, “I am indeed.” Corsets were such a pain, but she had learned to lace them up by herself, it making her torso very petite, but it made her look far more elegant than she usually was. She was not sure what type of party it was, but she hoped that she was not over dressed. Besides, she wondered what type of people would be attending this party, but a friend of Christian’s was hosting it, so she would trust that it would be quite enjoyable. Although, even if it was not, she knew since he was with her that he would find a way to make it quite exciting.
Mystique heard his thoughts and just laughed once softly and looked up at him, blushing at his thoughts when he wrapped his arms around her before they left, as she just leaned into his kiss and looked up at him before she was pressed to the wall, just feeling tingles run through her as he gazed over her appearance. “Mmm, a walk home, but afterwords, well, I don’t think that takes explaining dear. She gasped softly as he was particularly close as her eyes scanned over him, her arms having come to slide up his chest slowly, her heart thudding against her chest. She knew this was to happen and she did not mind and it honestly did not surprise her. She just slid her hands around his back, pulling him tight against her, stronger than she looked as she just leaned up and kissed him deeply, still resting her body flat against the wall as she stood on her tip toes to reach his lips. After a long moment, she pulled back, her breath coming out a little heavier.
The air changed as he pulled away and took her hand kissing it gently. She smirked at his charm. She only smiled more at his statement about being pleased to have her with him. She raised her eyebrows as she looked at him as they walked when he was about to raise a question. “Well, I prefer if you were to stay civilized, darling,” she said, her voice full of velvet as she then looked forward. “But if someone were to ask and throw a fit, then you may proceed with what you would like. Although, if for some reason I know someone at this party, which I do know quite a few people, I will ask you not to harm them,” she explained as she just continued to walk as she was led towards where they needed to go. She was very curious as to how large this party would be.

A smug smile painted itself over his lips when Christian had pinned Mystique to the wall for those few moments as she answered his inquiry towards her. The male grinned innocently, "Oh beau, I don't think I do." He reassured her. The Immortal quietly squeezed her hand gently the moment he had separated himself from her - reluctantly. Keeping silent, Christian quirked an eyebrow as she explained the rules. Giving her a pained expression, as if it would hurt him to act civilized, the Immortal gave her a light wink as he heard her explain about knowing plenty of people, "Of course, Mysty. Then I'll just be sure to pay attention to their auras and yours. The moment I get something wrong though, I'm sorry, but I will step in." he admitted. Though mainly he knew, he'd only step in if they first, made a move, or if they were going after Mystique by picking on her or whatnot. He would have none of that. And he certainly wouldn't let it go without getting cold revenge on the male either. Upon approaching the mansion, Christian smiled as he recognized a few people, his arm hooked with Mystique's in the customary way a man escorted a woman into a party. The man at the door grinned as he opened it for them, as he probably did, Christian thought, with about everyone, "Welcome." They entered and were greeted by other well-dressed members of society, he recognized multiple higher-ranked soldiers, and people in the government, local and a few in the Federal government too. Wow, his friend Henry certainly knew how to throw a party. Spotting the host with a drink in hand, Christian chuckled slightly and mused, "Well Mystique, would you prefer perhaps a drink then dancing?" The Immortal then drew her close happily, also it allowed them to move through the crowd a little faster too. Not that he was too worried about someone stealing away Mystique, more than he was just concerned with them getting through to the seating area together. Henry spotted them along with his blonde wife, and the duo headed over, politely greeting Christian and Mystique, "Welcome, Christian...and who might this lovely woman be?" Henry inquired, as his wife, Amelia grinned lightly towards Mystique, eyes watching them carefully as Henry shook Christian's hand, letting her introduce herself, Christian mused, "It's a wonderful party Henry. You and I will need to catch up soon." Henry gave him a happy wink and nodded, before kissing Amelia and pointing to Mystique, "You take care of her now, Christian, hear me? You'll have her forever, like I have Amelia if you treat her right." Amelia gushed and grinned to Henry before he then politely dismissed himself. Sighing in moderate relief, Christian looked to Mystique, "I certainly think you're the most beautiful woman here." he grinned lightly, and inquired, "What would you like to drink? Name it and it's yours."

Christian always made her smile with the way he smiled and for whatever reason he did. It was a contagious smile that always spread across his handsome lips. She watched him grin obnoxiously as he said what he did and she commented, “Let’s hope not,” she smirked wide as she just was teasing him. She did a double take at his expression and put one hand on her hip. “Don’t give me that look, you better behave and you may do so if it gets out of hand or there is a threat.” She said as she heard his thoughts as to what would happen and just shook her head finally arriving, as she watched all the upper class people spill in and she just smiled pleasantly at the friendly welcome. She just looked upon entering the party, raising an eyebrow, thinking this was quite a party. When he offered a drink then dancing, she most certainly would follow with that idea. “Sounds wonderful,” she said with a smile.
She stayed close to him when they moved through the crowd, trying to stick together as she saw a lovely couple coming towards them. The woman with what she figured was Henry by Christian’s thoughts made her smile a bit, knowing she must be a bit like herself. “I’m Mystique, it is a pleasure to meet you, and you must be Henry,” she said as she then glanced towards Amelia who smiled towards her and she smiled back in a friendly manner. She simply leaned in and kissed her on each cheek. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Amelia,” she said, as she just stood next to Christian, returning with her arm linked in Christian’s. She was quite flattered by what Henry said and she just looked at Christian, smiling a bit as she just leaned into him a little more. They left after moment before Christian and Mystique exchanged a glance. She smiled wide, biting at her lower lip again softly. “You know you flatter me a bit, dear,” she said as she just leaned up and kissed him just ever so softly. “Any wine that you think fit, I’m not too picky,” she said as she slipped her hand into his, her arms till linked with his.
They walked over to the bar, Christian having ordered for her what was a dark red merlot wine. She took the wine glass in her hands as she took an empty seat where Christian sat and waited for him to grab a drink before she held up her glass to his, “A toast to our new life together,” she said with a wide smile tapping her glass against his before taking a drink of the wine, the sweet liquid running down her throat.

Placing a hand over his heart, as if sincere - not in a million years - Christian spoke, "Fine, fine. I'll behave what's my definition of behaving." He grinned innocently. He watched Henry and Amelia walk away and he inquired to Mystique, grinning weakly, "Did you recognize anything about their auras?" The male grinned lightly, running a hand over his hair which he'd combed back, getting in into a socially acceptable style before he then shifted gently. It wasn't that Christian was uncomfortable in these social situations, where he need to "act" like he was actually someone of importance - not that he cared too much, he was just...eh. He'd lived long enough to know that he didn't care much about being on top. It was just nice to be able to blend in and not go noticed. To be able to walk down the street without someone from your past recognizing you. Unless of course it was someone like Mystique. Someone who was like you and knew how to handle those types of situations very well. "Henry's half shapeshifter, and Amelia, she's a witch, she just changes her eye color." Christian grinned, giving Mystique a light look. Their species though, was interesting. He was old enough though now that it didn't matter to him about his past. Most Immortals, by selling their souls. He had inherited his. It was how it worked. Personally, Christian wanted to meet someone who was older than him, because that could prove to be interesting if he were to say he was one of the oldest of his species, and his father didn't count since he died back in the early 1200s. Shoving those thoughts away the moment Mystique opened her mouth, he nodded and ordered her a drink, getting the same for himself. Following her with his eyes as she sat down, he got her drink and delivered it to her, before he then went ahead and got his own drink after standing next to Mystique, this way he was able to stay closer to her than if he were to be sitting down. Only after a few moments did he finally decide to sit down, and heard her offer up a cheers for them. Keenly watching her reaction, he mused, "To our lives together, and all our time." He mused, grinning, like their own little inside joke around the world. No one else could know what it meant besides the two of them. Besides the fact that there happened to be a few other supernaturals here, but none of them had the age that the two of them did. It was reassuring to Christian though, to be able to be, to speak with someone who had been around for a long time. Much like he had been. Granted his time had been longer, but they could relate to each other even better that way. Looking to her gently, surprise melted over his features when Amelia approached them, eying the two quietly, "So, Mystique, how did you meet Christian here?" Amelia grinned, and that's when it was evident her eyes were back to their normal brilliant purple that all witches shared. It was a trait Christian certainly wasn't jealous of. He may never age, but he didn't need to worry about something standing out to the public for him. Once Mystique answered Amelia, the woman nodded, "I'm happy to..." her rose-red lips twitched in a slight smile, "Have found someone." Amelia nodded her head gently to the two of them, giving Mystique a gentle look before she then vanished, but not before giving Christian a look and him catching onto her thoughts, take care of yourself and her. Well - both Henry and Amelia told him that. Scowling towards the witch, Christian shifted his attention to Mystique, noticing she had finished her drink. Swiftly standing up, the immortal offered her his hand, and gestured politely to the dance floor, "Care to bless me with a dance?" he teased, asking her even though she'd told him not to about the common sense ones. Spinning her out onto the dance floor, holding her close, Christian ran a hand down her back and stopped it lightly around her waist, their hands intertwined for a slow dance together, him leading her smoothly. "Do you plan on continuing work with this war?" he inquired softly, as it slowed, he drew her closer, if at all possible, closing the space between them once more. "I say we do visit our hometowns...get away from here for awhile." he mused, eyes locked onto hers, "Who taught you to dance?" he raised both brows curiously. She was a good partner to dance with, not too slow or fast with the pace. Just perfection, as he had expected.

Mystique laughed as she knew he would have his way anyways and she just merely glanced back at the couple, but now that they were mingling with other people, she must have overlooked it. She was too distracted by Christian even to notice and she just blushed softly as she waited for the answer. How did she not notice though? Mystique indeed felt quite old compared to everyone else besides Christian. They both understood each other in the fact of how it was to live for centuries. “They are definitely an interesting pair, but nonetheless seem great together,” she said, thinking about the combination of a shapeshifter and a witch, remembering multiple stories she had told about them. She had met quite a few in her life time, mostly in South America, but there were always some she found wherever she went. She laughed at his toast with a smile as she understood the joke.
Amelia came over, as Mystique turned to gaze at her and she just smiled. “Well, we’re both served in the war. I was helping nurse his friend back to health and we got to talking about things in general. We promised to meet after and here we are,” she said with a smile as she glanced towards Christian. During her story, she had noticed how Amelia’s eyes changed, making her constantly focused on them, something rather pretty about purple colored irises. Witches were always interesting in each of their own ways, but she wondered if all of their eyes shifted like that. Most of them that she met had, but there were a few she had not been so sure about. Her fingers just wrapped around the glass before she finished her drink, gently setting the glass on the counter next to them.
When Amelia left, she heard her thoughts and raised an eyebrow turning back to Christian, catching his scowl. “I think they just worry for you dear,” She said as she took his hand and smiled, “I’d be pleased to,” she said, smirking at his teasing tone. He has spun her nearly instantly though as she came into him close, her breath caught in her throat as she just looked up at him and allowed him to lead her swiftly and elegantly through a few dance moves. She felt where his hands were placed, hers resting on his back as they just seemed to be dancing to a slow song at the moment which usually meant conversation and alas, here it was.
His question was a good one and she had planned on it originally, but now she was not so sure. She knew that for a while being the head nurse was a privilege that she did not want to give up, but she did not want to risk Christian either, her hands tightening on him gently. “I don’t think so, but I have to find a fitting replacement if I step down,” she said as she looked up at him. She would tell the staff and get everything figured out. Right now she just wanted to spend time with Christian and could not think about going back really.
When she gazed into his eyes, he also suggested that they visit their hometowns. “Sounds excellent,” she mused as she just could not help but think they seemed like a newly married couple deciding honeymoon plans and she just smirked, knowing he might hear those thoughts. Then he asked her a question about who taught her to dance and she remembered when she was younger. It was one of the only memories that she fully remembered of her father. “My father,” she beamed as she smiled, remembering him teaching her how to walz when she was younger. “What about yourself?”

Christian scoffed. Worry about him. Please. Most of the time now he was beginning to realize people were getting power hungry, which meant they would enlist the help of anyone who knew anything to help them get what they want. The Immortal wrinkled his nose and shrugged, "I suppose they do to an extent. But Henry, well...he isn't afraid to hire people to make sure he gets the office in Congress he wants." Christian shrugged. He hated dirty dealings, but nonetheless he wouldn't dare get involved, not unless of course they had something to threaten him with, which was why though he wasn't too concerned right now. They didn't know about Daniel and he was sure Mystique could handle herself. Besides, it wasn't like they were human. Well, in a way they were, but they couldn't die like a human could of course. Grinning coyly, he bowed slightly as he offered Mystique his hand for her to dance with him. Upon her accepting it and they were out on the dance floor, Christian was more than happy right now. He was perfectly content and so much more. Sighing softly, his steps leading them along with the music, he heard her think quietly through his question and he smiled lightly. It was cute to hear her think through things, kept him interested. Pausing, he mused, squeezing her hand back gently, "Don't you fret over it." The immortal grinned sheepishly, "I umm...already am free, so to speak. I resigned from my position, so now I'm technically just a solider." pausing, he continued, "I've been thinking about becoming a doctor again. Seeing you, and with this war, made me want to review what I know and help out." He fell silent, listening to the music, listening to the others' thoughts around him, though of course keeping a definite eye on Mystique's and her thoughts as well. The male paused upon hearing her thoughts, saying they sounded like a newly wedded couple planning their honeymoons. Anything but, he thought quietly, giving Mystique a teasing look. Honeymoons? Yeah, he'd only ever been on one, and it was to a city he absolutely adored, and would definitely want to go back to when he got older. Upon hearing her mention a parent though, Christian hesitated. His parents. Good Lord he was happy there were drawings of his parents from when he'd been younger for him, but he only had to rely on his photographic memory to serve him. What they looked like. His mother he remembered her hair was even brighter than Amelia's, and she had the same eyes he did, the sea blue. His father, dark, slightly wavy dark brown, almost black hair, with deep brown eyes to match. Yes, he remembered his parents very well, his mother, only human, though his father had been like him. Well, course till he was killed, but nonetheless, Christian wouldn't subject Mystique to all that, as he then grinned lightly when she turned the question on him. Who had taught him? Spinning her out, their arms elongated before he then drew her back in and inquired, "Why should I tell you?" he teased, winking, their bodies closing the space between each other's for a moment, as he noticed that the music would soon be changing to something more upbeat, "Do you know the tango perhaps?" He evaded the question for a moment, before he then sighed and spoke, spiraling around the floor smoothly with Mystique, "My..." he wasn't sure what to call her. Camila had been his wife, but he wasn't sure how he wanted to first bring her up with Mystique, so he went this route, figuring she'd probably heard his thoughts anyway, dammit, "Camila, she taught me a few moves when we.." he rolled his eyes at himself and continued, "Either way, I learned some from her, then I just really taught myself over the years. I mean, you can only do so much in every city." he grinned sheepishly, blue eyes locking onto her darker ones and added, "As for the cities, I say we visit yours first, then we can go to mine, as I happen to know there's a ferry sometimes between Lyon, a small island between there and Rome." he suggested. Mystique got the picture, between his words and his thoughts, as she just wondered really what type of friends they were after all. The thought about them threatening made her thoughts turn wary for merely a moment, but she trusted that nothing like that would happen or should happen. Then when he talked about him resigning from his position as she sighed, then tipping her head sideways questioning him talking about that. “Well, if you still want to, I’d be glad to be there as well. We would be working in a closer field and I would not mind that by any means,” she said as she smiled, her eyes gleaming happily towards him. She would be more confident and comfortable with them being together in this war working together. She never really had a taste for deliberately killing a person unless she had to and therefore she did not choose to fight in the war, rather just help people heal. There was always something sickening about just killing for the purpose of killing which is what most of the soldiers do out on the field from what she had heard from Christian. It made her heart drop because she had killed, but not for just the purpose of killing. She realized that Christian would be listening in and she honestly did not want him to hear her talking about this. This whole area of her life would be talked about tomorrow and she was afraid it might make him feel differently for a moment.
She then listened to his thoughts about his parents, picturing them in her head, along with Christian, seeing them as a close family, but perhaps it was not that way. He had not told her yet as she had not told him yet of her past. Then she just smirked as he teased her, just laughing. “Oh because you just should,” she teased back and only grinned more. “Do I ever!” She said as she went with him to the upbeat music making her smile even more. Then, she nearly tripped as she heard about his past wife, but she kept herself steady. It was just surprising because she had never been married, the idea not foreign to her, but she was just simply inexperienced. She smirked as he talked about them and wondered about Camila, but knew she would not ask anymore because he would simply tell her what he wanted to. “Sounds good, now back to dancing!” She said as they continued to dance, gliding swiftly around the floor as she just laughed at random points.

Mystique’s arm was linked with Christian’s as they stood near the entrance of the mansion, the party having been quite enjoyable. Amelia and Henry had come over to wish them a good bye and good luck. She had exchanged mere glances with each of them as Henry softly kissed her hand and Amelia exchanged a soft embrace with her. She then said, “Goodbye, it was wonderful, thank you both!” She said as she allowed Christian to say his farewells before they departed, as she smiled, just looking up at him momentarily. The night was cascading around them as the moon just rested on their appearances. She asked him, “So did you enjoy yourself, dear?” she asked him as she just slipped her hand into his, still lingering rather close to him while they walked along the road. She could not help but keep a small smile resting on her lips as she thought of the day they shared. She knew there were to be many more days that they would share together, and she was ready to experience all of it. They soon went back to her small house, as she just simply opened the door walking in as this again reminded her of the honeymoon instance. Like they were coming home from a wedding, but surely their wedding would have been much different from just a party. Although, she was not sure how she felt about the human tradition, the idea slightly just unreasonable to her. She wondered why two people did not just stay with the same person that they loved, but it was also romantic. The argument went through her head as she just continued walking down the hallway.

Catching the snippets of Mystique's thoughts about his own with Henry and Amelia, Christian chuckled slightly and ran a gentle hand along her jawbone, and mused, "Don't you fret about them. We are all humans after all." He grinned lightly, blue eyes lightening in mild amusement before he then heard her mention about him switching professions. Becoming a doctor. He of course wouldn't mind being able to be near Mystique while they worked as well, he'd certainly like going to his job everyday if he could. It was the thought of being able to help others out. Being able to do what he enjoyed, but yet it was still a "plain enough" job to be able to go through most of the days without being noticed. That was for sure. The Immortal quirked an eyebrow towards Mystique as they spun, before hearing the music shift, the tempo pick up, and then he began to go ahead and pick up their pace as well, turning it from a waltz into more of a tango. At least with the beat that was being offered to the dancers at the time. Spinning around smoothly, Christian pondered over it. Yes, he'd definitely become a doctor again, just what specialty, he wasn't sure, it wasn't like he had so many to pick from, basically between being one for wars or one for staying off the battles. He'd be all right with either one, especially if it came to him being with Mystique or not. So most likely just check for both and see which one seemed to fit the best with the two of them. - - - - - - - - - - "You should come and see us again, Christian. I miss chatting with you. Invite Mystique, I know Amelia would like the company." Henry teased, giving Amelia a soft kiss on her cheek before then nodding to Mystique as Christian's arm remained around the other immortal's waist happily, "I shall look into it, dear friend." He and Henry shook hands and Christian gave Amelia a gentle kiss on her hand as Henry did to Mystique's, before he and Mystique turned on their heels to begin to return to her own place. Looking to the beautiful woman beside him, her porcelain skin bathed in the soft moonlight that fell upon them like a waterfall, he grinned boyishly, feeling like he had a million dollars. At her inquiry, he nodded, giving her hand a gentle squeeze, "How could I not? You were there after all." He twitched slightly, adjusting their pace so it could be comfortable for both of them then the Immortal inquired, "Did you enjoy yourself? I'm just glad that it all went...smoothly." His lips twitched in amusement, signalling he was talking about him perhaps not completely behaving himself. Fortunately luck seemed to be on his side as well as hers. No one had asked either one of them to dance, or perhaps it had been the air they were giving off. Most likely that, as Christian had given a man a death stare as he had been tempted to ask Mystique to dance, though he knew Mystique had probably seen that. His thoughts tuned into hers as she seemed to suddenly think about them having been walking home from a wedding and not just any wedding, but their own wedding. Shaking his head slightly with a small smile on his face, Christian gave Mystique a gentle look to tell her he had heard those thoughts of hers. Amusement melted along his features before the immortal then eagerly followed her down the hallway, before he then paused, grabbing her arm gently, and stopped her. He did want to know. Hear it from her lips. Pausing, the immortal then drew Mystique close, closing the space between them, and then a wall behind her back once more. As it had happened only hours earlier. Tilting his head gently, eyes raking over her features carefully, he mused gently, toying with a strand of her hair gently, the other hand coiled around her, holding her close, never wanting to let her go, he inquired, "Where would you like me to stay tonight?" he arched an eyebrow, basically asking her everything in that one question. It was a simple question, but he of course would leave it up to her.

Mystique only smiled at his thoughts, just grinning at his words as she just looked up at him, feeling her hair just gently brushing at the bare skin of her neck from the few strands that had fallen. “Yes, most certainly. It’s been the most fun I’ve had in a while dear,” she said as smiled up to him thinking, the most fun I’ve had ever. It’s really what she had felt. She just shook her head at his last comment and thoughts, remembering the moment. She could not help but have just ended up saying no if anyone asked her to dance before Christian had made a move to claim her his. She liked this though, having someone stand up for her in a sense and say that she was only his. She had never had that before, although she came across many people to date, but she never really dated. She just always found the wrong person, but she felt right here in his arms as they walked together. The thought just made her smile even more, as she just glimpsed up at him.
Mystique just rolled her eyes at his response to her thoughts of marriage and just laughed after a moment. She was stopped as he grabbed her arm and she just looked over at him before she was pushed against the wall gently and they were face to face. She already heard his thoughts and despite them, she still noticed how he looked over her, making her get the goose bumps a bit. Ever since earlier, he had played with a few strands of hair which she rather grew fond of because it felt good when people played with her hair. She felt an arm go around her and she pondered the question just simply for a few seconds before she whispered, “Here, with me, in my bed, dear,” She said as she just whispered those words, pulling herself closer if at all possible, kissing him ever so gently as she just slipped an arm around his neck. Her fingers slipped into his hair and locked in the strands there, a smile forming against his lips as they seemed to both be caught in the moment.
She slowly pulled back and said, “You’re welcome to stay here tomorrow, and the next night, and so on. I’ve waited what seems like forever for you and I just, I want you here, with me.” She smiled and just gazed into his eyes, her other hand coming up to run along his neck, just as she said, “Come now,” She said as she moved along the hallway a bit more, her hands having slipped down to wrap around his waist, guiding him, even though she was sure he knew where everything was already.

Needless to say, Christian didn't need too much coaxing from Mystique last night. All he needed was the yes or no, the invite and that was it. He had slept pretty well, considering Immortals didn't sleep that much as they got older. The Immortal though, had woken up before Mystique did. He was good with that, he liked watching her sleep - like that didn't sound weird. Casually brushing some of her hair away the male got out of bed, knowing he should probably go check on his horse in the stable, see how he was doing there. Most likely okay, he was an open-minded animal. Thank goodness and adapted to change fairly well. Dressing in just a pair of pants, the male went over to Mystique's side of the bed, leaned down and placed a light kiss on her forehead before he sneaked out of her room silently, not wanting to bother her. Not that he would ever want to do so, to begin with. Christian straightened his frame as he then continued out of her room, tossing his clothes as well as her own from last night aside. Last night...he had no words for the whole thing. Stunning? No, that's how Mystique had looked through the whole night. Entering her kitchen, he started some tea and returned to her room, sitting on the bed with her, keeping a keen ear out for the tea and he then mused, lying back on the bed, his back against the headboard, as he greeted her, "Good morning, Mysty." he grinned lightly in greeting to the sleeping beauty, "How did you sleep? I'm making some tea if you want any." Today though, Christian had plans. One would be a surprise for Mystique, but the other would certainly be just him seeing about finding a job here in town. He would need to start working on though, getting the rest of his things from Boston down to here. Daniel would help, and he would want to escort his journals personally. Or whatever they could be called, they helped him keep all these years, all these centuries he'd had, separated, but together, they made him who he was after all. He kissed her hand gently, then her sweet lips, "I surely glad I didn't steal your blankets." Christian teased, running a hand through his hair, knowing he'd need to get it cut soon, or he'd run the risk of someone threatening it on him to get the bloody mop cut. Whatever. He had bigger fish to fry than his hair right now. Suddenly hearing the tea pot rustle, he grinned and headed out of the room and finished the tea, allowing Mystique to get to it when she wanted as he headed back into Mystique's room, sliding on just his undershirt from last night, and held up a small box for Mystique, a mischievous grin on his face, "Don't ask me anything about it, but I wanted to give this to you." He offered her the rectangular box, which within it held a necklace. It wasn't big and flashy, as he figured she would probably prefer something not obnoxious. They were real..if she was curious, and he allowed her to catch that from his thoughts. Pausing slightly, he was curious though, he had noticed her slight stumble last night when she heard him think about Camila. The only woman he had ever married in his centuries of being on this earth. Pushing those thoughts away after a moment, Christian walked with Mystique out into another part of her house, he liked her house. It suited her. It was lovely, decorative, yet not overly so. "Would you care to join me on a little job hunt today?" He figured it couldn't be too hard, with probably most of the doctors going into the war, there would most likely be a higher demand for doctors who weren't going to be a surgeon as they were called on the battlefield, and stay here and take care of people. Christian wouldn't mind that, but the bottom line was that he would go where he was needed. Blue-green eyes locked onto the darker ones of Mystique, and he then mused in French, "Vous regardez absolument ravissante, Mystique, comme toujours cher." (You look absolutely ravishing, as always dear Mystique) He loved being able to speak French with her, especially with it being his second-third language, and it being her native one, it kind of helped them...connect in a different way than the others. Tilting his head slightly, Christian left the day open to her after that. He just wanted to get a job settled here than in Boston, and whatever else was up to her. He was completely content where-ever and when-ever he was, and what-ever he was doing as long as she was right there with him.

Mystique woke up to Christian’s words as she just rolled over slowly, not wearing anything at the moment as she just had the sheets tucked around her. She just smiled as she looked up at him, “Good Morning, love,” she said as she jut stretched slightly. “I slept wonderfully, you?” She had slept better than she had the past few weeks, or months even and she just blushed slightly as to last night, having had a great night with him. “Thank you dear, I would love some,” she said stopped, hearing his thoughts as she just looked up at him slowly. “You’re moving in here, si?” She said, Spanish coming out of her mouth easily as she just blinked, it being weird that her third language slipped out so easily, but she had studied for nearly a millennium. She wanted to make sure that he knew that he could live here with her. She figured from last night he would get the idea, but she just wanted to make sure. “I can help you if you would like,” she said with a smile as she just yawned softly, smiling as she just rested her head on the pillow, just gazing at him. Her fingertips traced over his softly as she just smiled more, just thinking about last night over and over. Whatever walls there had been, she felt like everything had been broken down, like nothing could come between them, and really she saw nothing coming between them. Maybe she should be worried, but she trusted him, and knew he would not betray that trust.
She had stopped tracing when he kissed her hand, the small gesture making her smile more and she just smiled against his lips as she kissed him back and laughed softly against them as he said that. She just heard something squeal as she figured it was the tea, but she kept him close for one more moment, kissing him slightly just a bit more before letting him go. She just slid out of bed, pulling Christian’s dress shirt on as it fell over her small frame nicely as she just stretched before climbing back on the bed, just leaning against the headboard before just glimpsing at the box. She would wait, but he just came in and she tilted her head as he handed her that mysterious little box. She opened it with her thin fingers. A beautiful necklace lay beneath the cover as she just smiled, “Oh dear, it’s very beautiful,” she said as she brushed her fingers along the outline of the necklace. She loved this necklace already, it was not overly big and glamorous, just perfect. Then she heard that the jewels in the necklace were real diamonds and she just looked up at him. The cost had not really mattered, but the action of this just made her heart melt for him. She just could not believe that he had done this for her. “Thank you so much as she just leaned in, kissing him gently, hearing his thoughts as she just pulled back slowly and looked into his eyes. She heard his thoughts redirect and knew it was best not to bring it up. Then he just kind of grabbed her hand guiding her into another part of her house, as he seemed to be admiring it a bit, as she smiled.
“I would love to, where are we looking?” she asked him, slightly curious as to what he was thinking but then his thoughts answered her questions. She just blushed at what he said in French, making her shake her head and laugh, “Merci, Christian,” she said as she smirked a bit just looking at him tilt his head. “Can we go back to the waterfall once more today, please? Besides I wanted to tell you of my past if you are willing to hear me out,” she looked up to him, just making sure it was alright even though he thought that it was basically up to her. Maybe she was the one to start asking questions unnecessarily.

Looking to her quietly as she woke up, Christian smiled softly towards the immortal, then hearing her speak about how she slept, he nodded, agreeing with her silently. He too had slept just fine. Nevertheless not as much as humans, but still slept either way, and his dreams had been quite pleasant too. Christian then heard her speak a bit of Spanish about him moving in, he would like to as long as she was okay with it. "Claro, mi amor." He spoke, his mind switching to Spanish then to follow along with her speaking the language herself. He did listen in, hearing bits of her thoughts, and the immortal smiled. It was interesting, it felt like there was...nothing between them so to speak. That he didn't need to worry about judgment or worrying about her and what was between them, all because of last night. It had felt like Christian had known Mystique for centuries, not for months. He felt comfortable around her and he didn't want that to change ever if he could help it. A soft smile fell on his lips as she inquired about helping him out. That would be nice, he could borrow a carriage from Henry today to get all of his stuff from Boston to here. It would only take them probably just the rest of the day if they actually moved. Christian knew his horse wouldn't mind, but he might need another one just in case. "I presume you have a horse? Two is better than one." he grinned lightly, brushing his fingers with hers when he felt hers touch his, and he gave her own a gentle squeeze, not wanting to be not touching Mystique when he was around her. The male was particularly not only relieved, but happy as well as that she liked the necklace. He had been toying with the idea, but it was a Victorian era necklace, one he'd had around since it had been given to him by another man back in Europe, thinking Christian would be able to give it to his wife. Well, Christian had only ever married once, before he realized he wouldn't die. Then he had decided to get married would be stupid, but he would till remain with relationships. Tilting his head slightly as they exited their room, the male turned to her shortly upon her speaking of his job and such. Grinning lightly towards her he spoke, "Where-ever that gets my attention." He smiled reassuringly. Doctors were in demand, Christian was sure he would be able to work pretty much where-ever he wanted. Wrinkling his nose slightly, he then handed her a cup of the newly brewed tea he made and got himself a cup, before setting out some bread and a few dressings as well as some fruit. Grabbing an apple as he sat down by Mystique, looking at her like he was seeing her for the first time, Christian arched an eyebrow slightly when she asked about going to the waterfall, where they had been only yesterday, then about her past too. Her past. The past was something he didn't like to speak about. Well, probably because his own sucked. Don't get him wrong, there were always some lovely, wonderful ones like Mystique, and helping others, feeling his emotions, making sure he was able to maintain them for all these centuries. It did hurt sometimes, but that just helped remind him this was all real. That he was able to still have emotions. Some immortals after some centuries lost their emotions, Christian didn't. He refused to, and therefore he had to allow himself to experience them as much as humans did. Which was pretty much daily. Such a young species he thought quietly to himself, giving Mystique a gentle smile and he commented, biting into a wonderfully-tasting apple, "Of course, like I said...I love long stories." He stood up, and gave Mystique a gentle kiss on her lips, a hand brushing her leg as he did so, before he mused, "Should I suggest we perhaps get ready for the day ahead of us?" he quirked an eyebrow teasingly towards the beautiful brunette who had stolen one layer of his shirts he had worn yesterday, letting it hang loose about her smaller frame. Of course she'd have a smaller one, she was shorter and thinner of course, Christian laced with muscles over the years. Offering Mystique a playful hand to help her up, his hand snapped itself around her waist, and he eagerly kissed her, wanting to be able to kiss her when-ever he felt like it, "Have I told you how happy I am?" he inquired, smiling softly, and releasing her to do as she pleased about to get ready for the day. He would definitely be sure to dress lightly, as he heard it was going to be hot today. He wouldn't doubt it. As summer approached it would only get sunnier and hotter throughout it till the fall came. That was one of his favorite seasons, fall and spring, the in-betweens of the extremes. Lifting his gaze to Mystique's, Christian soon had become dressed and lounged out in her main room, getting to know the place as he let her get ready for their day, and do what she needed before he looked up as she entered the room, he smiled lightly, "You ready?"

Mystique just smiled as he agreed that he had slept well as well, just listening to the fact that he had pleasant dreams and she just wondered what they were about. Then when he switched to Spanish, she just smiled wide, “Cuanto tiempo estudiar espanol?” She asked him, wondering how many other languages he also knew. She herself completely in love and maybe she was blinded from something, but she just felt like they would be literally inseparable. It was one of those moments where it felt like you knew the other person for years and years, not a day or just weeks or months. There really was nothing that they could hide from each other unless they constantly watched their thoughts and controlled it and she could not even think about hiding something from Christian, much less betraying or harming him in the first place. She only smiled more as he seemed to be pleased to have her help readily at hand. She just listened to him, “Oh of course, I even have a carriage if you so desire?” She asked him hearing that he may want to try to ask Henry to borrow one, but it was very unnecessary. Mystique knew it might have been odd for women to have such property at this age, but she honestly got over how people looked at her when she had some of the nicest possessions. His touch was addicting, like a drug that she would never be able to break herself from, like something that was life sustaining. Her eyes just watched him and realized how absolutely precious he was to her already. She listened to his thoughts and wondered how hard it had been for him to see his first wife fade to death, but she understood in a sense of how it was to lose someone so close to you.
She smirked as he basically said wherever, thinking about possibly where she might work as she just looked up at him, “Maybe I ought to look as well,” she sighed, kind of wondering if she really wanted to continue working during the war as the head nurse. She would be starting out at a lower level, but she knew she could build herself up. She could probably even be a doctor, but it was rare for a woman to be hired as a doctor or even make her way up to become a doctor. She took the cup from him carefully as she adored the warmth that came to her skin, just smelling the sweet aroma. “Thank you,” she said as she saw that he had set out some breakfast and she just sat down in a chair, crossing her bare legs as she just grabbed a piece of an apple, biting it. She just took a small sip of her tea, steam still rolling off the deep red liquid. She heard his thoughts carefully; she just mused over them, letting the tea just set her thoughts straight. Everyone had something painful in their past at some point. The past was an important part and she knew that maybe some did not really want to talk about it, but it was like a key to guiding some of your future steps. Sometimes just to make better decisions instead of making the same mistakes. She just listened to him about refusing to feel and she too had refused to lose her emotions, refused to let them slip her grasp.
She smiled as he said he loved long stories, glad to here it because since she was nearly 2000 years old, it might be a very long story, although she would leave out some larger sections like when she studied in South America. She just returned his kiss as she felt his hand brush along her leg, sending shivers down her back. “Mmm, I don’t know, I like this. What if I were to just wear this?” she mused with a mischievous grin on her lips. Then when she was just about to grab his hand, he grabbed her around the waist, pulling her in for a kiss as she kissed him back, her arms having slipped around him. “No, not in words, love,” she smiled as she looked up at him. She had gone back to her room and changed into a thinner dress, but still was dressed properly for a woman of her stature. “I am,” she said as she came up to him, just seeing how relaxed he was.

Christian chuckled softly towards the beautiful brunette when she spoke about studying Spanish. Looking to her keenly, he answered swiftly, his Spanish accent rearing its head, "Hace...creo casí cien años o algo. Suficiente tiempo para aprenderlo completamente." He shrugged lightly, before then running a hand through his hair as he then debated on how he could move his things here. He didn't have all that much, just basically a few pieces of furniture he could leave there, then his past journals and other things from his past he's collected over the years, then that was it. Well, those things and clothes of course. He doubted they wouldn't be able to get it all in one trip to be honest. The immortal then pondered over who to ask. He wasn't sure if Mystique had one or not, as it wasn't customary for a woman to have such things without being a married woman, but this was Mystique they were talking about. She broke a lot of the "rules" of society, something Christian admired. She didn't let anyone talk down to her, and she was set in her own beliefs enough that she had little wiggle room, but not so that she wouldn't be a pain to anyone who dared to attempt to voice their own opinions. It was refreshing to say the least, half the reason he had spoken to her again was because not only had she heard his thoughts and understood French, but it had been her personality, how she had reacted and how direct she was. He loved it. One thing the male didn't want to think about was Camila. The woman with that curly hair that he always enjoyed tangling his fingers in, just toying with it. He had loved that woman before she died, but now Christian didn't seem to have to worry about it. Mystique couldn't die, she was only about 300 years younger than him, give or take. Probably about right, he just knew the year his birth was, that was it. No month or day, since those had been details he'd forgotten before his enhanced memory came into play, but he did know it was coming up soon, towards the end of summer or so. Good Lord another birthday. Pushing those thoughts aside as to not bother Mystique, Christian nodded at her thanks and mused, "But don't you already have a job? Or do you just generally work on a battlefield?" he inquired, purely curious. Suddenly his eyes locked onto her when she spoke about wearing only his shirt out in public. Nothing else. Giving her a look, he spoke, "If you do, I reserve the right to hit anyone who approaches you." he commented, partially serious and playful, "Well, only males...I'll have to beat them off left and right." he winked playfully. Standing up from his sitting position in her couch, Christian strode towards Mystique and brushed some of her hair, his body only inches from hers. He just plain enjoyed being so close to her. It was amazing, sent chills down his spine every time they touched, it was addictive. "Good, let's head out then." his lips meshed with hers for a few, brief, wonderful moments before he pulled away, and his fingers soon found hers, coiling his fingers within her own. The immortal looked to the other immortal next to him, "To the waterfall first? Worst case is if we head to Boston today, we stay the night there." Christian shrugged gently, offering Mystique a gentle smile as the duo walked together, him just wearing a shirt, pants and what was socially acceptable for men to wear in this day and age. Personally he liked what he had worn when he'd been younger in the Roman days, especially during the summer, with just the toga and everything that came with it. Helped keep them cool. Christian squeezed Mystique's hand gently as they approached the waterfall and he then kissed the side of her head gently, letting her sit and do as she pleased, and he'd follow suit.

Mystique smirked at his accent and just ran her hands up his chest and looked up at him, “You know, a deep Spanish accent has always been a huge turn on. It’s rather too bad that we have plans,” she said as she looked at him, smirking a bit more as she just kissed his lips rather teasingly as she just laughed softly. She really did adore it, only making her add one more thing to the list of one hundred thousand other things she liked. Of course that was an exaggeration, but she had not found anything so far that she did not like about him. Everything about them just blended so well that she could not help but be happy. Then she heard his thoughts about how he thought her personality was like and she had never much thought about it really before. She just was who she was, not really dwelling on anyone else but her own decisions. She was sometimes too independent and she wondered if maybe that would be an issue for them.
Mystique shrugged and thought about it, “Generally just on the battlefield, but I’m sure that would work well enough as a good reference. I doubt it would be hard to get a job as a nurse here, not with my experience,” she said simply, not trying to brag. She just smirked at the look that crossed his face and she just nodded, “Well, definitely.” She would agree to allow him to act his own if she had allowed him to leave her house like that. “Wait…what?” she paused as he said only males and she just growled. “Christian Elias! What if I left you for a woman?” She said, grimacing silently at the idea of being in love with another woman. The idea kind of sickened her, knowing in some ways that she only wanted men in her life because it seemed the most natural. When he came up to her so close, her breath just stopped for a moment as he brushed a few strands of hair from her face. She just smiled after a moment, loving his touch.
It was always amazing to her how they were always so in tune with each other, despite the fact that they could hear each other’s thoughts and see what the other was feeling. She just kissed him back, it so addictive to her as she just smiled against his lips, “mhmmmm,” she murmured against his lips before pulling back, her hand gently squeezing his as he brought up going to the waterfall first, considering the idea. “Sounds great!” She said as she just wondered what his place looked like. She walked with him as they seemed just to be rather content which was noticed by the silence that came between them.
She smiled as he kissed her temple and then she took a seat in his lap, just crossing her legs slowly. She knew this would be a long story indeed and here she was to begin. “I will begin,” she said as she just paused to kiss him softly, just looking at him for a mere moment. “I was born to Amelie and Thomas Hewitt 1968 years ago in Lyon, France. Amelie was much like myself, except more gentle and then again she was hard on me. My father, he was not around as much, but whenever he was around, it was like having a special guest in your house. Our family had to work hard in order to really stay alive because at that time, we just did not have much money or much to thrive on. Just simply was the time. I did not have an education outside of housework and eventually helping raise my younger sister, Jade. She was born when I was around 17. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Just so small, so delicate,” she said, pausing as she felt herself jumping ahead to images that popped in her head.
“At the end of that year, my father kind of had a celebration for me basically becoming a woman. That’s when he taught me how to dance,” she smiled as she just already felt the emotions in her build up. “Then for a while until I was 27, I raised Jade. She was 10 at the time,” she said as she just once again stopped, looking at the waterfall, readjusting herself slightly. “Then, February 12, 70 A.D., some of the Gauls had gone pillaging through the city. I watched them…” she breathed in slowly, “…I watched them rape my mother and sister while they held me back. It was so funny to them, and Jade, she was only ten,” she said, her tone so soft as a single tear rolled down her cheek. “Then things turned to me. I was beaten, I was raped, and I just let them, not really seeing much after all of my family lay there dead next to me. Everything seemed to go black, but that’s when I made a deal, simply to get revenge,” she paused, turning to him and looking at Christian, wondering if his opinion about her might change because of it. “I…killed the men who defiled and murdered the only people I had close to me,” she said as she studied his expression before continuing.

Christian was painfully aware of Mystique's hands running up his chest and she purred about the accent. The Immortal gave her an offended look, before he spoke, "Well, I'll just keep that in mind." a devious look fell on his features. Oh yes, he'd definitely keep that in mind. He fell silent and pensive as she spoke about the battlefield job she had. Personally he was glad she had worked the last battle he'd been in. That way they had met. He was curious to know how things would be different now if they hadn't. If Daniel hadn't been hurt and Christian didn't carry him back to the medic tent, or if Christian had just left to go back to fight and let Daniel stay with Mystique. Little things like that. Christian tilted his head slightly, as he then drew an arm around Mystique, sighing softly, enjoying the scent of her sweet-smelling shampoo to engulf his senses for a brief moment as he spoke, "Perhaps we might even work in the very same office." He grinned lightly, "I've been thinking of opening my own practice, especially off the battlefield, to help keep up with the soldiers who return home, and everyone else who isn't fighting." he commented, his mind traveling, plotting. It could work, that much he knew, and he wondered if Mystique would join him. He really hoped she would. He figured she might, but he certainly wouldn't hold her back if she wanted to work back on the battlefield. If Christian knew the people like he did, most doctors went and treated soldiers just to be able to say that they had been in the war, but that they didn't fight. Only a few though, as he knew most doctors were there doing what they enjoyed doing, helping others. He couldn't help but laugh as she called him his full name and proclaimed leaving him for a woman. The male gave her a look that read, 'I'm a male darling, and I highly doubt you would in this day and age' before giving her a passion-sealed kiss quickly, just teasing her, "I'm not too worried about that." he mused calmly, eyes locking onto her silently, as if daring her to press that matter, playfulness appearing in his eyes as he did so. Though as they approached the waterfall, Christian could sense the slight change in atmosphere around Mystique, and he didn't need to be able to see her aura or hear her thoughts to notice that. Carefully as he then sat down, her sitting down on his lap, he was particularly glad that they had their own privacy, and as her lips met his once more, Christian grinned lightly into the small token of love before hearing her speak, telling him of her story. So it did prove to him he was older than her by about 300 years or so. They suffered the same thing by the same people, well, by the same people. The bloody Gauls. Christian's grip tightened on Mystique slightly, though he remained silent, giving her a gentle nod to tell her to keep going. He wanted to know everything she was willing to share with him.
