hey there! so, tell us all about you... let's start off with the basics. what do we need to know?

"My name is Sophie Oliver and I'm thirteen years old. I'm is short for my age. I'm not even five feet tall. I have long light brown hair that flows down my back to the middle of my back. It's wavy and a bit curly. My eyes are a light brown color and I have long eyelashes. I'm very slim and lanky with long, gangly limbs.
I have a long scar on my back that runs from my right shoulder blade to the small of my back. This is from where Drake, my insane uncle, tried to cut me open and kill me but I was found and able to be saved before I could be killed. I also have small, round burn scars on my forearms from abuse caused by a past foster family. I'm a straight human girl. Everyone calls me Sophie, by the way."

"She is very protective of the ones she loves but she can take it to a foolish level, like stepping into dangerous situations when she's trying to be protective or helpful. She's very playful, She loves snow and being outside. she doesn't like to hurt anyone or anything. She is very stubborn and it gets her into trouble. So does her temper. She's non-judgemental and will get along with just about anyone as long as they are nice to her. She's very independent and likes to do things for herself which she also goes overboard with, often refusing help when she really shouldn't. Sophie likes animals, holidays, winter, music (anything but classical really) and making friends. She afraid of spiders, crowds, angry people, and snakes. She doesn't like hot weather, moody people, onions, bugs, traffic, and loud noises. As far as quirks go she bites her nails when she's lying, she paces or runs away when she's scared or nervous, and she never stays in one place long. She'll like you as long as you're nice to her.
Sophie loves to read. She can often be found sitting around with a book. She also loves to wander and explore new places. Being a foster child and moved around as much as she is, she has plenty of chances to find a new place to explore. Sophie also loves winter, candy, swimming, listening to music, sneaking into the movies, and animals.
She hates school. It's the bane of her existence and she skips a lot! She also hates angry people and being yelled at. She'll either run away or stand there and cry. She hates crying in front of people too. Sophie can't stand bugs or spiders or anything like that. All that stuff creeps her out. She hates it when it's too hot outside. She also doesn't like moving as much as she has to.
As far as strengths, Sophie is very friendly and can be outgoing in the right situation. She also a good liar which has come in handy in the past, especially when she's been in trouble for something. She's also good at pretending to get along with people she doesn't like. That too has come in handy at times.
Her weaknesses would definitely be her temper. She can hold it in only for so long before she starts to yell and has a tantrum that gets her into trouble. She also considers that fact that she's an orphan to be one of her weaknesses. She also doesn't handle emotional stress very well and that will often be the cause of her just running away somewhere for a while until she can get herself together.
She fears her foster family which is why she doesn't spend much time there. She also fears in uncle. She's never been caught by the cops and that freaks her out. She has no idea where he could be. She secretly drinks pretty regularly. That kind of helps with the bad memories and the emotional pain sometimes.
She bites her nails when she lies and she tends to run off to do a little under aged drinking quite a bit. She secretly wishes to find a permanent family and to be adopted but she hasn't been in the right situation yet. Sophie's not very religious but she does believe in a higher power. She believes there has to be something out there for her to have been able to survive being attacked by her uncle.
Sophie agrees with the war but she thinks that everyone should be able to exist together and get along. She's constantly looking over her shoulder when she's out alone but doesn't want to stop doing what she would regularly do. She thinks that if she can survive a murderer then she can handle most other stuff too."

"Sophie was born to Jake and Maya Oliver on February 13, 1998. They lived in Boston, MA which is where Sophie was born. Sophie was actually born two weeks early after her parents were in a car accident which forced Maya's labor. Sophie had to be cut from her mother's womb after her mother died in the accident. It was just Soph and her dad after that.
Sophie and her father moved to Seattle to be closer to her father's mother after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and stayed after she passed away. Her life with her dad was pretty happy and uneventful. They settled in a nice ranch house in the country and had two dogs, Patch and Oliver.
Sophie's mother had a brother, Drake, that had been institutionalized for most of his adult life with a mental illness. One day he escaped the hospital and tracked down Sophie's dad. Drake murdered her dad and tried to kill Sophie but she survived. Drake was her only living relative that she knows about and so Sophie has been bounced from one foster family to another since her father died. Drake is nowhere to be found. The cops couldn't track him down and Sophie's attempted murder and the murder of her father are both still open cases."

"My name is Shannon and I found this site on We Own the Night's ads section. I've been rping for about five years now on various sites. I live in MA and I have a Himalayan cat named Oliver."

*Of course she didn't have the money for the movies but that didn't make much of a difference when you're as small as Sophie. Just pretend you have to go to the bathroom and sneak down into the theaters when all of the ushers are not looking. Easy. Sophie had made these plans earlier in the day after snagging the paper off of the porch of her foster family's house. Horror movies had always been her thing and since it was so close to Halloween, she figured that had to be something good playing. Of course, she never did hang around the house enough to really know for sure. She didn't get to watch much tv but the newspaper worked just as good for picking out a movie.*

*Since Sophie had already seen the first two Paranormal Activity movies she decided to see the third one. She managed to sneak down the aisle unseen and snagged the first seat in the back that she saw. She snuggled down deep in her seat and waited for the movie to start before pulling her flask out of her satchel bag. She never took her eyes off the screen as the whiskey burned down her throat. In fact the only sign she gave that she was drinking anything other than soda or water was a slight wince. Sophie was used to the stuff at this point.*

*The movie itself wasn't bad. Much better than the first two. At least one was actually scary. She left the theater feeling like she had just been on a roller coaster, the thrill of sneaking in and seeing something she wasn't old enough for. The alcohol probably helped too. She left the theater with the crowd and ducked into a second theater on her way out. This part wasn't planned but she wasn't ready to leave yet.*

*This second movie was just some kids flick but that didn't bother Sophie at all. She was just enjoying her time away and off the streets .*
