Azazel can be a very persuasive and charming man when he wants something. He knows how to woo the ladies, and manipulate the men, though admittedly he's naturally better at controlling women. He's great at seeing flaws in others and knows how to take advantage when the opportunities present themselves. He likes knowing he has power over others and that he can debilitate them. It makes him feel powerful, even though it may only be a temporary elation.

He technically lies all the time by portraying the truth as something else than it is in actuality by slightly altering the output of information, but he care or believe he's harming anyone by doing so. However, if someone asks him to do something very specific, or an extremely specific question, he will answer truthfully and binds himself to anything he says he will do. He is a man of his word, when he says he's going to do something, he's going to do it. He presents a warm, soft and friendly aura, but when he's alone or out of the public eye, he's very dominant and abusive. A part of him likes seeing other people suffering and miserable.

Although despite his bad traits, he does have wonderful good traits. He's diligent, which means he is persistent and consistent. He's very clean and orderly, so he has a system of doing things. Towards his own kind, or accomplishing a goal, he can be very determined and passionate, often going above and beyond what his or other people's expectations are, to please.

OVERALL

His parents met during a sea battle of two clans. The families had a rough history of fighting over food, territory, you name it.. but during all that two people from each clan happened to fall for each other. Not wanting to be subject to wrath from both sides, they left and eloped, bearing a son.

It was difficult for the family to make ends meet for the first few years, but after a while they became more proficient in earning their means. Being on land was something both of their previous families strictly prohibited. Even in their time of suffering and war, having low supplies and resources in their territory, they refused to venture on land to search for what they needed. However, both of Azazel's parents saw great value in it despite the severe warnings, and accessed the land, secretly trading and mingling among the humans for a better life.

For several years they went undetected, making profits and storing up a wealth for themselves. Soon other supernaturals began to weed into the few villages they frequently visited, causing competition and strife. They were taking after their families, being greedy and territorial in nature, but this time it was against other supernaturals and humans, not their own kind. Things went on like this for a while and the competition lessened as they were successful with driving most of the other supernaturals away with sheer persistence and ruthlessness. They had a long period of prosperity again, until trouble found them in the form of hunters.

They found out quickly what they could do, seeing as a few had attempted to kill them. There were so many of them in the area, it was like they had been tipped off and they were all targeting their small family. Maybe their ruthlessness was coming back and biting them, or maybe it was coincidence, but by this point, Azazel had decided that all supernaturals and humans weren't to be trusted. They were scum, beneath their kind.. slaves.
