Though she's laid-back, she takes some attention to what she's wearing, though she (usually) doesn't obsess over it, except for stuff when it comes to school and such. Jewelry, oh yeah. She always asks for stuff that doesn't rust, and claims that it's because her ears are sensitive, which is a lie, but she doesn't care, it protects the jewelry from getting hurt when she goes swimming.

OVERALL
This is the girl-next-door thing going on. I mean it, seriously. She will be the sweet girl that she always is, but a little bit of a mixture in her life is what she also likes. Dares? Sure, why not? Though often times Sara will back down when it gets too far, especially if she thinks someone is going to get hurt. Otherwise she's all for the harmless ones. This goes for people's self-esteem, she's quite motherly as well, and therefore always seems to have some first-aid stuff with her at all times. Hey, never know when you may need it, hm? Otherwise, Sara is laid-back, and she goes with the flow quite a bit - no pun intended. She doesn't worry about herself all that much, but once someone has a problem, she'll jump in to help them or to comfort them in any way that she possibly can, whether by singing and calming them with her voice, or just offering a shoulder to lean on.

Her heart is golden, but sometimes she can take it a bit too far, especially when protecting someone. Even though she's "younger," Sara will still make sure to stick up for someone if they need it, and won't back down till the other person does, as she tends to do quite a bit too, since she was raised an only child from her parents, she has grown up learning to accept others for who they are as well, especially, for goodness sake, she grows a tail when she gets wet. So yeah, no public swimming pool for her, hm? Sara does love marine life though, and can often times be swimming out in the waters and such, and in the old gym pool as well, where she knows it's always safe to do such a thing as swim.

OVERALL
It was any high school relationship, Veronica and Kyle were "in love" after only dating for 7 months. This is where things get tricky. Veronica and Kyle sleep together, and after wards, when she discovers she's pregnant - with his child, it really starts to hit the fan. No joke. Her father, some kind of guy in the ocean, strong and powerful and what-not, was horrified, and sent people up here to retrieve both of them to bring them down below to talk to them. That didn't happen. Veronica then told Kyle everything, and with them only being 18 and seniors in high school, she asked him what he wanted to do. Him being raised Catholic, asked if they could keep it. Veronica wasn't so sure, since she wanted to go to school to become a veterinarian or something. Nevertheless, Veronica and Kyle stayed together, and were engaged when Veronica gave birth to their beautiful baby daughter she let Kyle name Sara, Sara Jamie. Sara was brought into this world a healthy baby on a houseboat. Yes, that's right, Veronica wanted a natural birth, she didn't want her baby to have drugs in it when she came to life fully into the world. Kyle's parents were supportive and gave them the houseboat, and Veronica stayed with Kyle and Sara till Sara was about 1 or so, and Veronica left in the middle of the night, promising Sara she'd find her again someday. That day still has yet to come.

Needless to say, Kyle then took it upon himself to play Mr. Mom. He wasn't that bad, Sara believes either, considering he knew what his daughter would be, he still raised her to the best. He had friends over twice a month, while he asked his parents to watch Sara for the night, till he turned around 25, and Sara was 7, he began to look for a better job than a construction worker in Seattle, Washington. There, he then did find a job with a Health care facility, though it paid better, the hours sucked. Sara at school a lot of the day, and him off for some of the day, he only got to see her from about 3 when she got home to their apartment on land, to 5 or so when he had to leave for work. Nevertheless, someone somehow found out and threatened to call CPS on the young father. Horrified, he looked to Sara, who then told him not to worry, she'd be happy to lie, and though he was grateful for that, he told her she shouldn't lie to the authorities, unless to protect herself and only herself. Finding this a bit contradictory, Sara didn't say anything, as when she was about 10 years old, and Kyle was going on 29, he found his future bride, Beatriz. Beatriz moved here from Mexico when she was 14 and has been here since. They fell in love, and Sara was subject to Beatriz's doting parental styles for awhile till Beatriz learned just how much of a Daddy's Girl she was, and how she preferred to fish rather than shop. Course, the thing that we forgot to mention, was how did Sara not realize what she was? Well, since she is mostly a mermaid, but has some human in her, she can take things such as sponge baths and won't change. Therefore, Kyle always had her do that, and then came time for middle school and high school in Washington.

Sara hated it. She only liked to sing and dance, though the moment she discovered cheerleading, she fell in love. She could yell, have fun and dance or cheer at the same time. Making the varsity team for the middle school when she was in 7th and 8th grade, she was always eager to share the news with her then step-mother, who loved dear Sara, and Kyle as well, who had gotten a better job by this time, and was paid better with better hours, while Beatriz worked as a Social Worker, which Sara still finds interesting to this day. Having been a bridesmaid in Beatriz's wedding when Sara was 13, she adored girly things from then on. Not that she completely forgot about her father, but she began to hang out with her step-mother more, who then took that good energy back to Kyle, and the entire, small family flourished. Quite content with her life, Sara was stunned when her father told her that with their houseboat becoming illegal in Washington, they'd need to sell it, or ship it to this new place. By this time, Sara was the "popular" child in her high school. She had cheerleading under her thumb, she adored her boyfriend at the time, Lionel, and she had three best friends she shared everything with, those three who also stayed over-nights with her a lot on the houseboat. Outraged, Sara refused to speak to either one of them for a few days, but she quickly got over it, missing the human connection.

By the time Sara was 17, they were moving off to Florida, this is where her life gets interesting. Sara gets onto the cheerleading squad there, and after practice one day for volleyball, she refuses to shower with the girls, since she had never done it before. She was muscular and such - slightly, not that she was ashamed, but she was shy - she'd never done it before. Making up a quick excuse, Sara ran and bolted to her father's beach house, where they lived so they could easily access their houseboat when-ever they pleased. Course, Sara was curious, why she was never really allowed to take a bath. Pausing, Kyle then spoke to her about her real mother, especially since, Beatriz had quite darker skin than Sara, nonetheless, Kyle revealed to her a pearl necklace Veronica had left for Sara when she became an adult. Kyle figured it was better than nothing. He took Sara for a walk and onto their houseboat, before then, he spoke, saying it would be the only way to make Sara have it happen, he then threw her over-board. Needless to say, Sara was freaked - she hated water, especially having grown up around it. Flailing, she screamed for her father, scarred, before suddenly, her legs went numb, before she rapidly regained feeling, but - didn't have two legs. In their place, was a powerful, and quite beautiful, scaly - tail. It went up and down like a mammal's, but it looked like a fish's tail.

Horrified, Sara clung to the side of the boat, screaming for her father, as to what he'd done to her. Kyle reassured her, and took her up onto the back of the houseboat, and spoke, offering her a towel, telling her what she was. It was why she was so good singing, why everyone always loved her when she was singing, how she managed to influence people with her words, how she won fights and such a lot with Beatriz - which were rare. Stunned, Sara dried off and got her legs back, but she never forgot that day. She believed it never happened, till she was swimming in her school pool one day after school to make up for a day she was visiting a nearby college her senior year. Her tail had appeared, and she figured she was alone, so she didn't worry about it, now, she was comfortable and felt at home in the water. That's when her then boyfriend, Harry appeared, and drew close, startling her. Rapidly, Sara covered her tail with a large towel, and shouted at Harry to get out. Pausing, the boy was determined to see what was wrong, and he approached her, before Sara shoved him away, and he managed to grab her towel, she and realized he had had something else in mind. That didn't happen. Her tail was still there. Stunned and appalled, Harry called her a freak, then ran off, and Sara rapidly called Beatriz - who then worked with the state government.

How quaint. Nevertheless, when she told them Harry knew, they called Harry over - who reluctantly came, and Sara, not wanting to see him, shouted down at him, saying they were over, since he tried to get into her pants, which immediately made Kyle send him out. Her senior year continued all right, with Harry lurking, though he'd been sworn not to say anything to anyone, though he wasn't through with revenge yet. Sara was enjoying a date with some friends, when suddenly, someone shoved her aside and into a nearby car. She grunted and moaned, as the attacker pressed their body against her, as her friends screamed and dialed 911. By the time the cops got there though, Sara was being dragged off to a side alley, her friends unable to see or know what had happened. Sara, fighting against the masked guy, paused when he held up a bottle of water, threatening to drench her and reveal what she was to the place. Sara, freaking whined and told him, realizing it was Harry that she'd do anything if he just let her go. Harry began to force himself onto her, and scarred, Sara did manage to knee him in-between the legs before he got too far. Scrambling away, Sara narrowly dodged him shooting the water at her, as she stumbled into state cops, with her step-mother there, a look of death on her face.

She never heard about Harry again. Sara since, was given the houseboat for a graduation present, and she came to one of the two colleges here, mainly because she got a full-ride for singing, acting and dancing, three of her favorite passions, two of which she plans on getting a minor in. She's put Harry behind her, and now she's fully embraced what she is, a mermaid. The beautiful pearl necklace is always with her now, and it isn't too uncommon for someone to see Sara with the necklace on, even when she sleeps.
