Shin is a very quiet person. He had learned that even speaking to people expresses emotions and he just doesn't want to give them away yet. He seems cold and closed off from the world but that is a decoy so he doesn't truly become a emotionless bastard in the many years to come, he wants to preserve and keep his emotions for when he needs them the most. If he ever needs them the most. Shin would never just give someone a smile unless he thinks they truly deserve it. Shin as a funny way of thinking when people do bad things, he believes if you've done something horrible to someone you should be punished, which is why he dislikes humans so much. They do things and believe they can just get away with it.

Cold and harsh would be the best way to describe Shin, however if given the chance you will find out he's just confused about everything. He believes he made the wrong choice when he sold his soul to Satan, and oddly enough he believes in the Church. Shin is trying to find peace within himself and forgive himself for what he did those many years ago, it's hard for him to just let everything go since he often keeps things locked up inside his heart. Trying to break his hard exterior is very difficult but if someone is willing enough to keep at it, Shin might let some emotions slip. Would he ever show it? Maybe, it just depended on who was strong enough to try.

Shin was born in the Xia Dynasty in China. It was the first recorded Dynasty in China and the country at the time was filled with fighting between two tribes. The Xia tribe and the Chi You's (which was called the Li tribe) tribe, Shin was born in the Xia tribe and from a young age he learned to fight for his family. He was taught that anyone in the Li tribe was bad and should be killed without hesitation as they would kill you just as fast. He understood this and growing up he lost count of all the people he murdered from the other tribe. His family wasn't wealthy in the slightest at the time and for money they would sell pottery, which was fine and all until the day came when he was attacked by the other tribe. It wasn't a group who attacked the 14 year old Shin, no it was a girl. She was about his age, a year younger at most and she was beating the crap out of him. For whatever reason Shin just didn't want to hit her back, so when she asked why he wasn't fighting back he just answered "because you're to beautiful"

It was like a snap of the fingers, the pair seemed to be unbreakable. Shin learned the girl's name was TaeMi and he was correct about her being just a year young than him. They began to developed a friendship that was not only strong but strictly forbidden. He was a Xia and she was a Li. They tried to keep it a secret and for most of their young lives they did. They met in the cover of night and began to make that friendship something deeper and stronger. The two fell in love with one another and when TaeMi turned 21 he asked her to run away with him, away from their families so they could be together. The girl who shared the same ideas with Shin, agreed to run away with him. They planned that on the night of the New Moon when the world was covered by darkness they would find each other and run away. Shin grabbed all the money and all the things he could, he felt bad for leaving his family behind but they wouldn't understand him. So that night he left to be with the one he loved most.

TaeMi was there as they planned and they ran off together, to the coast where no one would be able to find them. A month went by of their happiness and Shin learned he would soon be a father. Both his life and his love's life were perfect in everyway, but like a snap of the fingers it changed so suddenly. The Li tribe ended up finding the two at their home and while Shin was working, they caught and bounded TaeMi, when he returned home he too was caught and bounded while TaeMi's father did the unthinkable. No matter how much pleading Shin did, it wasn't enough and right before his eyes, TaeMi's father slit his daughter's throat. Killing her and the unborn child within her. After watching the love of his life die, he begged for his own death but it would not come. The Li tribe left him with his beloved dead wife. Shin never had cried so much in his life, but with his tears came a strong hate for everyone and anyone. He hated people and wished death to anyone and everyone who came close to him. It was awful to think about, but it gave Shin another chance.

When he buried his wife after her murder, someone came forth to him. Shin couldn't make out what it was or even who it was but they asked if he wanted revenge for his love's death. Shin didn't have to think and he quickly agreed and the being explained what he would do. Give him ever lasting life and a body that would not die. For the mere price of his soul. The deal almost seemed too good to be true and Shin gladly gave his soul to (who he learned later would be Satan) for immortality.
The removal of his soul hurt like nothing he had ever felt before but once it was gone, he felt nothing anymore. He was told that emotions were given and if he used them up he would become nothing but a blob. Shin figured that if he saved them he could use them for later and that is what he did. Shin felt nothing, not even the pain of his love and child's death. With his new gift, the male left to go and search for those who were responsible for killing his wife. He didn't feel the wrath or the revenge, he killed them simple because he wanted too, however he did enjoy killing them which coasted some of his emotions.

Life seemed to be completely different when he was given immortality, harder in a way. Shin watched his family and friends die right before his eyes and there was nothing he could do about it. He realized that becoming close to people who were human would just bring pain and he couldn't afford to have that. He hated humans for how weak they were and how easily they died. He hated them because they made him want to feel and he just couldn't have that. He vowed that he would never care about anyone but himself and life became a lot easier.

The years flew by quickly, and Shin experienced many things during his long life on earth. He traveled to Japan, Korea, Russia, Europe, anywhere you could think of Shin had been there. He mastered every new language that seemed to come his way. Life was an adventure with him now; he could do anything and get away with it. One of his favorite places to go to was France. He loved the culture and loved the people and everyone seemed to love him. It was a wonderful place to be in 1620 Paris France. There was a day during his stay in France when he felt his life change for the better. He remembered walking along the streets and seeing a old gentlemen on the steps of a Church, even if Shin hated humans he was still a gentlemen. He helped the male into the Church, and was almost intoxicated by what he felt. Peace. For the first time in his life Shin felt at peace and the Father (the old man he helped) seemed to notice the change on the man's face. Not only did he notice the change but he also the darkness that embodied Shin. He wasn't scared but he did give Shin a slice of advice that he kept with him till this day. Have Faith. Shin didn't know what he meant by that really or if he was talking about having faith in the Church or himself but he still uses it.

Again time seemed to move forward again but the male had a new hope for the world and a little for humans. He still didn't like them, but not all of them were stupid. Shin was told that a large amount of ships had left for the new world and he thought it would be a good idea. On one of the boats, he left for the new world which would later be called America. A home of freedom and new hopes, or so he thought. At first it seemed like England was under rule for the longest of times until the Americans wanted to revolt against one their founding land. They won the war and time went on. As time went on it appeared that all humans wanted to do was cause wars. In American there was the civil war, then World War 1 and then 2, it was like a never ending cycle. He tried to remember what the Father told him all those years ago, but it was getting harder and harder to think about that.

Fast forward to 2011, Shin is currently the CEO of a large wine making business (called Château de Tor) that makes wine all over the world. He moved to a new town in hopes of finding a quiet little place to call home for the time being.
