RORY DAGEUS REAGAN
'Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked.'
'Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked.'
FULL NAME Rory Dageus Reagan
NICKNAMES None.
AGE 21 ; is actually 49
GENDER Male
BIRTHDAY August 24, 1962
SPECIES Fallen Angel
ALLIANCE Darkness.
SEXUALITY Heterosexual.
PLAY-BY Rupert Grint
EYES A brilliant jade green, Rory's eyes are nearly always resplendent with mischievous playfulness
HAIR Rich auburn in color, his hair is soft and often times wavy. He prefers to keep it cropped close to his ears but may often be lazy enough to let it grow longer than that. Though he keeps on top of his shaving, he can also be seen sporting a gingered red five o' clock shadow.
BODY TYPE Slim, lean, and tall, Rory is more like a bean pole than a bodybuilder when it comes to body type. However, Rory exercises regularly to keep fit and lithe and his arms are muscularly built.
HEIGHT 5'11"
WEIGHT 155 pounds
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES As if his red hair isn't distinguishing enough, Rory has three scars as well. One is a one-inch scar that runs along the bottom of his jaw. He acquired this one from when he was running around the edge of his pool, ignoring his stepmother's wishes, and tripped and skinned himself on the cement. He also has a scar right above his heart and one parallel to that on his back from the bullet that ripped through him and killed him. On top of that, he also has two deep scars on his back from where his wings were clipped when he was once a guardian angel.
STYLE Rory is a minimalist and chooses to wear comfort over fashion, liking plain solid colored T-shirts and jeans with sneakers.
LIKES
- Coconut pancakes with strawberries and syrup; hold the whipped cream!
- Running - Rory used to love flying (the one thing he loved about being a guardian angel) but since his wings were clipped, he compensates by running
- Not having any responsibility - After being murdered by his father, Rory was under the impression that he was going to rest in peace. Instead, he was charged with the responsibility of being a little girl's guardian. The pressure was intense. Rory much prefers being a fallen angel and having no responsibility whatsoever.
- Quiet - While some people find silence unnerving, Rory finds it peaceful. After dying nearly 28 years ago, he doesn't take any moment of serenity for granted. He longs for the reprieve he was supposed to have been granted in death.
- Mystery novels - Rory loves to read (what else is there to do with his immortality?) but his favorite books are mysteries.
- Small comforts - Food in his belly, lights above his head, warm, running water. Rory will never take these things for granted again. After living almost two years in poverty, Rory knows it's much better to have these things than not.
- Dogs - Man's best friend, no? Back when he was still human, Rory owned a dog all to himself that he loved like a child. However, due to his family's financial difficulties, Rory had to give his dog up. Now, as an angel, Rory has another dog - a Boxer named Madonna.
- Ice cubes - Crunch, crunch, crunch. It's a bad habit of his but he can't help but to chew on ice cubes, especially when nervous or uncomfortable.
- Other redheads - Gingers of the world, unite!
- Listening to music loud - Yes, he's that obnoxious guy that doesn't listen to a word you say because his iPod is on full blast. And he doesn't care that he's ignoring you either.
DISLIKES
- Religion, God, angels, churches, etc - Rory's seen it all and though he's far from a satanist, he's not a big fan of religion and angels either. His opinions differ vastly from God and guardian angels. Explains why he fell, right?
- Coffee - Gross. -.-
- Reality television - Especially Jersey Shore. He finds it all ridiculous and pathetic.
- People watching - He did quite enough of that for his ten years as a guardian angel and he certainly doesn't want to do it for fun.
- Guns - Well, he's immortal. However, after being shot and killed by his father, his phobia of guns seems justified.
- Doing laundry - He'll avoid it for days until he's down to his last pair of boxers.
- Vegetables - He doesn't discriminate against vegetables. He just hates them all.
- Guardian angels - He hates them and their superiority complexes. Ick.
- Relationships - Too much responsibility, commitment, and effort for something that will inevitably end.
- Reece - Why, out of all people, would she choose to follow him? It annoys him. He doesn't have answers for her and frankly, even if he did, he wouldn't necessarily want to help her either.
STRENGTHS
- Honesty - Even as a human, Rory has always been honest, even brutally so. He believes that lies don't help anyone and that everyone has the right to the truth. Don't ask him a question unless you really want an honest answer.
- Good listening skills - Not a big talker, Rory much prefers to listen. Not only that, but he's good at at it too. Though he shuns responsibility and burden, if he cares about you, he's an excellent shoulder to cry on.
- Sympathy - Though he doesn't act like it, Rory is incredibly sympathetic. It's not lack of compassion that got his wings clipped but rather, his overabundance of it.
- Sincerity and passion - Rory never does something without purpose. If he doesn't trust a decision 100%, then he won't go through with it. This stems from the fact that he is incredibly passionate about those people and issues he cares about and never says or does something without meaning it.
WEAKNESSES
- Pessimism - Rory always sees the worst in every situation. Always.
- Jealousy - Maybe it's the stereotypical red-head gene coming through, but Rory gets jealous very easily. He wants to be the best at everything and if he's not, he gets competitive. He was envious of his stepsister, Holt, in life, and as angels, he's still jealous of her perfectness.
- Shirking responsibility - If he doesn't have to do it, he won't. And you better just accept it.
- Impatience - Despite being lazy and always being late himself, Rory is hypocritical in the sense that he expects others to be fast and efficient. He hates when things don't happen quickly.
HABITS
- Chewing ice cubes when nervous or uncomfortable
- Always being late
- Forgetting to brush his hair
FEARS
- Guns
- Never getting the peace he desires
- Death of a loved one
DESIRES
- To find peace, quiet, and serenity.
SECRETS
- Rory finds his "afterlife" as a fallen angel to be just as much work, if not more, than his life as a human. Sometimes, he daydreams of ways to instigate his stepsister, a guardian angel, into killing him just so he can be rid of his "meaningless existence".
OVERALL
To sum it up, Rory is a pessimist. In his defense, he's had a lot of shit in his life that justifies his horrible outlook on life. As a result, Rory often doesn't attract many friends as not many are willing to tolerate his terrible attitude. However, Rory does not necessarily see this as a bad thing as he has become a bit adverse to forming close relationships with others. After losing his charge as a guardian angel, Rory is hesitant to form a relationship with anyone, choosing to be aloof and anti-social. He has also lost trust and faith in God and the other angels. The current outcome of the world with so much death only further solidifies this opinion of his.
However, Rory is not completely a lost cause. Underneath all his pessimism and tough exterior, lies a cliched heart of gold. He is a compassionate, sweet, and gentle individual who would willingly lie down his life for those he loves. Though he's petrified of commitment, it is his most secret desire to find someone to share his life with. He is tired of being alone and would love to find someone to love. But is there someone patient and brave enough to share their life with this guarded fallen angel?

OVERALL
Connor and Lisa Reagan were the perfect couple. High school sweethearts, the two of them had been happily married for five years before Lisa became pregnant with their first child. The two were elated about the prospect of welcoming a son or daughter into their house and immediately began preparing for their child's arrival. Complications arose on the twenty-fourth of August, nearly two weeks before Rory's intended due date, when Lisa experienced severe cramping, acute abdominal pain, and a rush of blood between her thighs. The Reagans rushed to the emergency room, fearful for Rory's life as well as Lisa's. After already having a blood clotting disorder to begin with, Lisa's condition was only intensified when they found out she was experiencing a placenta abruption. As a result of the placenta tearing away from her uterus, Rory was left without a source of oxygen and Lisa was left with an immediate need for surgery. Rory entered the world through C-section blue-faced and not breathing. And by the time the doctors had forced enough oxygen into his lungs and restored his heartbeat, Lisa had already bled out on the surgical table.
Though Connor was devastated by his wife's loss, he clung on to Rory, making him his first priority. As a result, Connor worked hard to support Rory as a single parent and to provide his son with everything he could possibly want. Connor even took a huge risk in starting his own restaurant so that he and Rory could live comfortably and happily. Rory appreciated everything his father did and grew up with a normal childhood despite not having a mother. He was energetic, healthy, and had an enthusiastic passion for knowledge. The two led busy lives and it wasn't until Rory was sixteen that Connor really started to date again. Only a year later, Connor was married to Jessica Holt. However, it wasn't so much his new stepmother that bothered Rory but his new stepsister. His stepsister was the perfect golden child, three years older than him with a scholarship to the university of her choice, a thriving social life, and a charming personality. She surpassed Rory in a multitude of activities and classes and in an attempt to make himself shine even more in his new wife's eyes, Connor began spending more time with his stepdaughter than with his own son.
For two years, Rory spent his life in the shadow his new stepsister and kept to himself, silently jealous of her attention and his father's affection for her. At the same time though, Rory had been accepted to a nearby university and was getting decent grades though he still wasn't able to out shine his stepsister. Disaster struck however at the end of Rory's nineteenth year. Connor's restaurant wasn't doing so well as more and more people had less money to spend. As a result, the Reagans were slowly descending into poverty. Rory watched everything around him began to unravel. By the time Rory was nearing his twenty-first birthday, he had had to get rid of his dog, drop out of school to get a job and help with the income, and the whole family was living off of Ramen noodles and leftovers. Two weeks after Rory's twenty-first birthday, Connor's restaurant was shut down and the Reagans were officially declared bankrupt. Scrounging up the tiny bit of money he had left, Connor bought a pistol and in a fit of hysterical insanity, shot his wife, his stepdaughter, his son, and then himself.
Because Rory and his stepsister were considered pure and innocent, they were granted the honor becoming guardian angels. At first, Rory was agitated. He had been murdered by his own father and instead of being granted peace, he was charged with the responsibility of protecting another person. How could he protect someone else if he couldn't have even saved himself? However, his initial opinions changed when he was granted his charge – an adorable newborn girl named Abigail. She was affectionately nicknamed Abby and Rory knew he wasn't biased when he said she was the cutest baby he'd ever seen. He began to love the child as his own and looked forward to seeing her everyday. Taking the chance, though it was a risky one, Rory decided to get to know young Abby even more by presenting himself to her on her third birthday. Since then, the two became more than guardian angel and charge but rather had a relationship similar to that of a father and daughter.
Devastation occurred on Abby's tenth birthday when Rory received a direct order from the big man himself. It had been decided that it was Abby's turn to leave this life and enter another. As a result, Abby was going to be involved in a car accident and not survive. It was Rory's order to stand by and let it happen; “fate” as God would call it. When Rory refused to obey and stand by as Abby died, he was forced to by a small force of other guardian angels. When Abby died, Rory knew his life as a guardian angel was over. How could he ever continue to work with these other guardian angels and God after such an event? He had been ordered to care for a young girl who he loved more than anything only so that she could safely reach her tenth birthday where she was then fated for her death. Rory willingly accepted the clipping of his wings as he fell from grace and became a fallen angel, never wanting the pain and responsibility of having another charge again.
Currently, Rory lives concealed as a human and categorized as “dark” simply because of the negative conotations behind his status as a fallen angel. Though he doesn't wish anybody to die, Rory prefers to do nothing, giving up all responsibility entirely, and letting “fate” decide what should happen. He refuses to become emotionally attached to anyone and hopes that one day soon he can find the serenity he's been looking for since death.

RP SAMPLEThe heavy rope slipped idly through Dane's fingers as he tested its strength with a snap of its lead and watched it coil like an angry snake at his feet. It wasn't too thick or even too solidly reinforced but it would service his needs - and that was all that mattered. He sighed abruptly as he perched himself upon the head of a tombstone, silently apologizing to one "Hector Ouellette" for having encroached on his personal territory. It was more than he would've ever done for his deceased father, Justin Kutchit, or a certain pair of permanently retired Council members named Eva and Shawn. And that was saying something considering that Dane never disrespected the dead. But how could one respect someone in death when that respect didn't even exist in life? It was a sticky situation to be sure but, then again, Dane mused that the three of them should've thought about that years ago. There was absolutely no excuse for stealing somebody's child - ever. It would've been understandable had Dane tried to give Gemma up for adoption but that was not the case. Instead, he had been brain washed and mind wiped and had forgotten about the existence of his very own daughter. Eva and Shawn probably hadn't even bat an eyelash accepting a kidnapped child. He was grateful that they raised Gemma so well but he would never forgive them for a job that he knew he could've done better if given the chance...
Yes, Dane was bitter. He had been dwelling upon this news for a little over four days, wondering who he should tell, if anyone. Gemma had noted that he was addled but Dane didn't know how he could ever bring up that everything she had ever known was a lie too. It was too much for Dane to handle and he didn't want Gemma to have to face the same emotions he was feeling. Those troublesome, disheartening thoughts that weighed on his heart and mind. He was loathe to leave Gemma's side these past few days but he never regretted spending time with Danielle. He hadn't seen her in a week though he had spoken to her over the phone a few times. Dane had planned a new training lesson for her but she had been too sick to patrol for that week. Today, Danielle had confirmed that she felt well enough to train. It would be a great thing for the both of them - they'd get to see each other, Danielle would gain more fighting experience, and it would take Dane's mind off of his problems. Dane looked at his watch again... If only Danielle was on time, Dane wouldn't have to contemplate using the rope on himself.
