THE RULES
ONE. when you make your account, please sign up with something easy to remember, such as your character's first name. please make it clean, and when you have signed up, change your display name to; FIRST MIDDLE LAST, because it won't be done for you. also, please wait till you're accepted to post ANYWHERE, besides the claims. if not, you'll be asked to save them and delete the thread, or we'll do it.
TWO. when doing your application, please do it as best as you can, and meet the minimums because we'll check. it really isn't hard, and if you have started an app, but didn't have time to finish it then add [ND] in the title, and when you're done just get rid of that. simple as. please do not hassle the staff to check out your application. we have lives, just like you, so we will get to it within two days max. this is just common courtesy. if there are bans placed on any of the species, they are only for original characters. canons and want ads are fine to make even if there are bans.
THREE. in terms of activity, we know that a person can't be on twenty-four seven, so all we ask you is it do at least two posts a week, and to log in every two days. this really is fair, because we have considered that you may be busy. if you plan in leaving us for more than a week, please post in the away board. activity checks will be once every other month, so don't miss those!
FOUR. now, this rule may seem like a joke, but it really isn't. you must chat to us in the chat box. really, this is no joke, we will talk to everyone, because we are very nice people, and we love welcoming you as well, we always welcome new people with open arms, and we will make you feel like family, and if you don't post in the chat box, i'll get my ninja weasels to come after you because we just want to get to know you as a person, and plot with your characters.
FIVE. you are allowed ten characters per person, however they all must remain active. if you have like five charries, and decide to make another one, we will check the activity of all of those characters and decide if you can cope with another character, only because what's the point in having so many characters that you can't keep up with? if you get bored of a character, as an admin and we will delete the account and move your application to application archives, just to keep our forum tidy. if you want 11 or more characters, you must PM ' admin ' so i can check if you're keeping your other babies active and then i'll give you permission to make 11.
As an addition to this rule, you must have 2 posts on each account within the space of a month to be able to make new characters. For more information, click here.
SIX. only one character per account, even if it is twins. if there's two characters on one account, it really gets confusing, and i'm sure that even twins aren't together twenty-four seven.
SEVEN. make sure that your play-by is a celebrity, not a cartoon or anime or myspace famous cause some of them don't want you using their pictures. also, check the face claim to see if your wanted play-by is not taken. if you have made an app, and chose a celeb but did not claim them, and then another person did an app with the same celeb after you and claimed them, then they will get the celeb merely because they bothered to do the claim, and you will have to change your face. simple as.
EIGHT. all rp's must be in third person and past tense, as if you're writing a story. it is easier to write like that, and it's merely the custom of proboards. also, please check you grammar, punctuation and spelling. it's not hard to re-read your writing, and use a spell check right next to the 'preview' button. however, we know that not everyone is perfect, so don't worry too much, we are not grammar nazis or anything.
NINE. at least 300 words per post. it really isn't hard, all you need to do is add description and thoughts and feeling, and voila. one-liners really don't cut it merely because it gives the other person nothing to work with, and it just makes the board look really messy. also, if a person gives you 700 words, please try to at least do 500 or so, so that their effort doesn't go to waste. it is quality over quantity, but just try your best. however, 300 in response to 800 words seems unfair and frustrating, so try to match the post above somewhat.
TEN. absolutely no mary sues or gary stus. no one is perfect, everyone has flaws. i don't think i need to explain any more.
ELEVEN. this is probably the most important rule. have fun. seriously, this board was made for your entertainment, and we hope that you enjoy it, i know these rules sound rather moany, but they're here for a reason, but now that the hard part is done, please enjoy yourself and pm me with any questions you may have.
TWELVE. due to the PB rules and the regulations, though we are all aware there are sites that allow....quite a bit, but this site will not tolerate anything PG-13 or higher anywhere. This is only because some people really aren't comfortable with anything over that limit, and we like to be a friendly community to absolutely everyone, so keep everything as limited as you can. That's not to stop you from having a little fun in some contents, just not over the top and not overly explicit or specific.
THIRTEEN. taking into consideration of a member, as well as speaking about this, the staff have decided the following ratios for members in regards to hybrids.
- Upon joining you must first apply with a regular character, a fallen, guardian, etc. Keeping in mind if an angel went against a fallenximmortal hybrid, the guardian would win, due to them being an angel, same thing with demons (new), due to them being a "pure" version of it. Kapeesh?
- Once you reach 25 IC posts with your regular character, then you may apply for a hybrid, make sure to list their weaknesses, and their strengths, they're not all powerful. <3
- If you desire to create a second hybrid, then you must have 100 IC posts in over all of the accounts you have. Mind you, this does not affect if you want to create a human or something, then you can create as many regular breeds as you desire. If you want a third hybrid, it's 200 IC posts overall and so on. So, if you have 2 accounts or 12, it's still 100 over all of them.
If it's unclear, please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff and we'd be more than happy to help you.
FOURTEEN.
if you are a new member you need at least one decent/active thread with a character before making another character. this is to make sure all your characters remain active from the start and that you don't just keep making new brain babies as tempting as it is.
FIFTEEN.
here, we seem to have a very large difference in the boy/girl ratios. please consider the ratios when making your characters. thank you.
SIXTEEN.
we have come to notice members who come and go and leave unfinished plots in their wake that people were excited about. because it has happened so many times, we aren't going to allow members who have left more than three times to return because of this. if you have any reason as to why you should return, pm the staff and we'll decide if you're reliable and trust that you won't devastate us by leaving us once more
