OVERALL

On one side, Soren is an outgoing guy. He likes to stay active and have fun. He has a difficult time refusing a party or causing some harmless mischief. He has a way of getting into situations that cause himself trouble, often causing others around him to get in trouble as well due to association. Even though negative things occur more frequently than he would like them to and he may get punished for the consequences, somehow he still persists to find the good and pleasurable things in the circumstances. To some he may seem crazy and careless, but to others, he may seem resilient and exciting. It's true, there is rarely a dull moment around Soren. He likes knowing he has the power to influence other people's emotions and actions. He likes getting a rise out of them. If trouble doesn't find him, he's bumping into it.

Some people he dislikes right away, some people he is fond of right away, it depends on the person and the situation, but it's true that Soren habitually operates on extremes. He's the kind of guy that either loves you or hates you, and will let you know both ways. Sometimes it's not as obvious how he communicates, he will use body language instead of words to get his points across, other times he's straight to the point and says it right to their face, depending on his ideas of their involvement with him in the future. Sure, any relationship is a two way street, but Soren has a way of getting into people's good graces just as fast as he can get them to despise him.

He fights with Claire to see her scream and is the closest to Rissa. The boy is a big fan of extreme sports like snowboarding, snowmobiling, sky diving, you name it, he'll do it. He also has a thing for pranks, but his pranks are a far cry from the typical whoopee cushion; he prefers them to be more dangerous. OVERALL

Being raised in a dangerous royal family of assassins, Soren became knowledgeable of the arts of killing. From a young age his parents trained him to efficiently fight and he excelled in his new-found talents. It came to him naturally and easily, knowing where to strike and when, but most importantly, how. He liked being powerful and having an edge over others around him. Sometimes he would even bully other kids and steal from them. He enjoyed the rewards of being stronger than others, until one day, when he did it to a girl, one that was different than other girls he had met. She, instead of screaming and running away or getting infuriated and fighting back, just sat pathetically and wept like a broken-hearted puppy. Surprised and feeling a bit convicted, Sam got to thinking. After that day things changed, and even though he was trained in ruthless fighting methods, he knew deep down he still had a heart that believed what he was doing was wrong.

As he became older and more mature, he grew out of fighting, and instead, took up extreme sports and pranks as a way of getting a "high". Extreme sports gave him something to keep busy with, while at the same time allowing him to burn off some steam. As for pranks, he found amusement from them(despite his tricks being dangerous to others and, at times, himself), and also a way to punish other people for their, in his view, "crimes". This way he still felt significant and powerful, without the expense of lives, or having to irrevocably traumatize others mentally and emotionally. At this age he slowly became hardened and less caring of other people's feelings, so even this was just a phase.

As for his family, seeing his sister Rissa leave, he became curious of the world outside of his parent's reach. He wanted to leave their demanding, authoritative, and restricting grip that had him tightly locked in place for their own uses. He didn't know where to go exactly, he was still young and didn't have a lot of access to supporting himself. However, one night, after stealing some valuable things from his parents, he quietly packed up and snuck out, never to be seen again. There was no regret towards his actions, for he had seen how they treated his other siblings, like they were just pawns, and replaceable if they weren't up to their standards of usefulness and efficiency. He was like them and he knew it. Reality did hurt for a time, but eventually he got over it. The truth was more comforting than lies. After he left, he wasn't sure where he was going to go next, but he did know that wherever he was going it was better than with them, even if they were rich.

Time passed since then and now he lives with the Rugara family. They aren't the ideal family either, but then again, what family is day in and day out? They are quite rare anymore.
